I am so very pleased with the service and quality at Avanti. The shop is pristine and professional. I got a nasal piercing from them in January and they have taken great care of me. Ive been back twice; once to have my post changed (and then I bought new jewelry) and again to buy another stud and another change. The jewelry is lovely and I have had no problems with my piercing. I have really listened to their instructions and kept it clean and have not fiddled with it. This was a great decision for me and Im thankful that I connected with a business that takes such wonderful care of their clients.

Ordered some jewelry, got the wrong item. Took pictures and sent multiple emails. Called and left multiple voicemails. Heard nothing back. Its been 3 months. Thank goodness I made this purchase through my credit card and was able to dispute it. You think I would have learned through my purchase from them last year when all my body jewelry came DESTROYED but I thought it was a fluke and gave them a second chance.

They are the bestest. Went back after 4 years and thank goodness I was in the system. I needed a smaller post for my nose do to weight loss, so Tyler knew right away what size would be perfect and it was, Love it! Tyler Drake was so friendly and very helpful. He gave me lots of good information. They sell high quality (14k gold) jewelry and more. I recommend going here for buying all your body piercing jewelry and getting your piercings done.

1 Year ago I got my 1st nose ring at this place and the lady who did it was GREAT - 1 month ago I had an accident which caused me to have my nose ring ripped out - long story short it had been over a month and I didnt know how to put the ring in.Came to Avanti - $10 charge to assist and the guy there was super helpful and let me know the steps as he was piercing, at one point he let me know it was closed on one end so he needed to push it through which he asked me if I wanted it - Well of course to have my ring in I said Go for it he did it as quick as he could and correctly put my ring on. It looks real good.Will be coming back.

I ordered jewelry from this company in April and I still have yet to receive it, and now the company is ignoring all my emails, phone calls etc. Everything. This is disgusting in professionalism and I am now out $200 because I can’t even get someone on the phone or email to give me a refund.

Ive been here three times now to manage a new lip piercing and they are awesome. Everyone that works here that I have interacted with has been helpful, patient, understanding and knowledgeable. They let you ask infinite questions without rushing you or making you feel stupid. And their selection is great!

The front desk staff was professional and friendly, however I was extremely disappointed with the piercer. Communication was poor throughout the whole process, professionalism was lacking, I received almost no aftercare instructions, and the piercings were put on so tightly that when I tried to remove the piercings a 2 weeks later (which I HAD to do, because the barbells I was provided were MUCH too short, and were causing my skin to heal in a very weird manner,) I had to have a friend use two sets of pliers to be able to remove the ball bearings (causing pretty serious irritation at the piercing site.)I had previously gotten piercings done at Avanti, and the piercer on staff then was spectacular and I had nothing but rave reviews. However as long as the current piercer is on staff, I have no intention of coming back.

I was in there about a month ago and I bought a septum ring. I asked if it was a size 10 and the person helping me said it looked about the same as the one I have in. I bought it for 30 dollars and when I tried to put it in it was way to big and it hurt. I can’t return it so I wasted my money, and I feel like the girl helping me should have made sure it was the right size since it’s a no return policy.

Got my nose pierced here. The staff is super friendly and enthusiastic. It was my first piercing ever and Erika addressed all the questions and concerns I had and talked me through proper aftercare. The whole process was quick and almost painless! I love my piercing and I would definitely recommend this place to a friend! Amazing customer service!

