This place is the best! I usually do all the repairs myself, but if there is something I cant quite figure out, I know these guys will fix it! Been going here for years now, and they have always come through- with no funny business involved!

Super overpriced. Charged me 7$ for every extra quart of oil brining my total price for a full synthetic oil change close to 90$. I’ve never ever paid for an oil change including the extra quarts any more than $70. Also, I thought it was supposed to be fast, in and out, especially since I was the only person there, but I waited for more than an hour. Will def not come back again. I only went there because the places I normally go to were all booked for the day and my oil was way past its change date and mileage. Then they told me that a new air filter would be 25$ but that he’d be able to take 5$ off. I agreed to get it. However, he then came back to tell me that my car needed a bigger fielder they didn’t have on hand and would need to be brought in. It would cost $38 and he wouldn’t be able to give me any discount on it. I wish he would have known what kind of air filter my car needed before giving me an inaccurate quote and having me agree to a different/lower price. I was able to pretty much beg him for some sort of discount and after telling me he couldn’t do a thing, he told me “oh yeah, if you’re a first time customer I can give you 10% off”. That saved me about 10 bucks, but still left paying more than I ever have for an oil change. Overall, just not a great experience.

I’ve been going to oil rig for several years now. I had tried them for an oil change once and was impressed with their service. Then, one time I came in and asked them to read the code on my car since the check engine light was on, and the guy who did it did it for free. That really helped garner my respect and my loyalty as a customer.You probably shouldn’t go there and expect to get services for free, but know that they’ll be considerate and professional on whatever you need done on your car. I love Oil Rig!

I was recommended to come to the shop by a very reliable source from a different shop these guys were awesome. They checked everything they took care of me and they did it in a timely manner at a decent price so bring your car here if you want honesty and a good price.

I got a recommendation to take my car to Oil Rig from one of my guy friends. Ive been so, so glad I did! I found them to be honest in their estimated price and recommended service my car needed. Im now a regular. The Provo location across from Smiths on Freedom Blvd is where my friend, who doesnt live nearby, said he trusted. They beat price of everyone I called. I didnt have to have an appointment, the staff was friendly, courteous and professional as well as extremely knowledgeable. Oil Rig has my business. I have an older car and little things do happen now and then. Its imperative that I have a automotive service that cares for my car correctly. I recommend them for any make, model or year of your car!

Cant say enough good things about Oil Rig! Good prices, fast service, and super helpful and friendly staff. They suggested doing some additional preventative maintenance when I went for an oil change but werent pushy about it. Would definitely keep getting my oil changes done here. He cleaned out my air filter without charging me also!

They allow medical exemptions from masks and are very friendly. Helped hold the door as I put my child in and out of the car and lobby. Wish they had some healthy snacks while waiting, like pretzels or something. And access to the remote control would be nice. But these are not that important.

Compared to the other quick lube places in the area, Oil Rig is a little better. Loved the free soda to we ven if it was generic brand. Staff were very friendly. Efficient service.

Great place!! They had me in and out quick and the hospitality was splendid. Will was extremely helpful and informing. Unfortunately I failed my emissions test but Will explained to me why, and where I can go to get the problem solved. He was extremely honest and even shared his own personal experience because we have similar cars with the same problems. And once I solve the problem they will redo my test for free! 10/10 will come back for future services.P.S. to the business owners, get this man Will a raise!! Or a solid Christmas bonus! 😉

Fast and well priced. I liked that they had comfortable couches to sit on while waiting. I also spectated that their prices were posted and clear so I wasnt surprised by the total when my car was done.

A little expensive but it’s always been quick, reliable, and the couch in the lobby is comfortable. I wish they would turn the tv down though, it makes it hard to read in there. They also have free water and (discount brand) soda.

GREAT STORY FOR WHY I RECCOMEND For a few months now, my serpentine belt has been doing the classic squeal that turns frustrated faces towards me and my beloved little car at intersections, and I decided for the sake of everyone to finally get it fixed. So I look up some mechanics and saw good reviews here, and went in to get it looked and expecting a replacement. They were right on time for what they said their wait time was or maybe a bit faster for the busiest part of the day. They checked out the belt, and quickly told me that my model had a manual adjustment option, and the belt was fine, just a little loose. They tightened it up, told me the news, and I was waiting fot the $50 service fee i would probably get. But they left me off the hook, and charged me Nothing. Very honorable experience! Two thumbs up!

