Had an amazing experience with the front of house and with the sales associate Nate. He helped us out with all of the questions we had on boots, bindings and boards. Nate suggested a great pair of bindings to pair with the new board I was getting. He also took my wife through a great boot fitting process where they tried various boots and inserts as well. He demonstrated a depth of knowledge that was very appreciated. He handled a busy Saturday like a pro making sure to check in with customers that had any questions and get them on the wait list while also making sure we were fully taken care of. Great service and would recommend anyone stop in and have Nate help them out.

I visited Evo today on hopes of finding waterproof/ resistant womens mountain bike pants. There were none that I found in stock. Brandon that works in snowboarding assisted me in looking up products that might work. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to help me. He assisted me with ordering some to pick up. He shared some of his favorite spots to adventure and is a great asset to your staff. I always have a great experience here.

Worked with Nate in the snowboard department. We worked on packing out and heat molding my current boots. He was knowledgeable, patient, and had great friendly attitude throughout the visit. He truly made it enjoyable experience, and even got me to get a new Orca without being pushy at all.

Like an REI with a perfectly carved and polished live edge branch lodged in its rectum. Dont go expecting to shop without an appointment. Be prepared to explain why you are there prior to advancing to the showroom. That is after you attempt to enter the building through several entrances that are locked and include no instructions as to how to enter the building. Id like to say something nice but I truly left feeling as though they didnt want the cash burning a hole in my pocket.

Really knowledgable and friendly one on one consultation to get a new snowboard setup that was entirely customized to me. Very helpful in picking the right gear for how I want to ride and how much I wanted to spend. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to make sure they are going to get the right gear for them.

Went in to look for a wetsuit. Not as much variety as a surf shop but still had a good size inventory. Guy who helped me out was friendly and chill. While I didnt end up buying a wetsuit (didnt want to commit to a big purchase yet), I bought a leash and wax instead. Wasnt pressured into buying anything but he was very thorough in explaining the logistics of a wetsuit.

First timer here - We had a Whole set up appointment and it was excellent! Great staff, we had David assigned to our appointment and we were really pleased with the experience. David was so nice & patient, we tried so many things & had lots of questions and he always gave us time to reflect and we never felt pushed to decide on anything. Evo has some amazing and knowledgeable employees. They were awesome helping me get fitted into some snowboard boots. I bought my new Jones dream catcher there as well. Before you go to buy a board/ski or other equipment/getting fitted, they are doing it only by appointment right now so be aware and make an appointment on their website.

Its been a while since I last bought a full ski equipment setup. I actually ordered skis and bindings from Evo online at the recommendation of a friend. Then, when they came I took them down to Evo in Portland (first time I had been there, and wow what a cool place!) to have them set up and to look at boot options. I was paired up with Kaitlyn and she was *amazing* as was *everyone* else working there including Mackenzie and Jack. She answered all my questions, made some recommendations about what to try, took my arthritic feet needs and ridiculously high arches into account, selected a few boots that they picked out due to my specific needs, and in the end I ended up with custom molded foot beds, boot liners heat-molded to my feet, and a punched-our boot shell in one spot on my right foot. Results? I can tell you, I have never been this comfortable putting and tightening up on ski boots! My experience at Evo was incredible, the people are just terrific and clearly love what they do - and its infectious. I cant wait to hit the slopes with the new equipment, and thanks to the Evo team for making it a great experience getting ready! Some businesses just feel good to go to - this is one of them. Its way worth your time to check this place out!

Just moved to Portland and decided to get some gear for skiing. It had been a while since I had skied so I wasn’t exactly sure what I needed, but Steve was great at listening to what I was interested in doing and excellent at giving advice. He also did a brilliant boot fitting and everything felt perfect on day one. The rest of the employees at the shop were also very helpful and kind! So happy to have a place like this - thanks!!

Incredible service. I went in thinking I had to get a new pair of touring boots. Instead, I was Assisted with new foot beds and a custom fit for my shell and liner. Way more cost effective! Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and was being helped out 1:1 within the hour. Kaytlin is the best backcountry help! Decided to get into backcountry this season and luckily got paired up with Kaytlin to assist me with boots and bindings (already had the skis). She’s incredibly knowledgeable, fun to talk shop with, and thankfully patient. I got THE BEST boots for my feet and needs after trying on 5(?) pair. She even helped me find the perfect binding which unfortunately wasn’t at Evo, but can’t fault her honesty and that goes a long way for future Evo purchases! Thanks!

