I absolutely love this store! The arts and crafts section has everything I could think of to do at-home projects. Also, they offer key-cutting, tools, equipment, replacement parts, home repair supplies, toys, pet fish and a whole lot more! Whenever I had an issue with a purchase, there was never a problem returning or replacing it. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This place has a very welcoming vibe, making it comfortable and relaxing, great for any shopping experience. Highly recommended

I love this place. I mean you may spend a bit more but so worth it. People are so nice and very helpful. So much more than hardware! Flip flops, jewelry, Yankee candles, puzzles, toys and some really unique items too. They even have Boston sport team items. Returns are easy too.

Plants soils propane and BBcue grills...not to mention all the housewares and crafts!

My friend Jim and I went in for some Colonial Pine Stain and the staff was super helpful. Jim tasted it and it was confirmed as a perfect match!

Very well maintained store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I usually shop there when discount coupons arrive in the paper or through my rewards program. If I have a small project to do, I usually go here. I have always looked for clothes, footwear and winter items here as well. I also have found non construction and cleaning products as well. Toys, kitchen items, photo frames and albums and ect. I would recommend visiting this store.Update: Sunday morning 🌄, May 2021; Store layout keeps changing. I was in the area and was looking for an outdoor entrance rug. They didnt have anything that would be useful. Employees are very helpful.

Ben Franklin is a comparatively tiny chain, enough so that it feels more like an independent store. The customer service is professional, attentive and friendly. Offerings are diverse and good quality, and, with Fecteaus Country Store gone,💙 I think that Ben Franklin is the last place in that town with a store feel. It really has that, even though it is a department store. I will always make the trip, to shop there before any of the Walmarts. Support smaller businesses with heart, and everyone benefits.

The staff is sohelpful and readily available.They know where everything is ! Its worth paying 10% over Lowes on Epping for the speed of checkout and fast service.

Overall, this Ace Hardware location is well stocked & well maintained. Staff is always Super-Friendlly & they are all very knowledgeable. They do occasionally offer some limited comepetive pricing, but for the most part their pricing is a tad bit more than the big box home centers.. However, they do offer a good size selection of products which still gives the consumer options.......which is always a plus!

Classic real hardware store. They have all the bits and pieces that you need. The people are very helpful, and easy to find. Of course the prices on regular items is on the high side, but the sales are excellent, and when you need a stainless steel acorn nut with matching lock washer, who cares if its an extra 20% higher. I go here as much as possible, as it is very nice to have a real hardware store and not be stuck with whatever Lowes or Home Depot may or may not have...Mostly have not.

I love this store. Everybody is so helpful even with the crazy projects I come up with.They not only have a great selection of hardware needs but the variety of Carhartt clothes changes all the time. I’m in there at least twice a week.It was so easy to Christmas shop there. I bought Carhartt clothes, dog bones, even a Shotgun plunger.I’m in there for everything it’s just a nice old school store but with a modern twist to make it all work.It’s a fun store to just walk into and look around with a great selection and a great staff.Thank you.

Wow! That was the biggest Ace Hardware Ive ever been in. The place is huge. They sold anything you might need (including clothes). There was plenty of helpful staff throughout the store all of them busy. The wait at the register was quite short even though the store was busy. And most importantly, everything I needed was in stock.

Nice large store but needs to improve their inventory technique. They told me they had 5 of the snowblowers that I wanted so I drove 60 miles and then they didn’t have them. The inventory likely indicated they had 5 because they were “on order”.

I was running in becuz granddaughter had to use restroom (emergency) or I would have went anywhere else. I asked epperson at register if they had a restroom she said no...I wanted to ask her where she went when she had to go but I had to run to hannaford to use theirs.. She should if said no public restrooms first of all...second of all I. Sure people dont make a habit of it!! So I will not shop there again. I think my husband lives there but not anymore. Everyone should make exceptions for children

Went there on 11/02/20 around 8:10am. I went to the front to pay. There were no lights on for the registers. Just a woman at the service desk laughing and gabbing away with someone. I had many items, and placed them all on the counter. I waited quite a while, and when she eventually finished talking, she said she had too much to do to ring up my order, and told me to take my items to a register and she’d call someone. I left all the items where they were and just walked out. Plenty of time to talk, but too much to do to help a customer. Unprofessional. Rude. I will never go to Ace again.