I will never go to another shop after my experience here! I called at 4pm on a Friday for a last minute oil change and not only did they have availability, but they did it in 15 minutes! Incredible. Theyre super honest and a pleasure to talk to and work with. They dont try to upsell you but give you their honest opinion. They noticed that my brake pads were low and informed me that I had just a few more weeks on them. I went ahead and got them replaced, and they showed me the pads after for full transparency (I didnt need it, I trusted them anyway!)Do yourself a favor and GO HERE!

Such a great experience! We had them test a leak in our car on a Saturday and were in and out super fast. They didn’t have the part so they ordered it but replaced it first thing Monday morning, again super fast. They even waived the fee for the testing we did when they did the repair. These guys were easy to work with and had fair pricing. Will definitely come back!

Fast friendly service. They dont try to upsell you. Brought our Plymouth in and discovered our battery was shot. Its a second hand car, so it didnt surprise us. Ive always gone to Jiffy Lube, but after my experience today, I will go to Oil Rig from now on. They got me right in, gave me sound advice, and before I could finish my drink my car was done! They changed my oil way faster than any other place I’ve gone to, I was in and out in less than fifteen minutes! The price was relatively similar to other places I’ve been to, I paid $65 for a full synthetic oil change (good for 5000-6000 miles). They offer a 10% student discount, which was nice! They were friendly, explained everything clearly, and filled the coolant and wiper fluid at no charge, too. Will be coming back here next time!

And literially every person that works here, work -- not outve the interest for cars-- but primarily because they care about people and educating them about the systems of cars and the logic behind the automotive products/industry... I stopped in here one day because I needed to get a quick oil change, and I dont like going to Jiffy Lube because I always end up spending at least $100.00 by the time they upsell everything. (Sorry, Jiffy Lube, Im not saying its not all needed, just that I never really know, and sometimes I feel taken advantage of.) I was so pleased with the quick service and honest info on what my car needed, that I decided to come back with my other cars. We own quite a few cars, and I have taken several of them there now and been super happy with the service each time. In addition to oil changes, they told me they do some repairs, so I had them do the rear AC on our Suburban, which they did quickly and for a very reasonable price. AC repairs can be outrageous, so I really appreciated that! Then today, they said registration would be due soon, so I let them do the emissions and inspection, which again they did quickly and did not try to sell me tires, brakes or anything else I didnt need. (I dont t think they sell tires, but who knows?) What I did need was a few of the lights replaced, which again they did quickly and for a great price, after which they did the on the spot renewal, and even put the stickers on my car. That was the first time in years I have let a repair shop do my emissions/inspection because I got so sick of the up-selling .Its going to be sweet when the reminder card comes in the mail, and I already have that taken car of! On top of all this they have a clean waiting room with decent magazines on the table. Go here. Youll like it.

Id never go anywhere else. They have the best prices, the best employees, and the best service. We go here to get our oil changed regularly and are always pleased. Weve also had them work on a few other issues with our car and they always do a great job and give us student discounts every time. They have a comfortable waiting area with couches, a TV, a bathroom, and a fridge with free water and soda. I highly recommend this place!!!!!!!!

THEY HAD MY* BEST INTEREST IN MIND! (Not theirs). I am young and I dont know very much about cars and how to fix them so naturally I am always fearful of walking into a place and getting completely ripped off..These people were exceptional, they treated me with respect even though I look like a dupey, young kid. They provided the service I asked for and checked my car for other maintenance issues. They let me know about my air filter (it needed to be replaced) and offered to do the service for me at a discounted rate, they also told me how I could do it myself for a few dollars cheaper (WOW thats AMAZING, they didnt care about just making money off me, they had MY BEST INTEREST IN MIND). They also let me know that my tail light was out (I was unaware) and fixed it (with my permission) for literally $8..I cant imagine I could have done that much cheaper myself. They also noticed that one of my tires was low, and without making it a hassle or anything they just filled it up to the correct PSI for me. (I know they are good people because they didnt even mention to me that they had done that. (they didnt know I was watching when they did it) (Good people do good deeds when no one is watching, they didnt need to take the extra time to fill up my tire for me, but they did) They also gave me a 10% discount for being a first time customer, and told me that as a college student I am eligible for a 10% discount every time I get a service! COLLEGE STUDENTS GO HERE FOR SERVICE! I WAS IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN 25 MINUTES.

