Wow! Great salesman. Great company, selling high quality scooters. The whole process went smoothly. I chose the Titanium colored Genuine Buddy. After arriving home I had a question about the scooter. Called and received a quick, courteous answer. Love the scooter and plan on returning to Vespa Portland for my future needs. Thanks.
I was really impressed with everyone at Vespa! I only encountered friendly and knowledgeable employees, all who took the time to help me get the perfect scooter. They are patient and kind and willing to answer any questions. I am so happy I decided to purchase my first bike from them!
Made it very easy to purchase! Very knowledgeable about all their products and all different types of scooters. I had never ridden a scooter before and they made me very comfortable for my test drive and purchasing! I got the NIU M+Sport, love that little scoot.
Thanks to the guys at Vespa Portland and especially Danny. For me, sizing was of utmost importance and safety. The opportunity to test-drive and then your patient assistance in answering questions was very appreciated. I love my Buddy 50 and feel safe and equipped to travel Portland. Thanks for all the safety tips and your advice for proper helmet fitting and outerwear. Less than a week into ownership more than 60 miles (ca. 97 km) around town and feeling happy.
This place is fantastic. Instantly when you walk in the doors to Vespa Portland, you are greeted by name! All the staff at the shop just want to help out. Never upset with VP’s customer service!
I had such a blast at Vespa Portland! Nathan took great care of us and was very responsive and excited for us while we were picking up our new ride. From teaching us about the bike to loading it in the back of the truck he did it all.I just wish the building had air conditioning because it was really hot in there, but that didn’t detract from the excellent service at all.
Seriously bristle at auto sales but no bristle here. Andrew approached us, introduced himself and from there he assessed the best options for us - 5ft woman wanting a moped. Quick to the facts, fun to work with, and thorough. Understood his products extremely well.
My wife and I drove 3.5 hours to visit Vespa Portland. Nathan helped us and he was amazing. The ideal sales advisor! He knew his scoots, he knew what he had, he knew everything. He made my wife feel comfortable! My wife now knows she absolutely wants a Vespa, and we are going to buy from Nathan at Vespa Portland!
Staff was knowledgeable and super nice. By the time we left we knew how everything worked and felt confident in our purchase. Great folks, great service.
I bought a Genuine Buddy Kick from Vespa Portland, and the experience was all-around amazing. Nathan helped me when I went to look and walked me through both the Buddy 150 (which is what I’d been planning to get) and Buddy Kick models pretty thoroughly. I had my male partner with me but Nathan was definitely talking to me the whole time, even when I asked my partner for input - should be a given but, since it isn’t for many car salesmen, I definitely noticed and appreciated it. While I did end up getting the slightly more expensive model, I didn’t at all feel like he was trying to upsell me or like it would’ve been a problem if I’d decided to stick with the cheaper model.Nathen kept in touch over email and text while checking color availability and while my scooter was in transit. Everybody there was super kind and excited for me when I picked up my scooter, and they helped get it loaded up and strapped down on the not-quite-right-sized motorcycle rack (and then, when the scooter started tipping over when we drove away, texted me frantically and two of them came running across the street to help us figure out how to stabilize it). They even sent me away with a list of riding groups and fun solo rides in the area. I genuinely feel like I’ve joined a community, not just bought a scooter.
You can go elsewhere, sure, but you’ll never get the level of care and service the crew at Vespa Portland. I have been using them for years when I bought my first Buddy. When I moved away, I got a terrible service job that when I came back they took great care in fixing. Tom was awesome dealing with that! That bike was stolen recently and when I came in to get a replacement Katy took so much time to go over my options. We spent most of the day dealing with financing, but in the end I left with a gorgeous vespa I’m super in love with. Andrew did a great job getting me road ready. I will be a loyal Portland vespa customer.
Friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and all around great service from the folks at Vespa Portland. Best place in town to get a new Vespa, ask for tips on great local rides, or get your scoot serviced.