The bike mechanics are Evo are kind, communicative and skillful. Special shout out to David in particular was great to work with. I much prefer to go to Evo (even though they are a larger chain store) than some of the smaller bike shops in town where Ive been treated rudely. They also carry a good variety of bike accessory products, including womens clothing and mountain bike shoes.

Phenomenal customer service! Im an experienced backcountry and alpine skier...Im also middle aged and went into the store looking for an in resort ski setup and Bailey helped me out and was amazing throughout the whole experience!! These days I kind of expect to be written off by young gear store staff :-) but Bailey listened to what I was looking for and hooked me up with exactly what I needed! The skis had to be ordered bc my size wasnt on the floor, but when he saw online that REI was selling them for less, he marked them down for me and then some. Always being a bit skeptical about rave reviews of gear from store staff, I checked out ski mag and other reviews of the skis Id just bought and wow, everybody LOVES these skis for exactly what I plan to use them for. I so appreciate great reliable advice like that. When it turned out the bindings Id chosen werent going to work out, Bailey took the trouble to call me and walk me through recommending another pair, ordered them while I was on the phone with him. When I went to pick the skis up after getting an email that they were ready, turned out they werent and there was some confusion about whether the skis had even come into the store yet. But Nate took care of me, found the skis (not yet mounted), was totally apologetic and offered me a free ski hot wax to make it up to me. My daughter ski races so Evo just got two forever loyal customers! Thanks, guys!!

This is my second (major) ski purchase from evo. I liked everything about the experience -- great selections, good prices and excellent service and support. I highly recommend checking evo out before your next recreational purchase.

I purchased some ski gloves from evo.com for myself and my daughter, and didnt realize that evo had a brick-and-mortar location in Portland. When it came time to replace my MTB helmet, evo had the brands I was considering, and the prices were competitive. My in-store experience was great, the person helping me in the bike department made sure I got to try on everything I wanted, and gave good feedback on the product. In the end, I was able to go with a more affordable choice, that still hit all of my wants, thanks to being able to see it in the store, and try it on.

Sam was absolutely amazing at assisting me in experimenting with demos so that I could find the best new ski to purchase. She listened attentively to my reviews of each demo I tried, asked me relevant questions, and was SO helpful in narrowing the options. Once I decided what I wanted, she took care of my order promptly. I really recommend Sam - what a great experience!

I needed service for my mountain bike, and the shop I normally use could not complete the work in the time frame I needed it done. EVO staff worked my bike in, diagnosed the issue, and held it for me until I got back in town. Exceptional service and accommodation. Next time I will call EVO first.

I haven’t purchased any new snowboarding gear in ~12 years so I came in to Evo essentially asking for a full blown lesson on snowboards/bindings/boots. Tyler came up and patiently took the time to explain everything to me and answer any questions I had literally for hours. Came out a snowboard/binding/boot expert with a full kit ready for the season. Can’t recommend Evo enough if you’re in the market for anything outdoor gear related - and make sure you ask for Tyler when you go in!

This place was great first time we went. Waited maybe 10 minutes and guy who helped us was great! This time not so much! Waited 1:30 and didnt have my husbands size in snowboard boots. We tried to call in advance to ensure they had correct sizes. No answer, after several attempts! What a waste of our time! Guy who helped us was kind and did try his best. So ANSWER YOUR PHONES!!! AND STOP WASTING PEOPLES TIME!!!

I stopped in for snowboard boot fitting today and was super impressed with how efficient the guy was who helped me. I felt like he really listened to my feedback and took that into account with the next pair of boots he had me try. I didn’t catch his name, but shout out to the guy with the long blond hair! I ended up ordering online because the color I wanted wasn’t in stock but I got free shipping. No complaints here!

Ive shopped online and at the Portland location. All experiences have been great. The staff is super friendly and the customer service is very helpful over the phone. I recently bought skis from the EVO warehouse and wanted to drop off my skis to have bindings mounted at the Portland store. Even though the website says they encourage making an appointment for services... walk-up shopping is available, simply check in with one of our hosts. They wouldnt let me in the store to select the bindings to be mounted and told me to make an appointment. After driving 25 miles in to PDX, I wasnt going to drive back, so I walked down to Next Adventure who gladly helped me with great service. Thanks Next Adventure!

Brandon was extremely helpful getting us skis, boots and complete outfits so we are 100% ready for our ski/snowboarding trip next week! If you are looking for anything “outdoors” or for your trip to a mountain EVO is definitely the place to go! 100% recommend.

Jeremy was extremely helpful when installing my bindings to my snowboard. Not only did he do a great install, but he walked me through how to do it myself if I ever need to change something as well as gave me tons of tips for the mountain. Super great experience overall. Other staff was also very helpful when needing to look at/try on goggles.