Just got my nasal piercing there! The staff were incredible and very comforting about my nervousness. They walked me through what they would do, and showed me just what I was looking for. They didnt pressure me at all, the place was extremely clean and well kept. The piercing itself looks great and sits well on my nose. It hurt for like 5 seconds while they put it in, but it went so smooth. Overall Im 100% satisfied and I would highly recommend this place for first timers and piercing addicts alike. Jena was my piercer and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great piercings. I came out of the room afterwards and everyone was so excited to see it. All in all, clean, comfortable, and worth the price. I will most definitely recommend and return here for all my piercing needs 👌

I am certainly a newbie when it comes to body piercings about 5 months ago I got my cartilage pieced up on my right ears. Now I was confused with the studs that they gave me. I was so used to normal earrings with the butterfly back. I walked past this store and deiced to ask about what types I could wear. Emily was super helpful! I walked in and she greeted me right away. I asked about studs and she was able to identify my type of stud by looking at it. She explained to me everything and even explained how I could change out things. She was very helpful on helping me choose what type of gem I what. Super nice also. Great experience! Great atmosphere, not intimating like a tattoo parlor. I would recommend this place 100%. Pricing was okay I got two gems for $30. To be honest I liked that price but I could be cheaper. Once again everyone was super helpful and understanding. :D I hope this place stays open because am going back to get more!

I have found that Avanti is my go to place to get a piercing in Portland. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful when answering my never ending stream of seemingly silly questions and always help me pick out the perfect jewelry for my new piercing. Their jewelry selection is the best I have seen in the area and the price is unbeatable.

I wish I honestly could rate them lower.My friend and I walked in asking to look at septum rings. We get greeted by a tall, skinny man with glasses and a rose hand tattoo. He was possibly one of the rudest people I have ever met and I work in customer service.The first thing he says to my friend was that she wasn’t allowed to “play with” her current nose ring as she was trying to show him the width she wanted. Then proceeded to make her explain in 5 different ways what type of ring she wanted. He argued with his coworker (who was trying to be nice) IN FRONT of us about what the proper placement of a septum ring is and that the one my friend wanted was wrong. In the midst of all of this he did not once tell us the pricing of anything we were looking at, the quality, or anything positive about what we wanted.In addition to all of that, the price for a nose piercing is $85. I have gotten all of my piercings at Multnomah Piercing & Tattoo for $25 a piece, where they are super surgically sterile, wonderfully nice people. Give them your money instead of this rude man.

Worst visit of my life. You all need to work on your customer service and make your PAYING customers feel wanted. I was completely ignored and two people that just strolled in were helped before me after waiting very patiently for 5 or so minute. Youve officially lost my business for life and I will never recommend you to anyone I know. ✌

Staff was very friendly, but this place is over priced. I had my cartilage pierced before for $60 and after years had to take it out due to playing soccer. But This place charged me $105. The jewelry is fine, but that is crazy expensive. The lowest would have still been $99.

Every single time I go in, I feel like Im surrounded by friends. And not in that Ive been coming here for so long sort of way, but in the these people actually care about what I need sort of way. Ive NEVER walked out of this store without exactly what I needed. Emily and Natasha are AMAZING. Every time I come in, theyre both so helpful and knowledgeable. Never a question unanswered!

My 8 year old daughter decided it was time to get her ears pierced. After doing some due diligence, I decided to give Avanti a try. The woman who did her piercing was AMAZING with my daughter! She walked through everything step by step in a way that made my daughter (who was nervous about a needle) very comfortable. It was a no tears, positive experience. Not to mention, the place was clean, sanitary and the piercing was done by the book. To parents out there than are on the fence, go to a professional. It is well worth it!

I have severe allergic reactions to cheap jewelry. Ive tried several online jewelry shops online that claim to be implant grade surgical steel only to find they are cheap garbage from china when they arrive in the mail. By luck I found Avanti jewelry. I have my nose and stomach pierced. 6 months now with Avantis jewelry and no tarnishing or reactions. Icing on the cake, gems are just as sparkling as the day i bought them. Love love love!

Tyler and Nikki were WONDERFUL! Nikki was incredibly helpful assisting me in finding the right gold nose ring and I left really excited with my purchase. When I got home I noticed that the hoop was damaged and since I had spent a good amount of money on it, I wanted one that was perfect. I called and spoke to Tyler who told me to come back in and they would gladly look at it and see what they could do.They ended up exchanging it for me with no problem, even though it went against their return policy. I was very impressed that, above anything else, they wanted me to have a flawless product. They pride themselves in offering high quality jewelry and as a customer, I greatly appreciate that!Not only do they have a large selection of jewelry, they hire THE BEST sales associates. Their customer service is out of this world, which keeps me coming back!

