They had exactly what I needed and the clerks were very helpfull. This store is a hidden treasure in Provo. Always clean and usually have what ever you need without driving all over town or to the big box stores.
Great customer service, theres a lot of inventory here. Ace has nice rewards. No complaints
Ace is a great hardware store, yes the people are a little aggressive with trying to help you, but that is part of the charm, this store is clean and well stocked. Had the links of chain I needed.
From toilet bowl gaskets to pine wood derby cars this place has a ton packed into a small package. I usual come here to refill my propane tanks for the bbq but can’t pass up finding those hard to find nuts and bolts they got in the back in the bulk section They are also a STIHL dealer Great place and a staff is excellent more than helpful
My husband sent me to Ace to pick up a part to fix our sink and that was my husbands mistake. I had the female manager (cant remember her name) help me find the part and show me less expensive parts that worked just as good or better for the job. She knows her parts. As I was heading to the checkout I found so many cute and fun things to buy. And not expensive either. I will be back to buy my friends and family Christmas gifts. I loved how the store was clean, organized and decorated. I liked how all the employees had masks on. It was also a comfortable temperature, since wearing a mask makes you hotter than normal. I had a pleasant experience and my husband was surprised when I got home with 2 bags of goodies and his part. Thanks Ace. Youre now one of my #1stores to shop.
Super friendly staff who always help you find what you need.
Walked in to get a few paint samples. The paint sampling machine was broken. They appeared to be understaffed, as I asked a question and was told by the employee to please wait for an answer as theres only two employees at the moment. One male employee burped loudly and did nothing to assist the girl who was trying to fix the paint sampling machine. Very unprofessional. They told me theyd have the paint samples ready for me the next day and would call me. I received no update from them so I called and was told the machine was still down. Definitely going elsewhere.
Love going to this place because they are very down-home and one of the things I love is a fact they don’t freak out about wearing masks. It’s good to see someone that’s logical and realizes that this scare tactic with masks is causing mental problems. I love going in there seeing them act like normal human beings. It’s about time someone takes a stand and stands up for what they believe in and doesn’t bow down to the fears of the media and others.
Im always coming in here for this and that. Theyve always been there to assist me when I needed. I dont know if it was because they thought I was gonna steal something (😂), but these guys were always ready to pounce when needed. On top of EVERYTHING. Great location, too.
Great store friendly staff always got what I need.
Thank you for respecting our freedoms and rights by being mask free. I’m happy to stand with you and shop from your store more then others! Mask wearing people don’t come in if you feel uncomfortable, Utah dropped their mask mandate and this store respects that! #gofreedom #befree
I go in with Utah tree surgeons Patrick is awsome fixing our chainsaws. He was able to locate parts its been hard to get for my one chainsaw. Staff is awsome kind and do the best to help
Organized with great customer service
Thanks Tom for helping me out on my project
Fantastic much better than the ace in my hometown
Great store and staff! They were very helpful on the phone, even in the busy holiday season, checking to be sure a rare item was in truly stock before we made the trip. Thanks and happy holidays!
I purchased some specialty parts from this store a year ago that I knew only they carried. I was excited that they had the parts for my project. The store manager said that since they were purchased over 3 months ago, and I didn’t have a receipt, then they would not take them back. I asked them for I store credit and they said they couldn’t do that either. I had $9 worth of bolts and washers and asked them if they could trade them for the returned parts? They said no. I could have lied about the date that I purchased them, but I didn’t. Even if I did have the receipt they wouldn’t take back the merchandise that’s over 3 months old. So I guess the moral of the story is either keep your receipt and make sure you return the items before 3 months or lie about when you purchased them, otherwise there’s no way to get your money back. I will never shop at that Ace store ever!!!
This used to be my main hardware supply store for me and my business. Recently I went in for supplies and none of the staff are wearing masks and the manager seemed activated that people would be uncomfortable taking off their mask to ask a question. I would prefer to face the inconvenience of going a few more miles away instead of getting supplies from a location that puts their ignorance above their customers health and safety.Edit: I went back to see if they had done better and they actually had multiple signs up about masks being required which I am pretty sure is required by the state of Utah currently. But again I saw more than one worker not wearing one over their mouths and one worker kept pulling it down while talking to me about what I was looking for.
