I got a flat tire on the highway while traveling 2 hours home for an important family event and was in a big rush and the manager, Dennis, and employee, Josh, were so kind and helpful. They were able to get me a new tire and out of there within an hour and I was able to make it home in time. I am so grateful for all of their help and will definitely be using VIP again in the future. Thanks again!

I had my tires rotated at VIP on Riverside Street in Westbrook, Maine. The experience was great. They scheduled me at a time that worked for me and were very professional at the service desk. Brendan, an employee there, took extra time to explain some repairs that my car will need and prioritized which repairs were most important at this time. He was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I will recommend VIP toall my friends who need car service, tires etc..

These guys are awesome! I had a flat tire a few days before I stopped in there(no appt. and they looked at my car within an hour). I asked them to check out the tire to see if I needed a new one. They were honest and the guy that came out to talk to me said he did t see anything wrong with it. It’s been fine ever since. They could’ve sold me a new tire when I didn’t need one but they were honest! Great experience overall!

These guys are fantastic! Very professional and accommodating. Traveling from Augusta to Hartford, we had a problem. We stopped in and they took us immediately, found the problem, and got us underway within 30 minutes. Roy, our mechanic spent the time to explain the problem and fixed it quickly. I had got a front end alignment a month earlier and my front end was still had a shake in it so I went back thinking that my friend in alignment wasnt done correctly. Upon further investigation the mechanic told me that my wheels needing balance. I have purchased tires 6 months previous and they were installed incorrectly the mechanic at VIP correct the problem my balancing my tires and Im grateful and good looking out good job

After standing at the counter and being actively ignored for 10 minutes (the guy glanced over at me multiple times but made no attempt to at least acknowledge my presence while standing there in silence), I politely waved and asked the heavy set tattooed hipster-haired registrar to try to get some service. He rolled his eyes, put the phone on hold and very dismissively asked : “ Um, can i do something for you?”I wanted to say “I mean, I’m standing here…” I understand people have bad days but that was atrocious service. Instead, I said “no, not anymore, thank you.”I have spent over 5k at this location in the last few years and the only redeeming factor was the old manager making sure we got good service. He’s gone now so to heck with this place.

Not only would I recommend this place to my friends and family, I would insist on it, a young man there (Brendan) saved my life this week by spotting a serious safety issue! thank god (and Brendan) and now I’m back on the road again! I have been coming to this VIP for about 3 years now. They are always fair and friendly. They explain whats going on with your car very well and even take you out to the garage to show you whats going on. Love this place

I purchased a new set of tires as well as an oil change and service was speedy and friendly, the techs even dropped $15 off per tire and threw in a few other small discounts when I learned I needed an alignment. On my second visit for an oil change and a look over the tech discovered that my shock mounts were broken and my shocks were past their prime. I gave the go ahead to replace both the shocks and the mounts and low and behold those parts are very hard to find! After the manager Dennis called over 10 places hunting down the parts, he found them and got me an appointment as soon as he would have them. I got a brief walkthrough of my car in the shop and hearing a professional technicians opinion of the current state of my vehicle or even just hearing how dark the oil comes out is invaluable and I look forward to it each time I come back to VIP. After a year in Portland shopping around for a quality shop I am a convert and will take my car back to VIP from here on out.

The staff at this location are amazing. I went to get my winter tires put on, and Karen was wonderful. She was honest with me about the life of my tires, and even marked which tire should be installed where to get me the best traction on the ice and snow. I always get reliable service here, and they never try to upsell me or trick me into paying for things I dont need. They even told me that I did not need another alignment when I requested one, saving me quite a bit of money! For the trustworthiness factor alone, they get 5 stars from me. I go to them for all of my routine maintenance.

Had a fantastic experience at the VIP. I woke up with a dead battery and was afraid no one would be able to replace it same day. I called the VIP in Westbrook and they offered to squeeze me in! They were quick, efficient, and very friendly. I sat comfortably in the waiting area and had a new battery in no time! Thanks VIP!

OmgWhat a life saver these people are! Yesterday, I could have lost my engine in my car; I had gotten an oil change two weeks ago at another location, and apparently they forgot to screw a cap back on? (Im terrible with cars) my engine light came on, and I had to pull over immediately. It was five minutes before their closing time. I called this location because it was right around the corner from where I was pulled over, and they were nice enough to not only talk to me on the phone, but even though they were close to closing they said to come on over. Not only did they explain to me what happened and did not make me feel rushed, but they filled my car with more oil and put a new cap on! (Didnt charge me either!) They were shocked that I even made it there to begin with, because my car had run out of oil entirely. Cant say Im happy with the Windham location right now because of their negligence; I could have had a serious problem ...but thanks to Portland my car is fine now!! A million thanks!

I went in for a state inspection and was hit with $1,200.00 bill. I was told I had an oil leak, two lights out and needed my tires and tie rods replaced. Turns out all I actually needed were tires and an alignment. Sincerely disappointed to learn they wanted me to get unnecessary repairs.

This place saved me on a Sunday when I had a screw in my tire and needed a patch. They were the only place open and they got us in and out in 15 minutes for next to no money, and were so nice on top of that. I showed up for my tires to be changed out today and it seems the wrong tires arrived. They made the effort to go to their supplier and get the correct size tire for my car. In the meantime they did an oil change! Now I don’t have to go out to the dealership afterwards for an oil change. The people I’ve spoken with over the phone have been super helpful and knowledgeable too. My car will be very happy after today.