Most places you go have a staff that acts like they know it all and are judging you if you dont have the right look or anything for that matter. This place is the opposite everyone that Ive talked to is super friendly and are there to help educate you if you need to be pointed in the right direction. I go out of my way to go to this shop. Its a little more expensive than hot topic but what adult wants to go there. I would rather pay a little more and get great customer service any day of the week. I highly recommend them.

I got my nose pierced at Avanti over a year ago and I’ve been a repeat customer. All the piercers I’ve worked with really know what they’re doing. Chris from Vegas helped fix my nose after I cheated and went to a place in Lloyd center that put the wrong type of nose ring in without telling me what it was. He was professional and fixed EVERYTHING perfectly. I went in and saw Erica just yesterday and my nose has healed nicely, she switched my post and took good care of us. The owner was in as well and he was such a friendly guy. Even the counter associates are always friendly and provide great customer service. I won’t go anywhere else in the city!!

The other day I went into the store to pick up some new plugs for my ears, and I had the most delightful experience. Nikki/Nicky was the associate who helped me and she truly made it a worthwhile experience. Ive been shopping at that store since I moved up here and it has been a delightful experience each and every time. Id recommend this store to anyone who not only wants a good product but an impressionable customer service experience as well.

They seem friendly enough. They werent bet upfront with info that might impact how your piercing will look. For example, apparently they know if a piercing is high up on the nostril, a hoop will sit further out from the side of the nose than most people want. They wont tell you while you are picking the new piece of jewelry, its only when they are putting it in will they tell you, after its been in your nose and unreturnable. Now someone is stuck with a piece of jewelry that they paid good money for, and either left in and jutting really far out from the side of the nose or having it taken back out and their new purchase being useless. Unless you are very familiar or know what to ask, I wouldnt recommend coming here. It is bright, clean, and has nice selection of jewelry though.

I love this place. The employees are so friendly and willing to answer any and all questions you might have. The will take the time to show you every thing in their case if you asked! I recently had a mishap where I bought 2 earrings that seemed to be different sizes, but with a phone call and quick trip in to the store I got my matching sizes and the smaller one back because they couldnt resell it. They are awesome!

I dont live any where near Avanti, but I came across them while searching for a specific piece of BVLA jewelry. I received the best customer service I have ever had, even though it was just through email. Nikki was EXTREMELY helpful, and always responded quickly. I havent been able to purchase the item I wanted quite yet, but I was able to find and order awesome piece in the meantime. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality body jewelry. I will most definitely order from Avanti again!

Very well prices piercings here and helpful staff. good selection of all types of pieces from gages to belly button rings. Various shapes and styles and pretty much every color gem you could think of. The metal they use is good quality and havent heard of any skin irritation.

Avanti Body Jewelry is the best place! Their staff is amazing, & shipping time was so quick. I live in Alaska & got my piece within a week. As a customer, the first thing I look for in a company for my repeat business is their customer service. Avanti staff exceeded my expectations by far. The quality of the jewelry is spot on too! The store was beautiful with a wonderful variety of stocK. What truly sold me however was the fantastic help I receive from Kayla. I genuinely think this place is too overpriced. The atmosphere may scream, were fancy, so you know its safe, but the workers there were just rude. The jewelry is also abysmal.Go elsewhere this place is not worth it.

Just went today, it was fast cheap and obviously of good quality. It took them less than a minute to find exactly what I needed and they had so many different options just for a single size of nose ring. The people at the front are awesome. I know where Im going from now on!

