This is one of the best car shops Ive been to. The shop is exceptionally clean, which gives a good vibe to the store. The general manager, Angel, is honest and genuinely wants to help.My 20 year old car was having issues and several mechanics told me that it was likely the transmission. I dont know much about cars, and Angel could have easily told me the same and charged me for it. Instead, we had an honest conversation about the good and the bad of the car troubles. Ended up not being the transmission and they fixed what was needed. He also threw in a free oil change, which was a nice surprise.The car feels different to drive. It almost feels like it was upgraded.He gave me a range for the estimated time for repair and the cost. In the end, it was ready within his estimated time, and cost less than what I expected.It seems like many car shops get bad reviews because theres no trust and misaligned expectations. I can say after my experience that I trust Angel and will be returning to him if I have future car problems.

We were walked through the whole process by Angel who lives up to his name. He told us to bring it back in 10 days to make sure we’re still happy with the work. In a year we’ll bring it back for a check up and it has an 18 month warranty.The car is driving like new. We are over the moon !

Still looking for an honest automotive shop. Over all, I wouldnt recommend this store. Angel was the writer I talked to (who was nice, buddy buddy like). I explained what my car was doing and he gave me his thoughts. I told him what I thought it was based upon previous service by another dealer and myself. After leaving it at the shop, he called me a day or two later and gave me a whopping $1,900 estimate. He guaranteed me this should fix my issue. As upset with the ticket amount, I didnt listen as closely as I should have to everything they where doing to the car...just sold/blinded on the fact they found my issue and was going to fix it. Turns out, I got a water pump and hose that was leaking, trans service that I didnt need, an oil change I didnt request and they changed my engine and trans mounts that I DID need. They said my water pump was leaking and when I mentioned that was my oil leak, they said it was the water pump. Funny...Ive never needed to fill my coolant. Angel was nice, but hes responsible for his mechanics honesty. Tho my shifting issues seemed less noticeable with new mounts, my problem reappeared by the time I got straight home from their shop. I called Angel and informed him immediately. He said hed make it right. After waiting, I called corporate to see if I could get a second opinion at a different store, instead they sent me to the owner of this shop, Larry. He was nice, wanted to make it better and briefly tried to fix one of many oil leaks they said I didnt have, which didnt make a difference of course. They said they would call me in a couple months to straighten out the rest of the work, but never heard back. Their shop is IMMACULATE (and impressed me), but they are not careful with your car. They splashed coolant on both sides of my fenders and a small nick of paint off one of them (see lower left in pic). I dont wish to return, Ill be taking all FIVE of my cars somewhere else. I would recommend you going elsewhere and get another opinion.

Customer Service Manager Angel Lucero was a tremendous help in guiding my daughter through the process of diagnosing what she thought was a transmission issue with her truck.Angel reported the progress of their investigation to her each day until a determination could be made with confidence. I found him to be professional and courteous throughout the process.Our family has taken other vehicles there for transmission work in the years past. They are over 25 miles from our home but we will always refuse to take any future transmission work needs anywhere else - regardless how close to our home they would be.

Angel Lucero, the manager was very pleasant and friendly. The shop and bathroom were very clean and neat. Told me what was wrong and didn’t try to sale me something that I didn’t need I will recommend this place to my friends.

Brought my truck in that was in immaculate condition. They ran my truck into a steel rack and put a huge, deep gash in the tire. When I went to pick it up they told me, You should get that tire replaced. I said it was them who did that and they said they would speak with the driver the next day and get back to me. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. They have ZERO respect for the property of others and I now have to replace the tire on top of finding someone else to complete the work they refused to even diagnose. I have used these guys a few times over the years but will NEVER AGAIN.

Angel is the service writer and he is great, very honest and didnt try to pull anything over our heads. Actually walked out with out owning a penny like stated. Recommend trying here first for any transmission needs.

Brought my dads truck here because it was hardly running and Angel Lucero did a wonderful job fixing the issue and did it without charge. So, I just brought my Nissan here and they’re checking that out as well. Highly recommended!

