Our family’s experience with Stephen, Ron & Brenda were wonderful! They honored the online price even though the in store price was higher. When we went to try out the piano, the sales team was friendly and very helpful with all our questions and best of all we had delivery in a few days!! My girls love the piano and I love the easy way it was to find it.If we upgrade or need to buy again, I would definitely buy from them again!
In our search for a new piano, we had an extremely positive experience with Justin Johnson, from the Portland Piano Company. Although we ultimately chose a piano that his company does not sell new, Justin worked in a friendly, creative and constructive manner to understand our needs, and to offer alternatives that might meet them. His transparency and insights were valued and highly appreciated.I & A, Columbia Gorge, OR
I had a very positive experience buying a piano from Portland Piano Company. Stephen Baxter helped me understand the features and differences among the many choices, providing good information but also leaving me time on my own to come to a decision, without any pressure. The building is very welcoming and the pianos are well displayed. The paperwork and arrangements for delivery went quickly and smoothly. I highly recommend them.
I had a very positive customer service experience when I consigned our grand piano with the Portland Piano Company. They guided me through everything. The pick-up and transport was handled with great care, and they kept me informed all the way through the final sale and delivery to its new home. It was all handled with professionalism, courtesy, excellent communication, and follow-thru. It gave me a great deal of confidence and satisfaction. Im extremely pleased with the results. Many thanks to Brenda K. for her excellent customer service.
I purchased Larry Fines Book Piano Buyer and tried to do my best research before deciding on a final selection of pianos for purchase. I shopped around at every piano store in portland and tried many used and new pianos before settling on one at Portland Piano Company. Ron and Mitch were super helpful during the process in answering all of my questions. They did everything possible to ensure I got the right piano for my needs. I would definitely recommend including Portland Piano Company in your piano purchasing plans and you will be sure to see a wide selection and find a great piano that will rank at the top of your list during your own search. One final note was that I experienced less sales pressure here compared to some other stores and that definitely helps when making big decisions.
The owner Mitch and his crew are top notch. We have shopped so many different companies for the perfect piano for our daughter and Portland piano company came through with all their promises and beyond. It was not easy for a family who doesn’t know anything about the industry to choice the right piano. We are so confident with the purchase we would recommend anyone who’s in the market of buying music instruments to talk to them first.Again, thanks for the wonderful experience.
Great selection of amazing pianos. The Faziolis are simply beautiful, both to the eye and the ear. The people were helpful and knowledgeable
I have purchased two instruments from Portland Piano in the last 3 years. Before I purchased, I had no piano, and the owner Mitch would let me come in and play on the pianos for my own enjoyment, even though I couldn’t afford one at the time.I purchased a Kawaii digital CA78 while I lived in an apartment (an amazing instrument). Two years later I traded it in to purchase a Mason and Hamlin grand. Portland piano credited me 100% of the value for the Kawaii, even though it was 2 years old.The sales man found me the right grand piano, after letting me play most of the pianos there. His input was immensely helpful. When it was delivered I was unsure of what, if any bench would come with it as we hadn’t discussed and I didn’t pay for one.I was overjoyed when it was delivered with professional fully adjustable cushioned bench. This week I reached out to Mitch to get tuner recommendations, and instead he is having a tuner contact me, and covering the cost.Even when there were some financing mixups, they were immediately corrected with help from Brenda in accounting. In the end, great company, great people. When it’s time to upgrade to my 9 ft Fazioli grand I know where I’ll be going.Thank you to Mitch, Park, Brenda, and Portland Piano for helping me find my instrument.
