I was a fish out of water here but I know the crafty, creative members of my family love JOANN. I needed to figure out a way to get N95 masks to fit my giant head without strangling my brain. The staff was helpful and patient even though it was obvious I was clueless. They hooked me up with everything I needed and showed me how I could make my masks able to be tied.

I was looking for Latch Hook kits,but was told they dont carry them anymore which was a little disappointing.

Just found digital printed fabric in customization Not bad looks and feels like fabric, design only on one side, but other than that its the right pattern for my place. Great job Joanns. --Still trying to match my interior paint color to a custom fabric..And there are so many beautiful patterns that can be customized by changing the colors and placement and size to fit any home.. The customization section should have a video on what a shopper can do with custom dyed fabrics. They can match ANY color or even scan a fabric design if you have a favorite pattern!

Well we needed some things to spruce up our KARAOKE room. We found it all and more while there. Also the lady at the register was kind and personable.

I mean, its joanns. underwhelming selection of fabric, customers without masks pushing past you to get to the disney branded polar fleece, weird men who will hit on you while you try and tell the employee at the cutting counter what you want. the clearance shelf in the back is an unorganized enigma. rancid vibes. the only reason i go here is because zfabrics doesnt carry apparel fabric. i shop here out of necessity, not loyalty and i dont like it.three stars solely because the employees are rad as hell and super nice and helpful about everything. pay them more.

Great vatiety and good sales and coupons. Could be a line sometimes at the fabric cutting area so plan on a wait and be pleasantly surprised if theres no line. Some items are overpriced in my opinion, like some tools.. But for the variety of common textile items and some crafting categories - cant beat it locally. One observation - an entire aisle of beads on strings. Who is buying all these beads?! 😜

The manager, and rest of the employees, are always friendly and helpful. They know how to meet the needs of various types of customers. Only thing that would make it better is someone in there who knew more about crocheting and knitting.

Went in to get 3 separate pieces of material from the same bolt, but the clerk says company policy says they can only cut 1 piece from a bolt. PHOOEY on Joannes!!! The clerk then, with a slight attitude, proceeded to cut my 2 other pieces. Cheers to the clerk for not following such a STUPID POLICY!!!

Found what I needed but very pricey. Wish I had planned better and ordered online - would have paid half of what I ended up with. But in a pinch I did get everything I needed in one stop.

I went to the Brighton Ave store in Portland yesterday. There was a slight line to get in, with the COVID restrictions, but it moved along fairly quickly. The staff was amazing! They were so helpful, friendly and attentive. I can imagine that showing up to work in a public environment right now is challenging, and I really appreciated how kind, patient and helpful the staff was. Thank you!

Stock was low or out for many things I was searching for. They do have plenty of fabrics and yarns though. Worth a trip back in the future

The fabric selection is...well, everything youd need for a Disney princess or Comi-con. If its gaudy, shiny, sparkly, or stiff, Joanns has it. Garment quality fabric is very rare. There are a lot of home decorating fabrics, and plenty of zippers, thread, and trim. and weirdly, when I couldnt get quilted lining from my regular supplier, Joanns had it.Last pair of pants I made from Joanns fabric pilled so much by the fourth wearing they were too unsightly to wear again. Very few people sew clothing any more, so I guess the company is catering to the craft / home decorating crowd.

Large variety of quilting quality fabrics organized by broad themes - bravo! Sale bolts stacked but viewable and value of color dots clearly marked. Bought only 1/4 yards of 8 fabrics and clerk was patient and thorough. Thanks for tip on e-receipt for tracking fabrics number!

Site is always clean, however I always get overcharged for products ie they ring up more than I have. But staff is nice and accommodating every time this happens!

Today was a very busy day in the store, however, we were helped by a wonderfully nice lady named Mary Ann. She scoured the store to find the sewing machine we wanted, found us the perfect thread, and material as well. Most people do not help in customer service positions but she went out of her way to ensure we were satisfied. Thank you Mary Ann!

Lord have mercy, where do I start with this store? We moved from Westbrook where the Joann Fabrics was GREAT. This one? Not so much. For one, their stock. It looks like the place is going out business (if they are to be judged by their yarn selection) tragic.Two, where are your people? They seem woefully understaffed here. I do just about anything to NOT shop at this location.Ive been very successful in this regard.

Theyre curbside isnt worth the wait. 3 days to get 3 balls of yarn. Dont want to suggest going to the store when curbside is an option but other store have figured out how to get faster curbside service yet joann hasnt yet.

Stopped in on my way to Northern Maine to get quilting supplies...BEST JOANNS STORE EVER!!!! Staff was very helpful and the store was incredibly well managed! Compared to what I experience in Massachusetts this store is so much nicer!

Dont order online, they are 3 weeks behind schedule, and refuse to cancel your order in store. Long and unsafe line when paying. I wonder who the manager is, but the whole organisation is completely outdated.

I love all the supplies they have. Wish it was a little cheaper though. Even stuff on sale is still so high. Got beautiful fabric for a dress! Bathroom though, eeewwww disgusting!!! Needs to be cleaned and updated. For a craft store would think bathroom would be so nice like something out of a magazine but instead the local gas stations is cleaner and nicer looking. Sad.

My very favorite store of all time. My granddaughter and I spent about 3 hours shopping at Joanns 4 pieces and parts to different projects. Theres always an abundance of coupons sales and savings to go around. All the staff is very knowledgeable on product and different crafts. The variety is great and the prices are fair.

Disappointing! My wife needed buttons for a project and found they now have only a small selection of buttons, a fraction of what the used to have. They should drop Fabrics from the title, as they are more interested in crafts than selling quality sewing supplies!

This place has lots of colored string. Colored string and ribbons and things for making clothes. It also had other things that were not strings...My wife just shouted at me for writing this review and says, theyre called thread bobbins, Jon!Well, wife, thats what you get for dragging me in to find you thread.

The worst Jo-Ann in the state of Maine. I run an Etsy shop where people are able to custom pick the fabrics they want me to sew that are available at the store and I stop by once or twice a week and easily spend over $500 purchasing fabric for my customers. I went to this Jo-Ann because the one in topsham didn’t have some of the fabric I needed, and I wish I had just ordered online instead. When I went to the fabric counter to get my fabric cut the lady working (Renee) looked at me like I was crazy and told me to grab a number even though there was nobody else in line. When I get my fabric cut often times multiple customers will want the same print, so I have whoever is cutting the fabric make different cuts for me so I don’t have to waste my time measuring it out and doing it myself. Renee told me that she isn’t able to cut fabric into multiple pieces (every other Jo-Ann I have ever been to has no problem doing it). While I was handing her the fabrics to tell her how much I needed I was looking at my phone because I obviously didn’t remember how much of each fabric I needed, and she looked at me and yelled “UHHH WHAT ARE YOU EVEN LOOKING AT HAHAHA” and I told her that I’m trying to add up the amounts I need in my head since she is apparently incapable of cutting fabric into separate amounts. When somebody else got behind me in line she looked at them and said “sorry this is gonna take forever” and she called somebody else up to the fabric counter. When she was all done cutting my fabric she told me that next time i shouldn’t buy so much fabric, because now she has to waste the rest of her day putting it back on the shelf. I don’t get why she would be so angry when I’m literally spending over $500 at the store but okay. Never going to this Jo-Ann again, this employee has zero work ethic and won’t make a simple adjustment for a customer which would take less than 1 minute.

This is a one-stop shop to have all at one place. Crafts for all.