Wonderful, helpful staff who really know and understand their product. We had to buy our scooters from out of state and they handled everything no problem at all. They answered a million emails/questions prior to the final purchase, and were very patient with us. I wouldnt shop anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest.
Good vibes, great communication, and genuinely fun to do business with. Theyll take great care of you.
Took my wifes Vespa here for service after it had been sitting on the side of the house for 6 years. They got it running beautifully in a couple days for a reasonable price. Staff is super friendly and helpful, customer 4-life. Love this shop.
Vespa Portland is the BEST! I fired up my 150 scooter for the season and it sounded pretty rough. I called Vespa Portland and they were able to come and pick up my scooty to have a look. They did a very thorough job checking everything out and fixing it up like new. They were very thoughtful of my budget and my safety! I will definitely be back for service and maybe a shinny new scooter one day!
Vespa Portland is absolutely the best, awesome service and sales. Always stoked to go in!
Down to earth staff, gave me all the facts and lowdown on maintenance, financing, tips, and made sure there were no surprises. Our dealer, Danny, was super patient at answering all my questions in person and over the phone. He even texted me a photo of the title so I could insure the scooter online on my own at home before coming in the next day to make the purchase and drive home. You can tell they really care that youre getting what you want, and they are not pushy at all. The showroom was really chill and great for checking out the all the scooters and colors and styles in person. Couldnt be happier with my new Vespa!! 🛵
Thank you Matt and Andrew and Tom for helping get my buddy running safe again. See you next time. ( :
Very sweet and helpful staff that helped my husband get his new scooter after his car was totaled. Was in and out within a hour and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our NIU !
I keep throwing unusual projects at them and they always come through for me. I’m going to send them a bouquet of flowers and name my next kid AndrewTomJPMatt.
Recently dropped into Vespa Portland to get parts for my 2005 Vespa PX 150, and see about other parts for vintage Vespas. Matthew in parts is very knowledgeable and goes way above and beyond, ensuring I get the parts I need. Even if they didnt have the parts in stock, Matthew would research and locate them for me special order. Ive also chatted with Tom in service. He is very friendly and knowledgable as well. Katy at the front desk is also very friendly and professional. She can help if youre thinking about buying a new scooter. I highly recommend Vespa Portland if you need parts, service or buying a new Vespa, as they have plenty of them on display and friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist you. Will definitely patronize again!
The experience at Vespa Portland was NOTHING like buying a car. From my first email inquiry to driving away with my new GTS 300 in Rosso Draco, Ive never had such excellent customer service and lack of sales pressure, ever.Knowledgeable, helpful, super friendly, thorough, and honestly, never pushy, if youve ever considered even learning about a scooter, I cannot recommend Vespa Portland highly enough. As for my new Vespa, riding it was better than Id hoped for! Smooth, stable, zippy, and so much fun!!
Great friendly service!!!! Loving my new purchase from Vespa Portland😉
Im currently looking for a moped so I reached out to Vespa Portland. Andrew got back to me promptly, within the next day or two. He was super friendly and gave me a lot of really helpful and impartial info on a few different models. He gave me more confidence with the ability to make more informed decisions about the mopeds we spoke about. Id definitely recommend doing business with Vespa Portland to anyone just based off of the AMAZING customer service.
They are so so so friendly and very helpful. Not much else to say.
Great staff, helpful and friendly.
Went back to pick up my scooter and they were just as nice as when I stopped it off... They are really great to work with.. Thank you Vespa Portland for repairing my buddy at a reasonable cost.
Havent been in the shop yet, but working with the friendly staff over the phone and email has been such a dream. Professional, knowledgable, and accommodating. Recommend working with Katy
What an amazing group of people! Id just bought a beautiful blue sprint from them, and in a week it was stolen from me. Andrew and the team reached out to as many people as they could and within two days someone found it on a sidewalk (thankfully undamaged, just out of gas). I candidly wish this team would sell cars because the experience certainly would flip the stigma of the stressful car buying rigamarole. (I sold Porsches for some time).Honest people and an amazing team.