Staff doesn’t wear masks during a pandemic. Selfish individualist thinking. Hey guys, do you think your actions might affect others in the community? Like my wife who has a high risk pregnancy and you could be an a symptomatic carry?! Get bent. Shop elsewhere
Very helpful, friendly service, happily answered my questions.
A great little shop with lots of things to help you. The staff were very helpful.
So glad Ace made its way to the Edgemont community. Well stocked, curbside service, locally owned... love it! I will be running here for all my hardware needs from now on.
Staff does not wear masks during a global pandemic. Customers are also allowed to shop without masks. I will not shop here again, including after the pandemic.
Customer service is good, employees are friendly and helpful. However, Ive been here 3 separate times and had different employees not properly wearing masks. This makes it uncomfortable to shop here when some of the employees are not following the mask mandate.
I have sent my mom up there several times to get things. For some reason no matter how detailed a description they never send her back with the correct one. I even sent her up with the old part and they sent her back with the wrong one.The other day when I was up there they made a 90 year old lady carry a gallon of paint out to her car by herself.I will drive the extra distance to Lowes from now on where competency and customer service are slightly more abundant.
I love it ...good store for gardens..and more ..
I only have 1 issue. When trying to buy nuts and bolts its not very obvious what numbers you write in the bag. So because of that I just decided not to buy any there. That needs to be fixed. Other than that its a convenient place if you just looking for a couple things and you also need to stop at the grocery store.
When i walk in with my backpack they immediately told me i couldnt wear it in the store. I felt discriminated against or profiled. Iv never shop lifted. I refused once at another location and they told me t hey would have to follow me around as i shopped and thats just what tge did. zero stars
Worst experience filling propane, a bunch of unprofessional workers here. Let me put it in simple words I would rather drive across town to Orem to get it refilled! Uneducated in their profession and charged me twice for an exchange when I wanted a refill, on top of that waited 48 mins total for someone from start to finish to help. Will never come back avoid at all costs better chance of getting better service at Wal-Mart.
Nice service people but they dont carry many craftsman tools
Very friendly and greeted on my way in and asked if they can help me find anything!
It has the best service ever. I cant doubt how nice the manager is.
I went looking for steel wool, and I found it. While there I remembered I needed a wire brush attachment for a drill. For an actual steel wheel, they only had a variety pack of three different wheels. I did see that they had a nylon brush alternative, so I went with that, well see how it works.
All of the employees are extremely helpful and the store is clean and well organized
Great place to purchase all kinds of hardware. Friendly staff too.
Very helpful. Great prices on their stock. Would recommend this store.
They have great customer service and unique parts I cant find other places. Its closer to my home than Lowes or Home Depot and sometimes has better prices.
Got the hardware I was after. Some tiny screws that they Dont carry at the Big Orange box store...they werent what I would consider cheap, but they werent overpriced either. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Over all it was a more positive experience than I was expecting from Ace Hardware.
Ace is the place! Always a helpful knowledgeable person there when you need them. Impressive variety for the space! My go to in favor of the bigger box stores.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. So glad theyre open Sundays now 💙💙💙💙💙
Good place great popcorn
Incredible hometown service!!!! Knowledgeable employees who knew everything about the grills we were looking at. They took the time to go into detail about the features, the accessories, everything. Totally engaged workforce!!! Plus got a great deal with extras, free assembly, free delivery! Told them I preferred a certain color...no problem...they’d go get that one from Spanish Fork. Said they’d “make it happen” today and they did! Couple hours later they are delivering my grill fully assembled. They even installed the extra shelf we had gotten earlier and installed once they got the grill off the truck. They took the time to tell us a couple important things that people sometimes miss at first. You don’t see service like this these days! I’m 100% satisfied with this great little store and the fantastic people there!!
Extremely helpful, great staff!
Refused to warranty Ace pliers and my stripped Craftsman sockets set. Said I have to buy them from their store. Well the tools should last a long time and not break. Horrible customer service. He couldnt even look the correct part up. Do not buy tools from Ace.
