Great company. No cheap solutions or lazy shortcuts with The Floor StoreWe needed a flooring solution to support use of a wheelchair and walker. Old carpet had to be replaced by smooth surfaces and transitions had to be eliminated. The ground floor had partial old oak floors that had turned yellow. Joe came in and installed matching oak where carpet used to be and then refinished all the oak with a contemporary clear coat. It all looks like one original floor and adds value to our home. Upstairs we wanted a tough vinyl floor to coordinate with the oak but still tough enough for the wheelchair. The floor store helped us select a beautiful cascade plank vinyl and a tweed carpet for the stairs. Everything coordinates perfectly.It was a big project completed on schedule.

We were not sure if the old floor covering in our kitchen had vinyl or not, so a sample was taken from an area under our stove. Reasonable fee for the test, just to make sure. I am quite pleases with my experience at the Floor Store. My first visit I connected with Elmer --- And I was focused to see if there was a chance that there might be a chance to find a discontinued rug. In retrospect most unlikely but Elmer did check. As it turn out the options for rug options was quite extensive . And there was a sample that seemed to be exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. An EXECPTIONAL experience from the beginning to end of our flooring project! First, we had a special floor we really wanted and this team found it. They then did a great job of keeping us informed about the project, the timeline of arrival for our flooring, and the process to expect during installation (Thank you, Kim!).We were excited last week when installation day came, but were even more enthusiastic after meeting our installer, Brian Phillips. Brian asked many questions about our particular likes and dislikes regarding the finish work. We were blown away each day we came home and saw how outstanding his work was. We have had floors laid in the past, but Brians worked far surpassed them.The Floor Store will be the only flooring company we use going forward. I would give them 100 stars if Google would let me!

Mostly an okay experience. Julio worked hard by himself on a very hot day and did a good job installing the vinyl planking. Upon “completion” when payment was due, I wasn’t happy with the excuses given my Elmer when I disputed work supposedly done on the estimate and presented bill. If I hadn’t looked at the estimate I would have paid for work not done. Too bad someone providing the estimate cannot come out to verify all work was done as stated, or at least have better communication with what was quoted. Disappointed that I was supposed to get new matching quarter round trim from the selected floor company and instead my very old trim was removed and reinstalled with cracks and separation. It would have looked much nicer with the new trim as promised on the estimate. Labor charge to move large items simply (my refrigerator has wheels) was overpriced.A senior citizen

My floors are GORGEOUS!!!!!! Everyone was so kind and helpful. I was very overwhelmed by the choices. All of the employees I spoke to were kind and patient. The installers were phenomenal. Great job. When an issue came up they called me, asked me to come look at it, explained the cause and how they could fix it. They gave me choices and made sure I understood. If you need flooring done this is the company.

I found my experience at the Floor Store very refreshing. From the first moment I walked into the store and saw the sales rep at the front counter. He greeted me after completing a phone conversation and proceeded to assist me in selecting the flooring I needed. He coordinated another associate to come to my home and take measurements for the flooring and scheduled the installer for the following week. The installer was very efficient and neat and made the whole project come together perfectly. I would recommend The Floor Store to anyone looking to purchase and install flooring. The cost was no more than the big box stores and less costly than Lumber Liquidators.

A huge selection of flooring. We had carpet done, this is the 3rd time I have used the floor store. Installation was so well done - the team installing was so tidy and they worked so hard to get the carpet perfectly installed on our tricky stairs too.

Had an in home consultation via Costco. The rep had a laundry list of what they wouldnt do and a list of things that I would need to buy beforehand and provide. They basically offered me a selection from one type of lower tier Shaw LVP, since they had that in inventory and would have to order anything else.The estimate came in high, but I wanted to go with someone experienced, so I called the rep back a day later to set it up but couldnt get a call back from him. He eventually called me a couple days later and said that he had been out for a long weekend.Their loss was my gain, I found a different flooring company to go with and they are $2500 (!!!!) cheaper, with a much higher quality LVP. It includes painting and caulking baseboards, includes unhooking my water from toilet and sink in bathroom and includes moving furniture. I still have things that I will need to purchase, but the installer will do the buying and staining/painting needed. I was told I would have to do all these things myself at the Floor Store. This place quoted me $1520 for an underlayment that the new place is charging me $1050 for. It has been a night and day experience!I dont know if its because of it being through Costco or if this is the normal experience that non Costco customers have as well.

