Fat Fancy is more than a store, its a magical experience. The selection of clothing is wonderful & the prices are extremely reasonable.Ive never been to a clothing store where I felt totally comfortable trying on everything.Erica, the owner, was warm and helpful, and was excited to help me feel fabulous.Oh, and now they have a selection of fat gifts to buy your fat friends for the holidays!!

I remember them just starting out a long time ago in a garage. Loved it. Glad to know they are close to me again and cant sit to return.

I went in looking for some dresses. Shopping is usually very disappointing. But not this time! I found two amazing dresses that looked fantastic on me! Lovely women who own/work there made the experience wonderful! I love having great days!

While visiting Portland, I was hoping to find a store with some local style that is fat-friendly. All reviews and posts pointed to Fat Fancy. We took the bus over but when we got there we were met by Erica (one of the owners) who said the shop was actually closed to rearrange and to disinfect for COVID. I was so disappointed but we chatted with Erica a bit who told us to message her for a virtual shopping visit since we are from out of state.My significant other messaged her because as it goes, finding clothing to fit my body is difficult and can be easily defeating. Erica graciously let us come by the shop the next day while she had to do a few things and be there anyway. I was nervous but decided if she was willing to give us the time, then I had to take advantage of the gesture despite my fear.I’m so thankful that we went. Erica is one of those people you gravitate towards. She’s open, giving, kind, supportive, and I couldn’t have been more comfortable. She had pulled the rack of my sizes before we arrived so it was easy for me to look. We chatted about Portland, people, and differences in our home states while I tried on a bunch of clothes. I am never optimistic that I’ll find anything but I found a LOT of things that I loved and that actually fit. Fit as in worked well with my body. I even bought a crop top that I wore, outdoors, in the wild. This is something I wouldn’t think of doing back in the rural Midwest with my body type.This is a consignment shop so prices are affordable!I truly can’t thank Erica enough for her hospitality and for the body positivity message she and the shop are able to put out. At first when we tried to go here they were closed because of new covid mandates, and store rearranging. I didnt want to miss the opportunity to check out this shop based on what I had heard about it so I reached out and contacted them via Facebook. Erica responded and she worked with us to find a time we could come in veggie we went back home from our trip. It was an amazing shop which puts our an awesome body positive message to the world. I couldnt be happier with our visit and would HIGHLY recommend that anyone who has trouble finding clothes because they are larger than most stores cater to should check it out! I also recommend that anyone who appreciate body positivity in general should follow the Facebook or Instagram page to show their support. I dont work here, or personally know anyone that does, I was just that impressed with Erica, and the overall messaging/ feel of this shop!

Great 5 star experience for my wife. Owners are great people. Awesome selection of plus size clothing.Stop wasting days going to dozens of stores and only finding a few good options when you can come here and leave with an entire wardrobe less than a couple hours.To make things even more convenient and safer during covid you can do a virtual styling session and pick out clothes in your size that you like without even leaving home.Highly recommend this place!

I always find the BEST stuff here. The clothes are great - fun, loud, practical, and staples. Bee is so welcoming and the vibe in the store is fantastic. Being able to go somewhere and shop consignment deals where sh*t actually FITS shouldn’t be this revolutionary but it totally is. If you haven’t been here - GO! Shop in person or their FB live sales. This store is Amazing!You can find clothing from a size 12 to a size 30+It is a consignment store, however you can find a few rack of one of a kind items created by local designers.Fat Fancy also offers an online QVC style shopping experience on Facebook live.I love this store, just cant say enough great things about them.(All clothing photographed came from Fat Fancy)

I used to love this place but it has suffered under Beas management. They doesnt do enough to maintain an inventory that includes a wide variety of sizes so options are very very limited if youre looking for over 3x. When I have offered ideas and suggestions of how to have a wider range of sizes, Bea has reacted very defensively and with a lot of hostility.Then I brought in a bunch of clothes (several bags of clothes) to consign and Bea lost the bulk of what I brought in (they had record of 3 pieces selling) when I came to pick it up 3 months later. I had called multiple times in the week leading up to picking up my leftover clothes so theyd have time to get them together and they still werent prepared when I came in. Then Bea couldnt explain where my clothes were. Then they said it was possible my clothes had been stolen and they werent responsible. So be very very careful if you are going to consign with them and take photos of every single item they take in. And even then theyre not responsible for lost or stolen clothes so they could still lose youre things and you have no recourse.Months later I saw an item of my lost or stolen clothes on their instagram 🙄ETA: The issue wasnt that my items werent selling but that I couldnt pick up the clothes they didnt sell. They kept them and continued selling them and I was never compensated. So TLDR they stole my clothes and kept the money they made from them.

