My experience with Earle W Noyes & Sons Moving was excellent. From the very beginning, the company was very responsive, and quickly set up a short virtual meeting to make an estimate for total moving and packing costs. The owner got the quotes to me quickly, and Amber was very helpful in making sure that my move was scheduled for the day that best fit with my schedule. On the moving day itself, the three people who came to help pack and move were wonderful - efficient, considerate, and also great at problem-solving when carrying my furniture down a third-floor walk-up. They packed my belongings more carefully than any other moving company Ive used in the past, and everything was placed in my new home in the same condition that they left my old apartment. Overall, they took exactly the amount of time that was predicted on the quote, and the total amount was actually less than quoted because they used the boxes that I had kept from a previous move. They were even willing to reassemble my couch in a new way per my request! I could not be happier that I decided to go with Earle W Noyes & Sons. The crew of Justin, Jenna, and Juan arrived on time and proceeded to move the furniture from our house in about one-third of the time that we had expected that it would take. They were professional and careful and we were amazed at how well they worked. They continued their excellence unloading and placing our furniture in our new house. We were very impressed.

Noyes & Sons only provided a quote for moving; I did not use their services. I contacted Noyes & Son after they were recommended to me as an affiliate of another moving company that was moving some estate items for my family from NY to ME. I contacted Noyes & Son to quote moving one sensitive, crated item in that estate load from my house near Portland to my cousins house over the NH border. Despite being affiliated with the first mover, Noyes & Son informed me that to insure the item I would have to pay to have them uncrate the item and re-crate it themselves. I knew what it cost to have the done the first time so I said sure.Noyes & Sons quote to uncrate, recrate, and ship ONE item 60 miles to NH was several hundred dollars more than to have that same item crated, packed with trailer-load of other items, and shipped 400 miles from NY. I was sure this was a mistake and asked them to re-check their estimate; Noyes & Son never responded.

To be 100% honest... we were NOT easy to move... we were like an unmade bed!! Not ready.. messy!The Noyes team showed up and just did it!. Id rather have dental surgery than move... but Noyes busted out our move and made it soooo easy.I really loved these people. They were professional... Kind... and they didnt judge us because we were poorly packed.. they just did the job.Heres some simple advice... Hire them for your move and relax and let it happen.... and dont be cheap on the tip! they deserved every penny!thank you Noyes moving.. you guys rock!

This was the easiest move we have ever had. From the start, everyone was so nice, very informative, and a pleasure to work with. The movers were so polite, efficient, organized and professional. We moved some heavy pieces of furniture, not a complaint about the weight. Everyone was helpful at the loading and unloading of our belongings. We have always used Noyes for our residential moves. One of the great things about their crew is that we get the same people each time. They are happy, hardworking and completely professional. We have never had a bit of damage to our homes or furnishings. Noyes Moving is a modern company with old school values and service. I can imagine that there could be grim results with some of the less professional movers out in the marketplace, but never with these folks.

In ’18 I moved cross country from CA to NH.I looked at all options. I spoke to movers my family used for decades. They didn’t do cross country, but recommended E.W. Noyes in ME. What a Godsend!After a few emails and a call, I had an e-doc quote in 2 days. Due to the totally reasonable price for door to door I signed immediately. I was introduced to my move coordinator, and again, in a few days sizing was complete, and I had confirmed pickup and drop-off dates.A crew loaded my 3rd floor apartment in little over an hour. Every item was bar code labeled matched to a final bill of laden. I then witnessed the sealing of my possessions into 7’x5’x7’ wooden vaults. On the flip side, after my vaults were weighed at pickup in CA and again on delivery in NH, I drank coffee with the crew as we cracked the seals.Therefore, when I moved back to LA from NH last month, E.W. Noyes was a no brainer. This company has been in business for over 100 years and partners with United Van Lines. You really couldn’t find a nicer, more friendly or efficient team of people.My return to LA was as flawless as my previous departure. On a beautiful New England morning, I took this pic when my E.W. Noyes crew loaded me yet again. Of course, I had a Dunkin Doughnuts waiting for them. America Runs on Dunkin’Honestly, their service made what is typically the most difficult aspect of a move the easiest!For that I’m grateful.

