Great experience buying a shotgun. Friendly and helpful. Called before I went into the store to see if they had the one I wanted. The lady that first answered and directed me to the firearms department sounded angry at me but besides that an excellent experience.

We found what we were looking for and a cashier promptly checked us out.

I think I talked to at least 10 employees throughout this store. I am amazed at how extremely nice and helpful every single employee was in this location. Great job Academy!

Always a good experience here. Employees actually go out of their way to help customers. Great prices on boat cover and I bought 3 lures. Lady at checkout ( May) was very cheerful and helpful.

We just went for some shoes but found good deals on some clothing and handles for our isolated cup we had purchased from Academy a year ago.

Normally Im very impressed with academy sports, and dont get me wrong this store was clean the service was friendly and prompt. However, supplies are low, even though thats not their fault. Would have liked to have been able to find more of what I wanted.

Very nice store, stop and shop if you have the time.

10/10 would recommend the academy in prattville al !! my friend lost her keys and all the available workers were helping to find them. specifically the man up front manning the doors, the workers in the boot department, and the very nice woman manager (i’m pretty sure she was a manager) !! they were very helpful and great employees that need some recognition (:

I had ordered some boots from Academy Sports an had a issue with them. The customer service team worked hard to solve the problem but no such luck finding another pair by Christmas. Busy. We went in for gift cards, lines were super long, almost all the way to the fitting rooms. Only 3 registers open. They finally opened another, we were in and out in under 15-20 minutes.

Customer service is terrible in the hunting department. Called on a few different occasions to check on ammo and get treated like I’m dumb for calling. The website says limited supply. Hard to drive 45 minutes for nothing. Just called a few minutes ago and was put on hold for it to just hang up after 5 minutes.

Whoever was working in the gun department at 530 today needs a serious lesson in customer service. I tried using my camera on my phone to zoom in on a gun tag as the sales person was with someone else he told me I couldn’t take a picture so when I asked if he would tell us what the shotgun was (I couldn’t read the tag from behind the counter) he very rudely told me I would have to talk to corporate. Since when do you have to call corporate to find out what one of the shotguns y’all have is? You don’t want to help me fine, you don’t have to get my money.

For the last few months its almost like they are going out of business. They dont seem to be replacing stock. They list items as in stock on the website but when you go over to pick it up, the shelf is empty. Maybe they are looking to get out of the brick and mortar stores, sure seems like it. I hope that is not the case..... well I guess Amazon gets my business again.

Price tag was missing from location, was labeled as $40 went up to the registrar and it was almost $90.

I love this dang place its always fun here and theres new stuff on sale all the time. Me and my friends come here to look at stuff we cant afford and talk about buying it like we actually can!

Great everyday prices on Magellan coats which are great quality at a fantastic price. On Cyber Monday (and actually through 3 Dec 2019 I believe) could even order online for 30% off and ship to home. Nicole and another associate were knowledgeable, honest about their products/brand expectations (which I appreciate more than anything and influenced me greatly to buy the coats knowing what I am actually getting and what to actually expect) and extremely helpful. My kids commented that they were so nice and that they wished every store treated people that nicely.

Great place to run in a pick up things you need when your in a hurry. Customer service is great and they handle the covid 19 for them and the customers professionally.

Pretty good location. Easy to get in and get out. The guy at the gun counter was very nice and told me about the online ordering where you can get alot more selection than just what that particular store has. I ended up buying some fishing pants that were on clearance. Store employees all seemed to be in good mood and were friendly.

They have a lot of product on the sales floor but you almost have to beg for help in the shoe department. And it was very obvious that the salesman at the gun counter only wanted to sale to certain people. Which was fine with me, so I purchased at bass pro shop. And the only difference between us and the people that he was happy to help was the way we look....... Im not begging anyone to take my money.