I live in Reno NV and wanted to purchase a Gear Up. I researched Ural dealers and found Ural of Portland to be highly recommended. I phoned them and Danny helped me out with ordering my bike. It was built in Russia, shipped out on time and promptly assembled in Portland. All on the promised time frame! I had it shipped to me here in Reno with their recommended shipping provider. The whole process couldn’t have gone more smoothly! Thank you Danny and the whole crew at UP. Communication was prompt and professional, plus they’re a great group of guys to chat with! I can highly recommend UP for any of your Ural needs/desires!
I recently acquired a 2009 Piaggio MP3 500 from a private party and soon discovered it needed maintenance. Since I have never had any experience with Scooters or Scooter repairs, I started looking for reviews. I discovered there were three scooter shops in Portland, all getting good reviews. However, Vespa of Portland seemed to get the highest praise for service. Since they are the dealer for Piaggio (made by Vespa) I figured they had factory trained mechanics.I called to make an appointment but was surprised when my call went to voice mail. Much to my delight, Tom called me back in less than an hour and was able to help me. I explained the problem with my scooter and he was able to diagnose it over the phone and even give an estimate. When I went in to pick up my scooter, Tom charged me within a few dollars of his estimate. He also said there was a blown fuse that had to be replaced and that it was in a very hard to reach area. It took the mechanic two hours to replace the fuse but Tom only charged me for a half hour. All in all, Tom and Vespa of Portland rendered excellent service and even exceeded my expectations. I can highly recommend Vespa of Portland for service.
The staff was super helpful. I need a bike lower to the ground and the salesman swapped out a part to accommodate my needs, without batting an eye. Pretty good selection right now.
Good people from the front to back
These guys are the best. Every experience I have had with this shop has been nothing short of amazing. From sizing/buying my first helmet to finally buying a scooter of my own, everyone at the shop was super approachable and knew their stuff inside and out. And they just want you to be happy and out riding. Really glad to be in with this community of scooter enthusiasts.
I had a wonderful experience working with Katy getting a Vespa for a family member as a gift. Very professional and friendly store. Highly recommended! Ask for Katy when you go in!
Ive been a bicycle commuter for a couple years and have been interested in upgrading to something more since the summer. A 50cc scooter fit the bill perfectly: great gas mileage, worse than a bike but still environmentally friendly compared to even a small car, small insurance cost, and no motorcycle endorsement needed. Andrew, Danny and everyone at Vespa Portland were fantastic and helped with every step without being overbearing in a salesperson way. After a week of riding my new scooter, I couldnt be happier. I look forward to the relationship with Vespa Portland going forward with all my scooter needs.
I want one now.
I recently purchased a new 2020 GTS Super and I have to say, this was the smoothest buying experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. The staff at Vespa Portland are friendly and knowledgeable, even with the most simple of questions (how does this thing start? 😂). I also bought some customized pieces to create my own style, and that was just as easy, with staff help choosing from all the options available. Thanks, VP for the VIP treatment.
Friendly and experienced staff that took plenty of time to answer many questions. They never pressured me to buy anything. I have not had experience with their service dept so I cant give 5 stars just yet.
Amazing people ready and willing to help you get the bike you want.Great staff, good community vibes, fair pricing, very knowledgeable and always ready to teach you something new.
Parts dude is cool
The team at Vespa Portland is outstanding! I had my scooter serviced (way overdue) and it is purring along better than brand new! These guys know really what they are doing when it comes to working on Vespas. I would recommend the shop for sales, service, and friendly advice. To Tom, Danny and all at Vespa Portland: THANK YOU!
I originally was shopping for a new Vespa because mine barley ran, hard to start and capped out at 20MPH. Its an older, 2006 LX 50. They did a Ultrasonic Carb Overhaul and when I drove it away it was like I bought a new scooter. It has not run this well in 5+ years. Additionally the invoice included tips on older carburetor issues and how to avoid them. This place is honest and pricing is reasonable. They had every chance to sell me a new one but their service department may have postponed the sale, at least for now.