Seemed like they just wanted my money. The guy said the brakes and the clutch were bad but when I got in the car he left it in third gear so it stalled immediately which made me question his knowledge about manual vehicles, also in one breath he told me all the repairs I needed and then the next breath he said all you have to do is an oil change in the car every 3000 miles in order for it to keep running, questionable mechanic

It was so satisfying after I thought Id have a flat after going through a td Atm in Gorham, maine .I heard a long Echoing of sounded to me like I popped tire. NOW THIS WAS 10 MIN.OF Closeling .I dont have a spare cause there so expensive ihave a 255 55 R18 gmc. I JUST priced meat rkq and the rim is over 100.00 out inCa. These guys are awesome! I brought my mothers 2007 focus in for service and they quickly diagnosed and repaired all the issues I have. Staff very helpful and friendly. If your looking for a repair service for your vehicle or just maintenance they are customer focused and safe. Free coffee too! Need some help with their WiFi though. Not usable. They are fair and give you industry standard quotes and prices for anything car related. Above and beyond for customer service! No question is dumb to them. Definitely a repeat customer! One new add on. If possible purchase their discount book. $200 for a buy3get1 free on tires, a few inspection coupons, and many more coupons for rotations, alignments and such. This is a definite buy yearly. I purchased one for myself and one for a Christmas gift. Just the tire coupon and oil change coupon pays for the initial cost.

Came in to get a tire replaced. The guy at the front desk wouldnt even give me the time of day. His exact words, I dont have anyone here. Theyre all at lunch. And when they come back they all have work. I understand yall may be busy but that doesnt excuse being rude and dismissive.

Had an oil change, tire rotation and a new back windshield wiper which was installed free of charge. Very satisfied with the service and would recommend going to VIP in Westbrook.

Straightforward experience. Friendly employees. A service tech took me to the garage to show me the cause of my cars clunking. The replacement price was competitive. I like the window to see what is happening in the garage from the waiting room. Service was quick.

Had to deal with declining all of their up-sells, pretty par for the course, and they took it graciously.*BUT* I almost had one of my wheels fall off 50 miles later because they didnt tighten the lug nuts properly! No matter how good the service and price is, safety comes first!!!

I took my car in for service at VIP located at 35 Riverside st in Portland, located close to the Westbrook exit of the turnpike on May 18. I have been a customer with VIP for over 10 years, however, this was my first visit to this location. Matt Brown and the whole VIP team were very courteous, well informed, helpful and they got the work done in a timely fashion. When something else was noticed that should be corrected they answered all of my questions. There was no pressure to get it done immediately. My options were explained by Brian, who was doing the actual work.Matt went through the work that would be done, prior to starting. Matt applied any credits, rewards, and military discounts so that I knew what it would cost before they started to do the work.This visit could not have gone any better. I would rate Matt and his team six stars out of five. Why? Because they did not hesitate to go out of their way. For all the little things that they do. Great job?

Brought my Nissan in for a full diagnostics. The original sensors that popped codes at the Biddeford location apparently did not show up after they ran a full diagnostics. Flat tire, always at the most inconvenient times! Stopped into VIP on a whim after being told by my regular shop that they couldnt see me for 5 days to replace the spare with a new tire. Matthew looked at the old tire right away and we found a big piece of metal. The treads on my back tires were quite worn so I ordered 2 tires to match the front tires. They came in the next day, so I was able to stop by on my way home from work. I waited a while before they were able to take me, but I expect that at 4:00 in the afternoon. VIP put on the new tires and I was on my way :) . I will go to VIP for auto service in the future, I find the stop in very convenient. The staff were all very respectful, friendly and professional.

Richard and the folks at VIP were awesome today!! I ran in at the last minute on a Sunday- they are the only tire repair shop open on Sundays- and they repaired a tire on my daughters car and swapped out some wipers all fitting me in between other appointments. The were nice and fast and did a great job- all on Super Bowl Sunday!! Fabulous and thanks to Richard and the crew!!

VIP on riverside has been extremely helpful, accommodating, and efficient. Originally, I needed an inspection and had to reschedule my appointment to which they were super flexible. After the inspection, I was informed that it didn’t pass and I needed some repairs. Brian Haskell was able to offer on the spot options and help me to resolve everything that day. Brandon was also able to explain in detail any questions I had in a way that I could understand it.After a few days, I noticed some other minor issues such as a weird smell. I called VIP and the entire team was very kind and let me stop by to double check everything. Matt (?) went for a test drive with me and him and Brian further investigated and went out of their way for me. They found a nest in the carbon air filter and promptly fixed the issues.Overall, highly recommended.

Just bought some new wipers to put on my Subaru Legacy. I was going to install them myself but I was met outside by a very friendly employee named Moe who asked me if I wanted him to install them for me. I agreed and he installed them a lot faster than I could. He didnt have to stop and ask but he did. 5 stars and give Moe a raise.

If you have nice after market rims go elsewhere. Staff was nice but now my 550.00 rim has a a chunk out of the side from the bar used to take the tire off . They should had used a sleave on it . I use to be a tire technician as well so I know what was the cause . Was offed a alignment service. When all I wanted was the paint for the rim . Which was agreed upon. But Never happened. One lost customer.