This place is great.Its affordable, an oil change is like 35 bucks. Unless you have an over sized oil tank, in which case they will charge you by the quart. But even then its only like 50 bucks to have done.WAY more affordable than other places like Jiffy Lube, where a standard oil change is at least 50 bucks.Also, the employees are respectful and honest. They are competent and professional.There was one time I had a little issue with my car after it had been serviced, they let me come back that same day and finished it free of charge. So when they do make mistakes (which is bound to happen sometimes, theyre only human) they are eager to fix it in a timely, fair manner.I also appreciate the fact that Ive never had an employee push me to make additional purchases. In other words, they do not try and take advantage of young, single women that they think dont know much about cars.Big contrast to other places where EVERY TIME I went they nit picked at every little thing in my car and treated it like a sales pitch. These other places did their best to persuade me to make purchases for things that I didnt even need. A few times they went ahead and did additional service to the car that I hadnt requested and tried to charge me for it. Oil rig is NOTHING like that. They are respectful of your needs and DONT try to conjure up additional problems with your car so they can make more money off of you.All in all, Oil Rig is the best place Ive been to. Ive been to many other competitors, Oil Rig stands for me as the best overall service at an affordable cost.

I was driving around trying to find a shop where I could get an oil change and not have to wait 2+ hours. I happened to drive past Oil Rig. I turned around and pulled in. They greeted me quickly and pulled my car right in. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Good price. Friendly staff. I will definitely be back.

I went in for an oil change. I chose this place because there were so many mentions of quick service in the reviews. It was very quick and the employee that assisted me was kind and helpful. The couches were comfortable and it was nice and air-conditioned. I appreciated that they didnt try to recommend tons of other repairs for my junky car, I was able to just get what I needed. I will definitely recommend them to others and come back to them in the future.

Ive gotten an emissions test and my oil changed here. 15 minutes each time. Theyre quick and fast. They even vacuum your car while working. The only mechanic I know that will tell you straight up whats going on with your car. He doesnt give you BS so you pay for stuff you dont need fixed on your car. Its a trick finding an auto mechanic that wont take advantage of someone lacking in car knowledge, but NOT this guy. Hes a real one. The prices are cheap and they talk to your understanding of cars. Oil rig is great! Their service was fast and professional. We had a side bar that had rusted to our car and when we took it to one car place, they said it was too difficult to remove. However, Oil Rig worked hard on it until they got it off. Our car looks so much better and safer! We will definitely be coming back to Oil Rig!

Been going here for years, usually quick ( naturally varies with demand), good price, and I trust them, they dont try to do a bunch of routine upsell. They will advise of issues when they see them but I dont feel like some places that try to upsell something on every visit. Used to just do oil changes, but now I have them do brakes etc.

Ive been bringing my car here on and off for about 8 years now, but is now under new ownership and has gotten a face lift. The new owner and staff are super professional and the place looks really nice. Not to mentioned they have a great base price on oil changes and other standard services, I can get it done here cheaper than with a coupon at Jiffy Lube. Im so impressed! Im always scared to take my car in because Ive had too many mechanics say things need to be replaced when they dont need to be or the mechanics will overcharge me. I took my car in earlier today to have the brakes replaced because the last time I got an oil change the mechanic said my brakes were getting low (said they were at a 2 and that I need to replace at 1). After taking my wheels apart, the mechanic came in and told me the brakes are only half used and that I dont need to replace them! They didnt even charge me for the time it took to pull everything apart. Best experience Ive had with a mechanic. Im moving to Lehi soon but Im more than happy to drive down to Provo to have Oil Rig work on my car. The prices seem great and the service is the most honest Ive ever seen. You guys just gained a forever customer.

An awesome place to get any car work done. They dont try to fix a million things that arent broken for you and steal your money, they are very honest and fair. They are also extremely fast when it comes to repairs, emissions testing or oil changes. They give big student discounts to change oil on motorcycles and cars.

The guys were nice and attentive. I did however pay much more for an oil change than expected. On top of the $70 dollar oil change, I was charged an extra $20 for my filter. I do realize that European cars can be tricky with pricing, however after the dozens of oil changes I’ve had, I never had to pay any where near 90+ dollars. Not to mention after receiving the parts number from the mechanic, I looked up the same filter online and found it for 7. Just be sure you’re okay with the prices before proceeding. Other than that, the place seemed ok.

Honest and Fair! Great family business. They are not out for the up-sell like the corporate oil change shops. I mention to Troy that my E Brake was not working, as he was doing my brake job. He fixed it for free. I know he had to do a lot more work on my Brakes than he planed on. Cause I hung over his shoulder and bugged him for a bit. He was a good sport about that too. When it was time to pay they only charged me what I was quoted. Very happy Customer here!