I bought my first ever scooter from Vespa Portland yesterday and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a scooter. Danny and Nathan were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process. As someone who had never previously owned a vehicle I really appreciated their guidance and patience.
Had the greatest experience with Andrew and the rest, took care of Vespa quickly, cost effective and ready to get back on the road. They went above and beyond and helped us get home. Highly recommend - great service.
Touring USA on my Vespa and in need of a service, I turned up here mid day on a Saturday to make an appointment. Despite being fully booked for the following 8 days, they decided to let me jump the line and by closing time (6pm) my bike was fully serviced and ready to continue my adventure! On my travels, I had service done at numerous places across the country, but these guys are the best of the best. Professional at their work and customer friendly. Thanks, Tom and your mechanics. Ill be back for sure!
If youre looking to buy a Vespa, absolutely come here! The staff is amazing :) Danny helped me pick mine out and was super helpful with everything! Really excited about my new Vespa!!
Absolutely best Vespa dealership Ive ever been to. Andrew was super helpful and was able to dig out a dragon red top case for my GTS. Everyone at the dealership was super helpful and friendly, they even help me screw on the backrest and bubble wrap the case for safe transportation. If you want a Vespa go see these guys. Utterly utterly amazing. Well done gents! Well done !
Walked in to check this place out. Very relaxed staff with the knowledge to answer any questions I threw out. Great selection and they were willing to work with me to find anything I needed. Such a relief to find a business where I can comfortably become a regular.Enjoying the great MPG!!
Hands down the best moped dealership in Portland. After having dealt with a lot of back and fourth with my credit union that eventually denied my request, Nate and Danny helped me get financed and got me on the road in one day. After they hooked me up with a helmet, rear rack, and derestriction of my 50 cc Buddy free of charge for the trouble. I dont think Id have gotten that from any of the other dealerships in the area, not to mention the models they offer are some of the best quality mopeds around.
I got my first brand new scooter in March, from the Vespa Portland shop. I expected them to be pushy, just trying to get a sale. what I experienced was the opposite, they were so laid back and chill. Andrew was the one who was working with me, and he loved answering all my questions. I recently had to have some work done, and not only did they fix my scooter, it was super fast. I was impressed and overjoyed. Ive gone on a few group scoots with the guys from the Vespa Shop and its been a blast every time. Go on in and check them out, maybe get yourself a fresh scoot.
Have a decent amount of products to check out and service is great
Id been researching scooters for years and finally made the decision to buy one in Spring. These guys made the whole experience really easy and enjoyable. I shouldve gotten a scooter a long time ago! Best decision ever! Great shop and great guys.
My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of being helped by one of the owners, Maggie. She was an absolute delight! Although I had some financing issues she was incredibly helpful and cheerful the entire time! You can tell she really loves what she does. The scooter I bought is very fun to drive and was given a personal little lesson on riding it from Maggie, she even took our picture! I will be going to them for all my scooter needs, plus any future scooter purchases!
Everyone there is very helpful. Danny has been very sweet helping me explore the scooters. Test ride was awesome! I cannot wait to take mine home!
As always Vespa Portland had me walking out the door with a smile and more informed then when I walked in. I came in for a phone mount for my Primavera 150, they got me the hookup on a awesome set of the Ram X mount that works flawless with my scooter. I had some question about covers and they showed me what options they had as well as I asked for jacket sizing and a specific jacket model I wanted. They showed me some catalogs and I found the jacket at a great price below $200! They showed me a very similar jacket that they had in stock that one of the guys uses as his cold weather jacket, now I cant decide between the two! 😂 I got to put a few jackets on to better figure out my sizing as well. Amazing people, amazing atmosphere. I always feel welcome here and have a fun time just looking at the toys!