I went here back in January to get nipple piercings, it went very well. I loved it so much my mom and I went there again for new piercings. I wanted to get my tongue pierced for the second time and my mom went in for her tragus. When we first came in there was a different piercer than when I got pierced the first time. She was rude towards my mom and me. I went in first and said I want the same spot on my tongue to be pierced, she dismissed everything I said and didnt tell me any information on what I was being pierced with. It hurt way more than the first time, after maybe 10 minutes my tongue went numb. After a few days it was only getting worse, it was bruised and swollen, which i know is normal, but I couldnt feel my tongue at all and I could barely drink water it hurt too much from being swollen. I had to take it out because I was in too much pain. My mom on the other hand, was fine up until today. This all happened maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Shes still having issues with her ear and she decided to take it out too because it was getting too much to deal with and she has been taking amazing care of it. She took it out which took maybe 45 minutes to an hour to do because it was so snug. Her ear started to heal around the piercing, like it was trying to absorb her piercing. She looked at it and thought it looked too small. Her nose ring that she was pierced with is bigger than what she was pierced with for her tragus. My tongue is still numb and it sucks writing a bad review for this place because I love it so much, the jewelry is amazing but it was just an overall experience.The piercer that did an amazing job the first times name is Erika, and the one that we had the bad experience with is Jena.

No one answered the phone, so I showed up with my 3 year old daughter, and to being told they dont start piecing ears till at least 10 years old.Place is expensive anyways $85 for one piecing, and $104 for two. So getting your ears pierced would be $104...I got my belly button priced in Salem OR, at a place for $45 beautiful pricing... crazy

Probably my favorite body jewelry store in portland. Very knowledgeable and articulate in their craft, the people who work here give you a professional, well informed experiance. The jewelry itself is amazing, artistic, and elegant.

They worked with me to find a piercing I liked when my original idea was not an option. However, Erika was incredibly rude. I also found it to be overpriced and do not think my piercing was worth what I paid. I wish I would have gone somewhere else.

Beware!! 0 stars. Look online before you buy, you will save $$$ and time. Refused a refund for a product still heat sealed. The manager was unfriendly and not helpful whatsoever. This place used to be so much better. Now its just a joke.

Liked them way better when they were a tiny kiosk in the middle of the mall, loved that they were affordable and had excellent variety now they are over priced and lack a lot of styles that people might be looking for.

Best spot to get quality jewelery in Portland! I kept buying internal threaded philtrum jewlery from other shops and the opal would fall out after a few weeks every time. Finally found Avanti and was set up with the push and click opal that hasnt budged in the few months Ive had it. Super impressed, so I went back to get shorter posts and more opals for other piercings and ended up getting an eye brow piercing as well. Incredibly clean and sterile. The jewlery may be a little pricy(not even the priciest in town), but its so worth it when everything else falls out and gets lost. Ive gotten plenty of piercings from shops all over, and the girls at Avanti made me feel more welcome than any other place. I found my piercing/body jewelery spot in Portland for life!

In my experiences with this shop, I have ended up stuck with hundreds of dollars worth of body jewelry that was the wrong size. All due to the “return (no return) policy.” Im always unable to exchange or return the items if the size is wrong, even when the Employees would repeatedly assure me they would fit. since I trusted them, I’m now screwed out of money and end up having to spend twice as much. Store rules say you can’t try anything on beforehand. That if your in the store, you can’t even take out your own piercings to put new jewelry in after you buy it. That any jewelry that have been taken out of the sealed packaging are non-refund/non-returnable.If you don’t care about buying overpriced jewelry, then at least try to know your size/gauge before shopping here. don’t waste money by trusting a random persons word and then buying stuff that doesn’t fit and can’t be returned.

Bad experience! Expensive! No warranty! False promises! Awful customer service and attitude from the manager Erica. No response from Tyler who sent a personalized email thanking me for being a repeat customer. Lesson learned. I will never be back. On top of it the final jewelry I bought from Avanti were not even the right size! Go elsewhere. After my experience I have heard of multiple people who had a problem as well. Maybe they just dont have the time or want the drama to make a true review on the true quality of this establishment.

