Great staff. Since our brew shop closed in Bend, the crew here has been extremely helpful and they prep my order so I can pick up right away on my way home. They always have everything I need with no substitutions. Highly recommend buying brew supplies here.

Great combo of beer and everything needed to make it! Helpful staff to build a recipe and then fill the bill. Came in planning to make a Scotish ale but once I tasted Unicorn’s Cranberry Winter Ale (6.5ABV) I knew that would be next up in my own mash tun. Also, covered outside seating is key for winter in Portland.

Been here multiple times, and have had excellent help in the retail side from knowledgeable staff ( I make mead).And friendly service in the pub .Great beers usually 6-8 on tap definitely a Nano brewery..

Helpful and friendly. Helped me put together a 1 gallon batch kit and got the needed supplies for making an ESB. Also having an attached brew pub is very nice as well.

Great service, great supplies. Brewing your own alcohol is a pandemic necessity. If only to sneak out an visit other humans, you can go from bread to liquor in a few steps.Visit, support, and drink.

If you are looking to do something different. Or, you looking for a gift for someone. I would advise you to go down and take a look. I believe this is one of the most unique gift ideas you could give someone who has a palate.Between the brew teams that have joined me here, I have personally brewed 78 kegs. Each and everyone of them have been amazing. Even the ones that should have been messed-up.My advise for anyone doing the U-Brew University,1. Plan on spending 4.5-5 hours.2. Wear something comfortable that breaths. (Closed toed shoes only)3. Be ready to work. It is U-Brew, not someone else brewing for you. 😂 😂 Lol4. You know yourself best. I plan on having someone pick me up afterwards.5. Be ready to plan another creation.6. Have a blast.Cheers...

Absolutely love Ubrew for my Brewing ingredients, Zack and Darren always take time to answer questions. Next, we walk next door and grab a pint of beer from Liz at Unicorn brewing. The smell of brewing beer is in the air and it’s delightful. Service is top notch.

Had a great time here last weekend. Both Zach and Darren were super helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to create a beer recipe and engage in the brewing process while having long enough breaks to get beer and food. Thanks so much, well be back!

Great new owner. Pub has been remodeled and is much more comfortable with booths. Kid friendly until 6pm which is nice for weekends. Beer selection of their own brews is varied and continuously changing. Owner and bar tenders are great people. Home brew shop meets all my needs for even exotic recipes and my kids soda making “enterprise”.

P.U.B. I love these guys. Every time I go in there they are cheerful and informative. Everyone that works there very knowledgeable and I always run into fellow home brewers there. They have events and classes all the time. If I didnt live across town Id be pestering them every day! I brewed a keg of my own brew, picked out my own recipe with Aaron and brewed it up with Jason down stairs. A month later Cliff served it from the tap (they showed me how to bottle 3 cases)! What a great experience, who knew I could make such great beer! Thanks Portland U-Brew! They just recently expanded their operation too!

Excellent staff and experience. Joe was able to custom create a recipe for me with my taste in mind and helped me all the way. Amazing knowledge and friendly. I have been driving past this place for years. I have found my new spot for home brewing !!

We just finished doing a group brew lesson and really learned a lot. The atmosphere is very casual and its like going over a good friends house. Great place to buy brewing supplies and they never try to push you to buy something just to sell a product. They love what they do and are open and friendly about giving you any advise you ask for. Wish I lived closer so I could make this my local hang. Well be back to do a large brew for ourselves and our business.

Im sure its great to learn how to brew here... but I was visiting Portland for a beer expedition. Over 30 brewpubs and these guys were the unique ones. Delicious 5 star beers all around. Thank you!

This place is great! All the beer and wine supplies you could ever need, plus a friendly, comfortable neighborhood pub all in one. Their beer is fantastic too.

Nice neighborhood place. The unicorn juice was very refreshing. Ill be going back with family and friends soon.

Overpriced waste of time

Great place to go if you want to start brewing your own beer at home. You can also use their awesome brewery downstairs. Maybe you even want to go grab lunch at the Pub? (it is good)...

I love the new UNICORN brewery!! And the idea to sign up for a class to brew your own beer and bring friends! I am clebrating my birthday that way!! :)

Absolutely amazing! I thought I was knowledgeable, but was schooled by Ari, Zac, and the crew here! I went high expectations, and was blown away! Craft beer at its absolute FUNEST! THANKS FOR A GREAT TIME GUYS!

So great to watch them grow and do well in the neighborhood. Had them craft some beers for our wedding a couple years ago. They are super helpful and know their stuff.

I was just walking by and saw the brewpub and stopped in for a beer, not really knowing the place. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful, and informed me about their homebrew shop and were happy to give me their time to give me the basics of homebrewing and said they would absolutely help me get started if I came back when I had more time. Super friendly and informative.Also, the Unicorn Brown Ale was awesome, smooth and dark but not too heavy.Thanks guys!

Great selection of brewing gear and supplies and delicious beer brewed on site! Its also a great place to bring family or a work group to brew a keg or three for a party!

Amazing, enthusiastic, service!!! Good beer!!!I love their Milk Stout!! The only downside is no food.

Evan was very rude. We booked an appointment to brew. I asked if beer would be kegged and ready in 21 days. Was told yes. Today, different story. Was told that would not be a possibility. Then, Evan decided to get a bad attitude towards us since we decided to leave. Also felt the need to criticize our recipe the entire time. Not your beer, not your problem. Cliff was nice and apologetic, but we wont be back.

Zack and Ari are terrific. Our club (Al Keggers Brew Club ...Tap Room #6 from the Shriners Temple in Wilsonville) has has taken advantage of their tutelage and amazing facility several times. Every experience has proven even better than the one prexeeding it.

Jason and his staff are awesome! They gave a beginners class to my volunteers when we planned Zoo Brew a couple years ago, and I always try to make it down there in April to support their Autism Sucks night (where they brew a special batch and donate the proceeds to a friends team that participates in the yearly Autism Speaks fundraiser)... It is most fun when I get to play the life-size Jenga with my friends son, who has autism, but either way, its nice to support the team with beer! I havent started brewing at home, like I keep saying I will, but when I finally get the time to do that, I will be going to P.U.B. to get started on the right track! And if I had known that they can bottle what you brew when I was planning my wedding 10 years ago, that would have been the coolest gift for guests, hands down.... I highly recommend this place. And not just because they regularly work bacon into beers!

Excellent beer, Excellent people. The beers on tap are some of the best in Portland and I strongly suggest you get in and brew your own batch, tons of fun and your own great beer in the end.

Cliff and Jay are great guys and I love how you can drink beer while making beer and there isnt any cleanup like doing it in your house!

Parking sucks but it beats F.H. Steinbarts every day of the week in terms of service.*Update -They dont have consistent parts - I bought a carboy and carboy handle there - 6.5 gallon for both - the 6.5 gallon carboy that I bought looks exactly like a 6 gallon, aside from a difference in measurements of less than an inch in diameter and height - and the handle doesnt fit as its made for the smooth sided 6.5 & 7 gallon carboys.TL;DR - inspect everything before you leave, and make sure to get and keep the receipt!