Awesome place!! I was able to bring a suitcase of clothes in for consignment and shop for some of the cutest clothes! I came out with 6 new dresses and a skirt! Frankie was fantastic and friendly, so happy to have found this store! Everything is organized and easy to shop and try things on, cute trendy clothes!! I cant wait to come and do more shopping!

Bee and Fat Fancy are AMAHHHZING! I spent $95 and got 3 bras and 2 negligees. If you have a body like mine, you know that $95 usually gets you ONE bra. And the quality of items here at Fat Fancy is top notch. Im ecstatic!

If youre looking for a (conveniently located right next to a Dominos) plus size shop, with the most amazing owner I have ever volunteered for, this is your place! They do everything they can to keep this place running, they do Facebook live videos where you can claim some of their most fabulous fashion! Not to mention volunteering for Bee is super fun, Id super recommend it. This is your place to be if youre looking for positive, queer and awesome people!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Incredible selection, staff is super sweet and chill. Music was awesome, not a SINGLE song that wasnt a banger (SERIOUSLY). Vibe is amazing, super body positive. Prices were great - my partner and I got over a dozen items and the total still only came out to approximately $150. Love this place!

Its so refreshing to go to a plus size clothing shop and see the full gamut of sizing, from 12 through 34, with variety of styles and selection.

I always get great service here regardless of whether I just want to browse or need help finding a special item. Ive brought home some great finds in the past 6 months alone - a Chubby Cartwheels Drop Out tee, a few pairs of gloriously vibrant Gunther & Bean earrings, and some vintage Lane Bryant goodies as well as oodles of cool sunglasses. But, its not just about the clothes. From the Big is Beautiful mural to the framed 10 reasons diets dont work bullet points on the wall, Fat Fancy also invites me to like myself as I am right now, which is still a radical concept, but one which I would much prefer to embrace. Rock on, FF!

It’s very rare to find a space that’s for fat people by fat people and it’s even rarer for me to have a stress free clothes shopping experience where 99% of the clothes I try on fit me. I just found out Fat Fancy is very close to my house and I’ll definitely be back!

This is just a review for their live shopping feed.... I really wanted to love this place so much but its just been disappointment from the start. Im new to the Portland area and have been looking for a place to shop that caters to my curvy needs. When I found them online I was so excited to start shopping there and making it my go-to place to go shopping. I was even more excited knowing that I could consign some of the clothes that no longer fit me, too!They posted up that they were doing a Facebook live feed and showed a preview on Instagram of some of the items they were selling. There was one particular item I immediately fell in love with, it was something Ive been in search of for a few months now. So I messaged them about it... was ignored. And I was okay with that, I thought I would just wait until the live feed to jump on the item. I waited about 30 minutes for it to pop up (found some really great items along the way that I was able to successfully claim). Alas, the wonderful velvet kimono came up and I immediately put my name down for it within seconds of them showing it. I was so excited to see that my name showed up first......Jump to the next day, I get my invoice, but the kimono was missing. So I emailed the company..... ignored again. Now its starting to get a little irritating. Then I message them on Instagram, and instead of being nice about not being first (which I was) they messaged me I can send you a screen shot you were not first then sent me a screenshot. I took a screenshot of the comments and sure enough there were two places (on the video and the comments of the video) I was shown as the first person to claim it. I sent them solid proof that I was the first one to claim it. So of course, I send it over.... ignored once again.I was so disappointed with how things were handled. I really wanted to love this place, I really did. I loved that they were a diverse and inclusive company... but during my entire shopping experience, I felt ignored and brushed off.So my search for a wonderful, plus size store in Portland will continue once again. Its such a shame because I really wanted to start shopping and consigning with you all, too. I hope that this is a one-off situation and that this doesnt happen with other shoppers.

Its so nice to have a shop like this that carries such a variety of sizes, especially for 5x-6x and beyond.

Didnt get a chance to check out the shop. The owner or manager had a problem with me looking at clothes that in her opinion were too big for me When I started looking at clothes she tried to direct me to the clothes for smaller people section. I told her that I like to wear big clothes too. She replied, Well, we like to encourage people to wear clothes that fit them. To me that its another form of body shaming. I should be able to wear and buy whatever fashions I want without being judged on my body type. I left immediately because I was really offended.

Cute store for plus size femmes to find clothes. Seems to be mostly (if not all) used clothes - I think its a consignment store . They have a small selection of fat positive books/zines and chachkis as well.
