Used to be an affordable place to grab some older video games and movies. Now half of the time eBay is cheaper. Might as well just order most of this stuff online now. Which is a shame.

Very conveniently located near Red Town Center, this area has started bustling as a result of new commercial and residential developments. Half price books is one myself of my favorite places. It is fun browsing previously owned books. Reminds me of another time. Store also has a great vinyl record collection and lots of used DVDs Although selection is limited, one can purchase new release best sellers at online prices

Due to pandemic getting appointment to sell books is tricky I got my appointment two weeks later from my call even after getting appointment I couldnt sell my exam preparation books since they dont have much resale value. Nice selection of records. Didnt end up buying from them but I have in the past, always nice at check out. Had a cold water dispenser which is good because it was particularly warm on the day that I went in.

I love shopping here, but the idea of selling your books here is ridiculous if you are actually expecting something that makes it worth the trouble. The time waiting for them to process, which isnt too long, isnt worth what they will give you. Unless youre time isnt worth more than $6 or $7 an hour.May as well donate them

Average used book store. Youre better off going to the one at Crossroads

Its great to have this place around so I dont have to throw away unwanted books. That said, I always feel they dont give me a fair price for my books.

I can usually get what I need and find some treasures. I love that I can easily order books for a low price. My collection of records, books, action figures and comics continue to grow for a low price. Books are always of high quality.

Their metaphysical section is really nice, I wasnt expecting to see it that nicely filled! That was awesome. The YA section as well, was beautifuly packed. The employees at the cashier were very friendly upon entering and our cashier that checked us out, was very nice and accommodating as well!

This place is great! Be sure to check out the boardgames near the front registers- they always have some rad finds there. The staff, Ive found to be very knowledgeable as well and really kind about making suggestions for you. Plus, its apparently haunted and that alone is worth exploring!

Probably my favorite place in Redmond. They not only have discounted new releases, but their PNW and vintage leather bound selection is also amazing. Plus theyre pet friendly and super chill. Worth a drop in!

Super cute store. Friendly staff. There is always a mix of quality. Some old books and some newer or even seemingly brand new books. Prices range from only a few dollars to basically full price. They also have the ability to look and order anything you cant find in store that you are wanting. Only takes a few days.

They always have a bountiful religious book selection full of Bibles and reference works at good prices. Cashier ANow054 was very personable and helpful.

After looking around, I was able to find perhaps... Three things of some interest and one thing I debated. The item that I really liked were priced much higher than expected.Their record section is skippable.

I love this chain. Old fashioned really. An eclectic mix of books, comics, toys, DVDs all well priced. Nothing fancy just lots of browsing fun. This one has its own parking lot too. And this sign was one of the funniest I have seen..

I love this location of Half-Price Books so much. Its got a really wide selection, both new and used. Its fun to just browse their genre fiction, because i often find gems that are out of print. The cookbook and craft/hobby guide sections are huge. They also have a lot for children, not only books but also games and puzzles.

Great selection of kids books for different ages and reading levels. I picked up several books with my kids to practice reading and they had a great time browsing the shelves.

As an avid reader bookstores are always a pleasure to go to. However, Ive noticed that Ive tended to head to HPB as a regular bookstore for a while. The Redmond branch is simply exceptional. The selection is great, and bar none the staff just makes you feel like they really care and want you to have the best experience youve ever had in a bookstore. Thank you HPB Redmond! We had a really great time there today!

Good collection of books. Decent price for the books that they buy off you.

It’s a great place with great books and accessories. There are amazing options and books available. You can ask the cashier to find books on their system for you to check the availability, which saves time. You can sit and read inside for a while. It’s located in a nice place so you a lot of food and drinks around. The connectivity is good by bus transit and parking is available on the backside.

Every time I come here I feel so happy - I can reconnect with stories, games, and merchandise from my childhood, as well as buy things I used to not have easy access to. The people here are always so nice to chat with and you’ll always find something good to take home with you.

They have books. For cheap. And they will actually call you when the book you asked for is in. And the fantasy/sci Fi section is massive.

They have some of the most eclectic books and by far the best vynil and movie collection alongside their books compared to other local half price stores. Staff are always friendly too. Great sidewalk deals every day. Generally pretty quiet inside as well which is a bonus.

Been going to half price books here in Redmond for 5 years now. The employees are very nice and have always been able to answers questions. There tv shows are great price and they have big variety of things. I love there cook books great place to get vegan cook books. The store is clean and organized.

