We had such a great and easy car experience at Ramsey! We had a Volvo lease to turn in and we leased a new one. We live three hours away and were able to do all negotiations and a lot of the pre-paperwork over the phone. Our salesman was Tim and he was awesome! We arrived at our appointment about fifteen minutes early and left eighty minutes later in our new Volvo. We highly recommended Ramsey Volvo and we’d definitely use them again.

Recently bought a pre-certified 2018 Volvo (about three weeks ago) whole process felt rushed. Sales guy was nice enough, but seemed like he could careless if I bought the car or not.Went in to do all the finance paperwork (don’t remember the woman’s name) again, nice enough but very rushed as it was close to closing (sales guy is the one that set the appointment for that late) they started to shut the lights off to the building while in the middle of the paperwork. Woman got up and made a remark to them about having a customer sitting here. Sales guy was no where to be seen this whole time.he was actually consulting with another customer over the phone before the deal was even finalized.After finishing the paperwork, the woman went looking for the sales guy to remind him that he had a customer still there…the sales guy went into the woman’s office (not knowing I was within ear shot) and told her to get off her high horse. … which was very unprofessional. He than asked me what I thought about her cause she was new and he hadn’t yet made up his mind about her.Three weeks later…. Still no plates and the breaks are squeaking and there is grinding. Also making a weird noise when turning the wheel. Just reached out to the sales guy who referred me to the service department. Might not be brand new, but it’s new to me and think I should have been treated a little more professionally and kindly. It was almost like I was an after thought.

I traveled from the Phila region to test drive a car at unnamed dealer down the street from Ramsey Volvo, which was a blessing in disguise. We quickly exited that dealership and made our way down to Ramsey Volvo. My Salesman Chris really made things pretty easy and answered any questions that I had. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed, sales associates are very professional, and buying process was straight forward and easy. I love my new car and would highly recommend Ramsey Volvo!

Came to dealer because my mechanic could not solve the problem with radiator fan never turning off and draining the battery. Drove into check-in point and told the guy that fan needs to be disconnected right away to avoid the problem. The guy said he just there to check the car in and I should tell people inside. The men inside in white shirts said they dont touch anything with hands and I should just wait. After an hour waiting I was told that fan needs to be changed but they have no part in stock. I told them that I couldnt leave the car and had to drive back. They charged me $169 for diagnostic and 27 point inspection. When I drove home the fan caught the fire because control unit had a short and plastic when in flames. THEY FAIL TO DIAGNOSE A SIMPLE SHORT CIRCUIT AND CHECK THAT CONTROL UNIT IS TOO HOT. I COULD HAVE BURN WITH THE CAR! WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. ANY HOTEL WOULD DO A BETTER JOB CHECK-IN MY CAR.

I stopped in for a 20,000 mile check up and the car was serviced as expected. The gentleman at the service desk who processed my paperwork and explained what would be looked at and addressed was personable and professional. The wait time was fine and as expected. All went very smoothly.The only things that could have improved the experience (I used the lounge to work for the approximately 2 hours I was there) would have been for the coffee machine to have been in working order and a simple “Hello” from the receptionist, as customers like me, and potential new car buyers entered the dealership, would have been nice. The only time I saw her utter a word to anyone was when I asked her a quick question. She said nothing to me as I slowly realized that the coffee machine was not working. She just sat there as I and others tinkered with the machine until we, in turn, discovered it was out of order.

Service was good but car was not washed. Service manager Steve thougjt it was done but it was not washed. He asked me if I could stay and wait till washers come back from their lunch. I would have to wait at least 50 minutes for a car wash. Perhaps next time.

Called the dealership and was put in touch with Chris. Saw a car I liked and scheduled a test drive. Went over and test drove a xc90 that wasnt for me. Chris gave me his cell number and said anything you like just text me. About 2 months later I found one with the features I wanted on their site. Texted him on a Wednesday and we agreed on a Friday showing. Without requesting a down payment he held it for me till Friday. I came by, loved the car, it needed a new windshield and without asking he already ordered one. Picked up the car a few days later. In total, I spent about 45 minutes inside the dealership and was in and out without hassle. EVERY dealership needs to take note on this place. For all you buyers out there, you can be in an out if you arent trying to get $10k+ off a car and haggle to the death. If you know what a car is worth, and arent trying to score some major deal and haggle for hours you can be in an out with nice friendly people a great car and a friendly environment. I have a good feeling that the service experience from this place is going to be exceptional as well, going in for the replacement windshield.

I started my search at another Volvo dealer closer to my home. However Ramsey had the make and model and color of the car I wanted which I found doing an inventory search on Volvo.com. I worked with Brad in sales and had a good experience. The actual purchase of the car with finance was well orchestrated. The new car orientation with LJ was very comprehensive. Overall it was a positive experience in acquiring the XC 60.