I used to love shopping here, and did so frequently. The last time I was there, we had gone in the early evening. We had just walked in and began browsing, when we noticed that we were being followed by several workers at once. At one point, a manager began chasing me down after I had walked into the crafts section!!! Mind you, we are two average, everyday, mid to upper class, middle aged females!!! After having worked some retail security/loss prevention myself back in the day, I can assure you we fit none of the profiles they should have been looking out for. After being treated as if we were known criminals, we decided to just get what we went there for, and get the hell out. All while these employees continued to follow and corner us the entire way! When we showed the cashier (whom also happened to have been the only nice, helpful person we had encountered there that evening) our Ace Rewards card, we noticed that one of the managers, who had now taken to barricading the exit on us, lest we suddenly attempted to escape, gave off the sudden appearance of her face flushing several shades of white, then red, before giving us a sheepish half smile/snarl and walking away. I have not been back since that incredibly bizzare experience had over 2 years ago.

Great local hardware store. I always try to use this place instead of a big box store like home depot or Lowes. I like the smaller and friendlier feel.

Always have the last minute items you need. They have a great selection of hobby supplies for any hobbyist. Good paint selection as well as paint supplies. If you need items for your bbq, they have good selection of hardwood, oak, cherry, apple, pecan and mesquite. This Ace also has great bird watching supplies.

This is a big hardware store, they sell clothes, more like a K-mart or other, BUT THEY OFFER NO RESTROOMS ! Im disabled, walk with a cane and needed to use a restroom and they refused ! NO OTHER PLACE THAT SIZE WITHOUT FACILITIES, EVEN DURING COVID-19 times !

This store is such a surprise! It defies definition. It has that old fashioned General Store vibe without the uneven wooden floors, and its big. Its a hardware store- with everything that youd expect from an Ace Hardware store. But wait! You can also pick up casual gifts such as candles (Yankee or other brands), wind chimes, light catchers, dream catchers, toy, costume jewelry, and cards. It carries outdoorsy clothing for men and women. You can pick up crafting supplies (they offer crafting classes), fabric, curtains, throw rugs, shower curtains, vacuums, ironing boards and irons. If youre shopping hungry, they also sell bags of chips, popcorn, candy and soda. The store also offers a reward program with coupons and discounts.

Best customer service Ive ever seen. All associates ask if you need assistance in a sincere and non pushy way. Great selection of items with the combination of Ben franklin and ace hardware. A little bit of everything. Hours are convenient. Plenty of parking. Process are good. Stop here before any big box store. You wont regret it.

Every time I go into the Raymond Ben Franklin Ace store I am always greeted by helpful, friendly employees. The product selection that they have is phenomenal, I never walk out of there without buying what I came in for and then some. They have great sales(clearance). its not a short drive for me, but, its always worth it.

There is always someone to help. Its like being in an old fashioned hardware store.

Friendly service and staff. This is my go to when ever possible to avoid the big box stores.

Specifically asked the associate if what I had in my hand was printer transfer paper. She said yes so I spent $12 on it just to get home and realize it’s made for attaching fabrics to shirts aka not printing transfer paper. Thanks for wasting my money.

Id give it 5 stars but I was supervised in the hardware section while looking for some cotter pins. The man in that section insisted on helping but I declined his offer. He stood over me for a couple minutes monitoring me. Kinda awkward. I dont feel the need to supervise me while looking at 35 cent pins.

Manager Keily was very pleasant and helpful.

The crafts are my favorite part of this store. They have such a great collection of unique, fun stuff here. Perfect for a crafter and gift shoppers.

Every time I go in the store everyone is so helpful! One of the employees really stands out in my wife and I eyes, his name Cam B. He always goes the extra step by helping out. For example a few weeks back I saw him in the store on hisday off and he asked if we needed help. He took the time to help when he was suppose to be working with his other job since he was in his uniform! Not everyone would do this! So thank you Cam for all your hard work and young man keep your head up and we hope to see you as a manger on day!

I went in there on a Saturday afternoon. I was ready to cash out, there was one line open with about 5 customers in line. Marissa walked to #3 register, I walked over and asked her if she was going to be opening, she very shortly said No. So I walked back to register #1 to cash out. Not 30 seconds later Marissa was over at register #5 asking if she could take the next customer. Really?!. She couldnt have just told me that register 3 wasnt going to open but that 5 would be. I was not happy. There was 3 other people at the service desk too. I think I will get my crafts elsewhere from now on.

Excellent, helpful customer service

Very rude staff when it gets close to closing time. The younger associates are helpful but the 9pm closing time is clearly way past the older staff members bedtime. If youre seen shopping within 15min of lights out you get ushered to the door by Andy Rooneys older brother. I love Ace for certain things but from now on its either Lowes or Amazon.