I was in from out of town in my RV when the transmission went out contacted them late on Wednesday afternoon they were able to get it in They started on my RV the next morning . The communication from Angel on every step of the process was outstanding within 24 hours after they started the job it was finished and I couldn’t be happier with the performance and the job I want to thank you again Angel for all your help your explanation at all the processes and I would recommend this business to anybody Needing their services this is in one outstanding company very professional

TERRIBLE! Sight unseen and told of the minor problem that simply requires a new Governor Pressure Sensor and switch it comes in kit form for $130 plus installation, a common failure of this transmission, and I was quoted $3,800 for a rebuilt transmission. Sight unseen! No in-person diagnosis. Rebuilt transmissions sell for roughly $300 plus installation. This is a massive profit margin and a common scheme to screw people out of their money.

AAMCO in Redlands was referred to me by a friend, so I took my 1990 Bounder to them for a diagnosis! First I called and spoke to Angel who is the Manger I believe. I already had a quote from another location and basically knew I was unfortunately in need of a new transmission. The only thing pending was how much for repair and internal damage. Keep in mind I have never been to AAMCO before, nor do I know Angel. First of all Angel explained the entire process to me from the free diagnostics, to labor and examination of internal damages. Angel was very professional and what I like and noticed if I unintentionally interrupted him he stopped and aloud me to express myself regarding the situation. And then Angel would explain and answer all my questions. I really am skeptical a lot of times regarding businesses being honest and upfront. I had only changed my transmission fluid prior to the transmission sudden appearing not to function properly, so I kind of felt I was being scammed by these transmission repair shops. Anyhow, I drove my motorhome to AAMCO in Redlands and found Angel very professional and immediate service not having to wait was another plus in addition to Angels professionalism! I found the business itself extremely clean and organized which is a plus to me. Ultimately within a handful of days transmission was repaired along with some pricing and warranty negotiations and the job was complete. I initially had questions why my transmission went out like that all along thinking my transmission was fine. Angel had the transmission technician come out and explain everything to me as it was obvious the technician was old school and extremely knowledgeable about transmissions. They also pointed out a leak in cooling system for repairs. The technician was also very friendly and professional! So, now I’m driving home and discover that my motorhome is operating extremely well! I guess I was accustom to the old transmission thinking it was functioning properly! But, boy was I wrong! It shifted fantastic and climbed up the 10 freeway into Yucaipa with no problem and was shifting perfectly! I’m so glad I went to AAMCO and highly recommend them to anyone! I recently took my daughter car there and the transmission had to be serviced. The service tech Angel was very professional and he took great care of her car. I would like to thank the entire aamco staff for helping my daughter get back on the road in a timely manner and out of my car, Thank you.

I was assisted by Angel earlier today by appointment. He was professional and helpful with my all ny questions. What really stood out to me was how honest he was, I was originally quoted at $249.99 for a Transmission flush over the phone. Within a few minutes he explained that due to my transmission not having a cap or something related to that they are only going to charge me $219. He could of kept the original price and I would have not even noticed, especially since many companies are taking losses with this pandemic currently. I think that speaks volumes about integrity and overall honesty. Definitely would recommend just based on that

AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care in Redlands is a five star operation. The technicians and management at this location demonstrated such expertise, professionalism, and prompt service. I am a female who knows nothing about cars and was rather leery of mechanics, as some do not always have the best of reputations. Happy to report that when I had my Honda Accord 2005 towed there, I was greeted by Mike the manager and was immediately assisted and put at ease, which I instantly knew that I was indeed at the right place and in good hands. Mike went the extra mile for me and thanks to him and this establishment, I have my independence again and a new found faith in the industry, due in part to the ethical and transparent way I was treated by Mike. I would highly recommend this location and establishment to anyone, especially the female population who may be feeling apprehensive because you will be treated fairly.

