I was visiting from Philadelphia and needed a haircut for a wedding the next week. I saw the hundreds of 5 star reviews on Yelp and google and decided to give it a shot. It is no hyperbole when I state that this is the best haircut I have ever had. Michael’s attention to detail is unparalleled. Truly an amazing fade, that meets it end at a flawless straight edge shave. The top of my hair is left long and I’ve struggled with making it look contiguous from different angles. Michael made a cohesive look from any angle my hair is observed. I’m sincerely blown away.

I have been coming here for a better part of a year and Oscar has always given great cuts. The staff is very professional and friendly, and gives great recommendations.

Edit: I had a less than perfect haircut but was almost immediately followed-up with an exceptionally thoughtful voicemail from the owner himself offering to make it right and fully refund the cut. Miscommunications happen, and sometimes a less-than-perfect haircut is unavoidable. But what is within a business control is how they respond to a clients concerns and feedback. In this case, great management is on display and Im confident that Metroman will ensure you feel taken care of.

This place is great. I have been coming here for years at this point and always get an excellent cut. I used to go the Pearl location but go to the newer one now as its closer.

I’ve been going here for haircuts since about the time they opened 3-4 years ago. The quality has never changed and neither has the experience, and it’s been great watching them expand from 1 owner by himself to having 4 now. They may not be in a fancy space with vintage barber gear but they will give you a great haircut or shave. Fair warning: this place is far more expensive than Great Clips but you’re paying for someone who is basically a craftsman with hair.

Its rare that any establishment in google or other review sites gets a perfect rating after more than 10 reviews. Metro man does and after my 1st visit I now know why. I met the owner and had my haircut by Levi and it was the best haircut experience Ive ever had. This is a place where skill is matched by a willingness to listen to what the customer really wants. Communication is very clear and there are no gray areas between what I wanted and what the barber was about to do. This place is well worth the $30 dollar haircut.

Bro... these people🤦🏾‍♂️ Im so glad i went here honestly, they know what theyre doin for ALLLL types of hair. They communicate wonderfully and do theyre absolute best not tryna mess ur hair up... Best haircut and beard trim of my life!!!Couldnt be happier with my experience with Jason. He listened to everything I had to say, actually asked questions to fully understand what I wanted. Every step along the way he checked back in to make sure everything was fine. He even let me face the mirror the entire cut which really tells me they have absolutely nothing to hide and take pride in making YOUR experience special. I went in to see this so called master barber with a large mess of hair and an earnest desire to receive some education on how to care for it. What proceeded can only charitably be described as butchery. I went from loving my hair to being constantly embarrassed about it. I feel like a deliberate practical joke was played on me because of my perceived appearance.I may have been ignorant about my own hair at the time, but I have (in the couple of months since my haircut) put some dedicated effort towards self education. I cant imagine a worse effort? Arbitrary asymmetries, a substantial limitation in styling choices, a complete lack of attending to my stated needs. When you catch the other present barber literally cringing at what was occurring, you know something is wrong.He gave me a shampoo/conditioning recommendation that I actually do like, so 2 stars.Addendum 15 hours later: The owner has engaged in a campaign of harassment in an effort to change my review score. No less than 10 phone calls and an email so far. If youve ever wondered how a such a high rating is maintained, there you go. It is my honest opinion and inducements after the fact do not change it.

Walked into this joint almost 3 years ago after leaving planet granite because I needed a haircut. Fast forward and I’ve come here every month since. Jason has given me a PERFECT haircut every time. Ive been to Jason three times now. Hes super personable, professional, and uses technology better than any other barber Ive ever been to. I cant say enough good things about Jason, not only as a stylist but as a person. Jason has an obvious talent for hair, and he instinctively knows the type of cut to best complement your facial features. Hes one of the only stylist Ive gone to for a first time visit, who actually nailed the look I wanted without requiring multiple visits of trial and error. Outside of his ability as a stylist, Jason is extremely professional, courteous and friendly. I wanted to move away from the mediocre cuts I was getting at the usual chains and picked this spot after reading the reviews; I made the right choice.Jason has that suave type of vibe and thats the type of person you want cutting your hair because I believe the personality of the hair stylist shows in their work. Theres something about his cuts that differ from the others Ive been to. When my hair grows out, its still easy to style and it still looks well kept after 8 weeks; my hair just falls into place. Jason Rostami is the most professional and skilled barber/stylist I have ever been to. He is a Master Barber to say the very least. I came across the Metroman Hair Salon and Jason over a year ago back when I lived in Portland, I now live in Vancouver WA (across the river) and continue to make the drive to Jason when I am in need of a fresh cut! (45min drive for me now) even though there are much closer options. If that doesnt tell you how good of a place/stylist Jason is....Im not sure what will. I get offered a drink ever time I come in at no charge. Jason listens to what you want done and gets to know you personally to really understand what type of cut you are looking for. Also takes notes to remember what you liked/didnt like for the next time you come in. If you are looking for a new place to get a haircut, look no further.

I have been a regular with Jason now for about 2 years [read my yelp review about how my girlfriend stopped stabbing me]. Every time he is attentive and obsessively meticulous to make sure that there are no stray untrimmed hairs when he does his final styling. I get so many compliments now and girls hitting on me it is out of control. The other day my girlfriend attacked two ladies who kept winking in my direction and got us thrown out of Dorsia... I had to do a lot of things to get a reservation there! Now I am back to getting stabbed because my hair is too attractive.