Brenda and Justin were both fantastic in helping me find the right piano for my situation. They went above and beyond to make sure that I could make an informed choice, shipping a piano from their Eugene warehouse so that I was able to try 3 different digital pianos side by side. I would highly recommend their service to anyone thinking about getting a new piano, and they even have a trade in and upgrade service which makes buying a piano store there more attractive than elsewhere (e.g. online)
My experience with Portland Piano Company has been almost magical. My wife and I were buying a new home with gorgeous views and the grand piano dream was the centerpiece of the equation. About the time we were getting close Brenda Kell sent an email with all the wonderful selection and spectacular prices. Perfect timing. And when I went up to take a look I discovered my friend Park Llafet works there, quite possibly the greatest piano salesman that there is. Park intuitively put me in the EXACT piano for me at the price that could make it a reality. Park is such a class act that at the end of the transaction he shook my hand and said a heartfelt, thank you. I feel like Im the one who should be thanking him, especially since I can see a much more tattered version of my same model piano online for much more money. The people who work at Portland Piano Company are all top notch. Warm and fun, I love going in there so much. And I absolutely LOVE my Baldwin SF-10! Such a finely crafted instrument from the golden age of piano making. Score. Mitch informed me that when Im ready to get the Fazioli, Park will upgrade me at full value trade in. Class act I tell you! Love Portland Piano Company!!
Well this review is a couple months late. Justin helped us choose and purchase a great Boston grand piano. We showed up for our appointment and he let us try all sorts of pianos and got a sense for what we liked and needed. He helped us narrow it down and gave great advice. Also gave us a great deal. Sorry it took me a couple months to get on here and leave you that positive review I told you was coming. Thanks again!
Excellent service all around! I emailed the Portland Piano company and Brenda quickly replied with a list of available pianos, as well as a couple of suggestions that worked with my budget. When I visited in person, I worked with Ron. He was very welcoming and understood exactly what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction. I ended up purchasing a piano that same day, and there was no pressure at all throughout the experience. I also asked for a different bench and Ron provided that without further cost. The delivery team was excellent as well, arriving right on time and quickly picked up my trade in and delivered my new piano. I would highly recommend shopping here. Their selection and pricing is very competitive, and even thought my piano was 30 years old it looked brand new upon delivery.
Justin was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Over the phone, he was able to identify our needs and emailed us some viable options. We then visited the showroom to check out the pianos.Justin was very informative, relatable and made us feel like he was looking out for our best interest and fit. We appreciated his knowledge, guidance and low pressure demeanor. If youre looking for a piano, if definitely recommend chatting to or visiting Justin at Portland Piano Company.
Great staff from owner on. Very pleasant experience. Terrific service. Great team.
Mitch is the best. He was not pushy, he was knowledgeable, and patient with us. He steered us to the right piano for our family, not just the most expensive. We were in the market for a high-end upright (that would come as close to a grand as possible); and price was not really the object in our case. I was impressed that Mitch could talk in endless detail about the differences between the models we were considering, and he listened more than he talked - which is the rare quality that earns stars for my reviews. In the end, he promptly answered questions over email, and when we arrived, the store has a wonderful selection, a smart technician who answered the more pressing questions from the players in my family, and Mitch sealed the deal by staying late to stand in the rain to help me get the piano in a trailer after hours. Rarely do I have this type of sales experiences, but I did here. Ill be back, and so will my friends. Thanks, Mitch and Portland Piano Company!
The staff at Portland Piano Company is fantastic! Our family was in the market to upgrade from an electric keyboard to an acoustic piano. Portland Piano Company came recommended to us by our childrens piano teacher. After meeting the staff at Portland Piano Company we didnt even bother shopping around anywhere else. They have a huge selection, a beautiful showroom, and competitive pricing. We had a great experience. I would gladly recommend Portland Piano Company to anyone in the market for a piano or keyboard. Thank you PPC.
I have done business with Portland Piano on a number of occasions and have always receivedpleasant and profession service. Their new showroom is top notch. I liked the fact that they maintain a large inventory of pianos. When I made our purchase, I felt no hard sell pressure and I got a veryreasonable price . Class act.
My first purchase of a piano. I first looked up reviews, visited this company and worked with Justin then made the purchase. My experience was positive, consistent with all the high reviews. Bottom line: Id recommend this company and Justin!