I came in for a transmission service and found that a rebuilt transmission is what was needed. Even though I chose not to have the rebuild, I would 100% recommend AAMCO Redlands. Mikes customer service ethic is off the charts !! He made my husband and I feel very at ease. He was up front and honest about what was needed, and also finding out the they are full service for all automotive needs I will definitely be recommending and using their service in the future.

Everyone here is very rude angel also saying his the manager when his not . And then you have Larry the owner very rude. They charged my mother in law for a diagnostic that was never approved they charged her 200.00, so I called and told them that wasnt right to charge her for something she didnt approve of. And then the owner Larry told me to shut up and that I didnt know anything. So dont trust this place for your cars. Avoid them.

My transmission took a dump a few weeks ago. I knew it was going to be expensive, but I needed to get it fixed. Unfortunately, it was on a weekend so I had to wait until Monday. I had my car towed in first thing on Monday morning. Mike was professional and approachable. He gave me a likely road map for how the process would proceed. They had to rebuild my transmission. The work was completed by Friday and the repair cost was at the bottom end of his ballpark estimate. I can back two weeks later for inspection and my car was operating within normal parameters. They will definitely have my business if I need another transmission.

I originally gave this place a good review when my transmission was repaired but car had now broke down twice for the same transmission issue. Every time I was given a date for the repairs on my car to be finished the completion date was pushed back a few more days. The manager has shown no respect for my time or the money spent on the repairs.

I have had my transmission replaced by aamco redlands and brakes Mike was especially great customer service I really appreciate his service and support.

I took my vehicle in to service a check engine light issue. I brought it to AAMCO redlands because I hoped the issue fell under my extended warranty and AAMCO is an approved shop under my warranty company, but Sadly it wasnt covered. What pleased me was Mike, with AAMCO, explained that would likely be the case before hand so we were well prepared to incur the cost since he was familair with our warranty company. Aside from that, he gave us insight to the issue prior to racking up a bill and after the diagnostic it ended up being a less than $400 repair including diagnostic, parts and labor. He even worked with us on the diagnostic fee because one, we thought we would be covered by the warranty and two, he showed compassion towards our potentential set back from the current global pandemic. He completed the work so fast but kept the car overnight for us because it was more convenient for us to pick it up the next day. Overall our experience was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, honest and we felt very well cared for. I highly recommend AMMCO Redlands. Im so glad I found this gem of a shop to take my cars where I know there is integrity and honesty and the job will get done right. Thanks again, Mike!!!

I took my Durango to Mike at AAMCO after Redlands Dodge failed to address the problem in a timely manner. Dodge made me wait one week for an appt, and when I finally dropped it with them, they said it would take another week just to give me a diagnosis. Instead I took it to Mike, who diagnosed and fixed the problem in only 2.5 days. Mike was very attentive, and called me a couple times each day to let me know the progress. I rented a car at Enterprise during the time my Durango was being worked on; even the guys over there knew Mike and told me my car could not be in better hands than with him. I picked up my Durango last night and it runs great! Ill refer anyone to Mike at AAMCO, hes honest, kind, and extremely hardworking. Thank you so much!

Thought I had a transmission problem. They were honest and said everything was ok. Really appreciated the honest approach. They could have hosed me very easily. Highly recommended. Especially in this day and age.

Will not even give you a price for a transmission replacement regardless of whether that is your wish or not. Only want to sell you on the free diagnostic and offer a pathetic 24k warranty on a replacement (should it be deemed necessary by their specialized diagnostic). Not forthcoming and I would not trust these guys with my vehicle. If they cant give you a price for a straight forward transmission replacement they are going to try and rip you off. Stay away!

It took a bit longer for the diagnostics to get done than expected, but he gave me a significant discount on labor because of the delay. He came by the shop on Sunday (supposed to be closed) just so I could pick up my car. Felt very taken care of. Will be bringing my car here for any other repairs in the future.