Plain and simple awesome staff. I love this store!!
Love this Ace Hardware the employees always vary helpful an respectful. Ace is definitely the Place for your hardware needs.
Tried to return a product that didnt do what I needed. Based on the Ace Promise (fails to give complete satisfaction) I figured it would be no big deal. They wouldnt honor it. Not going back.
I needed a tarp and a new battery for my key fob. Me not really knowing much about what battery my key needs, the guy there was really helpful in picking the right battery, installing it for me and testing it to make sure it worked before I bought it. Really great customer service. Also had several cute house keys made which was at a good price too and was fast :)
Very Helpful!! I was greeted at the door and asked if there was anything I needed help with! He took me straight to what I needed. Thank you So much for still believing in Customer Service!!! 😊
Larry and Nathan were awesome in staying a bit later to help us out. Larry especially made sure we had everything we needed!
HORRIBLE experience at this Ace Hardware location with paint! I went in to get a sample container of paint, took it home and using one of Ace Hardware Sure Swatch paintable clear film sheets started to paint. A large red blob of paint came out on my brush(the paint was tinted Magnolia Sunday Stroll gray). I did noice when I opened the sample can red tint was around the lid of the can and around the top of the can...obviously it didn’t get mixed well. I painted the sure swatch with the red stuff on my brush along with the gray paint. I was hoping that when I put the brush in the center of the can it wouldn’t have any red from the lid and top of the can, but it did. I went back to the store to get a new sample because so much of the red tint had not been mixed in and Patrick, the manager and the 16 year old girl who supposedly mixed the paint told me if they gave me another sample for free they would loose their jobs. I told the girls she should have lost her job anyway because she couldn’t not have missed the red paint not being mixed in when she opened the can the day before and put a little spot of the paint on the top of the sample can. They would not refund me my money...they would not mix me a new sample for free. They mixed it without all of the tint in it and said “we think it matches”. BUT the formula on the can did not match what was in the can. How am I supposed to use the can for anything if I follow the formula -but that’s not what was in the can. My daughter was with me...we could believe it! I’m supposed to trust Ace employees that the color does look the same. I don’t think so. I want the paint in the can to be the same as the formula. All buyers beware of the paint department of this Ace down by Maceys grocery store on state in Provo. I guess they would rather have a bad review than make a happy customer for their mistake.
Wish they still carried Weber...
This place has a terrific variety of items that seem to be carried no where else. Had been looking all over for a dandelion puller like the one my grandfather used to have and finally found it here. It was called Grandpas Weeder.
Helpful staff, always friendly and able to keep cool in high stress situations
Every time I am in Aces I am impressed with how attentive the staff if. Bob especially has been so generous with his time and helped me get some rusted-on screws off my car so I could put my new license plate on. It took him about half an hour kneeling on the concrete outside in the hot sun, and even though I went in to buy something to take care of it, he just did it for me. This is the best hardware store in Utah Valley if you ask me. I never go to Lowes or Home Depot because the service is pretty bad especially at Lowes, where, more often than not the employees seem annoyed that Im asking them where to find something. At Home Depot they are so busy. Aces is the way to go! Always friendly and the fact that its smaller is actually great. Unless you need loads of lumber or a new air conditioner or something, Aces has pretty much everything youd need including appliances for lawn care. etc.
Ill pop into this store when I need something small and/or quickly, its next to my place of employment, and I can get in and out quickly because its much smaller than home Depot. One day I was looking for those non slip bathtub stickers. While I didnt find those, a very friendly employee(I wish I remembered his name) helped me find an alternative that actually worked better for my project. I needed some non slip surface for the rungs on a bunk bed ladder. He ended up selling me some sandpaper type stuff with sticky backing that was an inch wide and sold by the foot. Worked great!
Love this place. They have the best selection of nuts and bolts in Provo and they are very helpful with other items. The Ace Rewards program keeps me coming in for great deals, too.
Has everything I dont need, and nothing I do. I try but at least home depot and lowes stocks the things people actually need
Its a good quick-stop hardware store. They have more than youd find at store like Walmart, but not as much as Home Depot. One nice thing is that you can buy screws, bolts and other fasteners individually, which you cant do most other places Ive been. Service is usually good.