Selecting and buying a vintage grand piano from Portland Piano was a really enjoyable experience. Ron was very knowledgeable about pianos and helped me find just what I was looking for by also checking with their inventory at the Eugene store. I ended up with a 1960s Balwin R grand piano that I absolutely love for the sound and craftsmanship.
Excellent experience!! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! Delivery was easy! Would definitely purchase from here again!
I have only good things to say about Portland Piano Company. They are easy to talk to, deal with, they are honest, true to their word, show up when scheduled (within reason), etc.I had a piano I wanted to sell. They offered to pick it up, do any minor repairs and tuning and sell it for me on consignment with no money out of pocket. How cool is that?Ive been in the music business my entire life. 40+ years as a musician, as well as having done repair/tech work throughout, including owning a modestly successful and sometimes known shop called Players Repairs (stringed/fretted instruments) in West Los Angeles. If you are in the market for a piano, or are thinking of selling one you already have, may I highly recommend that you start with Portland Piano Company first. Two thumbs up, guys! Thanks! You rock!DS
I highly recommend Portland Piano Company! I decided to find a new home for my aunt’s lovely grand piano. Mitch was very knowledgeable about the piano and offered to sell it for me at Portland Piano Company. He and his staff have been professional and courteous throughout. And, I’m happy to say he found a new home for the piano.
Great experiences here. Have now purchased two different pianos from Ron.
We have had a fantastic experience with finding our dream piano when working with Brenda Kell and her excellent colleagues at Portland Piano Company. It has been educational in the best of ways; not only did we find a piano that met our expectations and then some, we also learnt a lot in the process. And we did this for what I feel is a very fair price!Others have mentioned how pleasant it is to work with this company, and I agree 100%. Apart from there being absolutely no sales pressure or persuasion in their process, the patience displayed when dealing with uncertain piano buyers that are absolute beginners was exceptional. At this point I wish I needed more pianos so I would have a reason to go back to the store and interact more with these awesome people.
I worked with Park L to purchase my brand new piano with a player system. Park was knowledgeable and easy to work with. I love the piano. This is one happy customer.
Had a great experience buying a new piano here! Best prices I found in town. Justin was super helpful, well-researched and not pushy at all. Highly recommend!
I have never purchased a piano before, and was a little unsure of things, but working with Justin I felt assured that all along the way that I was in good hands.Last spring I started thinking about buying a digital piano. I like playing Christian music and to me some songs sound better on an organ than a piano, but I still wanted the piano option since my wife plays the piano. I read and listened to review after review and finally decided to buy the Kawai ES8. Just as I was about ready to buy one, Kawai announced it was releasing the ES920, so the ES8 was obsolete. I was having a hard time online finding a local dealer that sold Kawai digital pianos, so I called Kawai, and they recommended Portland Piano Company. I called Portland Piano and asked them if they could get me the ES920. At that time there was no firm shipment date from Kawai. They had ordered several, but there was no guarantee that they were going to comein any time soon. One day I received a call from Justin saying he was holding one for me even though they only received a small portion of the number they ordered. There was a tremendous demand for the piano and all of the piano manufacturers were having supply chain issues, so I felt really special getting one. At the same time I purchased the piano I also purchased a bench and headphones. Since the piano doesnt have a built-in cover, Justin had a piano cover custom-made for my piano.I am very pleased with the piano. It has a very robust speaker system. In addition to the piano and organ tones, I like to combine some of the other sounds line choir, harpsichord and strings. I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend Portland Piano.
I recently purchased a used piano from Portland Piano Company in order to further my childrens lessons. Our sales person was Justin Johnson, and he provided a very pleasant and low-pressure experience for our first piano buying experience! We took two days to make our decision. On the first day, I looked at the pianos by myself with Justin. He showed me all the pianos that were within my budget and gave me some information about them, such as the year and location they were manufactured. I put a deposit on one of the pianos and was assured that it would either be refunded or go toward the purchase of any piano (not just that one). The following week, I brought my childrens piano teacher and my children (ages 7 and 9) to play the pianos and help me make a final decision. Justin was very patient with my two children and was able to speak to all of our teachers questions and concerns about the various instruments. In the end we chose a different piano than the one I put the deposit on, and Justin agreed to match the price even though it was a better instrument. I am very grateful for his customer service and willingness to help us get a great piano for an affordable price! Our piano will be delivered tomorrow, less than a week from our purchase. I love that the price I paid includes the delivery fee, a tuning in our home, and a five year warranty. I would definitely recommend The Portland Piano Company and Justin!