Avoid hiring this local agency! I recently hired United for a full service move from NY to CA, and was unfortunately assigned a driver from this location, Dan Mazerolle. Dan was extremely disrespectful to my wife and I during our move, insulted the state and quality of our household goods, and damaged several items for which we have filed a claim. This individual has a short temper and has no business interacting with a customers personal belongings.During the course of my move, I witnessed Mr. Mazerolle lose his temper several times, throwing items or kicking boxes containing personal belongings without any regard for who they belong to or their contents. Last, it is clear that he did not hire enough labor to complete the move in a timely fashion given the weight of the goods, hiring only two individuals when at least three should have been called for. There was also a dispute regarding reassembly of several shelving units that came apart during the drivers load day at the origin, which he refused to rebuild.This is my third long distance move, and unfortunately due to his actions I will not be using United should I need to move again in the future. Mr. Mazerolle should not be in a position where he needs to interact with customers, and is overall a detriment to both your local agency as well as the United brand. I highly recommend choosing a different agency for your move, or requesting a different driver if the one assigned to you is based from this local agency.See the photos below for the damage and the state they left my residence after a full-service move (driver refused to complete assembly of shelving units taken apart on load day).

They did not show up for my personal move despite it being scheduled and confirmed months in advance. Also, I had a friend who used them and their move was also late but also missing shoes and a broken TV. It is a group of companies under a larger National head that includes United Van lines.

I could not be happier with my experience with Noyes. The packers showed up the day before my move and were excellent. They took the time to wrap each item no matter how small and I was confident every boxed item could sustain an unexpected drop (not that this situation occurred). The movers were terrific as well. I moved out of the top floor of a condo building which added to the challenge but they efficiently got everything out and did a suberb job unloading at my new location. The members of both teams were personable and professional throughout and took the time to answer any questions I had. The entire job was overseen by Amber who was fabulous in arranging, confirming and following up to make sure everything went smoothly.I would highly recommend Noyes to anyone looking for a top-notch moving specialist.

I used United Van Lines in 1997 to move from NYC to Maine. Was very impressed with their quality and ability to show up at the precise time they anticipated. I used them again out of Portland, Maine for my latest move to Midwest mid September of this year. Bob Morley was the man in charge & last July came to my house to do assessment of what was being transported & price estimates. I found him to be thoroughly professional from that first day right up to my move. I highly recommend them and wouldn’t use anyone else. Their efficiency is beyond reproach. Their responses were always timely. Also I commend Charlotte, whom I spoke to when I had question etc. She is very efficient & professional as well as kind. I found the employees who moved my things professional & kind and treated my things with respect. I used couple men to pack mirrors, art etc. They were kind and professional as well. The driver, named Dave, drove my things to Midwest as well as coordinated the day of my move from Maine. He was highly professional. He kept me apprised all the way if there was a slight snag etc. on September 19th, the day Dave & 2 local employees delivered my things went smoothly. I found out from a couple neighbors the next day they were highly impressed with Dave’s ability to back up his huge Mack truck with such precision that one commented he’d wished he had a camera available to video the scene. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. It’s highly stressful to move especially a distance & I wouldn’t use anyone else. Earl W Notes & sons were unbelievably efficient & caring. I think the manager, Bob Morley is to be commended for his top notch coordination & immediate response to me, no matter time off day.A five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 experience. .

Earle W. Noyes and Sons is the worst moving company out there. Tho they are part of United Van Lines they are completely unprofessional in their costumer service. The driver and his crew were great on pickup day tho they marked everything worse then it really was, but from there it went down hill. The office people don’t like to get back to you specially when they screw up. They held onto my stuff for almost a week because they claimed they couldn’t find a driver. Then had to hire a outside company to come move my stuff that they then crammed into containers break and scratching with no care what so ever. By the time I finally got my stuff I was to only deal with United themselves because Earle’s could not deal with me anymore. After several emails phone calls my entire family’s stuff showed up. The drop off crew was great. The gentlemen who brought our stuff in were extremely helpful. They helped note everything that was broken and scratched before they left. DO NOT USE EARLE W NOYES AND SONS if going with United Van Lines. If do make sure you stay on top of them every second every day till done. Best of luck on anyone who moved state to state.

