Walked in at 1pm today. Was out the door not even 2-3 mins later. Asked about building a pretty large deck and the lady at the customer service desk seemed annoyed that I’d ask such a question. Didn’t even try to give me prices or anything. Just shut me down. Sucks when you try to shop local and the customer service is bad. Won’t be using or recommending Ziggy’s to anyone.Worst part is you guys had not a single clue how much I was ready to spend. Unfortunate loss for you guys on top of making sure people don’t use you guys for building supplies.

We shop here a lot, and they always take good care of us. We recently bought a shed from them, and they worked with us on delivery dates and set up. I have and will continue the recommend Ziggys to everyone.

Low inventory hardware chain in oversized industrial digs with Forklift Races!!!Last week I went to load up some shingles and blew right through the little stop sign like usual (because no one is ever there to give your receipt to). I was loading up and really enjoyed watching three employees on forklifts going in circles chasing each other! Then.... THEN... they lined up for a low-speed drag race! How fun! I just kept loading. And loading... Lucky thing Im honest and only loaded up what I paid for (as far as theyyyy kno.. hee heee!).Then I drove out and one of them chased me down it looked like. I wasnt going to stop! I allegedly had extra shingles! (or not)I swear everyone that works at Ziggys must have to pass a positive drug test... check THIS out:I walked up to the counter once and four employees were standing there chatting, on the phone, whatever. They just sort of stared at me. Another customer was standing there. I said, Whats going on? He says, No clue. Theyre just standing here staring at us. Its sort of creepy. Like, he actually SAID that! Then a fifth employee walks up and grabs something at the counter and turns and leaves. Pretty sure he was the manager. So then I was like, YO! and they sort of snapped out of it.Pro Tip: When you drive around to get your lumber, dont even stop at that stop sign to hand your yellow receipt to an loader person... because theyre not there! The in the know people just cruise on through and load their own lumber themselves. Saves soooo much time!But yeah, their prices are good when they have stuff in stock. So I keep coming back. Its like a relationship I cant break off. Especially since ACE Hardware quit serving the COVID-laced popcorn. BOO! I miss my meals at ACE.But back to the Ziggys review – Yeah, so 3 stars to Ziggys for being weird but entertaining. Construction whenever! Forklift races forever!

Good prices but very poor service. The salesman wouldnt look up a door lockset to see if it could be ordered. The yard kid didnt want to work or call someone over to help him load 20 pcs. of 12ft. sheetrock so I had to help load it even though Im old enough to be his grandfather. Plus he just watched as I had to straighten the stack on my trailer after each pc. since he obviously didnt care.

Ziggys is a great local hardware/building supplier. The staff know what they are doing and can actually talk there actual trade with you, unlike the box stores. Ziggys always has product in stock and is the go to place for all my building needs.

Went in to buy four items, found one. This review based on that trip. Have been in several times picking up lumber and no problem. Even the yard worker sorting through and picking better lumber for me. This trip needed plumbing supplies and lack of products was the issue. More than likely a supply problem, Ive seen it in couple of other stores with certain items in low supply or nonexistent.

They have the best customer service at this ziggys location.

Ok, I buy a whole lot of building materials. Ziggys is one of my go to sources. They stock all the really important items at fair prices. And on the rare occasions when I have a question I appreciate being able to ask someone who is knowledgeable and honest.

One star is too much. Heres the deal with Ziggys. I went in there last week and thought 13 Sheets of paneling at $8 a sheet. I brought my invoice in there today and they told me that they sold me the wrong materials and that the material that I actually wanted is $27 a sheet. The manager said they called me to tell me. Which they did not. He later admitted they didnt have my phone number. At the end of the day I did not get my materials because I was not going to pay $27 a sheet for paneling. I had my electrician schedule for Friday now I have to reschedule. I had my painter scheduled for today and tomorrow that also had to be canceled. I insisted that Ziggys eat the difference as it was their mistake they told me to pound sand. I have it all on video and told him I was going to post a video to get community comments and he threatened me that he would take action against me to have the video taken down. Ziggys is willing to sick their legal team on at the client today just screwed.

Great place to shop for all your home improvement projects. I find the prices are better here, than the prices at the Home Depot. This place has some products on display so you can shop yourself, but all of their building supplies, like lumber, metal roofing, and concrete, etc. you have to order at the desk, then drive around back to pick them up. I have had to wait a little for someone to get my order but it is usually pretty quick and easy.

Very Helpful staff. Even in the busy hours took the time to research and answer all of our questions and even when the item we where looking for was not in there store they tracked down the items and told us which store carried what we wanted and how much of it they had in stock. A Very Helpful Staff. :) Larisa is the Best! :)

Some of the people are rude, they assume the type of board you want and sell you the cheap stuff. I dont agree with that you should ask your customer what they would like not just sell them what you think they would want.

My friend BOUGHT lumber from here for her sons Eagle Scout project and they treated her horribly. Her husband is working out of state and the manager/employees completely took advantage of her. So disappointed and angry. She was in tears.

Ziggy’s Home ImprovementZiggy’s is a lumber store that is not only great at improving your home, but is a great place to build a home. Ziggy’s has everything from simple paint, to all the things needed to build a home. The store Ziggy’s it self is known for their simple hospitality and for being local. The slogan of Ziggy’s (“Ziggy’s YEAH Ziggy’s) is a Known by most locals.On our trip through Ziggy’s, my boyfriend and I were first greeted by what I assume to be a saleswoman. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our question and help us get what we needed efficiently. We were looking for what to use to build some raised bed planters for our front porch. After asking her what was the best material to use, she suggested that we use pressure treated lumber. She suggested that pressure treated lumber was best because it has the ability to not rot over like regular wood can. After the saleswoman gave us some advice she gave us all the screws and bed liner we would need to get the job done. She then gave us a ticket to drive back to the warehouse and get our lumber. We got in our truck and drove around the building. Once we got to the stop sign we were greeted by a loader. We gave them the slip that the saleswoman gave us. The loaders then led us to our lumber and loaded in the truck for us and we were off. The whole experience maybe took us 30 minutes. We got home and built our flower beds with the materials we were given and it worked great!Many people will say that the time we spent at Ziggy’s was too long. I believe that the time spent was reasonable considering that we did not exactly know what we needed to build our flower beds. The price at ziggy’s may be slightly higher then places such as Home Depot or Lowes. This is because Ziggy’s seems to be more local. Considering that they only have six stores, it is impossible for them to match the prices of them. This being said it is still a good idea to buy local and support small businesses for the future of our community. Another common complaint that I hear about Ziggy’s is the lack of stock. The problem being that there are only six store in total. That being said it is very difficult for them to be able to keep stock of materials that rival corporate companies also need the same materials. If Ziggy’s and Home Depot both want the same lumber, of course Home Depot will get the unit before Ziggy’s. This is because the bigger the store, the bigger the wallet. Often times people compare places like Home Depot and Ziggy’s the main difference is that Ziggy’s sells more lumber and things to actually build a house. Home Depot tends to make things like light fixtures and small trim for houses. Even though Ziggy’s may say “Home Improvement” it mainly has things to build a home.In conclusion, we both really enjoyed our experience at Ziggy’s. We have tried to go to places like Lowes and they just didn’t have the materials we were looking for. Although the other store do have a better selection for things such as tables, lights, windows and more. The experience at Ziggy’s was fascinating and fun. They have a huge warehouse in their Post Falls store. Not only that but the people were kind and friendly. My boyfriend and I had a great experience and got exactly what we needed to finish our project.
