I’ve used U-Haul plenty of times, but this was the first time where I had a really good experience. The woman behind the counter helped me right away, was quick to grab my boxes for me, and was incredibly polite. She also came out within a minute of me dropping off the vehicle to help with checking it back in and, again, was really polite.I didn’t have any expectations, it’s just renting a van after all, but it was nice to be surprised by responsive and pleasant service.
Alysha helped us with hooking up our Dolly quickly and when we had issues with the lighting on our cars end she helped us figure out the problem and made sure we were good to tow, well past closing time and was very friendly the entire time. Would recommend to anyone needing uhaul services.
Advertise propane, have propane but choose not to sell it. I was the only customer there. Will not bother U-Haul employees ever again.
Did not have parts ready for a scheduled installation & did not call to let me know until right before installation was scheduled.
Went to this location over the weekend to fill 2 small propane tanks. Walked into the building and was greeted by no one. Stood around waiting for at least 5-10 minutes before an employee even came in. She was NOT friendly to say the least. She seemed entirely put out that she was there, then it took her way longer than normal to fill 2 small propane tanks. Customer service was DEFINITELY not there - even being polite didnt happen. Wont be going back. Also, their propane prices are pretty ridiculous compared to other places. Guess thats why they dont have their price listed anywhere.
Years ago I reserved a truck from here showed up the day I reserved and they said I reserved it at a location in Gresham even though I did the reservation in store.5 years later I did it all over the internet and had 0 issues. Truck was there and customer service was great! The 2 different people I dealt with (during pick up and drop off) where very nice and easy to communicate with.
I had an excellent trailer rental experience here. They were efficient and professional. It was the smoothest rental experience Ive had.
Before renting a truck from here I read the reviews and thought, hey, Ill give it a shot...And Im a little bummed I did. I rented a truck for pick-up at 6a on a Friday. According to the app, all I had to do was locate my truck, grab the keys, go through the little inspection on the phone and I would be set. Unfortunately, it wasnt quite that easy.When I arrived, a truck had not been assigned to my reservation so I called the 24/7 helpline they offer and there was no answer. I tried a few different times and again, the phone rang into oblivion.So I wait around for an hour or so until they open at 7:00am. 7:01... 7:05... 7:10... Nothing.. no one shows up to help. I call another number that I found online and luckily someone answers. Some customer service guy that wasnt helpful tells me that I actually scheduled my reservation for 7:00a not 6:00a.. which is simply just not true and I had the email confirmation to prove it. He transfers me to another woman who was helpful. She got in touch with the district or general manager, I cant remember which it was, and someone finally showed up around 7:15a.Once the staff member showed up things went fairly smoothly, but he also kept telling me that I scheduled my reservation for 7:00a and I know that I didnt, I had to share my email confirmation with him too. Apparently, the unhelpful customer service guy that I spoke with initially on the phone actually changed my reservation in the system to 7:00a and then called me a liar...All in all, it was a super annoying experience. I personally wont be renting from here again, and I recommend going somewhere else if you can.
The staff here at St. Johns were a big help. They noticed the trailer I was picking up needed to be cleaned, so they offered me another trailer. They set it up for me and checked my lights to make sure everything functioned, all in a timely manner. I was unable to return the trailer on time (but still within a 24-hour period) and they waived my additional day fee without asking any questions. The team here is helpful and thoughtful. Keep up the good work!
This is the second time I’ve come to this location for a propane refill. The first time, the guy hadn’t been trained yet. Ok, understandable. The second time, the “pump is down.” There was no sign on the pump and only one associate working. She didn’t answer the bell ring, I went into the store twice to look for her. Then if I finally walked around the building calling for someone. I know she heard me and, instead of answering, walked around the other side of the truck. I literally had to follow her saying “excuse me” half a dozen times before she acknowledged me. I won’t try filling propane here ever again and I definitely won’t use them for supplies. Deliver on what your business promises.
Very nice people.... Matt was very helpful and knowledgeable about the questions I was asking him about hitch’s and what I was gonna Be able to tow with my vehicle. Would recommend this place for anyone.. only down fall is there usually only one person working at a time
Its true, the customer service here is awful. Rented a box truck to make a dump run, and not only does the guy take forever, but he warns me to be careful of a particular race of drivers. Dude, seriously, in 2019? Not cool. Then I am told that I cant do a local rental, that I have to rent here than drop it off at another location. Okay, fine. At least the truck didnt break down. But I think Ill go to the store on Columbia Boulevard next time where the service is faster, friendlier and non-racist.
I don’t want to knock the whole store or the whole staff but I just had the worst customer service in a long time. I walk in and there are no other customers besides me. There is a guy sitting behind the desk typing on his computer. He slightly glances at me but doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t nod or anything just ignores me. I walk around the small front area of the store waiting for him to say can I help you, or welcome, or I’ll be right with you, but nope not a word... after four minutes or so I say “do you work here?” He says yes and that’s it. I then say “well aren’t you going to say something to your customer? Like Hello?He looks at me and says, “I was finishing up an email about my inventory.” As if that justifies not greeting a customer.Huh? So that prevented you from saying hi? Or I’ll be right with you? I said those exact words and left.What an idiot. I sure hope his supervisor reads this.But now I have to go across town to get what I needed. Oh well, no way could I have spent my money there.
Jeffery, the general manager, was great to work with and really went the extra mile for us. He was very accommodating and helpful.However, I went a second time for service on Saturday, for a 9am appointment. They failed to set appropriate expectations, and I ended up having to spend the ENTIRE DAY waiting for my trailer hitch to be set up. I kept checking with them, and they kept saying, it will be next, should be only another hour or two. They started work on it at 4pm and finished at 5pm.