Suspected this place of overcharging based on how employees feel. Went in 3 different times on three different days asking about the same item and sure enough 3 different prices one was $20 more than the first and the worst was $35 more. Avoid this cheap generic overpriced stuff.

Its ok, since its becoming a piercing location the prices have gone waaay up....but thats to be expected. However I can pay the same amount at Adorn piercing and tattoo and get gorgeous body jewelry included in the price!

A quick note: I have had my septum pierced for 10+ years. When I went in I was not wearing anything in it and hadnt for a month or two. Its an old hole, I know that I go this long with minimal damage/when to stop if it were too small.I went in and asked for a retainer. My roommate had just gotten one here, so I knew what I wanted and told her directly. But then the questions started - Do you have your septum pierced? How long? Are you sure its still open? I need to ask someone about this.As someone who apprenticed as a body piercer, I get that a lot of people dont really know what theyre doing when they come into a shop. However, I did and I told her exactly what I wanted. It seemed really weird to question me about if I even had a piercing. Like, what if I wanted to go in and buy jewelry for other people? I shouldnt get the 3rd degree. It was almost kind of offensive when she asked someone else if it would be ok. I know she was trying to be helpful, but that was just weird.Either way, I have been going here for years and I will continue. That was just a weird experience that felt a little too invasive for my tastes.Thank you for everything else, though. I wish the prices were a little lower for some of the jewelry, but theyre not too gouge-y.

Worker has been extreemly! Rude on several occasions and a friend, several family members and i have had infections from the jewelry. Not worth it😭 Edit: my friend just got an oral piercing there and they messed up and had to repierce it. Needless to say healing was not fun at all.

Terrible...used to be a cool place to go with cool jewelery...had a mellow good groove to it...now its all bright and blingy...trendy if you will I guess...not a very helpful person helping us...very limited not good choices for 1/2 gauges and no one to help out with questions or gauge up...???...very disappointing...will not ever go there again...👎👎👎

Got my Conch pierced here a few weeks back. Everyone was super professional and very nice while I poked around looking at all the options.

I went to Avanti Body Piercing on a Friday, and I was looking forward to seeing Rivka who did my nose piercing but unfortunately she wasnt there. Instead I was introduced to Erika. Im that type of person who likes to ask questions to learn more. I can tell that Rivka was getting a little annoyed by me, because I kept asking questions about the jewelry, and the prices. Since it was my second time at this piercing shop I was sure to ask questions because were talking about someone piercing my ear, and buying expensive jewelry. I wanted to make sure that I had useful information before I get pierced and spend my money on this place. Also I was told by someone that every time I was looking at the jewelry, or looking somewhere else she would give me a mean look. I hope that next time I step into this place I hope I see Rivka because she was very patient and understandable with me.

Rivka was extremely helpful. I learned some things about my piercing and she was all smiles. This is the only place I go for my jewelery. Glad to see knowledgeable staff as well as good product! Keep it up!

