I really like Glow oil and recommend them often. Their oil prices are always competitive and more times than not, are lower than local competitors. The office staff is friendly, helpful, and do their best to expedite oil deliveries and service. The technicians are knowledgeable and respectful. I called Glow for servicing of my heating system and they fit us in the same day even though we didnt have a service contract. It was a cold day and was going to continue to get older so their timely service was greatly appreciated!
This was Nicks second cleaning he has done for us and we look forward to him coming for the next one! Did a great job. He was very neat and clean. No smelly oil smell after he was done. He pointed out something that was not up to the new standards that should be corrected without pushing us to do it on this visit. He is a big asset of Glow Oil!
Great company to do business with, honest and dependable!
We have searched relentlessly for data regarding best practice for deploying and using oil heat. Glow Oil has answered more questions via their web portal than any supplier in the mid-Atlantic Region. Informed customers typically make better decisions. When dealing with other (unnamed suppliers) and asking the same or similar questions one might get the impression we asked for their vote(s) or access to the corporate 401k Plan. It has taken an inordinant amount of research time gathering the same information that Glow Oil freely shares with the general public. Wishing your enterprise continued success. Please note: Sylvia could not have transcribed this volume of data during our phone conversation, Monday, 12Feb2018.
I had a scheduled cleaning a month and a half in advance and they still had me waiting hours without even a call to let me know of the delay. I called and they said the one service tech was on an emergency call in Woonsocket which is a good 35-45 minute drive to get here. No common courtesy whatsoever. I’ve already been waiting 4 hrs. The worst part is that when I scheduled the appointment 6 weeks ago, I was specific in saying I needed them to be here early morning because I needed to be somewhere. Now, I’m going to have to reschedule. My boiler is very loud and I hope nothing happens between now and the time I can get another appointment. I am extremely frustrated with the total disregard for my time!
Ive been a customer for years and have always received prompt, courteous service which have always addressed any issues Ive had with my heating system.
After years of using other methods to heat our home, last winter (2015) we decided to fire up the oil heat, and called this company for delivery. When they realized that our in-ground tank did not have a whistle, they advised that wed have to just order 100 gallons at a time (their minimum), and schedule deliveries to be just as were running low. We did that all winter long with no problems. Since this arrangement worked so well and they made no further mention of the whistle, we did not get it fixed over the summer. When we ordered for the first time this season (first week of November), they came out but refused to deliver due to the lack of whistle. I called and spoke to someone, reminding them about what we had done last year, and he sent someone back out to deliver. Once again I was told wed have to schedule things like last year. Now I try to order again (middle of December), knowing that were running low and looking at a frigid weekend, and Im told that they will not deliver to me until I have a working whistle. This would require me to dig up my now-frozen yard! When I point out the fact they waited until the ground was frozen, they claim they left me a message to call them about this - at the end of November. The ground was already frozen at that point! When I asked why they didnt say something at the end of last season, so Id have been able to work on it over the summer, they said new regulations just went into effect. Of course, now that I try googling those new regulations, I cannot find a single thing. So now Im stranded, just before we have temperatures in the single digits. I get to either find a new oil company, or find someone willing to dig up my yard in this weather (and likely pay twice as much for it). This is on top of the fact that this company charges more than almost every other local company. Todays price is $2.14/gallon, while most other local places are charging $1.95/gallon.
Love the fast response time from Glow, they have been great about delivery and sending someone out when I had a problem.
Fast response to my application and answered my concerns. And competative pricing. Glad I came back after 3 years.
Very competent technician - identified plumbing issues related to a symptom at the hot water tank
Great price friendly staff
