The hours are great, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the company and vehicles. The auction is clean, organized, and is completely professional and great selection at a fair price. 5 stars.
Great service but some workers in the lot have an attitude.
I work for a used car lot and We go all over the state to get Car
The arbitration department will do nothing to help you except tell you how you are in the wrong. This is the experience I had with the Portland location.I am a out of state buyer who buys many vehicles from multiple auctions including this one. I bought this vehicle from Manheim Portland using Simulcast. Has a 4.5 grade showing no damages. If you are a dealer you know when youre buying multiple vehicles online fast you look at the condition report and what major flaws it has through what is noted on the report. Pictures are small and normally dont show flaws so buyers use the condition report provided. So I buy this vehicle expecting what is noted in the inspection report. I drive out to Portland to pick it up. It has everything that is noted except for the HUGE dent it has the back bumper. I assumed it was a lot damage considering the inspection report noted nothing. I go to the arbitration department and let them know. They pulled it up online and looked at the pictures. They told me since its pictured in one of the corner pictures they do not have to note it in the inspection report. I couldnt believe this what they were saying! So I asked for her manager to give me a call on Monday. Today is Wednesday and I just heard from him and after a 10-minute conversation of going back and forth he said the same thing. Since its in the picture it doesnt have to be noted. Sounds like fraud to me. They can basically give there vehicles a high condition report by skipping out on major damages this way. He tried to make it sound like it was my fault for not seeing it in the pictures.... I dont think he understands how some dealers buy cars. I shouldnt have to spend time inspecting all the pictures to makes sure Im getting a clean, un dented, unscratched vehicle on every vehicle in prospect to buy. This is what the condition reports are suppose to be for.The bumper will need to be replaced. Going to cost $293 installed. I really hope this review gets out to other dealers before they make their decision to buy here and have to go through the same BS Im going through with them. You would think Manheim would want to work with a long term customer but instead they will just make you feel you are in the wrong . Im sure im not the only one this has happened to. Even my dealer friends that have heard the situation thinks its a bunch of BS as well.....On a side note the front desk staff has always been very nice and helpful over the last few years here. They just need to figure out their arbitration dept ....
Cathy was a very big help when I thought a check had been lost from Manheim. She went out of her way and emailed corporate to track it down to see what had happened. In the end it was our fault but she still kept a smile on the other end of the phone which I thought was awesome. I love this auction, wish it was closer to where I live in Boise :(
Check in security staff always fast and easy 🙏
Awesome.service excellent work!. Charlie explained the whole process to get my new 2019 ram 1500 Spray in bed liner done. Easy to schedule. Excellent deal. Top notch work. Looks amazing, like the truck bed is ready for anything. Highly recommend Manheim. They will treat you very well. I learned more about the auto nindustry and have discovered an amazing detail and auto body company I never knew existed until now. Will be back for regular detailing in the future.
A dealer only auction facility and I mean dealer only no public allowed whatsoever so if you are in the business definitely one of The Originals
Day shift is helpful but after hours staff are a waist of time
Great little auction!!! Fast paced but awesome none the less!! Even with all the craziness going on, not one staff member was rude or put out when asked a question!!! They are doing something right with their staff training!!! Definately will go back!!!!!
I have been a long time customer of Manheim. Within the last week I worked with a sales rep at this location. She was very poor at negotiating, had a difficult time communicating and made multiple mistakes with the buying/selling process. I would not recommend working with this location of Manheim, multiple poor experiences.
Nice people
I worked in the body shop as a sublet vendor. Being in the auto business for some 15 years I have been to multiple auctions in my lifetime. Working on property I got to see behind the scenes. I can tell you that the auction is ran like an oiled machine. They practice continues improvement and are constantly looking at metrics to improve their service to their customers!
Hardworking &friendly staff, good cars, goes above &beyond for customers/dealers.
THE BEST PLACE TO BUY CARS. The staff is wonderfull. Baby is very helpful. Thanks for being the best.
Good people.
If you are looking for cars and trucks that you can buy way above retail and sell below book this is your place.I was trying to find as many cars as I could to replace engines, transmissions, head gaskets and then have them shipped to my location. Then the challenge was to sell them for less than what I had into them. It worked out great!! I did that almost every time! Thanks Manheim Portland!! Pat yourself on the back. I especially like the last unit I bought that sounded like a busted sewing machine ... Awesome.
This Manheim location runs like a well-oiled machine. Better selection than LA or Seattle lines.
Great sale. Lamphere gives away $25 back up bidder cards, Kiefer gives away $500 at the beginning and the end of his sale. Better deals than some of the sales later in the week in the area. I like all the auctions but at the moment this one seems to be the one where Im getting the Best Buys. They bring out water and sometimes yogurt parfaits or other little treats and theres always fresh coffee in the corner.
Definitely more negative than positive. Crosspoint is the place to go. Im not sure whos in charge of the order of operations, but one would hope that out of 5 days in a week, the test track would be fully operational on auction day.
Great place to sell a 🚘🚘🚘🚘! Or 🚛🚛🚛. Getting a lot of cars available for auction! Come and see for yourself!
I couldn’t be happier with the service I received while my car was being fixed. They took care of absolutely everything!
Manheim Portland car auction is the place to be if youre a dealer I drive cars for Manheim through Command Center a temp agency you see some of the greatest deals there are go through this auction block
Wholesale only great people though
This is not a public auction.Dealer license required.