Absolutely worst experience. If you are planning to buy a car out-of-state, stay away from this dealership. The only honest person in that dealership is Chris, hence the two stars. I paid the a deposit back in Feb 10 2021 for a used car, meaning I was sure about the car. Today, April 27, I am still waiting on the dealer to send me the registration so I can drive my freaking car!I made the worst mistake doing finance with them and had to deal with their finance person, Asher! It took him a month to mail me the documents to sign.After I got the car, it took them 3 weeks to apply for the registration.The worst part is these people tell you that they will call you tomorrow with new updates and days go by and they never do and leave you in suspense!Off course I had to cancel plans, trips and asking people to give a ride here and there! It has turned into a joke among my friends!BTW, nobody answers phone calls ever! And your best bet is leaving voice mails, hoping somebody might get back to you if they do!

Run of the mill buying experience. Poor delivery experience. Surprised I received this survey as they are aware of my feelings. Purchased CPO, + extended warranty, + allstate protection.- Previous owners / drivers belongings still in glove box- compartments in center console not vacuumed, crumbs still present.-Dirt and debris still in creases of thigh extenders- a collection of dirt / gunk on side of seat which came off with a damp cloth.- old inspection sticker left on windshield- Paint should have been & could have been prepped better. I understand there are limits, but once wax wore off car looks like someone went over it with brilloI made most of these issues know at time of delivery and got shrugged off. Followed up with a simple email bullet list of experience got a call, returned call and left name & number with secretary, but never heard back. I havent experienced the service department yet so I will reserve judgement I just hope its better than the sales experience.

It was an extremely frustrating experience dealing with Ramsey Volvo over a simple issue on the plate.I leased a car from Ramsey Volvo at the end of July. Now after two months, I’m still waiting for the plates to arrive, and they left me without even a temp tag for the past 3 weeks. I was able to reach out to NJ MVC, who confirmed they haven’t even received the registration application from the dealer by now.During the past month, I have tried to contact the dealer dozens of times, asking for a new temporary tag and statues of the permanent plate. But no one is willing to look into that. Some just said this is not their business and I can only contact my initial point of contact (I used a broker and he cannot get any response from his contact either). Some just transferred me to voicemails and never called me back. When asking for the DMV guy, one told me there’s no such person, one told me the guy went home for the day (at 3pm!), and one told me the guy only come to work in the afternoon. When talking with the general manager Jeff Falk, first time he said he will look into it and call me back the next day (which never happened). When calling Jeff again one week later, he initially told me the delay is normal and asked me to just wait, then just transferred my call to his own voicemail. I tried to call Jeff several times since then, but he was always too busy to pick up the phone or call me back.Now I’m left paying for the monthly fee, insurance, and parking, all without a valid plate or temporary tag to use the car for three weeks. I was expecting a dealership to at least give me some updates on the plate statues after charging hundreds of dollars for doc fee and DMV fee, but this level of ignorance from Ramsey Volvo is just insane.

The problem I had with my car was difficult to identify.I had previously had it worked on at another service.Ramsey Volvo fixed it, but as I got home, the check engine light came back on.I called, and they told me to come in at my earliest convenience.When I came in, I was able to get a loaner car, though I had made no explicit prior reservation for it. They investigated the issue, replaced any needed parts, applied whatever fixes were needed and tested it thoroughly to make sure that it stayed fixed. It did. I got my car at the end of the day at no additional expense. Truly outstanding service.

The service department always goes above and beyond. Last time I had a loaner car, a rock kicked up and cracked the windshield as I was driving to the dealer. I came in unannounced with a blown tire while caring for two young grandsons. The service personnel fit me in and repaired my car as quickly as possible saving both the showroom and my sanity from the onslaught of two little boys. The personnel were all compassionate and professional in their dealings with me and my young family members. The experience was most positive and Volvos staff interaction was most appreciated. Just wanted to let you know I stopped in and had a horrible experience with John Montenegro. Told him I wanted trade in my leased Toyota and without checking just saying we dont buy leased cars from them. Then he went and found out that wasnt true. I didnt bring my account info for my Tyoyta to find out what the buyout would be. He told me to send him an email with that information. I have bought cars from different dealers and never had that issue before.

I’m going preface this review with I am a young professional and I went to the dealership to inquire about a few cars I had seen on their website. Well my experience here was less than pleasant. Mike was extremely condescending when answering questions about the cars and when it came time to discuss the price of the vehicle, aprs, etc., he basically said that he would not work with me because I was not “serious” enough about the car and to come back when I was ready to sign it then and there. First of all I had not even seen the real car as it was off on a storage lot, but secondly do you sign on a car without knowing all of the details first? Absolutely not. If I do come back to purchase a vehicle I definitely will not work with Mike.

