Plenty of tools, thread, and hardware to get you started or complete whatever you dream up. Some good seasonal sales as well!

While the shop seemed to be well stocked, it seemed that the discussion of weapon crafts and zombie apocalypse was more important that the two customers who were clearly wanting to do husiness and put money into the till. My wife and I are just starting up a crafting business and were scouting local vendors. The fact that the customer went unacknowledged was quite off-putting. We put our product back and left. Perhaps another day we will try them again when we do not have to compete with chatting.Revision after another try:We gave the shop another shot. I am glad that we did as we had a much better experience. There was more staff on hand. We were welcomed inside and allowed to wander a bit before being checked on. The timing was perfect thus avoiding that hovering feeling. We explained what we were wanting to do and got skilled guidance in the products that we needed to use to beat the project.Now the ball is in my court, but I am sure that we have a local leatherworking goods vendor to lean on.

I just had a PHENOMENAL experience on my first visit to Tandy Leather! Spencer was SO kind and so helpful. I came before an errand I had to run, and then came back after because the encouragement I got was enough to push me to get the rest of the supplies I needed. I wasnt sold on anything I didnt need, but encouraged to get helpful supplies and given recommendations on quality but affordable products. I came away from my visit feeling confident I could start the hobby Ive been dreaming about for months. I left with helpful, necessary supplies and a few fun things (glow in the dark thread??? YES please!). Im really looking forward to getting the hang of this, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back! Thanks for all of the help!

They wont let me use the bathroom. They said it was CDC say I cant use their bathroom....the CDC doesnt have that rule.

I’ve been visiting Tandy leather for years. YEARS! As a small business owner who really ramps up during holiday times, this place is a lifesaver.I’d say, about a year ago? Logan joined the staff here, and he’s provided BEYOND amazing customer service. I even get calls randomly when something unique comes in that he knows I’ll probably love.I don’t want to neglect the rest of the staff, as they’re all incredibly helpful and kind as well.Above and beyond - when it comes to customer service - goes a long way. Ive been buying at Portland Tandy for 3 years. Ive worked with 9 employees here throughout that time and everyone of them have been very helpful. The difference is, each one of them are leather workers as well, committed to their craft and interested in passing on their knowledge to you. Fully stocked store, including hides, skins, tools, hardware and accessories. Staff is friendly and super knowledgeable. They also have classes on site. The BEST part is they are around the corner from Costco, so it is VERY convenient to visit them. Also, plenty of parking.

I have always been treated well here. Ive been going since about 2008 and I have no complaints. I have seen staff members come and go, but the store remains friendly, attentive and well stocked. Got a question? Just ask and you can get insightful answers. Tandy Leather Factory should be very proud of this location.

Pretty small and unassuming place - but had absolutely everything I was looking for in terms of both materials and tools. Staff size is small, but if youre willing to wait a little, they are incredibly friendly and super helpful. I had one employee spend almost 30 minutes helping me with a project. Great store.

Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They set me right up with military/veterans status. Awesome new program that any veteran or anyone in active military service who has an interest in leathercraft should check out. And I love that I can drive right up to the store and park my truck just feet from the door.

Although the store is a bit hard to get to and find, once youre there its everything youd expect from a Tandy store. Helpful staff, full range of buckles, tools, leathers, straps, lacing, etc. You name it, theyve got it. I havent taken a class there yet, but they seemed to offer a lot of them.

They are always helpful. Knowledgeable about multiple crafts and purposes.

This is without a doubt the go to place for all my leather working needs! I always love to come to this store as the service is good and they have every tool or cut of leather you could think of.

Poor customer service

They always help me or teach me something new. The layout of the inventory is confusing, in numerical order by part #. They also dont carry deep violet or forest green leather. Thats the only thing I cant get here.