Wonderful service.
Open by appointment, but received immediate appointment. Salesperson showed us where the pianos we were interested in were, then left us alone to play them. Selection was a little sparse, but found what I was looking for. Delivery scheduled 3 days later.
I bought a Steinway piano from Portland Piano Company after visiting four piano stores in Portland. They have the best price, the best customer service and the best selection. I absolutely love my piano, and am so glad the I found Portland Piano Company
Great experience buying a digital keyboard! Got to try them in-store for around 1.5 hrs. They price-matched the lowest online deal I could find. Friendly service throughout and honest advice.
Lots of good pianos to check out! Brenda and Ron have been very helpful!
Really great and helpful folks and a great variety for pianos for every budget
I recently bought a new 6-foot-2 grand piano from Portland Piano Company. I received competitive offers from other local stores, but Mitch and Brenda really made the experience a top notch. They were very communicative with every step, and the piano arrived flawlessly yesterday.2 thumbs up. Will certainly refer friends and family here.
After a very long search, we bought a piano from Portland Piano. It was a fantastic experience! Brenda Kell was very helpful, professional and went the extra miles to ensure our purchase was perfect. We immensely appreciate Brenda’s help and highly recommend her and Portland Piano.
Great selection, knowledgeable staff. Weve bought pianos twice here. Once personally and once to help an organization purchase a piano. The organization had special needs and Mitch was able to quickly help us and expedite the transaction. Everyone involved has been very happy with the results and I highly recommend the Portland Piano Company.
Brenda was amazing at helping us find an upright in our budget, and she went above-and-beyond to find caster cups that fit the unique feet just right. Communication was consistently excellent. Highly recommend this company for above-board, honest dealings and quality options.
Perfection. Flawless purchasing experience. Exemplary follow through. All promises met. Portland Piano Company delivered in a tight window when we really needed it. The showroom was gorgeous with an incredible selection. Mitch, the owner, had me hooked on the phone. When my daughter and I entered the store, and with his wise guidance, we found our perfect piano. Their pricing can’t be beat, the quality and range of the pianos seem endless, and in the end, he gave the best advice- see what moves your daughter when she plays. I’m listening to her play now in our home as I write this- and Heaven is stirring! The sound is brilliant with beautiful warm tones. Mitch is kind, responsive, intuitive, skilled, and focused. We felt so cared about and I knew when we met him that he was someone we could count on. When you buy a piano, you are developing a relationship. My daughter now has this beautiful relationship with her piano, we have a long-lasting bond with Mitch and Portland Piano Company, and our relationship in our home is enhanced through the inexplicable beauty, sound and quality of this instrument.
Friendly service and a nice variety of pianos. I wasnt quite ready to purchase a new piano when I went in, just looking around, but I know this will be worth the trip when I do decide to upgrade from my old Yamaha keyboard and go for something with a better sound. I live 6 hours away and cant wait to visit again, hopefully next time with more money in my pocket.
What do 170 miles of remoteness, holiday interruptions, a trip to Mexico - and even a fractured wrist - have to do with buying a piano? They are all reasons why this deal should not have gone smoothly, if at all.Yet the wonderful staff at Portland Piano made the entire process a breeze. It was a pleasure working with Brenda Kell and the owner, Mitch Paola. Its rare to encounter this level of accommodation and trust in the retail world: Brenda put together a generous offer on my trade-in, sight unseen, on top of the fact that the instrument I was purchasing had already been offered at a substantial discount. One could not possibly ask for a better deal, or finer people to work with.Although I now own my dream piano and am unlikely to upgrade within the time I have remaining on Earth, Portland Piano will certainly be my first stop if a need for replacement should ever arise.
