Charm to spare in this small bookstore, with quirky little art here and there and lots of great childrens books. Perfect little patio area for author readings. It makes my heart happy that there are still wonderful little bookstores thriving like this one.

Magical! Magical! Magical! I love to travel and when I do I seek out the independent store. My name is Roger Browning and I am a writer. It was prepandemic when on family vacation, we searched it out and entered. So excellent! I want so much the next time my travels bring me that direction, to bring my grandkids right here. My name is Roger Browning. My love is the independent bookstore. I am a great supporter and you must be too. They offer you the greatest of selections that even most librarys cant and the new bookstores cannot even compete. They need you as much as you need them. I am a writer, but also a rancher, born and bred into the life I lead, but writing is my passion and has been for the past forty nine years of my in total fifty nine years. My name is Roger Browning and my book is now out on Amazon and is set of a modern day ranch in Texas. A story about a troubled family of inheritance gone wrong and is titled The Reckoning of Rance.

The staff is so knowledgeable about books for all ages and always go the extra mile with customer service. Weve been buying books from here for my sons age 2-6 ages so far and theyve consistently had or ordered anything hes requested and also recommended some of his favorites. Love this place.

Discovered this whimsical bookstore in the Alberta district today. Was greeted by two amazing people that guided me to the perfect books for my nephews and niece. It was throughly the most delightful experience. I described my nephews and niece and the lovely staff found the most incredible books 📚 for me. I recommend them, and I will definitely be back!!

My husband and I loved this book shop! Its so cute and filled with great childrens books. If youre looking for a place to grab some books for your kids, Id definitely recommend green bean books. The shop is on the smaller side, but like I said, its packed with tons of books. We spent so much time in here looking for books for our kids and they loved what we got. They have a great variety and the prices are great as well! I believe they have activities for kids, some you might need to sign up for in advanced. The owner was super friendly. Overall I loved this store and well definitely be back and I would definitely recommend checking this place out 👍👍👍

While checking things out we found a book store for children, but due to COVID we stayed out. Hope the children had fun reading. Shopping one day.

They always have great age appropriate suggestions. I have bought many gifts here for friends, nieces, nephews, and my daughter. Often the books recommended by Green Bean staff become the new favorites.

The most magical bookstore (maybe retail store) in all the land. The owner is a former grade school teacher and a tireless advocate for quality books for all young people, and the staff (shout-out to Earl!) knows every children’s and middle grade book ever written. Need a book about dinosaurs, princess wands, and libraries for a child in your life? GBB will show you five terrific options. Pre-pandemic, their community events rocked Alberta with alpacas, rockstar authors/illustrators, and cozy places for all to curl up and read. Truly one of the Northwest’s greatest treasures. It is impossible to overstate how wonderful Green Bean Books is. This book store has been an important part of my kids and my lives for many years. The staff really knows their library and they have recommended quite a few books/series to us that have gone on to become among our favorites. I will still be shopping here long after my kids are grown to get my young adult fiction fix. Highly recommended.

Green Bean Books is a cozy, adorable, kid friendly book store. They gave a great little covered outdoor patio for their story time and some great kids events - like their monthly Read to a Dog story time and their monthly Musical Spanish Story time - check their website for upcoming dates!

A bookstore just for kids? How amazing is that! I was impressed by the variety of kids books that they had in stock, everything from picture to middle age fiction. They had some unique books as well. Worth a stop!

A really cute kids book store. We stopped in for a copy of Chis Sweet Home but they didnt have it. We found some other great stuff. I will go back.

The best kids bookstore in town. The employees genuinely care about kids, literature, and community. They offer tons of storytimes and other events. They are super knowledgeable on their entire collection and are always willing to help take the extra time to find the perfect gift for a child.

They have a well curated collection of childrens books ranging from classic to just published. Check their calendar and visit during a weekly story time or author event.

Fabulous childrens bookstore that packs more into a small space than most bookstores pack into a warehouse. Great curated selection of picture books, chapter books, middle grade, and young adult novels, plus toys. Supports and promotes authors and illustrators with kid-focused readings and events.

I can only hope that bookstores like this one make a comeback. Great little place!

It is probably impossible to find a more perfect and cozy childrens book store than Green Bean Books in NE Portland. They have an extraordinary and unique collection of books AND all sorts of other amazing wonders going on here too.. The staff are big readers and love to recommend books they are reading. The owner is also a very talented craftswoman and there are little cubbies you open to discover the most magnificent scenes inspired from childrens books. There is a vending machine with neat little surprises, and the space itself is magical. It looks like a little red house that welcomes you with the best window displays youll find anywhere. Theres a comfy sofa inside and a great deck too to sit outside on sunnier days.t is is also located on a GREAT walking street with plenty of great shops and delicious restaurants.