Big lot. Too many cars
I work at Manheim Portland Auto Body and Detail, it is a great place to work
Great place, very friendly staff, they have a huge selection of cars, I enjoy being here .
I love driving the Auto Auction.
Worst auction ever they clerks that pick up the phone are very disrespectful and have smart remarks. Have some respect for your customers and show them you will take an extra step to get what’s right fully theirs. I bought a car 24 days age and there was nooo announcement of a delay I have been waiting patiently calling them to ask what we can do to figure it out all I get is smart remarks and “I don’t know”. Anyways I would rather go to speeds auto auction lol they at least have the titles or know what’s going on.Manheim is a “i don’t know” type of business so I would rather stay away.
So professional! Awesome environment! Nice honest people!
So, in only approx the last 3 months, I have experienced the following LARGE problems/lack of attention to detail:A. I paid for a vehicle in cash, 16k. Received a paid in full receipt, and gate pass to remove the vehicle. Title was mailed to me a short time later, maybe about a week. Of course the gate pass would not have been issued, and the title would not have been mailed HAD THE VEHICLE NOT BEEN PAID IN FULL. Theres no way around that with Manheim. So approx 2.5-3 weeks after paying for the car, I received a call from that location, get this: asking when I was going to pay for that car!!!! Flabbergasted, I said I already had, had picked it up, and received title already - two things which would have NEVER happened if the car hadnt been paid for!! I was told theyd do some research and get back to me shortly. Irritating but I wasnt worried. A few hours later theyre calling back. I am told Sorry, we have NO record of your payment, and DO NOT BELIEVE this car has been paid for. Pay the original balance plus late fees immediately, or bring the car back to us! Its clearly an error that a gate pass was issued and title was mailed. WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? So pay twice for the same car, or give it back and let them keep 16k? Get the F out of here!!! I found my paid cash receipt for that VIN, marched it into a location, and got that cleared right up - though I never received an apology or even an excuse as to what may have happened on their end with regard to the error/oversight. What a great (lousy!!!!) computer system they have.....B. One car I purchased, while I made sure to review the vehicle summary page - where it shows sale date, VIN, miles, the seller, CR score, link to Autocheck and Carfax reports, etc, then the SALVAGE-YES OR NO line, being clearly notated as *NO*, then after purchase receiving a Salvage Title instead of a Clear Title!!! Titles are non-negotiable in all 50 states, meaning if its sold as Clear it has to actually and truly be clear. So after THAT phone call & subsequent research, found out the vehicle had a notation as salvage/prior theft recovery in the Separate-window-opening Seller Comments button/section at the very bottom of vehicle summary page (which nobody clicks on).... Yet I was flatly told I should have clicked on & read those comments too -- doesnt matter one bit that the MAIN summary page showed SALVAGE-NO, so its *MY* problem now. BTW: the car brought clean title money. Thats a nice little trick to offload a salvage vehicle for clean title money, right?!C. Bid on a vehicle online, on Simulcast. My bid was accepted, I was the high bidder, and couldnt bid anymore (against myself!). At least 5 full seconds passed. Right before the auction ended, the bid actually ROLLED BACK, to the company I was bidding against, and THEY won the auction -- for a lesser amount than my accepted/recorded bid!! No explanation could be offered when I raised hell to managers, GMs, and corporate. Needless to say I didnt get the car. Wow!D. Attempted to sell a vehicle. Got the lane and run number. Watching the auction as I was out of town, my car miraculously DOESNT EVEN RUN!! Wow!Im furious. And Im not going to run it 40 cars afterward, as most buyers waiting for it would have already moved on, thinking it wasnt running. Missed that opportunity! Dealers bring cars to Manheim to RUN AND SELL -- correct??? How does that occur if those cars dont EVEN RUN?? Completely ridiculous!! The explanation? We had a big problem with that this week. Lots of cars were in different lanes for some reason, and never ran. Your car that should have been in Lane 2? Yeah it was in Lane 8 - not sure why and sorry! Lets try again next week... Lol.Its laughable, truly!!!
Been coming here for years, great customer service
Was out of state for a few months, car was repod because of some miscommunications w my credit agency.. They a to make a new key so they could get into the car.. when i get it back they had stole some panels out the trunk leaving my rear suspension exposed from the interior. They stile my sons baby skippers that were U of O ducks. My car was tows from Wa state and tow truck drivers never had access into car or made an inventory. I doubt the tow company would steal baby shoes from oregon, and manheim happens to be in oregon.Stole some power chords, my jumper cables, first aid kit.. they did leave some designer glasses. The lady tried to blame the tow company and said they shimmed there way in.. bunch of trailer trash petty crooks handling the yard at manheim.
Lots of cars to see, if you are lucky enough to be a transporter
Great to deal with professionals

I got my car back and couldn’t even remember where the damage was. I’m convinced they employ magicians. Hats off to you, Manheim Portland Auto Body!
Nice place
Great staff always great.
Pretty worthless place. This is the root of the scandal that is the Portland auto dealer market. If you have a reason to go, try to not...
Excellent professional auto auction, for newer and used automobiles
Organized and professional staff
Dealer only auto auction. Service has improved
Passing through on the train looked interesting
They steal money from their employees by shorting them on their checks in the detail department. They treat their employees like garbage!
Great sevice and good prices.
Lots of cars to buy. Dealer only, for members.
They rag out the cars before selling them. They constantly race cars through the island. Its a real headache for the residents on the island.
Wonderful place for dealers to buy cars