We had a wonderful experience with Portland Piano Company. After reaching out to Mitch, we had someone come to move the piano within a week. The piano was tuned and put up for sale very quickly and sold just as fast. You can absolutely trust this company to deal quickly, professionally, and fairly with you. Need to sell your piano? Stop wasting time and take it to Portland Piano Company!
Always a wonderful experience! These folks really know their stuff and are amazing to work with. Id recommend them to anyone looking for anything piano related. Very professional but still warm and welcoming to people of any level.I cant wait to get my new baby grand in my home!
We have tried many pianos and went to couple local stores after deciding to upgrade our upright to a grand. Finally we found the piano we like but the color was not what we prefer in Portland Piano. After talking to Mitch, he promised to set up a new black ebony piano and tuned it nicely and ready for us to try when we were available to visit the store again. We now enjoy playing our new piano so much everyday. Thank you very much Mitch and Portland Piano.
Salesman Justin is very enthusiastic and patient,He helped me pick out my favorite piano, And the store offers a five-year warranty, I like this store
We needed to upgrade our piano and I was apprehensive about doing so. I researched and visited many piano stores in the Portland Area. Portland Piano was the most confident and knowledgeable in purchasing the best quality product for my familys needs. I also felt that Portland Piano helped us make the best choice to stay within our budget. I would highly recommend this Piano Company in that the staff is friendly, competent, and knowledgeable in their product. I felt they had my best interest at heart and did not try any fancy sales tactics. Their service is impeccable and I will continue to use their service in the future!
We had a fantastic experience here. Our salesperson spent tons of time on us, gave us space when we needed it to just play around, knew the brands, models, and prices without having to read the labels. If I can find his card Ill post his name to recommend him.
Our experience with Portland piano company was amazing!! Justin Johnson was super helpful and helped us find the right piano for my son. I would highly recommend Justin Johnson!!!
I liked it till it wouldnt Read a Card with a Chip in it !
We have bought piano here twice now, Mitch is very helpful and friendly! We received lots of help from them!
Great company! Variety of selections at reasonable prices. Would recommend.
Mitch and Brenda are the best! They helped steer us towards the absolute perfect piano for our family and ensured everything was 100% tip top prior to moving it to our home. Delivery was white glove all the way. Thanks again!
Absolutely amazing.
Thoroughly enjoying our gently used piano we purchased at Portland Piano Company. Really appreciate Brenda’s assistance in finding the right piano for our family. It’s been a great piece for our home and perfect for our boys to learn how to play.
I didnt know what to do with my lovely, but unused, piano and kept putting off selling it until I learned about Portland Piano and their consignment service on the web. All it took was one call. They came to my home almost immediately, picked up my piano, and it sold it just a few months later. I was also happily surprised by the check I received in the mail. Thank you, Portland Piano, and a special thank you to Mitch, the sales rep who handled my consignment.
We went in looking to buy our first piano, a baby grand that would make a nice piece of furniture as well as being a good instrument for our children to start learning on.Ron was very helpful in educating us about pianos and showing us an appropriate selection of pianos that would meet our needs without any high pressure sales. The store has a good selection of new and used pianos in all price ranges.
Bought our first piano from Mitch. He did a great job guiding is through the options in a no-pressure, no-nonsense way. We got a piano that looks fantastic, sounds great and worked in our budget. We are so glad we decided to purchase a new piano from Portland Piano.
I recently purchased a new Kawai from Portland Piano Company. From start to finish, my experience working with Mitch was exactly what I hoped for. Portland Piano Company went out of there way to help me buy a new piano in the middle of our move to Corvallis. They made accommodations for me that made purchasing a new piano in the middle of a move such an easy process. I have worked with a number of piano stores in the past and Portland Piano Company surpasses them all!
My wife and I checked out every brand of piano being offered in the area. While each store had nice sounding instruments, Portland Piano Company offered not only one of the most beautiful sounding pianos of all that we tried, they also took the time to educate us about how a piano is made and showed us the difference between a temporary piano and one that will last us a lifetime. The staff offers such caring and friendly service that our decision was easy. We will definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a piano. Now this is the way customer service is suppose to be. Thank you.
