So good! Went here because my house guest is allergic to soy. Called ahead to make sure they had soy free options, and they sure do! We got cinnamon rolls, a rosemary biscuit, and a hazelnut Swiss roll. What a great place— a gem you might say. I could barely tell the cinnamon rolls were also gluten free.

What a treasure to find in Portland. Finding gluten free food that isnt in some way comprised can be challenging. Ive never had such amazing gluten free baked goods. Scones, muffins, coffee cake, etc... Everything tastes amazing here. Highly recommended if you want to try gluten free or by necessity need to be gluten free.

I must say, usually everything here is absolutely delicious, and I’m not one to go out of my way to leave a review, but the muffin I had today was absolutely disgusting. I’m not quite sure why there was seemed to be orange pulp in a gingerbread muffin, but when I bit into it and was greeting by the unpleasant texture of what I thought would be a delicious muffin.Maybe it was a bad batch, maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be and I’m just not in the know, but I literally had to spit it out. I still have PULP in my teeth from the 1 small bite I took. I do not recommend the gingerbread muffin. Everything else has been great though!

Im dont have a gluten problem, but I have friends who are. This is my go to place for bakery items for them. I always get me some, too. They are great! Also, try their milk- free and/or sugar-free items. All great!

Gluten Free Gem is just the most amazing establishment!!! The staff is absolutely wonderful and are always so kind and make you feel so welcome! Hands down the BEST place to eat in Portland! Their quiches are soooooo good especially their goat cheese one OMG!!!My mom bought me a gift card here because she knows how much I love their food and how hard it is to find safe places for me to eat having celiac disease. I’ve tried different gluten free bakery’s in the area and I will tell you this place is LEAGUES above everywhere I’ve ever been!!! You would never be able to tell it was gluten free with how moist and flavorful those cupcakes are!!! I ended up having my whole email wiped and I couldn’t find my gift card through them. Justin their manager was so amazing and took the time and went above and beyond to find it for me in their system. Just the absolute best experience every time, you guys absolutely ROCK!!!

I LOVE Gluten Free Gem and pretty much swear by it as someone who maintains a strict gluten free diet but loves baked goods and desserts. There are a few great gluten free bakeries around town but I have to say that Gem is the best when it comes to desserts.It was an easy decision for me to choose them to make my wedding cake/cupcakes! I didn’t mention to my guests that the cakes were gluten free but they loved them and thought they were of the glutenous kind 😉 until I told them otherwise. They were all really impressed 😊 not to mention, the team was so accommodating and easy to work with on creating our cake design.Highly recommend to everyone!

My son and I both have celiac disease and I’m allergic to soy. He has never had a soft pretzel before and just had his first one from this bakery! It was amazing. We also got the pumpkin Swiss roll - the cake was so soft, fluffy, and delicate and perfectly balanced. I could not tell it was gluten free. I wish we were in town longer so we could try more things!

So! Good! Everything I’ve tried is excellent. My mom & aunt (who is not gf) recently tried the vegan apple Swiss roll and both thought it’s one of the best baked goods they’ve ever had. The cupcakes are super yummy, though so dry out a bit so best to eat day of! I have some cinnamon rolls in the freezer and am very much looking forward to eating them 😋

I was visiting from out of state, so this was one of my first experiences at an all gluten free bakery and it did not disappoint! They had so many amazing choices I couldnt help but try a bunch of them. The staff member who helped me was super nice and even took the time to give me some other gluten free restaurant recommendations! Really outstanding.

We recently found out my 8 year old has Celiac. With her birthday around the corner we ordered a cake from Gluten Free Gem not knowing how it would taste!! The cake was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Wow, I’m afraid there just aren’t words to express how truly impressed I am with this place and how happy I am that I found it!This year I developed some health issues and I now cant eat gluten and dairy. I pretty much felt like I was gonna be doomed to eating weird, bland, cardboard tasing foods the rest of my life. But nope, not even close! This place isn’t just “good for gluten free food”, it’s seriously amazing and you would never know it was any different than any other amazing bakery. I don’t know what kind of wizardry goes on in their kitchen to make their desserts taste so good, but holy cow... I’m so glad they do it! I order their cakes for our families birthdays and other celebrations and nobody can believe it’s gluten free/dairy free, they wouldn’t know if I didn’t tell them. Ive ordered a lot of different treats here and everything has been excellent. We had the cheesecake with the raspberry jam on top last night and it’s honestly the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. You won’t be disappointed!

