I went in the store, by myself, and no one else was there except the owners. They seemed nice, but I looked around, and suddenly, I feel someone tap my shoulder. I turned around and saw the lady, looking at me. I was scared, because I usually dont like people tapping my shoulder...Anyway, she started saying something, I did not understand. I kept walking around, and everything was overpriced. Whenever I tried to touch something, they would follow me and when I tried to put it back, they kept insisting they would do it.Maybe they were trying to be nice, but I felt uncomfortable. 🀨😐

I love the store, has good anime items, fidget toys and cute things. It can be expensive I think most stuff is imported from korea or Japan (I think or other places), but very worth it. Also I saw reviews of people saying they followed them around, I am pretty sure the owners are korean and for some reason someone in Korea told me workers can sometimes follow u around the store so yea also the workers are very sweet

I am very upset. My daughter got a toy and needed to return it just few minutes later and the lady said not returns. My daughter should have bean told this when she was buying the item. Yet the lady did t say anything and then showed her a small plaque with small print. Nice work. Customer service is horrible. Trying to cheat a child is rude and just wrong. You should be ashamed of yourselves for not giving my daughter her money back only few minutes after the purchase.

Nice little Japanese store in downtown Princeton. They have quality Japanese items, and a wide selection of them. The reason that I rated it 3 stars though, is because the items are overpriced, and the staff owners will follow you around the store, making sure you dont steal anything. Now, I know that they want to prevent shoplifting, but its just downright creepy. But overall, I think its a nice store.

They had so much cool stuff. However the reason they get two stars is that the stuff is over priced and the owners are really rude they followed you around and when I went to take a couple photos they yelled at me in front of the other guests. I didn’t see their sign and wouldn’t have taken the photos if I had known and a simple please don’t take photos would have been best.

This place has some really cute stuff but is a mixed bag for me. The store is always clean and well organized, and they have a LOT of things, but its a very small store so expect cramped shopping. Prices can be high sometimes but hey its Princeton. Besides import Asian items they have lots of western items that are good for gifts like cards, cups, childrens books, gag gifts, etc. Buyer beware they do carry a couple bootlegs (namely I have seen some bootleg pokemon/Nintendo plush, Keychains, anime shirts, and figures) but it is mostly name brand or real import things. Its not trying to be a store aimed at collectors anyway. Also the staff (I assume owners?) Are not usually knowledgeable about what they carry. You can ask about a product (like do you have this? Or Is that item ____ brand/series?) and I have gotten dismissive responses like I have no idea. Also despite being called Morning Glory the store is super lacking in import stationery which is usually a staple of those stores. There arent ANY large memo pads or letter/envelope sets, only a few small memo pads and lined notebooks and clear files, then a good selection of erasers/ stickers/pens and pencil cases.

First time ever coming here and the Asian lady gave me an uneasy rushy feeling which is why I didn’t end up buying anything. She took the thing my boyfriend was holding and was going to buy and told him that it was the wrong price that was originally on the item. He didn’t end up buying the item. Cute items, but horrible shopping experience. Definitely not coming here ever again.

Although the store has few cute trinkets and stationery and I didnt mind the prices, the owners seem very unfriendly. We picked up few items from the back of the store and were looking at other items near the counter and the owner repeatedly checks on us to see if we are done yet. It was just uncomfortable and we felt rushed, and despite buying a lot of items they werent friendly at the checkout!

Went today with my 13yr old. So much to look at!!! Would have given 5 stars but the store is very narrow and because it was a Saturday afternoon, it became overly crowded with people...made it hard to really take everything in. But overall its an adorable store. Definitely going back when kids are in school!

Very rude staff, overpriced items, would not recommend the staff were hovering over as if we would steal something and when we went to buy something we were told it was already sold.(doesn’t matter if it is sold or she was lying if it was sold it should not have been on the shelf) As soon as we went to the register she pulled out a sticker and put it on the the item she then said we could not take any photos.

Do not buy anything from these extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming store owners!!I was a bit desperate this afternoon being that my parking meter had just turned red, so I popped in this particular store and politely apologized before asking if it wasnt too much trouble to get change for a dollar to fill the meter. The woman behind the counter shook her head and said she couldnt open the register and then proceeded to help 3 people in line. So trying to go with the flow I decided to purchase a small packet of mini m&ms and get change that way. After waiting my turn she said something under her breath to her husband in another language and then proceeded to charge me $3.20 cents for an item that would cost maybe .60 cents in any other store. As i walked out of the store I couldnt but help notice at all the happy feel good trinkets and smiley face bobbles staring down at me as I counted my change and walked out of this store vowing to tell all and never come back.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE HERE! My 6 year old son used $6 of his birthday money to buy a slingshot rocket here. We took it to the University to try it out. On the FIRST attempt it broke, we tried to salvage it, but it was clear it was busted. I should have know it was total junk, amade in China novelty, and only $6,but he was so enthralled, I allowed him to buy it. We went back to the store and explained what had happened and the rude female woman (seemed like the owner), simply said: NO! No, your child broke this. I explained that he used it once and it fell apart and wed like our money back. She was incredibly rude and refused again and again and again. After further explanation and more refusal, I told her I wasnt leaving until she gave my son back the $6 he wasted on a junky toy. At this point an older man, (her husband?) came over, inspected the toy, and basically yelled at her (not in English). She then pounded open the register and ACTUALLY THREW THE $6 at me! Unbelievable! I have NEVER experienced something like this! Over a $6 piece of junk! And then, to explain everything to my 6 year old who was just upset about his new toy being broken, has to witness such a ridiculous altercation! Stay away from this store! TERRIBLE!

So cuteee, you just want to buy all of it. However, it is very overly expensive so I most if the time come to look around maybe buy some pins and pencils/pens and then if I find something I really love which is extremely expensive, I remember it and then go on Amazon and buy it. Its usually alot cheaper there.

Pusheen and Japanese pop culture heaven! This store is amazing. I come here often to continue fueling my addiction to Pusheen! and grab other things as well. Great selection of pretty much everything you can think of! Toys, plushies, bags, collectibles of ALL kinds, purses, mugs, wallets, candy, food, soooooo many things it would literally take me forever to write them all down! Everything is very fairly priced and all their merchandise is 100% authentic. The store is run by a husband and wife I believe and they are both so sweet and helpful. I love being greeted by the nice lady behind the counter, she is always smiling and joking with you. The only thing I wish was different is the size of the store, it’s very cramped and they have so much awesome stuff that has to be hidden away somewhat so they can put things on display. I hope they consider opening a larger store! I absolutely love Morning Glory, would recommend it to everyone. I bought 60$ worth of goodies today, a Pusheen plush, a Pusheen coloring book, awesome double sided colored pencils, a cute medicine container and an adorable little fox that covers my tooth brush. They gave me a free pack of Hi Chew candy which I thought was a very nice little thank you for my purchase. Great costumer service. They value their customers.