The staff at Vespa Portland has gone above and beyond my expectations from before my purchase explaining what I needed and how to get it (as I had just moved in from out of state) all the way up to doing maintenance and repairs in a timely and extremely professional manner. They even added some gas to my tank because I was low! For once I dont dread taking my vehicle in for repairs, I would recommend this shop to anyone!
Excellent customer service
I think highly of my old scooter shop. They did high quality work but they also never really made me feel like anything more than another customer. As a first time customer to Vespa I was a little apprehensive, maybe even intimidated. They sell high quality equipment and know their stuff. I have owned several scooters over the years of every shape and size but when it comes to service Ive always felt helpless. I currently own a 2007 Buddy ItaliaI made an appointment in advance over the phone, the service staff was super helpful and nice about all of my questions. This particular scooter was a newer purchase for me from a couple who hadnt driven it much in the past decade but taken really great care of it, it had low miles but also long stretches of time without driving. A full service go over like any new purchase is the service we chose. When I came in for my appointment there was a mishap on getting my bike onto the shop schedule but in having a day delay they were highly apologetic and understanding to the circumstances and made sure to compensate me with future service and make sure I knew my business and time were appreciated. I am fully understanding that these things happen so in the end it was nice to feel taken care of. I cant express just how much they made me feel at home. They have already earned a long term customer in this scooter life regular.Nothing was found problematic in the bike and I will scoot on comfortable in the fact that I now own a dependable quality bike.Thank you Vespa Portland
The folks at Vespa Portland are great! They made for a pleasant experience buying our 2 new scooters. When I had a self inflicted issue Danny got in the car and came to my rescue. Highly recommend!
Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. The inventory here is top notch, no shortage of products to choose from. The staff here clearly know what they are doing, and take a lot of care to make sure the customer receives the best possible product
I purchased a beautiful used Vespa 250 from Portland Vespa in August. Maggie helped me along with one of her technicians. They were very friendly, and make the buying experience delightful. I have been very pleased with the Vespa and continue to go back to their shop for accessories and helpful tips. Maggie even remembered that I really wanted a lock box for the back that hasnt been available on my Vespa for a while out of Italy and continues to follow up with me and keep an eye out for the availability. I would recommend this shop if you are looking to purchase a Scooter. They sell a few different brands at different price points along with both new and used machines.
Where would I be without Vespa Portland? I was on the fence on whether to take a job way out in the suburbs, since I did not want to own a car, and I thought What about a Vespa? I looked it up on Google Maps and realized I was right there! Maggie has been so helpful in teaching me the basics of Vespa ownership (in the beginning, I did not even have the motorcycle license!) I have purchased two scooters, a lock, helmet, jacket and gloves here. Any little issue I have had they have always been so helpful!
Awesome place cool people.
Just had my first service on my baby. Great staff! My Vespa is purring nicely. Definitely recommend for purchases and maintenance.
Goes the extra mile. Super friendly and helpful. We got a Buddy 50 for our fundraiser.
This crew is exceptional at service. Havent bought a scooter here, but its worth the trip from Olympia to have them work on my scooters.
Nathan helped me when I came in on a Sunday and was extremely knowledgeable! The showroom was set up beautifully and very organized! Will be coming back to buy!
Super nice guys, great shop. I havent tested the parts inventory too much, but the parts and services department seems pretty legit.
The place to go if you want to buy a new Vespa or have one serviced. They moved to the old Columbia Scooters location recently. Convenient to have them on the east side now.
The definitive scooter store in Portland. Friendly people, good service staff, easy financing.
My scooter was bogging down so I took it into this shop to get it serviced. They were extremely professional and understanding of the fact that I was on a tight budget. The carburetor was so dirty they ended up needing to cleaned twice. They even went above and beyond by getting help from Piaggio to make sure everything went right. When I picked up my scooter they explained that they had to spend way more time than expected, and were considerate of my tight budget. I was charged a bit extra for the labor, and Im extremely grateful I wasnt charged twice for the carb clean. They have my business for as long as I own this bike! These folks kick ass!