We love our new pet proof carpets with extra thick padding. It was a little extra $ but worth it, the bedrooms are much cozier then before. Great service and impeccable work. Ive used the floor store in the past and was so happy so of course I used them again for my new house. They had their experts come out and help find solutions for my large house with uneven floors. We had an underlayment put in then engineered hardwood. They are beautiful and perfectly even now. Also had carpet put in by Paco who did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend.

We discovered a leak behind the refrigerator in our rental, just days before the new tenant was scheduled to move in. The floor (engineered wood) beneath the refrigerator and in that entire refrigerator corner was ruined. We called the Floor Store, and Ted (whom I was told later is the owner) came by the very next day. He reassured us they could fix the problem within a few days. Even though we couldnt find the name of the flooring we had (which covered the entire apartment), he said they could find a close match and put a nice looking transitional piece between it and the old floor, so we wouldnt need to replace the entire floor--just that corner. A few days later, Paco (the installer) arrived. He stripped the damaged floor off and carefully checked the underlayment and baseboard for damage. The flooring he used to replace the damaged floor was such a close match we couldnt tell the difference. Instead of putting down a transitional piece, he actually laid the new planks in such a way that they blended seamlessly with the old floor. This guy was a real master craftsman and artist, and I am so grateful they sent him to do the repair. Everybody we worked with was very helpful and courteous, and Dan and Paco were very respectful of COVID precautions when they came to the apartment. The price was fair. Ive worked with a lot of remodeling craftspeople; and I have to say these folks are among the very best. They were a real pleasure to work with. Many thanks, Dan, Paco, and Floor Store!

We’ve used The Floor Store twice now for new carpet (once upstairs and once downstairs) both times were great, but what stood out about today’s install was that the entire process took less than two weeks. If you’ve recently tried to get anyone out to do work on your home, you know how challenging it can be to even get someone to come out and look at a potential project in two weeks let alone have that project completed in two weeks.We’ve already signed up for two more projects and we’re excited to have them back.

The Floor Store did well with our vinyl flooring and carpet installation. But... I dont recommend having them handle any baseboard installation. Ours was rushed and looks terrible. Theres large gaps everywhere. Nothing was caulked. Nail holes werent patched.The installer actually commented how the baseboards didnt look great, but that he wasnt going to take time to make them look better. (He later told me that he was rushing to get our 4-day job done in 3 days so he could move on to another job. Clearly, quality wasnt his first priority.)When I complained to the sales person, he just said thats how they do baseboard installation -- no caulking, fitting, patching or painting. From my standpoint, if Im paying a professional to do an installation, I expect a complete, quality, and thorough professional job.I feel fine about recommending The Floor Store for vinyl flooring or carpeting, but I recommend that you shop elsewhere for baseboard installation.UPDATE:After seeing my initial 2-star review, The Floor Store contacted me and asked what they could have done better. That wins high marks for customer service -- which is why Ive changed my rating to 3 stars.I explained that its really all about having clear conversations to set expectations. It seems reasonable that most customers who are purchasing baseboard installation would expect that to be done thoroughly.Since they were kind enough to ask for suggestions on how to improve, I recommended that they add a verbal conversation about baseboard installation rather than hide the details in the contract. The representative was a bit gruff and argumentative about it, which I found off-putting -- since the point of him calling was to try to make things right, not to berate me. But, oh well.Still, I was very impressed that they were willing to have someone come finish the baseboards. Unfortunately, we werent able to take them up on that. All of the rooms had just had the furniture moved back into them. It would have been too disruptive to our kids to move them back out of their bedrooms again, especially as they need their rooms to do remote schooling here during the pandemic. Plus, I deal with chronic health issues and just cant move all that furniture again. Well just have live with poorly done baseboards that have gaps at the corners and bottom.

We really wanted to use the Floor Store. It came highly recommended from so many folks but Im giving it three stars for two reasons. When we arrived the store everything was great. They have some of the best selection were very helpful. However, when it came time to an initial estimate the salesperson provided a sheet with some errors in the calculations. They used a hardwood install cost and not a laminate install cost. When he mentioned that the cost per square foot, I compared it with what was on the bid and the bid price was wrong. This could have been an oversight except for what happened later. After getting a thorough review by Robert (who was great and very helpful as an installer) at the house, my wife called to get the estimates from the Floor Store. The salesperson was rude to her and wouldnt provide the estimate for what we wanted. He kept telling her about alternatives and all we wanted was a bid for the jobs and options we discussed the day before. I dont think the Floor Store is necessarily a bad place to do business, but when were looking at spending huge money on replacing a floor, its two strikes youre out.