Oh my god their pastries are so good! I got some sort of chocolate layer/mouse cake, marionberry cheesecake, smores bars, and two cupcakes for a wine gathering I was having with friends. They were all gluten free and vegan! Price wise it wasnt bad at all. Justin helped me. He was so kind and helpful. Ill definitely be coming back.

This place was great! The gluten free options they have are amazing! It’s moist and as close to tasting like non gluten free options but better. The chocolate donut was killer. I recommend anyone at least buy one when you come in. I had the Broccoli and cheese quiche. And it was amazing! They have a changing table for infants in the bathroom. Small sized may fit like 35 people max. Customer service was a bit slow but worth it.

Ordered a wonderful cake for a birthday, it exceeded my expectations. Usually with other gf cakes, theyre dry and crumble very quickly. This cake was perfect! It was moist, had plenty of filling, and exactly what I asked for.

My wife and I went here for our wedding cake because she and her mom have gluten and dairy sensitivity. They delivered a cake that tasted fine but the top tier of our 2- tier cake was smashed when they crammed it into a too-small box for transit. Use caution when ordering here.

Wow! The most delicious vegan/gluten free donuts I have ever tried. They have two options (one is vanilla something and the other is like pink sprinkle donut). Both are incredible! They also have vegan/gf carrot cake which is amazing as well. Lots of other options not mentioned for people with allergies/sensitivities or fad diet seekers. I also tried the lavender latte and it was very tasty! Totally worth the price!

Absolutely one of the best gluten-free bakeries Ive ever been to, anywhere. The staff is extremely aware of potential allergy issues, and very helpful and welcoming.Gluten-free baked goods are often overly sweet, but this bakerys products have just the right amount of sweetness and fluffiness. The cinnamon bun is amazing, light and fluffy with perfect gooey icing. The donuts are so great, especially the cinnamon sugar ones. The coffees great too.

Muffins and coffee cakes are moist, light, and full of flavor! On a personal preference, donuts were too cakey for my liking however they were still well made and had a variety of options.

Best Gluten Free pastries I have had in a while! I got a cranberry orange muffin and a parmesan pinwheel! Yum! Classic Portland cafe where you bus your own table but the place was super clean and tidy! Highly recommend! Will for sure return! There is parking on the street right in front.

Soooo good! Will definitely be back. I find that most GF bakeries overcompensate with a ton of sugar in their baked goods, but not the case here. Perfect amount of sweet, great texture, and delicious! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of other allergens.

Went with a few friends (one of whom has celiac disease) and we ALL loved it! Truly delicious pastries and I usually have lots of gluten in my life :) The lemon poppyseed loaf was amazing! Best part: such a relief for those who are GF since the entire store is free of gluten making it actually safe for those with allergies. Bring your GF friend here and you’ll be their new BFF! What a hidden find! So glad others’ reviews pointed us in this direction. Also a nice covid-conscious setup with ordering at the door. Only disappointment: no almond milk. Awesome staff. Great food. Their gluten free chocolate glazed donut was the best Ive had. They have tons of allergen friendly options. They do have nuts, but they have dairy free and vegan gluten free options. Havent had anything that tastes bad.

I visited Gluten Free Gem to brighten up a difficult week and had a gluten free cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting that was absolutely delicious! I had a beetroot and ginger tea latte which was yummy as well. Highly recommend visiting this place!

It was a bit of a walk from the convention center, but totally worth it. As the name suggests, the entire restaurant is gluten free. They mostly have baked goods with quiche as the only meal type item. The variety of baked goods was amazing from donuts to pretzels to cake to cheesecake to muffins. They also serve a nice selection of coffee and tea. I would highly recommend this place even if youre not in need of gluten free food.