I love this store! I went in once looking for a random thing, and had one of the best customer service experiences of my life. The employee walked me through everything I needed and was super helpful. Ace Hardware in Provo is a gem!
Great people. Good selection. Poor prices. You may find a few items home depot doesnt have here and there. But! Every item in their store (all ace) is 20% more than home depot our even Lowes. Dont shop for expensive or multiple small items.
Sooooo much better than Home Depot. They actually have employees that know the stuff they stock! And... they are available and happy to assist. Do they stock as much stuff as the big box? No. Do I need 25 different kitchen sinks? Usually not. ACE Hardware has my business.
Ace was great, The manager at Target next door had bad customer service tho sold me the wrong item then tried telling me I had to wait a day to exchange for the right item when they messed up and I hadnt even left the store yet it was the ring video doorbell bell 2nd gen instead of the 3rd gen thats on sale with a free echo dot the 2nd gen is 199 the 3rd gen is 149 with a free echo dot
They work well above there pay grade.
Great place to grab something last minute for a project instead of driving to a big store. Have had a great experience both times I have gone!
I am not particularly handy, but since Home Depot is filled with people who seem to know less than I, I come here.It is a bit on the small side, but I have almost always found the part Ive needed. The staff seems to always have a working knowledge of the store and a working knowledge of everything Ive ever done where I have needed hardware.
For a smaller store they are very helpful and always has a lot of your home improvement needs and other things that you would need that you would find in bigger stores. I use them quite often that you were closer to my home and they are always very helpful when you come in you willing to help you find anything you need.
They had what I needed! However there was a situation. All three checkers were helping one person instead of the rest of us.
Nicest people. Good advice. I walked in as a shoplifter walked out. While dealing with that all employees were attentive and apologized repeatedly for the disruption. I just started shopping here and will continue.
This is a standard Ace Hardware. It has all of the tools of a standard hardware store. Obviously the prices are slightly higher than the low end hardware stores, but I have received personal assistance by workers who know what they are doing. The owner is also a very nice person.
Really helpful staff and great selection. I find it easier and quicker to come here over larger home improvement stores.
Nice staff. They are always ready to help and are kind and friendly
I needed to change the battery of my car fob and Jay was very handy and helpful. He changed it for me and we had a great conversation while I waited. Friendly staff and had everything I was looking for.
They have everything very organized and things are easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Close to my house always friendly always have what I need a small Home depot
I asked for a bimbamflippidyflop and they actually had it. They have it all!!
It was not busy, and the employees were awesome
Ace is the place, when you absolutely have to go there to get something the customer service is really good though but the prices are pretty high
Reliable, with super helpful staff that know where everything is and will tell you where to get it if they dont have it.
Was accused of stealing and asked to empty my pockets then when they found no stolen items he didnt even apologize I was embarrassed and outraged on top of that they had the youngest newest guy I think in the whole store do it and he was literally shaking he was so scared to ask me maybe cuz he knew it was illegal to force me to do so or maybe he knew I was not doing anything wrong and completely being judged by the way I look I dont even want to be a part of that. I have never felt discrimination like that and then not even an apology?
They charged me a FEE to add colorant to paint that I had bought from another ACE hardware. And they didn’t disclose it, they just added it at checkout. When I protested they refused to remove it. Horrible service, horrible treatment.
Customer service is consistently good. On a recent trip someone went the extra mile to help me find the exact right screws for a project. Pleased that they carry a few bike essentials, like a selection of lights. Hours are good, location is very convenient.
They live up to their jingle Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks. They truly exemplify exceptional customer service.
Its a nice neighborhood hardware store with just about anything youd need for a small project. It has the vibe of a small town family establishment, which is nice, but someone needs to teach the kids that work there some simple customer service skills (like smiling and being friendly).
