I took my 88 year old father to the Poway Costco hearing aid center and worked with a gentleman named Edgar. Edgar gave my dad a hearing test and then invited me into the booth afterwards to discuss the results. Edgar was professional, patient and answered all of our questions. Edgar had my dad try on several different hearing aids and then allowed my dad to step into the store to hear how they sounded. My dad was amazed at all of the sounds he had been missing for years. In fact, I think it was a bit overwhelming for him.My father wasn’t ready to make a purchase just then. Edgar understood, didn’t push the issue, and provided us with his contact information. After getting home we discussed the hearing aids and their benefits. My dad agreed he needed hearing aids and decided to get them. We called Edgar back, made an appointment and met with him a few days later. The 2nd appointment with Edgar was equally professional and my dad decided on a pair. Edgar ordered the hearing aids and said they’d be here in 10 days.Returning 10 days later, Edgar spent close to an hour setting up and fine tuning the new hearing aids for my dad. My dad has now had them for two weeks and is really getting used to them. Much faster than he or I thought he would. I asked my dad what he likes most about them so far and he said, ‘I no longer feel I’m missing out on conversation.’ Oh, ‘and I now hear water running in the sink when it’s on!’
Just came back from Costco Poway. Have have added new hearing aid center with two booths. However Charles has same non-sense service as always. tried his best to not to provide service. Lied and gave false excuse. Not sure why we keep Costco membership when they keep giving use hard time. It just started few years ago and continuously happening . their overall service at Poway is going down year over year.
Unprofessional, uncaring and always make mistakes. their cost is cheaper but with crapy service. They never explain and expose model numbers they sale. they could be charging whatever they like without telling what they are selling. The wait is too long, sometimes months. single mold takes months to get it done and finalize. sometimes they give misleading and wrong excuse to cover their inefficiency and lack to interest to work and help solve customer concern.
Live the service and hearing aids