My buying experience at the showroom was phenomenal; great selection, and wonderful customer service to help me pick out the perfect piano for me. Arranging delivery was easy, and same for the in-home piano tuning. Flawless experience from start to finish! I would recommend them to anyone seeking a good experience AND a fantastic instrument!
I purchased a beautiful Baldwin piano and had a wonderful experience working with Mitch. The Portland Piano Co. showroom is warm, inviting and has a great selection to choose from. I had many questions and they took the time to help me feel great about my purchase. I will recommend Portland Piano Co. to all of my friends and family.
They found the perfect used piano for my family and treated me like I was buying their top of the line Grand. Much better value than I found on Craigslist...PP stands behind their merchandise, they tune it, arrange delivery, the works! I love the fact they are locally owned. Nice people. Great value.
We decided to get an upright piano a couple weeks ago and had no idea where to start. We stopped by this store just to get some first clues but the professional and friendly sales lady helped us make our decision quickly. Now Ive been playing my new piano for a while and really love it!We came in on a Saturday and saw a variety of all type pianos. After carefully listening to our goal and budget, Brenda showed us the upright ones and introduced their brands, features, etc. She then offered me a couple music books and left us alone so I can totally enjoy trying each of them. After a while I found my favorite one - it feels great! The piano was delivered to us a couple days later as we asked. The moving guys were very friendly and gentle on the piano.Wish others find their favorite piece in this store, too. :)
Great staff, great options, great deals. I had a fantastic experience buying my first piano and am so happy with it.
Our purchasing experience with Mitch was Exceptional. He helped us, so patiently, friendly, without any pressure, with great knowledge, and big heart, through the research, decision making, and buying journey of our new, phenomenal, simply the best, Grotrian Grand. We are so glad to have found Mitch and his outstanding Piano Company, which we would highly recommend to anybody looking for the exceptional service, unique experience, and the best piano. Our heartfelt Thank You!
This was our first piano purchase for our kids (aged 6 and 4) - we didnt know much about Pianos or music in general - Mitch was extremely friendly, gave us all the options within our price range and was not pushy. We came back after a few weeks and was told that there was a piano coming in a few weeks that meet our criteria. Mitch called us when the piano arrived - we are very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend the store and Mitch if you are looking for to buy a piano.
Best customer service experience! I traded my piano in for a digital piano. Best value for my trade in, quality service, and excellent, quality Kawai digital piano. Im so happy I shopped here!
We have a very pleasant experience with Portland Piano Company.Mitch is very nice and helpful. The superior after-sale customer services is impressive!
Purchasing my first grand piano at Portland Piano Co. was a real pleasure. I was truly impressed by the genuinely inviting and inspiring atmosphere of the store and professionalism of the staff on site. Thanks to their guidance and support I was able to make the best choice within our budget and I would highly recommend their services. Special Thanks to Ron for taking the time to answer all my questions in detail and make me feel like home.Thank you!!-Mihai
Purchased a used Yamaha U1 piano from Portland Piano. Saw an ad on Craigslist, spoke with Mitch and got a price over the phone. Went to the store that weekend to check out the piano. It was as described in the ad, paid the money, and walked out all in about 15 minutes. Got a call from the delivery person on Monday and it was delivered on Thursday. Just like that. It was simple, fast, and smooth. Mitch also provided a few piano teachers in the area. I strongly recommend Portland Piano. Very professional and friendly service.
I recently purchased a 6-foot outstanding Fazioli piano from Portland Piano. It was a long process that took close to five months. From falling in love with the brand while playing it in the showroom during the depth of winter to finally purchasing it during the summer. Throughout the whole process I felt cared for and never, ever pushed. The sales pitch was there but done in an elegant, friendly and very caring way. Bill Lewis was an excellent salesman and Mitch offered me a deal I could not pass on! Now I am the proud owner of my dream piano. I can now hear and get the sounds my mind hears. My students will benefit from it, and my musical colleagues are beyond thrilled! Thank you Portland Piano Company for leading me gently through the daunting and lengthy process of selecting a dream companion.