I purchased a used 2017 Chevy Silverado from Volvo Cars Ramsey after trading in my daily commuting vehicle on April 2nd, 2021. Two months later I am still waiting to get my registration from Volvo Cars Ramsey. I have not been able to drive my new vehicle since the temporary plates expired on April 30th, 2021. I have called multiple times to address to address this situation and good luck actually getting someone to pick up your phone call at Volvo Cars Ramsey. Each time I managed to get to speak to someone I was told we are still waiting on your registration and each time I asked for a temporary license plate to be sent to my home so I can drive again. After weeks of back and fourth with them and them saying they sent my plates when they actually didnt, I finally received temporary plates in the mail on May 25th, 2021 and they expired May 30th, 2021.... and I still havent received a registration... It seems I just bought a very expensive paperweight that cant leave my driveway, at this rate I dont know when Ill get to drive my truck.

Avoid this dealership. However, if you still decide to go, avoid Tim Bourne.Background:I buy a new car about every 5 years and this is the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I was attracted to this dealership because of the Volvo Excellence Awards but I was fooled!My experience below:I’m buying this vehicle for my parents and after the price negotiation, we agreed on a new XC40. Because my dad is semi-retired with low income, I told Tim multiple times that if we can’t get financing approval of 1.99% for 60 months, I can prepare a bank check for the full amount. But I will *NOT* pay a higher rate. He understood that and we agreed to pick up the car in 2 weeks on Friday 5/28. I paid a deposit of $2500 for the car.One week passed and I have not heard from Tim and on Monday, 5/24 at 10:58am, I got a text out of the blue that Geico will call me. And in less than a min (still at 10:58am), Geico called and want to adjust the insurance info to the new car and I had to call my dad immediately to setup a conference call with him in it as well. I was in the middle of a meeting at work and had to jump off. He gave me no other advance notice except for that last minute text message.After adjusting the insurance, I texted him to call me back which he did. During the call, I reiterated my concern with the financing approval and that I am perfectly fine with paying the full amount if there is a problem. The only caveat is I need to know in advance, not the day of, so I can go to the bank and get a certified check for the payment. He re-assured me everything will be okay and that Volvo is quite lenient with approvals. He doesn’t currently have the approval today but will confirm and let me know on Wednesday.On Wednesday, he texted me to confirm my appointment and that everything (financing at 1.99%) is good to go.On Friday morning, after driving over 1.5 hours to pick up my parents in Brooklyn (he had already sold his car at this point) and on the way back of another 1.5 hours to the dealership, the financing person called and said Volvo would *NOT* honor the financing rate! They advised that we would need to put a down payment of $20,000 and the rate would be at 2.65%. He said he can give us a $500 discount to compensate for it. I mentioned to him that I told Tim (sales guy) more than 3 times that I will not pay more than 1.99% for financing and Tim has confirmed with me on Wednesday that everything is good to go. I told them I was prepared to pay in full too but will not do that on the day of. He said Tim never confirmed with him and there’s nothing he can do and he can have Tim call us back.When Tim called, he tried to say the same things about financing. I told him I don’t want to hear that cause that’s besides the point. The point is I told him on multiple occasions that I will not pay more than 1.99% for financing and would have been perfectly fine paying in full. I just need advance notice so that I don’t have to rush to the bank on the day that we’re picking up the car. He’s really inconveniencing me and if he still want this business, he needs to give me an incentive other than Volvos $500 purchasing discount. He said he will talk to the manager about it.When Time called back again, he said his manager won’t do anything to compensate for the inconvenience caused. I said then forget the deal and give me back my $2500 deposit because they broke their contract for not honoring the 1.99% for 60 months financing for the entire amount. I gave him my CC number for the refund. I filed a dispute on the charge and got the refund back 1.5 week after.What the heck is this so called “Volvo Experience Award”?! Is it an award for being shady (trying to charge me a higher interest rate than agreed upon)? Is it an award for being unapologetic to their customers when they have caused inconvenience and aggravation?? If that is the case, I can see why they’ve earned it for so many years!Don’t be fooled… this award is NOT what you think it should be!Edit: no apologies from dealer. Didnt ack their problem.

1st time using Ramsey Volvo for service on my 2016 XC90. Needed an oil change before a trip. The dealer I normally use was booked out almost 2 weeks. I was able to schedule an early morning appointment with Ramsey within a few days. They did the oil change plus washed my car including dressing the tires and vacuuming the interior, and had me out of there in less than an hour. I will definitely use them again. Great service!

Im trying to return a lease to this dealer. Because, i think, they know im not getting another car from them--they are being very uncooperative. My wife who has one of their cars will probably be getting her last car from them.