I had an appointment with midas down the street, but they were all in a meeting ... I waited for a half hour with no one helping me out So I called AAMCO and Manny was more than happy to help me out. He got me in as soon as I arrived talk about customer service! Thanks Manny you now have a life long customer ;)

We went to get a new radiator, after the repairs were made we drove off parked our car. Well next day as we drove it, our car overheated!!!!! We called them to let them know what happened, we reserved a simple response of ( oh dont blame us)!!! Come to find out the fan was not connected which caused our car to overheat. Thanks to this mistake it cost us $2 thousand dollars in repairs. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE FOR ANY SERVICES OR RECOMMEND IT.

My wife and I travel a lot and we search out the best to work on our van. We had our transmission rebuilt like new by Aamco in Redlands Ca. This is after going to 4 different shops and asking question about our van. These are the only people who could answer my questions we had the work done and are very happy.

Manny was very helpful. No hassle and my truck is running like the day I bought it. Very satisfied with the work that AAMCO provided. I will be taking my cars here from now on.

Very clean shop indicates good work

I had a problem with a grinding noise coming from the driveline of my prerunner truck, and the AAMCO mechanics in Redlands CA were able to pinpoint the exact problem and confirm that it wasn’t a transmission problem, but in fact an alignment problem in the driveline and worn out motor mounts (Due to full sendage from offroading). Huge thanks to Mike at AAMCO in Redlands CA!!!

This place put on my new roaters for me 💕 at a very good value and deal . Later they even put my car back in the air to show me and teach me everything they did to my car . I couldn’t be more happy 😃 strongly recommend

I got my transmission rebuilt at this AAMCO in 2012 for $4,272.49. For that price, the only warranty I was given was for 24 months or 24,000 miles. I have recently learned that most places will give you a 100K mile warranty for their transmission. Also, most places will charge $1,500 to 2,500 dollars. I feel like I was not treated fairly by this AAMCO. It is now 2015 and my transmission needs to be rebuilt again only after 30,000 miles of usage. For the price I paid, I do not believe that should already be breaking down. Mechanics I have spoken to have told me that this usually means that the build was not done will or there was a mistake made. Please consider all your options and make sure you do your proper price checking before having this AAMCO work on your car, they will overcharge you and the transmission may not last in the long term.

My son took our truck there and we got it back about a week later, which was fine. With in a couple of days we had to take it back. We picked it up Saturday and on the way home it wouldnt come out if first gear!!!! Back we go, around our work schedules. Him and his wife need 2 cars and have been working with one for about a month, and now the are back to one again. This has been a nightmare.

Too overpriced in everything

Ive always gone here always had the same respect for me and my truck every time. they fix it right the first time. Mike is the best!

I called, talked to Manny, feared I had a catastrophic transmission failure in my 2015 Honda Civic. He offered a free diagnostic, I said, I cant afford $4000 for a new transmission, so could I pay for the diagnostic? He said Hold on to your money, this could be something minor. I had put 3 quarts of fluid in the previous weekend, I doubted it was minor. They treated me very well. When he called, I couldnt believe they found a loose sensor, topped the fluid, test drove the car, and decided not to charge me. Customer here for life. Thank you.

First off I want to make it clear that I am not a paid spokesman nor am I related to or friends with anyone that owns, works for, or is associated with AAMCO of Redlands.My review starts with the phone call I Made prior to going to the shop. I spoke with Mike and explained to him my situation and he came at me with follow up questions which is something a good technician should ALWAYS do while on the phone with a customer. It helps establish a relationship with the customer while simultaneously gathering additional information about the main concern. Then instead of just trying to get me into the shop he offered to give me a call back with an over the phone quote for parts and labor for what the problem sounded like. He called me back with a very fair estimate and even offered the services of a company they use for customer credit. Then offered for me to bring my vehicle in for a FREE DIAGNOSIS.I limped my vehicle into the shop and was greeted by Al. He was very friendly and professional. He took down my information while Mike finished with another customer. When I met Mike he was just as he was over the phone sympathetic of my situation and very professional. He assured me that his technician would find the problem and I would know shortly what it was. The technician Bill took it for a test drive and came back shortly. Mike addressed me to the counter and let me know that my clutch simply needed an adjustment and then told me that it was done and that there was no charge. Now let me tell you they could have easily sold me at minimum a 500 dollar service for which I was previously quoted but they didnt. The remained honest and helped me out. Thats what builds customers for life Mike stated. Well said sir. I can promise you that nobody will be touching my car before Mike and the good people of AAMCO of Redlands.