I’ve been doing my research for a really long time looking into different piercers and prices as well as reviews. I finally had my heart set on Avanti after going to their website and learning more about their amazing piercers. After that I quickly messaged them on Facebook to see if it was okay for walk ins because I have come across rude parlors snappin after answering that question. I’ve been wanting a septum for years but had two bad piercing experiences before so I was a nervous wreck. The staff helped so much to get rid of my nerves. The place is so neat and clean! Erika is absolutely phenomenal! She let me know more about the what went wrong with my last piercings to get a better understanding. She also let me know what choices I had and the prices. I paid $70 for a septum and I don’t regret a single penny at all. It is WORTH it. Plus you receive your jewelry of choice but keep not different ones vary price. The fact that they throw in the after care spray is another bonus. I’ve already had others asking where I got it done and have a friend going here for her septum. Amazing customer service!! I was contacted slightly thereafter by the original contact, Nikki, who offered the 10%, now offering a new top as well but was asked to submit a picture to show proof of the gem coming off of the stud. Okay, but where is the communication between me being a now happy customer talking with Kayla and starting kind of at square one again with Nikki? Well, my nose is sparkly again and this gem is staying outside of the piercing after receiving a cute package from Kayla. Kayla says they are going to look at my suggestion of warning about the possibility of a 1.5mm gem being too close to a 18g, causing it to retract into the piercing, on the ordering page of their website but that the info from Nikkie was incorrect about it being the exact same size at the 18g. Time will tell if this gem stays put.******I left a 5 star review, but one week later I had the stud pushing inside my nose, went to push it out from the inside, pulled it up gently from the outside and the gem came off immediately. Contacted the store for help. Was only offered a 10% discount after spending $25 on an item that lasted less than a week. Was told that the 1.5 mm gem is the same size as the 18g that I ordered, so that is why it went inside my nose. Well, that should not be an option to order then or there should be a warning somewhere when ordering. This is my third item from this store that has lost a gem within a week of buying it. Third strike, youre out.*********Ordered online. Very pleased. Lots of options for the Korbar nose ring from size of gem to color to stem length. These will be my new go-to nose rings. Customer service was excellent. Was kept up-to-date on when my order shipped, when it would arrive, and when it was delivered. Pretty packaging with hand written note and cute little drawing inside along with business card was a nice touch! Thank you. Love my aurora borealis nose ring.

Ok, I love Avanti for their jewlery selection, but thats not what this review is about.If youre going for a piercing, make SURE that you ask for Rivka!! She is an ARTIST!I knew that I wanted three more ear piercings, but I wasnt sure what or where I wanted them (traigus? conche? etc). She showed me several different ideas for my ears, giving me the pluses and minuses of each area, and told me what she could and couldnt do with my ears. She came up with not just the perfect layout, but also the perfect jewelry that would enhance what I already had.As if that wasnt enough, she was a consummate professional. My conche piercings previously had hurt BADLY!! The person that I had gone to before (NOT at Avanti) was really, really slow in doing the piercing, which just prolongs the pain. Rivka, on the other hand, was quick!! One cartilage piercing took slightly longer than the other two, but it was because it was a particularly thick part. When I say slightly longer, it took her three seconds (literally), instead of the 1.5 seconds that the other two did. After all was said and done, she proceeded to give me a five minute lecture on how to care for my piercings while they heal. Im totally in love with her. Shes the only person Im going to see for piercings from now on.

Horrible experience. Do not ever go here. They do not stand behind their word. I went here to get a piercing. I was told after I needed to come back on Wednesday to get a smaller post. I was told there would be no additional charge that they put a bigger one in to allow for swelling. I went back as I was told and the piercer that did me was no longer there as his license expired and he moved. Yet a few days prior was told to come back on that specific day. So they had no piercer person . I called and complained and was told by the manager to come back again when they had a piercing person. Was told i can bring my own jewelry and they would switch it out. Went back and was told they dont do that anymore. Even though I was told this by a manager they wouldnt and further more would charge me. I will never ever go here agian.

The store is perfectly laid out and the associate that helped me on Christmas Eve was so helpful and so kind especially on such a crazy shopping day!! Plus my wife will go out of her way to go to this store for her piercings

Highly recommend shopping here. The selection is excellent. My boyfriend and I came here on my visit to Portland and I picked up a pair of dichro double flare 1/2 glass plugs and a pair of wood double flares. Loved the dichro.Unfortunately, the wood pair caused my lobes to have some sort of allergic type reaction. I wasnt upset so much as interested in finding out the wood type so I could avoid it in future jewelry purchases. Both pairs of plugs came in small ziplock bags that were heat sealed with a notice that if the heat seal were broken, no exchanges would be made. However, to my pleasant surprise, upon finding out that I had had an unexpected bad reaction to the material, Natali who was working behind the counter offered to exchange the wood jewelry! I was very pleased; I hadnt expected this at all. I actually ended up spending more money there that day and getting a second pair of dichro plugs.The selection, quality, and customer service of this establishment is top notch. I will definitely be making future purchases. Thanks Natali!
