They took out their Pepsi fountain machine and have not replaced it so you will not get a fountain drink here. For over three weeks their restroom has been out of order. They seem to cater to the alcoholic and drinkers of wine as well. Their cigarettes are priced higher than most places I go to as well. Some of the employees it is nice to see in the morning when I get my coffee.
Good, and friendly staff. I go get snacks here for work and they are always nice. They also offered to pump my tire for me when I needed gas, which was very nice! Good people working here.
I come here all the time. Never been harassed about no mask. Until this Karen tells me she wont sell a father with his child some food. Turns away paying customers...
It may not be as clean or shiny as some truck stop in Beavertron but the tough hardworking folks at this last stop out of town are critical to keeping this town running. People have no idea how busy or how important this station is.Its probably the most expensive gas in the city. But if youre low before you get to the pass youll be glad its there. As much as it is part of the human tapestry of Portland it is a way station for travelers through the Burnside pass. A last stop before you leave civilization. The corner store. As Jane Jacobs points out the 24 hour corner store is a necessary ingredient for a functioning neighborhood. Craft beer. Snacks. Cat food. Smokes. Lotto tix. Its your luxurious 24 hour vending machine ready to sate your thirsts at any hour of the day.Moon Pies. What a time to be alive. Finally and most importantly it has fallen to the gas station attendants and store clerks to fill a gap in our social net; dealing with people on the fringe late at night. They are the working heroes of Portland and I applaud them. They were heroes before covid and now they are legends. Nobody deals with more of Portlands weird than these folks.Mostly you will find the corner store wonderful mix of Portlands characters.
The people that work that store have had to put up with because we all think were right when nobody ends up right.
This store really needs to have some official look into. my card was not returned to me when shopping. Later when we return to ask about it the attendant assured me they did not have it and I called another time and he said out of the stack of cards that he had mine was not in there so? Idk Be sure to get your card back
The gas attendant here lol 😆 screams at us to not punch the card info in, fine. Then he gets over to us and scolds everyone in the vehicle. Turns out he forgot to start the pump as he walks away all cocky. Stay away from this one if you want to be treated with any respect at all.
Great place 👌
Gas is way overpriced at this station compared to other stations in the Portland area.
Got threatened to be kicked out when I was asking to contract the manager about broken merchandise being knowingly sold and then not allowed to be traded in or refunded. I was being respectful and calm but was treated like I was yelling at someone. Stop knowingly selling broken merchandise and maybe customers wont ask about doing returns.
Wine and dine at any hour of time.A free freakshow in the lineup past nine.
My experience at the St. Clair Chevron was absolutely uncalled for and really horrible. I had made a purchase of a king size candy bar at the 82nd and Stark location (and kudos for the clerk at the 82nd and Stark location) prior to coming into the St. Clair location and had forgotten about that purchase when I walked into the store. I walked towards the beverages and never diverted from my path and went up to the counter to pay for 2 beverages. The clerk who worked that night was extremely rude to me and accused me of stealing the candy bar. I told him I already paid for it and he said he was going to call the cops so I said go ahead and instead he refused to let me make my purchase and kicked me out of the store. I would like to think that it was videotaped that I didnt strayed from my path towards the drinks. The store clerk should be fired in my opinion because thats not how you treat customers and his attitude really stinks. I would also like to say that I called to speak to the manager and the person on the phone was also rude. So I wasnt able to get my complaint dealt with. I dont recommend this location because of very rude employees. Though not all of them are rude but most are. If you dont like working with the public then you need to find a different job. I also wouldnt recommend coming here iunless its a last resort especially during the grave shift!
As a lady lyft driver, this is one of the only safe bathrooms to use in downtown and now I’m being turned away for needing to use it. I won’t spend my money if I can’t pee.
Expensive gas and lack of service. If Im paying cash and want change I have to walk into the store myself.
Horrible customer service!!! DO NOT GET GAS HERE!! Waited several minutes for the attendant to pump my gas, he ignored me, served several other cars that arrived after I did, and rudely refused me gas after I tried getting his attention. He told me to leave so I had to get gas elsewhere and ended up being late for work. Called later to speak with the manager and she was extremely unhelpful and treated me like I was an inconvenience. I’ll never get gas at any Chevron ever again.
Great crew at the Chevron station on W. Burnside & SW St. Clair. They always have treats for my dog.
The person who answered the phone was rude, gave me no information, and then hung up. Great service = 5 stars. No service and a bad attitude = you deserve less than 1 star.
ATTENTION EVERYONE!Always check your receipts! This particular business charges more than the advertised price. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB and the owners response? This guy is mentally unbalanced, dont contact me anymore about this customer The staff however, is very friendly.ALWAYS check your receipts, please. This has got to stop.
The service is ok but so expensive!!
You have a Easy job and you still cant do it. Never going back to this place.never put my Gas cap back on so I have buy a new one!!
Visited them out of desperation on 10/8/18 @ 4:05-4:10pm. After hearing the nozzle pop to indicate the tank was full, the attendant continues to pump more fuel into the car. Does he and the station not understand that topping off the tank is (1) illegal in Oregon & (2) not good for the car?!? Never going back...if I do, Ill stand next to the nozzle. When a station tops off a tank, they are stealing from you.
Has a decently clean store, but gas prices at this particular station are definitely among the highest in the city, this is one of the few gas stations I know to avoid because of its consistently and significantly higher gas prices.
Out of all the gas stations in Portland this one is my favorite. I like the workers, like the atmosphere, and theres usually proper customers. However I dont like it when bums and vagrants and drug addicts come walking in the store and bringing their tweaker status with them. Sketches me out, all those people are thieves and robbers. But its not bad like plaid pantry on Jefferson by Safeway downtown. I wont go there anymore. Tip to staff: if u want 5 stars reviews keep all the drug addicts off ur property and keep tweakers and thieves far away from your customers !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I go here almost every day, the night staff is amazing and polite.
Not the best place to pump gas
Always check and keep your receive because they will charge you more money later.
The prices are very high, being in the city, but it is nice having the store nearby.
This is the closest mini-mart to where I live. One of the guys who works here is really rude and seems to get mad everytime I buy something because im making him do his job? Id rather go to the convenient store up near Cinema 21 but sometimes for the convenience Ill just go here and make this guys job hell by buying 2 things that take 5 seconds to ring up. Sidenote, I would NEVER buy gas here it is the most ridiculously expensive gas in town.
The mini mart inside is always so clean!
Great service at this Chevron. Quite a bit pricier than its Wilsonville counterpart (+.40), but it is smack on Burnside.
Very bad attitudes towards customers.
The guy that works at night is very rude to the customers i will never visit this store again i was a paying customer and he treated me like i was such a inconvenience sorry you had to actually work for once if i could give this place negative stars i would
Ive been threatened by the employee with pepperspray both inside and outside the store, I and sprayed with freezing water because I have rheumatoid arthritis...
Nice cashier
Prime location right of Burnside. However, it turns into a mess of cars around 5pm because of their limited number of pumps and space.
Was rude to me for purchase 99 Cent water
$3.60 for regular!!! It’s $2.99 in Gresham!!
Nice bathrooms
Always at least 10 cents a gallon more than anywhere else
Great service
Bad