Wasnt really gonna buy a scooter at this time, but they had a good selection and I ended up buying a scooter, a helmet, a cover and a Versa-lift to carry it on the back of my motor home! Danny was terrific.
Now that the new owners to my knowledge has made me so much less stressed. Tom finally explained I need to get my key from a place and take it to smith to cut it.m
We purchased two new scooters! The place is great, the staff is friendly and the shopping experience was great too!
Very helpful service department. Took good care of my GTV 300, even it wasnt bought here. Thank you!
Super freindly staff, made time to answer all my questions.
Thank you Andrew and Danny for being awesome and making my new ride upgrade smooth and seamless and awesome.
If you want a new Vespa, this is your place! Andrew is thoughtful in serving his customers and the place looks better than it ever has.
Great selection of scooters from SYM, Genuine, and Vespa. Great parts and service department. Made a service appointment, got my scooter back the same day. Pedro is a well trained mechanic that graduated from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ and also went to Piaggio Training in Southern California. I love this shop.
Wonderful people work here. No sales pressure, concise and honest folks. My wife hurt her shoulder and couldnt comfortably ride her motorcycle and we were looking for a 150cc scooter. They summed up the benefits/downsides to buying a Vespa versus other brands, made a nice deal on accessories as part of the sale, and I was happy to support a local scooter shop. They took my old Scarabeo in trade and gave a fair price. Ive been back a few times and Im always made to feel at home. Once I asked about the ride quality on the Fly 150, and they gave me the keys for a test ride in the NW hills! (Fly has the same engine as the Vespa 150s, but at the time had older fuel injection. Less snappy power delivery, bike sits lower, weight more evenly centered as fuel and battery are toward the front. If looking for an aff Stable 150cc, its a great choice, and bigger overall than most competition if you want that, esp. the Buddy). They carry cool, smaller brands like Ural and SYM. I love this shop.
Vespa dealer. This is where I bought my Vespa and have it serviced by their experienced and friendly staff. Very friendly place to go, even if you just want to look at new and used motorscooters. They have a great selection of Vespas to look at, and other scooters from 50cc models, electric scooters, up to the Vespa 300, the BV 350 and the Ural motorcycle with sidecar.
That service guy was so nice and helpful, but the gal at the counter snapped at my friends and was rude. When i am paying way to much money for something, i dont expect rudeness. They do have a large selection of bikes.
Wonderful time and got a Vespa super happy
Friendly helpful knowledgeable staff. Best scooters in Portland.
I love working with Nathan. He was absolutely helpful in finding me the perfect scooter!
An excellent knowledgeable customer service experience. They really went out of my way to answer all of the questions that I had about my scooter.
Very friendly and use authentic Vespa parts. My Vespa runs great now!
They were super helpful when I was in a time crunch - got me in and got my scooter up and running perfectly!
Wonderful service, excellent mechanic, odd but accessible location. went above and beyond on many occasions. bravo vespa portland!
Great place to go if you are wanting a vespa!!!
Wandered in here thinking it was still Columbia Scooters, all the Buddys outside should have been a dead giveaway. The woman that I assume is the owner was sitting at the counter talking on the phone. Zero acknowledgement. We looked around a bit before one of the guys that works in the shop came out and said hello to us.Ive always had terrible customer service from Vespa Portland this was no exception.
These guys are great. The shop is well maintained, everyone Ive interacted with has been professional and friendly. Theyve done exceptional maintenance work on my Piaggio, and have excellent turn around for service. Parts ordering can take some time, but I recognize theyre not likely made in the US. There are times where Ive walked in the shop and no-one is around, thatd be my only gripe. However, theyve always been very up front about parts costs AND shop costs, and their mechanic is a rock star. If you want a scooter, or a Royal Enfield (drool), or need service done, this is the place to do it.
Clean Shoppe. Beautiful bikes
I love looking at the scooters, cant wait to buy one again some day!
Lovely family owned business that offers great quality and customer service! Make sure you get to take a test drive!