Large inventory of different pianos. Even though I didnt buy one, Justin was very helpful and informative.
Thank you Brenda for your assistance, courtesy, and informative but NO pressure approach in helping us find a wonderful piano for our home! Portland Piano Companys superior reputation is well deserved!
We recently purchased a used piano from Portland Piano Company. Our sons piano teacher recommended us to this store. Mitch showed us several options new and used that were in our budget. The experience was pleasant and we didnt feel pressured. He answered all of our questions and was eager to find out specific facts about the piano. We were torn between one European used upright and a new Japanese upright. We liked the tone and action of the used piano but was unfamiliar with the brand. A safer choice would be to purchase the new Japanese upright.Mitch was patient in explaining the pro and con between the two. We finally decided to buy the used upright.Mitch was willing to work with us and was patient in responding to our questions. We are new piano buyer and so we are unfamiliar with all the nuances of different make and model of pianos although we had read and done our research via The Piano Book and and online. The whole experience of buying a piano was pleasant. They gave us time to think and compare and we felt that there were room for us to breath between questions and uncertainty. Mitch was there when we needed to ask questions but gave us space when we needed to be left alone to think and talk. The piano was delivered yesterday morning and we loved our new (used) piano.Thank you Mitch.
I had the most wonderful experience working with the good people at Portland Piano Company. Terry Robson, coordinator of concert and event services, helped select a beautiful new Kawai baby grand for an series of concerts we were producing. I will be happy and most confident to recommend Portland Piano Company to anyone in need of any piano services.
Really friendly and been in the business a long time! Very versed in their field!👊
I bought a kawai piano from portland piano company 2 months ago. we love our piano so much! the boss is so nice and Ron too! we had a very happy purchase experience with them. good service, friendly, professional advice...... I would highly recommend this Piano Company!
Large selection of Japanese, European, and American pianos as well as Chinese ones with decent prove range. The sales person was very friendly and attentive.
Very helpful salesman and great selection on used pianos.
I purchased a Shigeru Kawai piano at Portland Piano Company three months ago. I am thrilled with my piano! I appreciated the help of the sales people, and they were very patient with my process as I came in to play different pianos on many different days over two months. I did not feel any pressure, but felt that they were interested in helping me find the right piano for me, and that they wanted to help me in that process. I would highly recommend Portland Piano Company.
I had a recital here, everthing is very well organized and clean.
Excellent customer service and willing to go extra mile to keep you happy no matter what. Superb piano selection at a reasonable price.
We needed to downsize and sell our beautiful piano, and Mitch came to our rescue!! He handled everything for us and we are so grateful!!
Great place, and friendly and knowledgeable salespeople.
Knowledgeable and good prices for new and used pianos
I just purchased a Kawai CA67 Digital Piano from Portland Piano Company. Both Mitch and Ron were both very nice and extremely professional. I would highly recommend PPC for the best price and customer service.
Beautiful pianos at all price points. Theres a guy working there who used to be a rock star!
