Wow! What a great tour! JJ shared the rich history of the brewery and Yuengling family with a very informative walk-through of their original and still operating brewing facility in Pottsville. Highly recommended!!!!

Had a great time on our tour today! Guide was funny and extremely knowledgeable of the company. We had our 3 kids (all under 10) with us on the tour today and our guide did great with them and kept them interested while we went through. Best part was the tasting room at the end, especially when the kids were allowed to pour their first root beer. Will be making the trip back with other family/friends that come visit us here in PA.

The brewery tour was really cool and interesting. It was really neat to see the history of a 6 generation family business and how they have navigated the challenges of the times. The brewery was the second and you can see the technology change throughout the years. Definitely worth a stop.

This is by far the BEST brewery tour we have taken! What would you expect from Americas Oldest Brewery? They really do an amazing job making you feel like you stepped into a time machine! From the beginning of the tour going into the caves, to standing up top of the big kettle and looking out of the stained glass windows....to getting up close and personal to the canning line. They really show you how its done here on this little brewery built into the side of the mountain. The samples at the end are always a treat and the gift shop has stuff for every budget of Yuengling fan!Try to make it a point to stop here. Then afterwards head south on Rt. 61, hit up Port Clinton Hotel, Port Clinton Peanut Shop, Cigar International and of course Cabelas!

It was great to finally get up here. Everyone on staff was pleasant and professional, and the tour was fantastic. Unlike other tours Ive been on at different breweries, the Yuengling tour had much more character. From the cave below the original building to the bar and manufacturing floor, you felt for those thirty minutes that youd spun into a time warp and were a part of an important history that spans six generations. Definitely leave with some collectibles from their large gift shop.

What a great way to spend a few hours. Yuengling knocks it out of the park with this tour and gift shop. The tour was incredibly interesting, even for the non beer drinkers in our group. The building has some great history and is fascinating to look at. Wear sturdy shoes for the caves and stairs. The gift shop had very reasonable prices. All in all worth the drive. Especially worth it if you live anywhere in northeastern or central Pennsylvania or eastern NJ.

Very interesting history here. Went with some friends for a tour of the brewery. The tour itself is free as long as you schedule in advance (even day before or day of can be ok if they have the availability). We got there about an hour early and coincidentally another group had canceled so they took us on an earlier tour right away. The tour guide was nice and super knowledgeable. Best of all they let you sample a couple beers at the end in their tasting room! Nothing beats free beer of any quantity! They might even give you a taste of a beer still in the works and unreleased if theyve got any.

Ive been a fan of Yuengling ever since I had it down in FL. I was in town visiting family and hour away and figured Id better take the tour. Ive been to the AB brewery but Yuengling is so different because its still has the original part of the brewery and they actually have a working machine shop on location. The whole tour was very personable as the guide was actually interested in where everyone was from and had personal conversations with everyone. My brother had his 4 month old with us and they went above and beyond to get him a cup of hot water to thaw out the babys milk. Next time Im in town I will definitely take the tour again.

Such a fun experience! Tours run every hour until 3pm and are FREE! The staff is so nice and our tour guide was fantastic. You get to walk through the tunnels and walk through the production area and see the cans being filled and boxed for shipment. The tour ends in a cute little bar area where you get a free tasting of whichever beer they have to offer. If in the area, you should check it out. It costs nothing. Parking is a little tricky but they have a small stone lot down the hill behind the building. Make sure to have closed toe shoes and be prepared to walk some stairs.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and decided to add this tour to the itinerary. He decided to purchase a few souvenirs beforehand, but had to wait while JJ finished her task of removing labels before she rang up his purchases. During the tour we continually got our hand slapped for tarrying a few seconds while taking a few photos. I felt rushed and anxious and found it difficult to enjoy the tour. At the end while waiting at the bar for my two free samples, JJ purposely ignored me and served the man behind me. I’ve rarely felt so disrespected by a person in customer service. Rude from beginning to end. Very disappointing. Aside from the rude tour guide, the history and mechanics of the brewery were really interesting.

We are fans of Yuengling beer so coming to the brewery was high on our list when we happened to be close by. The tour was great as well as the gift shop. I especially enjoyed the free tasting after the tour was over. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and we had a really good time. One thing to note is you have to have closed toe shoes to be allowed to go in the tour. If you don’t have a pair you are able to purchase some at the gift shop for a fair price.

After numerous trips North and South on 81 I had the opportunity today finally visit yuengling brewery in Pottsville Pennsylvania. Just a short drive off of 81 either North or southbound you come into the thriving town of Pottsville after negotiating many one-way streets I finally arrived at the brewery three very large buildings located on the side of a hill. I checked into the gift shop where the tours originate. I received a wristband and waited for the tour to start. Tour last about 40 minutes and goes through the entire facility as well as the history of the company which to date is 192 years continuous operation in the United States. The tour ends in the rathskeller, where you are treated to two samples of their numerous products. As someone who consumes yuengling I was interested in trying some of the products I have never seen on sale. One in fact a product called Chesterfield is not sold outside of the state of Pennsylvania. The entire process from the time I got there to the time I left took about 2 hours and its worth the trip for any beer consumer. And when in the area I would return.

Went to Pottsville to tour the Yuengling Brewery. Very interesting historical tour of the facility and the history of the company. Amazing to see the original building and hear the development history of it and company. The tasting room is a great opportunity to try a variety of their different brews. The store has a wonderful selection of mementos, clothing, beers, and man cave items. I also found the drive thru town interesting to see how it is built into the side of the mountain. Some of the streets give San Francisco a run for its money. Plenty of venues grab lunch or dinner with a variety of foods.