This place is amazing!!!!!! I am from Michigan and was here for Thanksgiving with close family. We ordered their biscuits and their pumpkin roll and we were more than impressed. I have been celiac for over two years now and I have been desperately deprived of desserts and flakey biscuits. The pumpkin roll is the most decadent, delicious cake I have EVER had. My family members who are non-celiac even loved it!!! The biscuits were phenomenal as well. I cannot say enough great things about this bakery. EXTREME RECOMMEND! :)

I have always been skeptical of gluten-free being able to really be all that good. However, when one of my co-workers brought me some double chocolate cookies from this Bakery I was blown away. Definitely the best cookies Ive ever had, let alone gluten-free cookies. Ive gone there several times since and the goods have always been delicious and the staff is very nice and helpful.

Vegan Black pepper rosemary biscuit is my go to! Not all great bakery items have to be sweet, I remind myself.

The service excellent, theres good variety, but if Im honest, the cupcakes are a bit heavy cake wise. The frosting is nice, just the cake needs to be lighter.

I have enjoyed their products that I have purchased from New Seasons, so I was excited to see the shop in the area where I go to train. I stopped in today and ordered some things to go for friends and I decided to have breakfast since I saw quiches and coffee. It was so tasty! All of the cupcakes, donuts, scones, and cakes are so pretty, and I know they taste amazing! Being gluten free is not not a sad thing here.

This place was so amazing and professional! They helped us make a Halloween wedding cake for our wedding this month and did an amazing job! They were very responsive and kept us informed all up to the pickup date. Our guests didn’t even know it was gluten free and loved the taste! I’ve been on an elimination diet for the past 7 months and this is the only place I can actually get treats. Every time I eat a treat here I have to convince myself everything is going to turn out okay food sensitivity wise and it always does. This place makes life allergy/food sensitivity life so much easier. They are expensive, but it’s worth the extra money and not having to make anything myself. I just purchased 12 cinnamon rolls for quite a lot of money and I would do it again, and again without hesitation.

Such a great bakery. I’ve been vegan for many years and recently become gluten free. It is easy to determine what is vegan because they use color coding to separate the vegan and no vegan items. You can also find their goodies around town with the same color coding and yummy goodnessz

I wanted the cinnamon roll but it was sold out, which is always a good sign. I decided to get the Nutty roll because they said it was the same bread. The nutty roll was dry, crumbly and not very flavorful. I threw most of it away, as it wasn’t even worth eating. The staff were nice enough, but certainly not friendly. I also so far, also tried a maple doughnut, and it was better than the Nutty roll, but nothing to write home about. There are many other gluten-free bakeries and restaurants that I would go to over this place. Super disappointed, considering I spent $25 on pastries. Hopefully buying treats here for my flight home won’t be a disappointment... I will say, the bathroom was very clean!

Found this place on our way through Portland. Best scone I’ve had. We also got some coffee cake and donuts to go. Everything was so good. Plan on stopping in whenever we’re in Portland.

GF baked goods were delicious. My favorite was the cinnamon roll, very gooey! Convenient location with street parking just off I-5. My only wish is that they were open later than 5 on weekdays so I could stop by more often.

Being gluten free, the one thing I miss the most is pretzels. This place offers an incredible gluten free pretzel along with many other amazing gluten free choices. This place caters to all of my food intolerances and it is simply delicious, enough said.

My go-to for gluten-free baked goods of all varieties. I also love that they sell their pie crust separately if you want to make a pie with your own filling. Be sure to try their coffee and teas - their mocha is a perfect balance of coffee and chocolate.

The pie was delicious, however not available on the menu as the website stated. I made special trips to the bakery twice and was turned down for pie both times. When I called to order one for the following evening, I was told it wasnt possible to make a pie in 36 hours. I will find a new gluten free bakery that represents their products and availability more accurately.