Noyes moved us in to our new home in a snowstorm. Movers professional and efficient. My couch were not making it through the door of my island cottage They took off the front door and somehow got it in. Noyes always has a crew manager, who ensures a smooth move. The Highlands (Assisted Living) sent me a form letter saying I had 30 days to remove my husband (with Parkinsons Disease) from the facility. I did it in 7 with the help of Hospice and Earle Noyes and Sons. They were wonderful, moving things from the Highlands to my house and then taking the rest to the new facility. I am very grateful. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Numerous items were damaged and the company fought me tooth and nail to make reparations. The dish packs were rifled through and clothes were stuffed into them. Jewelry was missing. Temporary help was hired for the delivery. They damaged my front door and tried to steal wine. The entire experience was a nightmare.

Phyllis kept me informed and called me with updates on delays etc.That same great service moved through my entire experience. My driver Renee cared for my belongings as if they were his own. Renee and his assistant packed several of my larger items for me, with care and attention to detail. Every thing arrived safely and not a single chip on crystal or Yadro.Renee also kept me informed along the way with phoned updates, I felt so at ease knowing the progress from Florida to Maine. Unloading was quick and professional with Renee checking with me on placement of each item and even stopping to tighten the legs on my desk, that had been loose for months!Worth every penny to have a moving experience go just the way you hoped it would be! My experience with Donald and Phyllis was great from the first call I made to their office to inquire about getting someone to my house to give a quote on the move. Donald made it happen that day! He was very professional and very competent. He also noticed that our road was posted with weight restrictions. I had another company come for a visit and quote earlier in the day and they didnt notice or mention anything about the road being posted. Donald was able to work around that issue, quoted me a price and the price I paid in the end was exactly what he quoted me. The driver found my wifes engagement ring on the floor and brought it to her... she cried and gave him a hug because she knew he could have taken that without anyone knowing. All of our belongings arrived on time and in good condition... I did the packing myself and the only casualties were one broken wine glass and one broken table mounted fan (this had nothing to do with the moving company... this was my fault). Our first two local moves could not have been bettered. The men were courteous and careful and everything arrived in perfect condition. The same cannot be said of a recent cross-country move, The packing crew was unpleasant at times and seemed careless and rushed. When the time came for unpacking, we discovered that several precious antiques had been smashed and others bore the marks of haste and poor wrapping. Two good moves and one very bad do not make for reliability.

Earle W. Noyes & Sons moved my family up from Massachusetts a few years ago. The crew was wonderful and I was surprised how quick they got everything into the truck. We kept a lot of our stuff in storage with them while we searched for a home. Once we bought our house, everything was delivered seamlessly. My experience with Earle W. After a bad experience with another moving company, we wanted to find movers that cared about handling our furniture. Earle W Noyes & Sons is friendly, courteous, and made us feel taken care of. They took their time and listened to our needs. I didnt feel like I was getting a run-around or charged an unfair amount. Weve recommended the company to a few family/friends and theyve also had positive experiences. Even though we recently moved, were thinking ahead to the future and will give them a call when the time comes.

I just moved to Maine with Earle Noyes and it was the best move Ive ever had.My wife and I are always very nervous about moving because of all the valuable and fragile furniture that we have. This was by far the best move we have had and everything came back in the same shape it left the house. Don was my salesman and he was a great contact person, very professional and easy to work with. Noyes moved my family from Chicago to Maine in December of 2014. The move couldnt have been easier. The staff was friendly, professional, and courteous. Noyes even stored the majority of our stuff until my wife and I found our first home. Everything was delivered on time and in one piece. Nothing was lost, even with 6 months of storage. Next time I move, Noyes will be my first call!

We were very pleased with our move through Earl Noyes & Sons. The loading of the truck was efficient and orderly as was the unloading at the destination. Derek, our driver, was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process, thereby taking away a lot of our anxiety about the move.

Earl Noyes and Sons moved us from Los Angeles to Boston 11 years ago, and that was such a positive expereince, that we chose them to move us recently from Boston to Portland, Oregon. Long-distance moves are tricky, but both times, we were impressed with the loaders and unloaders. (Our household belongings went in a container by train across country.) We were kept informed as to arrival times, and our considerable amount of stuff was delivered without anything broken. All movers were courteous, friendly, and took great care with our furniture, boxes etc. I couldnt recommend them more highly.