Make sure you know what your paying for. He just expected me to run my card first.Rental Estimate:GMC two door pickup. Rented from 3pm to 6pm. Only drove 46 miles. Payed the $10 optional insurance fee. Came out to be a total of $71.08, plus exactly $7 fill up of regular gasoline=$78.08

Id really messed up returning the trailer wed rented....wrong location, a day late...and they made it all NOT MY PROBLEM. I was in and out of there in under 5 minutes! A+ service, guys, thank you! By the way--their motorcycle trailers are really well-built, with plenty of super-sturdy D-rings to tie down to, and a front wheel chock built in. Much better than anything Ive seen available to buy.
Friendly staff, equipment in excellent condition. They really helped me out when the power lift for my power scooter failed... They put my lift and scooter on the trailer for me and secured everything for my 1,500 mile trip. Thanks guys!
Waited an hour in line just to be told that they could not do something. literally the worst use Enterprise or any other service including your creepy Uncle youll have a better experience
Process of truck rental was mostly ok. Just a suggestion to document gas tank level and odometer (with a photo) before leaving their lot. When the move is finished, be sure to fill the tank back up to their required level at an outside gas station.
I rented a truck for the day. This was by far the cleanest and best organized location that Ive rented from in the Portland area. The manager was clear and helpful in his instructions. Highly recommended.

Nice guys- took almost three hours to install a hitch and wiring, but it was a busy morning for them (almost all vehicles rented out before 10am and some jerk had siphoned gas from two of their trucks). They offered to let me inspect all the wiring and work before they closed the panels up and everything was clean and well-connected. I would recommend them, but only to folks who arent in a rush to get the work done.
Got my car wired for towing here, they did a great job and had no problem with swapping out the drawbar for a different sized one, encouraged me to come back if I ever have any issues. Would definitely recommend getting wiring done here, as it can be a pain to do yourself.
This place is crazy no place to park lady is very rude and we were returning boxs just to.exchange and no wont without recite when we bought across town stay away from this place
Go to the Uhaul on Columbia. They have a new manager at this store who doesnt care about his staff or customers. The guys who worked there (Justin and collin?) were amazing and would bend over backwards to help but apparently they quit. (seems kinda fishy to me)
Super helpful; super fast (with online check in, weekdays) Jason and Justin are great. I use it during the week; not sure how backed up they get on weekends.
I thought the bad reviews might be wrong, but nope. Stay away from this place and go to the one off Columbia.... they actually have people there...

Poor customer service. Was told they do not fill new propane tanks though their sign indicates they do. Staff was very unhelpful and could not suggest an alternative option.
They were crazy busy and my hitch install took an hour longer to install, but the price cant be beat and it appears to be of good quality. Will be returning.
