Life Storage on Presumscot Street was a great place to store my things; it was easy to set up the rental, their automatic payment option saved any anxiety about missing a bill, and it was nice to have 24/7 access for those random times when you just NEED something in your unit at 11pm.The only complaint I had was the price increase. I was thrilled to find a local storage unit at $60/mo... but after a while the price went up considerably with no notice (the $60 jumped to $94 out of the blue, I had to call to find out why.)Overall, Life Storage was the best option at the time I needed it. The employees were always friendly, the building was clean and easily accessed, and even canceling was easy. Would recommend/use in the future.

Last summer I was living in Florida and in the process of selling to move back to Maine. I knew I would be staying with my family until I found a place to live, therefore I needed to send my belongings to a storage unit. I called Life Storage to inquire about climate controlled units and found them extremely helpful in arranging storage units close together, as I needed more than one, and on the first floor. My furniture arrived before I could make the trip north, so my daughter and grandson met the movers in the pouring rain. They got all my things under roof quickly and when I got there a week later, I was really surprised at how bright, clean, and well managed the place is. Credit is to be given to the manager Jacki Bogan of Life Storage #891 on Presumpscot St. in Portland and her assistant, Edith, with whom I had many interesting conversations with during several visits to pick up some of my things. All in all, for the five months there, I found it to be a great place, a great experience and I highly recommend them!

Super secure, clean, organized, dry, and easy to use. The staff is also super friendly and it’s a very convenient location.

Only had to keep my stuff here for 1 month, but SUPER clean facility, good amount of parking, friendly staff and really decent prices! All around great experience and if we werent moving Id keep storing my stuff here. :)

Life Storage #891 at Presumpscot St. was such a positive experience. Rob helped me decide which storage unit was best for my needs. I was going through a very difficult time especially moving before Christmas. The building/hallways where always well lit, good size elevator and plenty of carts. I also noticed that during my many visits to my unit other storage tenants wore their mask and keep social distance and respect. Both Edith and Rob were always available to answer my questions, also if you neglect to lock your unit correctly they will safety lock your unit on there daily walk through. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Life Storage #891 to my friends.

Roby Thibodeau was a huge help. He was awesome and was prepared to aid me in any way that I needed. From a month prior to me moving in he set a reminder to hold my unit for me. We showed up on a rainy day, he was helpful in showing us the building so we had no issues moving my stuff around. Dollies were abundant right at the front door, hallways were clear and before I left he made sure I was all set with my first payments and even mentioned online features. I was quite nervous doing this at a young age, I thought there was going to be hoops to jump through, but it went super smooth and I really recommend life storage on Persumpscot street in Portland.

Life storage in Portland Maine is clean and well run. My husband and I arrived on a panic to find storage after a reservation we thought we had with Portland Uhaul - to store items after a 2000+mile trip - was not honored. Edith stayed late on a Sunday afternoon to help us figure out what would work for us and we were able to unload that evening, as planned and needed by our move logistics.

Rips off customers by raising its rates about every 2-3 months. Ive had my rates go up $50 over a year. They use the shortage of units in the area to their advantage for sure to scrape every penny from their customers.

The manager was very helpful reviewing sizes and prices for me. I had a lot of questions and he was very patient and helpful. The building was clean and lots of parking

This is an excellent storage facility. I love that it is indoors. They have several carts, including a mattress cart, that makes moving in/out very easy. It is a clean facility. It is priced very well. Customer service is great. The facility is very clean and secure. The building is brand new and updated. Very happy we found life storage!

Easy location, convenient access to storage units and super helpful staff who were able to hook me up, despite my last minute request for storage. I called a few other storage locations in and around the greater Portland, ME area and didn’t receive a single returned phone call. Life Storage answered right away on the 2 times I’ve needed to speak with their office.The Portland location has equipment available to help with moving in/out of storage unit, which easily saved hours of time and labor costs. Shanna in the office was awesome and able to help extend my storage for a couple extra days at the pro-rated monthly rate, rather then just have my card auto-billed for an extra month. Would recommend to anyone with storage needs.

Cleanest units in town along with a professional staff. Easy to work with and the terms were clear and concise. Large parking lot to accommodate trucks and located right outside downtown. All in all a pleasant experience.