I just bought skis and bindings from Evo Portland. Coltrane the salesperson convinced me to get the ON3P Jeffrey 108 skis with marker bindings. These are the most fun skis I have ever tried. I thought I would be too old for them because they’re freestyle skis and I’m 47. They are great all mountain skis, I took them in the trees, steeps, bumps, and terrain park. They turn like slalom race skis in the steep technical runs. In the terrain park they ride flat on lead up to jumps and on boxes. They are a little challenging to turn on groomed snow, but once you figure it out they hold an edge at speed.

Ive never received such excellent customer service before. I went in during a busy time and a young friendly blond gal was so kind and welcoming I felt right at home. I had a boot fitting done by Jeremy and he was beyond helpful. The guy spent so much time getting me dialed in. I was do impressed I bought a full setup. I left high on life. I was so extatic about my experience I brought by son down to have him fitted. Brandon helped us and he spent so much time making us feel comfortable and going to any length to make sure my son had every advantage in increasing his learning curve. Super friendly customer service. Ill never go anywhere else. Id give 10 stars if I could. Bless you guys!!

Went to buy snowboard boots and get my boards tuned, the salesman was kind and seemed knowledgeable in getting a good fit. I have no complaints about the buying process. However, getting my boards tuned was a major hassle. They never called or emailed to tell me when they were done, instead I had to sit on hold for 20 minutes to talk to a representative to ask a yes or no question so I could take the hour long trip into Portland to pick them up. Even though I called ahead I had to wait quite a while for the cashier to finish serving other patrons to pull the boards even though there were many other employees present and available. Upon receiving the boards, they both had a LARGE black scratch (about 12 inches long) on the bottom of the board. Unfortunately, I didnt see this until I had taken them home. The entire experience of the shop was disappointing, I would not recommend.EDIT:It is worth noting that after I wrote this, Evo reached out and rectified the situation by offering a refund for the tuning. It is good to know that if you have an issue they will do their best to fix it until you are happy.

Mixed review because our first visit was stellar. Someone was ready to mount my partners new bindings to his board even when he didn’t have all the right pieces, as soon as we arrived, and with less than an hour before close. Shout out to the woman who helped us do that. She was great.Second time, not so great. We arrived even earlier than we previously had, just to look at a board for myself. We were told that even though I didn’t need someone to help me pick out a board, that we HAVE to make an appointment for someone to walk around with us, and that no one was available to do that because they closed in a little over an hour. We browsed soft goods anyway, where I no joke saw probably 8 employees standing around doing nothing the entire time we were there. Wild.

I went here thinking this was a typical PDX bike shop. It isnt....its more small adrenaline boutiques under one roof. While the departments looked solid, I was here to drop one MTB off for a brake bleed, and purchase another great Devinci EVO specific build. The bike shop interaction was excellent. Work was performed spot on and more quickly than expected. Overall store vibe was chill yet engaged. I suggest checking it out. Just dont go expecting to fill al your cycling only needs.

I had a snowboard boot fitting appointment at evo in Portland and the employee helping me was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to find a boot that fit me perfectly. He recommended I order and ship a boot to the store that was a half size smaller and compare the two sizes so I was absolutely sure I got the right fit. I walked out with no regrets knowing that I had tried on many different sizes and brands and found the perfect pair for me.

Great Prices, shipped way faster then what it said. Other similar stores wouldnt even answer their phones but I got through to EVO portland right away. The lady on the phone was really helpful and even went to look for the item I was looking for to verify they had it in stock before I drove all the way down there. Defiantly shopping with them again.

Hands down the worst experience my family has encountered. As I approached the door to enter I was told I would be placed on a waiting list to get in (No big deal). He told me 10-15 minutes. As I approach with my family of 4 to sign up he stated if Im just shopping for myself my family would not be aloud in. He then changed it to 45 minute wait if I wanted to wait so they can get in as well but we might not make it because they close in 45 mins. He quickly blamed Covid but there was only one couple in the store at the time and two cars in the parking lot. I was then asked to go to another line to sign up on the list. At this time I was interrogated by the list holder (same guy) about why I am there, who am I shopping for, whats the reason, what size, how much I want to spend etc.... The young guy was extremely rude and short with my family and I. I will never go back and I recommend to stay clear of the store.Follow up: I was quickly contacted by Erin regarding my review. She was very appreciative of my review and took it very serious. She was able to put my family and I at ease regarding this incident. After going back and forth we were able to come up with an alternative regarding shopping. She went above and beyond with her amazing customer service. It was night and day. Thank you for taking your time and reaching out to me.

