Located this business on Google and couldnt be more pleased and satisfied with the hiking pod. The people working here are friendly and knowledgeable, but most of all, the gear is top notch and excellent. The pack was durable and just as important comfortable. After getting a little... OK, perhaps a bit more than a little out of shape, I had a great time hiking 30 miles with a full kit carrying additional water and food for three days. The comfort and mobility of the pack made it easy to keep control of my dogs without feeling like the pack encumbered me.The tent is excellent. There is plenty of room for two people with a enough space at your feet for your supplies. Mind you, like any two-person tent, its best if youre cozy. The rented hiking set included a tent, air mattress, sleeping bag, camp chair, stove, utensils, a surprisingly complete and compact first aid kit, UV water purifier, and several other amenities. Everything you would need for a several day hiking/camping trip. All you need is your personal items and food (water if you location doesnt have a ready available source).I cannot recommend this company enough. I am from Portland, so I handled the pickup and drop off personally, but upon reviewing the shipping information for this company, it couldnt be easier. If youre like me and arent able to hike and camp often enough to justify the expense of purchasing the equipment on short notice, this is the best option that Ive come across.In short, the gear was top notch, durable, light and extremely comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time using their equipment and my dogs loved getting out of the city. They provided a little notebook, with instructions for the tent and equipment, as well as tips for the hike, and finally pages where you can enter you personal notes and observations. Just a little detail that goes a long way to demonstrating just how much the owners and operators of Xscape treat and care for the people renting their equipment. Ill be using Xscape Pod for my next hike/camping trip.

If you need a complete camping setup on the fly they have you covered. The kit has everything you need just buy some fuel for the stove and you are good to go. The tent was very user friendly and fast to set up/ tear down. My friend and each got a big sleeping mat that the sleeping bag actually locks into (its a really cool system) and the camp chairs are great little lightweight backpacking type. Overall very impressed with the gear and the customer service.

This was exactly what we needed, and made our trip along the Oregon coast more memorable than we could have imagined!Three of us were visiting Portland and then traveling down the Oregon coast for 5 days. We wanted to camp along the coast but didn’t want to bring gear with us across country, or buy gear while in Oregon.This was the perfect solution! Everything we needed to camp comfortably! Great customer service! Nic worked with me to make sure the camping trip I planned to Acadia National Park in late October would work for myself and my kids. The gear was there waiting for us when we flew in, but because of a Noreaster in the area, Blackwoods campground was closed to the public. We ended up not getting to use the very cool Xscape Pod equipment Nic had shipped to us, but despite meeting his end of the deal, Nic refunded half of the cost I had incurred to rent the Xscape Pod equipment. Nic was a pleasure to speak with and left me wanting to use Xscape Pod for another adventure in the future. Thank you, Nic!
