I just love this shop! Great $5 book shelves out front and a small but fantastic collection inside! You can tell the owners really love this store and their community! (And there is a donut and ice cream shop next door!) Highly recommend this store for anyone that loves books and reading!

Easily one of the best bookstores in town. Worth a trip to St. Johns just for this. A rich well-curated selection, particularly for the space.

Covid had stopped my tour, so I never had the chance to enter this store, reminiscent of yesteryear. Ive heard others tell of its main street feel of older days gone by and of the barbershop appeal for gatherings, that lives its brick and mortar. Friends have told me to be sure and visit when able and so I will. My five stars given are by what I have been told and the feeling expressed to me then in its telling. Amazing little shop run by nice folks and with a social conscience. Im always struck by the enthusiasm and its in a great location in St. Johns, basically across from the movie theater (closed right now w/some popcorn sales but hopefully open soon). I would say check it out for some fun offerings & good recommendations.

LOVE this bookstore and the people who work here! Its a small space, but the selection is well-curated and theres always something fun to pick up. Ive reached out a few times on instagram about certain titles and someone always responds the same-day or morning after. Even if they dont have a particular book in-stock, Ive been able to order through them and receive it by the weekend. I recently requested a few titles and was pumped to see that the book I was most excited about was a signed copy by the author!! Such a special spot and definitely worth the time to visit!

St. Johns is a Portland neighborhood that is near and dear to my heart. As a long time resident of North Portland, Revolutions Bookshop is a jewel in the crown of the historic downtown St. Johns area. This tiny little whole in the wall is where Wayne the barber ran his barber shop for many decades. I remember Wayne and getting my hair cut by him years ago. Now, in his place and honoring of his memory is this lovely little book shop and dont ask me how they fit SO MANY FABULOUS BOOKS into such a tiny little shop but they did. They have also managed to make it look fantastic and feel like home. The owners tend to the shop and are always friendly and happy to help you find what youre looking for. I cant speak highly enough about this new addition to Historic St. Johns, we are lucky to have Revolutions Bookshop as a part of this community!

Stopped in a few days ago and I couldnt have been happier I did! they had a great selections of books, comics and graphic novels. All the books are in solid condition and reasonably priced. Ill probably be back every week! Just wish they had a book club I could join...

This place is a gem of a bookstore. One very cool thing that the owners do which makes it so unique is they will procure books for you if they dont have what youre looking for in stock. So far Ive bought three different books from them like this; like a week after I request a book, they text me when they have it in stock. Talk about personalization!

Such a lovely, personal experience! I bought books, but the owners were interested in books I thought kids would want (3rd grade teacher). Will DEFINITELY go back. Plus, its in DT St Johns.

The owners are delightful and so knowledgeable about their books. They have a wide and interesting range of books and I’m always very pleased with my purchases. Whenever I’m in town from my hometown in California, I make sure to stock up with books. I highly recommend this store. The best!

They manage to capture the fun and intrigue of books with the way they have decorated and set up their space. Warm and inviting, and well condensed selection of books. I have visited the majority of bookstores in Portland and they have managed something quite special here; its worth a stop!

Really just one of the most wonderfully curated little bookshops Ive ever been inside of. Treasures to be found everywhere. Would highly recommend. Very friendly staff.