Absolutely love this company! Our son had a traumatic brain injury and he has to wear a helmet for 2 months. We wanted to get him a fancy looking one, so we ordered from another company. That helmet took 2 1/2 weeks :( When we got it, it was too small. We sent it back and did not want to wait 2 weeks. So we asked Evo what their shipping times were. The manager said he was going to OVERNIGHT the helmet and they did!!! He got it the next day. HE LOVES IT! He will be able to wear it snowboarding as well. Thank you for going the distance, the EXTRA mile!

Pretty poor service when simply asking to try on a pair of boots from the back. Brought back the wrong color, and then promptly left. Save yourself the headache and go to Next Adventure around the block instead.

I am thrilled about my boot buying experience this past week at evo! Dan was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with helping me find some awesome boots. I have been skiing since I was 3 and did not realize how long I’ve been skiing on poorly fitting boots. Dan took the time to educate me on how my boots should fit and why properly fitting boots are important. He was very patient as I tried on a few different pairs and was able to make a few tweaks to each boot to try and get a perfect fit. He was super knowledgeable about each specific boot: how they should fit, performance goals, ski style, etc. I ended up going with the Dalbello Panterra 95–heavenly on the foot and super cute. He hooked me up with the evoFit basic after I told him I have a low arch and was planning on swapping out the insoles for my favorite insoles.The techs were able to adjust my bindings for my new boots before I left so I was able to leave ready to ski! I cannot speak highly enough about the friendly staff I encountered while at the store and how helpful each person was from the front desk to checking out. Thank you!! I’m stoked to take my first run with my new boots!!

This place is awesome! I had heard good things about it and they were all true. My wife has calves all the guys covet, yet it has made fitting ski boots quite troublesome in the past. No more! Mackenzie was incredible, taking the time needed to select the right boot and then worked hard to make it fit like the proverbial glove! Very good pricing, but that was just a bonus to the people that work there. A great place. Well be back.

Kaytlin and Nic were absolutely amazing! That was by far the best customer service experience I ever had. Kaytlin spent almost three hours helping my boyfriend find the perfect fit for ski / mountaineering boots and had so much knowledge and insight. Nic helped me find downhill ski boots and took the time to shape the boot shell and the inside liner to make sure they were perfect. Both employees were highly knowledgeable about product and sport, and took a ton of time to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. I am blown away by the quality and caliber of Evo customer service.

I had a great experience getting some snowboarding gear at Evo Portland. Everyone was friendly and they have high quality gear. Brandon, Anthony and Sam were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the sport. I got the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever tried on (Ride Hera). I am so thankful they had me try them on. Great place to get high quality gear at a good price.

Last season I purchased skis and at bindings. The employees were awesome and so helpful. Service turn around was faster than expected and the whole experience made me happy.Fast forward one year later. The whole employee “crew” is way too cool for school. The crew was just hanging out behind the register, man I wanted to be chillin with them, but after twenty minutes of being ignored it was clear that I was not going to be included.Sad face, I finally got the attention of an employee by doing an artful interception as they left the counter.They were really helpful, but my love of evo had ended. I left empty handed. Went to a less cool shop and plunked down some cash for Gore-Tex.Update!I have been back about 8 times since. The staff is wonderful and go above and beyond expectations! I have purchased boots, skis, custom boot fitting and warranty work on bindings. They communicate with skill and grace, and are now my go to store for all things snow sports related.

I had a great experience. Made an appointment for a boot fitting and I was extremely impressed with the the support and the ability of the staff to identify the best boot for me.

I had a great experience working with an employee on finding me a good pair of boots, he was nice and awesome. He didn’t up-sell me and was patient. But waiting for this good service took me 2 hours and thirty minutes, it doesn’t out-way the good service. Also while waiting I noticed that the employees take their time with the customer and maybe spend more time then needed like having unnecessary conversations. All in all the service when you’re getting boot fitted is amazing but the wait for it doesn’t really justify the good service.

Bless their souls, they spent about three hours with us resizing my husbands boot size and trying on so many pairs. We were there for so long, multiple staff members kept offering us drinks. We finally went home with boots that he likes AND custom insoles. Thank you so much for the amazing service and patience! Jeremy is the MVP.

Ryan spent a lot of time explaining to me some of the differences with some new skis i was interested in. And he also spent even more time and effort getting me set up with some new boots. He had a great attitude even though he was very busy with multiple customers. I highly recommend evo. There was lots of inventory to choose from and all the staff including the ski techs were extremely helpful with my new boots and my old skis.
