I wanted to give American Fence Company in Quincy 4 stars because of the service I received from the owner, Paul McCarthy and his assistant, Gretchen. Paul gave me a tremendously fair price for repairing a section of my fence that was damaged by a neighbors snow blower. First of all, not a lot of fencing companies even want to look at a smaller repair job, but Paul did. He gave me a fair estimate for materials and timeline. We had a small issue arise and he squared it away immediately and we ended up with a great quality job and couldnt be happier with the end result! I would recommend Paul/American Fence to anyone who is looking for a fair price and quality result.

Im a happy long term customer. My experiences with Paul and American Fences have been great. He and his team have been reliable and have installed quality fences on my properties at a fair price. I have recommended American Fences to my neighbors and friends who tell me that they have been very happy with American Fences too!

They are the worst to deal with they ignore your calls your email very hard to reach

I had a tree fall on 2 sections of my fence last year and I had a gate that needed to be repaired. They were wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

The owner was so rude and unhelpful. It was very intimidating once I entered the store, he was put out by the fact that I had questions about the products. So much for social distancing during a pandemic, the owner was not wearing a PPE mask. Do not give any business to this jerk, in fact I find it hard to believe that this is a legitimate business.

. The owner is prompt to show up and give you an estimate. And very prompt to cash your deposit...this is where the promptness ends! They did a HORRIBLE job left my yard an absolute mess. Once they actually show up (two weeks after they said they would) they come and go as they please. The owner never returns phone calls or emails once he cashes the deposit. Paul (the owner) is rude and condescending to work with. He is all smiles when he comes for the estimates but once he gets your deposit he is ghost!!The workmanship is appauling and the over all job is terrible. No posts for the gate, leaning fence, rocks dug up and left in yard. Save yourself the headache and court trips and use a better company. I now have to hire ANOTHER fence company to complete the job. Im guessing the positive reviews on here are probably from the company itself and not from actual customers

Saw one of their drivers texting while driving on 5/27 weaving all over the road. I called and left a message on their answering machine, but from the other reviews, this guy probably wont care.

Terrible to do business with. Tell you what they think you want to here. No one is ever there to take a phone call. No customer service at all. Will never use them again. And you shouldnt either!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They put the fence in the complete wrong place and after they took it down have made excuses for not installing the fence as agreed. Five months later and I have no fence, the owner very rarely responds to my constant e-mails and phone calls and when he does he is rude and unhelpful, and he refused to refund my deposit when I said Id had it. They take your deposit and then fail to perform. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