Foul business! I called Bellevue location yesterday asking if I can bring books and they said they have stopped “pricing books” for the day so I should come back on Wednesday. I went in today with a trunk full of books and they said they are done pricing for the day. I called Redmond store from Bellevue parking lot and they said yes they can price the books today. I took the books to Redmond and reached there within less than 15 minutes of this conversation. As soon as I entered and asked about bringing books in for pricing they said they just closed pricing more books for today a minute before I walked in. I cannot believe both locations can have such coincidental closing of pricing right when I arrive. Also, neither of these locations support scheduling an appointment forcing you to be at their mercy and tricks. They do offer the option for donating the books and honestly I would have been fine just donating them books. But given this experience I doubt their business ethics and would rather donate my books somewhere else. I would not recommend this business to anyone for giving your books or buying.

Usual rating is five stars for the selection and so-so prices.It loses stars today though for their low buyback offer for books and front desk customer service in 2020.August 2020Does the gentleman with gray hair at the front desk have a chip on his shoulder? Two visits in a row in August, Ive had some interesting interactions with him that tell me he doesnt want to shine in customer service. I dont feel very welcome here for as long as hes the front desk cashier. He blew me off when I was standing in line, and sounded irritated with me, which left me feeling irritated when I left, although this isnt how I felt when I visited. Everyone who works at this location is usually helpful, but now everyone is stressed out or short-tempered. It shows, guys. I know its a pandemic, but the customers who walk in feel as you do, and we still want our cozy, homey customer experience to take our minds off the news.

An AMAZING bookstore! I loved the selection of books here. However, things can be on the pricier side, and if you care about it, there are mostly used books. Lots of art and crafts stuff too!

Different Stores, Different Stories..Thats what they say and thats how it is!While I frequent the Crossroads location more often, the Redmond store is on our way home from church and we are often drawn in. The store is neat. The staff are friendly. And we always find something new and interesting.And! They have their own parking kit!!

I love Half Price Books in Redmond! My most favorite book shop ever!

I always love going to Half Price Books, but this was my first time at this particular location. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much stuff this location had! They seemed to carry more of the vintage/collectible items (older books and records, vintage comics, action figures, etc) than most of the other locations Ive visited. I ended up buying a bunch of cool older spider-man comics and regretfully had to pass on some other interesting items so I didnt go too overboard on spending. Ill definitely be trying to make it down here again sometime soon!

People usually go here for books, and maybe toys. It does have Books in the name. But this store actually sells a lot of used games, so if youre interested in collecting old games, try taking a peek here! The staff are also really kind, and the store looks pretty cool too.

Dont waste your time selling them books, just donate them. I took over 50 perfect condition books, some of them brand new, worth about $700 new and got $11.25 in return for them.

The store is set up to support social distancing. They have a large selection of used books, CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles, etc. Its one of my favorite stores

They took me as a fool. They basically robbed me. Knowing I wouldn’t be taking the books back. I knew the worth. To add salt to the wound they actually laughed at myself and my child on our way out. They didn’t realize that I was still watching. High class areas, and terrible morals. The place was nice enough looking anyway.

Half Price Books took some of my old books off my hands and gave me a decent price for them. It wasnt much, but something is better than nothing! It was a huge relief finding a bookstore to buy them. Places like this are disappearing.

Love this place! I always look here for books before I buy them new. Some half price books are very dusty because of the nature of the store, but this one is nice and dust free (great for us with asthma!). All employees are very nice and helpful.

Im always surprised when I stop in, I collect old vinyl and Ive found records here that I cant find in big record stores. They also carry a wide selection of new childrens books and art supplies that you cant find anywhere else. I look at Half Price Books first now.

Fun place to poke around. Has tons of movies, books, TV shows, random board games, comics, CDs, some records, all at good prices! Books are often more than half off. The bargain books for $1 are fun to look through. Parking is usually pretty easy to find. Never seems too packed but also seems popular.

This is a good book store. Normally Ill order online for electronic delivery but every so often, I need to have the physical book in hand. Has come in very handy when the kids tell you they need a classic by Monday morning and its Sunday. They have a good selection and the prices are very reasonable. Recommend.

Love this location! So many nooks and crannies to explore. The staff is very helpful and thorough. Great sales and an excellent place for gifts.