Elmer at The Floor Store was super friendly and was very helpful at helping me pick out flooring for our basement. The two guys that did the installation, Travis and Larry from Cascadia Flooring, did a fabulous job and were fun to have around. They were great at communicating during the whole process and finished very promptly. Five + stars for the whole experience.

Not really impressed. The only reason this review has 2 stars instead of 1 is because the workers showed up on time everyday and when I asked for a couple spots to be sealed up due to a bad cut in the floor it was done no problem. We had $15k worth of work done and we had a question about how one of the bathrooms looked. We thought it was supposed to look like tile with grout in between and it was installed with the tiles just next to each other. Also, we had 1 corner of a tile that was coming up the day after install. We tried multiple times to reach out to Jim, who was the saleman, via email as well as by phone and leaving a voicemail. After 3 weeks we have heard nothing back. Not very professional in my opinion eapecially considering how much money we paid them. If you want a company that cares about you AFTER you give them money you may want to look elsewhere.

We got a very competitive price on carpet and pad and the installation was unbelievable. A narrow stairway that made a 180 halfway up. Room looks beautiful. This is at least the second time weve worked with the Floor Store and I recommend them without reservation.

I went to The Floor Store because I grew up in the area, even though we live in Oregon City now. The people at the floor store are very friendly, yet professional. The selection of flooring and carpet is large and I was able to find what I wanted....Carpeting for our living room and hall and resilient vinyl flooring for our kitchen and entryway. I am so please with my selections. They look fabulous.The installers that The Floor Store subcontracted were very efficient. Paco made sure he understood how I wanted the flooring laid out so that I would be satisfied. They removed the old flooring and carpeting and cleaned the area before laying down the carpet pad, and leveled the entryway before placing the floor tile. They were meticulous at the final clean up as well. I am so happy. I would definitely return to them if I needed any future flooring needs.

I love supporting local businesses versus huge corporations. The Floor Store was recommended because of their customer service and knowledge of the staff. They did not disappoint. I was happy with the guidance I was given in initially selecting the carpet and the install was very easy. After one year, the carpet was showing wear on the stairs where it does get a lot of use. The carpet was high end but the manufacture did not warranty stairs. My representative Joe, made this right for us and replaced the stairs with carpet that can handle lots of traffic. I LOVE the new flooring we purchased at The Floor Store! The carpet is pet friendly, so our little wiener dog can enjoy it as much as we do. And the vinyl tile is amazing. I am in the process of putting my home up for sale and I have to tell everyone that the people there Joe, Melanie the installers Paco and Miguel have been wonderful. My install took only 1 day and has made such a difference in my home. Everyone was professional and friendly. Prices were great. Please do yourself a favor and contact them for new carpet.

The service at the floor store was exceptional. Every person i spoke with understood the product and the right product for the situation. I had vinyl plank flooring in hand same day and carpet was installed within a couple weeks of walking in their store. Also, great sense of humor!!!

From Mike Foster in sales, to estimator Robert, and Brian Phillips as the vinyl installer, it was a smooth process. I had the entire house refloored and it could not have gone better. Price was slightly higher than my other estimate but was worth it. A special thanks to Brian who did a meticulous job and cleaned up thoroughly, not to mention he is a nice guy! The Floor Store did some work in my home a few years ago, so when I needed new window coverings I went back to them, I had good customer service before and this time was just as great. I knew I wanted Graber shades and they had a representative scheduled to come out to my home in just a couple days and on my timeline. The representative was informative and helpful, I ended up choosing the Graber top down..... bottom up shades. I just had them installed today and they are gorgeous!. I was having some interior painting done so the Floor Store arranged for them to be held until the painting was complete, what great customer service. It all worked out perfectly, painting complete, windows cleaned, and beautiful window coverings installed. I definitely recommend the Floor Store for your home improvements.

I came back to The Floor Store because of the excellent products and customer service from a minor remodel 14 years ago. In spite of a couple of minor scheduling boo-boos Ill be back in 2018 to find, purchase and finish with the installation of my flooring updates.
