I had a package to ship and the young man waiting at the front door greeted me and took care of everything! Friendly people, very nice store, and even a beautiful Golden Retriever helping out at checkout!

Came in for shelf pins and a guy who worked there walked me through everything to make sure I got the right shelf pins. Will be back whenever I need hardware even if I got to walk 2 miles to do it.

Very nice store they also patch screen doors!

I use Ace hardware in Red Wing, MN because, they carry the type of products I need for the project Im working on.We have big box retail stores in Red Wing and in some cases they may be cheaper, but at our Ace hardware the people know there products, thay also know how to use them.Also, thay may in some cases show you other items to do that job. They always let you make the choice with information you have.Ace hardware I believe has the products.Thay have the people I trust, to answer my questions and guide me.

There may be reasons to go to other hardware stores, but I sure can’t think of any! Can I borrow a sixth star for my rating?Last weekend, I bought a good Weber gas grill, assembled, at a very fair price here. This evening, after work, Troy (the owner of this fine family-owned store) personally delivered it to me at my remote location about 10 miles out of town. No complaints— just smiles and a handshake. He is friendly, helpful, and efficient, just like everyone else who works there. When I go in the store, I feel like I stumbled into a time warp to another time that features such helpful and agreeable people. Mayberry had none better.I’m sure the Highway 61 road project hurt fine stores like this one in the past few years— don’t let them get away, Red Wing: they’ve earned your loyal business. The staff as you walk in are nice asking if they can help, however as I move about the store I feel Im being watched.I like to browse but dont because of staff moving about wherever I go I look up and a staff person is there.