Be careful with their good deals, they may be expired. They did not honor the sale price that was on the item I wanted. I was told that I need to check the expiration dates. Earlier that day I saw a store employee talking about the item to another customer and he never mentioned that the price tag on it was wrong. So just be very careful. The sign was left on the item atleast 10 days after the sale ended. However, I have gotten some good deals their before.Thank you for your response. I believe it was the manager the employee asked about the price and he said they could not offer the tag price. It would totally solve the problem if they explained in the moment the reason they could not offer the tag price i.e. a manufacturer rebate. Also, it could have helped if they apologized for the inconvenience.
This hardware store is incredibly helpful and surprisingly well-stocked for a smaller store! I can always find what I need there and the staff is super willing to help and make sure you get what you need. I especially appreciate the help from the older gentleman at the help desk. Hes great!!
I recently purchased a broken fish tape from Steve Tanner’s Ace Hardware store in Provo. When I took the fish tape back, Brigette Mitchell refused to give me a refund. Mitchell cited company policy as the reason why Steven Tanner’s Ace Hardware does not give refunds. In addition, Mitchell said that she didn’t like my attitude and refused to even give me in-store credit. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect as I was for simply asking for my money back on a broken item sold to me from Steven Tanner’s Ace Hardware. Buyer beware. If you want to shop at Ace Hardware and want to have the option to return defective products, or products that you just dont like, go to Gordons Ace Hardware 3067 Canyon Rd, Provo. I will be well worth your time and no one will confiscate your backpack or accuse you of stealing.
Good place to find things for th e house
The service was very helpful. Right when I walked in, somebody was ready to help me find the odds and ends that I needed. Good variety of hardware to choose from, as well as many fun miscellaneous items.
Bridget strikes again! Worst service I have ever been given.I am so disappointed in this location and the Spanish Fork location. They are owned by the same person and its obvious with their lack of training. I called today to ask if they could program a key for me and they dont listen to the customer and ended up telling me they dont even program keys that they dont make. I hate the inconsistency of these two locations. I called the Payson store after and received outstanding customer service (obviously because they are owned by other people). I will never ever give this or the Spanish Fork Ace my business.Bridget also refused to give me the owners name and then hung up on me.UPDATE:I never used profanity with anyone on the phone. Not once. I did call the Payson store and they were so nice to me. They listened to me and Ive never had a bad experience there.Neither the Spanish Fork or the Provo location listened to me before telling me they couldnt help me. It sounds more like they dont want to perform the service. I was literally trying to call the Provo store to give them the time to prepare their tablet to avoid them having to take more time with than they had to. Bridget wouldnt listen to me when I would try to explain this to her. And then tries to tell me that she couldnt even help me when I didnt buy the key there. Its so sad that this turns into me being the problem. I was only trying to get my key programmed.I want everyone to look at the owners response for all the negative reviews. Its always putting blame on the customer. This just shows the type of service you can expect at this location.
I try to shop here often, as I prefer the hands on associates. The prices are usually quite a bit higher than large competitors, but it can be worth it on some projects due to the support and expertise that come with it.Today, I went in to get a couple of keys cut. I already had some blanks that I had programmed to the minivan, I was just needing them cut. a cynical younger guy informed me that it was 8 dollars per key to cut them. I asked him why it is so expensive, and he responded that was to pay for their labor because people were abusing it.I am confused why they cant cover the labor and minimal wear and tear for 3 minutes worth of work for less than $16.00. I wasnt asking for a favor, I was ready to pay a normal key cutting price.I headed to a larger competitor where I was able to get them cut for 1/8th the price, and purchase the other items I needed.
Went in to get some keys copied. Very efficient, friendly help. Will definitely go again when hardware needs come up.
Im visually impaired, and the attendant helped me find what I was looking for.
This is the best neighborhood hardware store. I love going in with something strange that needs to be fixed and they havent failed me yet! Thanks!
Great local hardware store
Friendly staff when you can find someone. Had to look around mostly on my own for npt fittings.
I needed a replacement bolt for my bike. The guys there helped me find the right sized bolt. They were friendly and knowledgeable.
Great service and deals, though it was a bit hard to find what I was looking for.
I have been driving around and calling every single Ace in Utah County. They all tell me they have the right paint I need. I want modern gray, Valspar Optimus, semi-gloss. When I show up, they don’t have it. This has happened at three stores already and I am just wasting my time.