Portland Piano Company is amazing!A couple of years ago, PPC donated a beautiful baby grand piano to be auctioned at a charity event to benefit CureJM, an organization funding research to cure children suffering from a rare autoimmune disease (juvenile dermatomyositis). I have a very personal connection to this charity, as my nephew suffered with the disease and ultimately passed away at age 10. For years, I have attended the yearly events, and for as long as I can remember, Ron Allen, who works for Portland Piano Company, has passionately served as the evening’s auctioneer.Every year there are different and special auction items, but a couple years ago, PPC donated a piano, and my husband and I were thrilled to be the winning bidders. PPC reached out right away to schedule delivery. My husband and I were building a new home, and we inquired about holding off on delivery until our new home was completed. We thought it would only be a year or so. We offered to pay for storage. The owner, Mitch Paola, insisted on covering the storage fees and agreed to store the piano until our house was done.We experienced many construction delays and instead of a completion date of summer 2017, our house was not completed until February 2019. I contacted Ron Allen as soon as we were ready for delivery, and PPC unwrapped, cleaned, tuned, and delivered our piano in a matter of days.I’ve been touched by this whole experience for a few reasons: 1) one of PPC’s employees, Ron Allen, has given his time, energy, and talents to help CureJM raise money year after year; 2) PPC donated an expensive and beautiful instrument for charity; and 3) Mitch Paola and Ron Allen went above and beyond in customer service, storing our piano much longer than anticipated, and getting it delivered so quickly — all without charging us a dime. They got nothing for the piano or all that extra effort.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your charitable donation and for the extremely kind and generous way we were treated. If anyone is in the market for a piano, Portland Piano Company is the kind of company you should want to support. I will recommend them to everyone I know!Shannon Rickard
Very friendly, nice people. Beautiful selection of pianos
Couldnt have been better. We bought a Yamaha C3, very gently used. No pressure, answered all questions, let us look and play for as long as we wanted and reserved our piano until we had an independent RPT inspect it. Mitch quickly fixed the two small issues our RPT found. Delivered in perfect shape and on time. Great service. Will buy our next piano from Mitch. Thanks.
We made a trip to Portland from out of state because Portland Piano Company carried a range of higher-end pianos than were available anywhere in our home state. We were impressed by the quality of the pianos in their showrooms and by the customer service we received. We found the 6-foot Shigeru Kawai that we were looking for and Mitch Paola helped arrange its shipment to our home. We couldnt have asked for a better experience or a better piano for our price range.
The people who work here made my day. And the pianos and magnificent for the price.
I am on cloud 9 with my awesome piano. a Boston Grand that we had outfitted with the latest technology QRS system AND also the recording strip function. Im new at playing piano, just learning to read music, but having such a beautiful sounding piano gives me inspiration to practice several hours a day...so far Ive mastered a few pieces like Bachs Prelude & Fuge in C major well enough to post on YouTube.I love the fact that IF i want to upgrad to something even grander than my Boston Grand...theyll credit me what I paid...its a win win situation and I may take them up on this offer, but only IF I become much better at playing piano...something Ive wanted to do since I was a toddlar, but never got what I begged, pleaded and cried for too many years until now.Im 66 yrs old, so im on a fast-pace learning challange...no time to waste so I spend at least several hours practicing. And when i want to listen to Liberace, or Manheim Steamroller, I log onto PNO3 QRS system and enjoy having most beautiful music played by the best of the best. Were hosting musical concerts in our home...just have my piano playing flawlessly...people are amazed and impressed.A big thanks to Park Lafeit whos been helping me for over a year in choosing a piano I loved as well as negotiating a great deal...i feel like i got a very good deal after doing some research and shopping online, i know I made the right choice with purchasing from Portland Piano Co.Mitch and Brenda were very helpful in getting my piano ready, sooner than expected and delivered on time too!I have to pinch myself everytime I sit on my piano bench every single morning and its hard not to play early in the mornings or middle of the night, and wake everyone up!PS...my piano teacher LOVES my piano, so shes enjoying playing it as well...we in turn get to enjoy her talents as shes a gifted musician, has been playing 60+ yrs....she makes my Boston SING like an Angel.
Great customer service and expert advice. Their free music concerts are exceptionally good most of the time.
Great place to shop and very nice staff
I went to two other piano stores before going to Portland Piano Company. And I was impressed by the salesman who was not only knowledgeable but who treated us with respect. We probably bought the least expensive piano in the store but he treated us as if we bought the most prized piano in the store. I enjoyed shopping at this store even though I dont enjoy shopping in general. Because of my low earnings I have been looking at craig list for several weeks but I am so glad that I got an excellent used piano (Yamaha T116) at the best prize with unbelievable warranties and services at Portland Piano Company.Thank you Porltand Piano Company for giving us an opportunity to own a great piano.