On April 30 th 2019 my husband n I had our truck towed to Armco to have it checked for a noice. The tires r bigger then they should b n the mgr mike said he couldn’t find any problemss n they put it up on the rack to check Under the truck n couldn’t find the problem so they next day we went to get the truck n they couldn’t find the keys about 5 to 10 min later still couldn’t find the keys I found them in the truck I left n went home the truck made the noise again I got home n my husband drove it to work n it made the noise twice he almost had it towed home but instead of paying for the tow he came home I had it towed by my insurance n with in 2 hrs after the other aamco received our truck they found out the hub assembly unit was bad on both sides in the front n the tired was really really wobbably we picked it up sat n it works fine I called and talk to the owner at the Redlands aamco n all he could do was bad mouth the aamco thatfound out the problem I will NEVER take my truck back to the aamco in Redlands I took both of my vechicle there like 7 or 8 times when manny was there but. NOw sence he is gone I will never take it there that was a safety issue.

Last Oct I stopped by your shop for a diagnosis on my mini van, because of my engine light came on. I was down there for cancer treatments. Your mechanics checked out my van, and you told me that the Torque Converter was out and the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I decided to wait to get back up to the Bay Area to repair my van. I took it to my mechanic up here when I got back home. The ONLY repair needed was a transmission flush. YOU TRIED TO RIP ME OFF FOR A TRANSMISSION REBUILD!!!! Either that or you have mechanics that do not know what the hell they are doing!!! I WILL NEVER STOP INTO AN AAMCO AGAIN!!! NO TRUST!!!!

Went in there a few months ago for a transmission problem on my truck when it wouldnt shift out of 1st gear.. Took it to another place for an inspection and the quoted me over $1500. Brought it here for a 2nd opinion and Larry told me it was just a sensor that had caused the problem. $300 and I was back on the road. Thank Larry!

Very disappointed in this place ..i went to get a diagnostic check (which they were offering free) and told me i needed another one and charged me 100$ for the 2nd one ..then told me i needed a new part and i would never find it anywhere else but with them and tried to charge me 800$ for the job ...i found the part right away 10 mins after they told me that i wouldnt find it and found the part for 256$ and i put it in myself ...it was a very simple job only 1 screw need to come off and be put back on for the job..they tried to over charge me for a very simple job i did in the driveway of my house ..very disappointed

Dont waste your time and money at this place. The manager will lie thru his teeth to you. A real scumbag. Had work done there and three weeks later the problem still exists. Please consider this before you go there.

Brought my car here after major transmission damage. They took care of me and my car with excellence.

I had my transmission replaced on my F250 sometime back and, as it was a farm truck I hardly used, it did not rack up many miles. When the transmission experienced problems, I took it back to AAMCO. Although it took a few times to get the problem with the transmission resolved, Larry’s crew figured it out and now my truck runs great. I have waited several months before writing this review to make sure there are no issues. All is well.

Took my handicap van in for transmission issue. Turned out to be a broken relay and there are not sold individually for replacement. It would cost me $1500 to replace the entire compartment. Manny ay aamco went out of his way and was able to find a used relay and fixed my van free of charge! Aamco is a great, honest business and will now be taking my vehicles here!

Beware Andy from Victorville AAmco trying post as me in prior post with my name misspelled like you did on my wifes paperwork Chaidez is correct spelling, the words used were verbatim as you put on our paperwork. Cant wait to show Corporate when i report you! My experience with Mike at Redlands was very proffessional and how Customer Service should be. Andy at Victorville AAmco shame on you, the lengths of your FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOR, UNETHICAL PRACTICES, know no bound. BTW its Jerry Rigged not jury rigged, learn to spell before posting.
