Great place! Its warm and inviting with a variety of couches and tables. The coffee is tasty albeit a little pricey. The shop sells a variety of things too. Great place to pass the time or socialize with friends. Definitely worth stopping by if youre in Redmond.
Soul Food is such a warm and inviting place. Jordan is knowledgeable about their food and drink options and can help you find exactly what you want that day. Fantastic service and quality food/drink options!
The chai lattes here are amazing! They have several different options, so make multiple visits and try them all! Also theres nice ambiance to sit, sip, and talk with someone if you like. There is a really cool rock collect with lots of things for sale too. Definitely a cool place with a great vibe!
Ample and comfortable seating, cozy atmosphere. Coffee is not impressive, nor their baked goods. The scone I got looked like a week old and after seeing the flies in their bakery display, it went straight to the bin. I might be back for the seating, but not for the coffee and definitely not for the treats.
Love the vibes here! The employees are SO nice and the coffee was great! My partner and I recently moved to the area, this will definitely be a place that we will go to frequently!!!
Inclusive and fun atmosphere! Got a chicken biscuit and blackberry mocha. Has a nice hand drawn diagram of proper face mask wearing, and all the variations that people try which dont make the cut. 😉
Got a cold brew coffee (black; no milk or sugar), and it was delicious! They have tasty gluten-free treats, along with their lovely spread of regular baked goods.(My celiacs didnt go away with everyone elses fad diet, so its a wonderful surprise to find things I can eat, while Im out.)We ordered coffee and had it outside. The chill vibes are still here and, if anything, social distancing makes this spot even more introvert-friendly.TL;DR: good food, good coffee, good vibes. 10/10
Great vibes and energy in a wide open space for your witchy caffeine and focus fix. They also used to do live music before the pandemic, so hopefully theyll be able to open to back performance area again soon.
What isn’t there to say? Great coffee, metaphysical goodies, and tasty treats.Pre-Covid, it was the best rainy day hangout for our community. Especially stage performances. I’m excited for them to return.Covid safety is 11/10: well-enforced and following the latest protocolsThis is /the/ Redmond coffee shop, my go-to. Oh, and most importantly - it’s an incredibly safe space for all communities 💜
I was expecting a real Soulfood coffee house, not a hippie coffee shop.. The atmosphere was nice, with a lot of cool trinkets. The coffee was okay. I prefer strong roasts, but their espresso had an overly burnt bitter taste.
Always a wonderful experience with some unique coffee drinks. The entire place is a source of calm in chaos. We make a point of dropping in anytime we are in the area for both drinks and beautiful items to make us smile. Highly recommend!
The coffee was okay, but they were incredibly anti-science. They dont wear masks and the store is littered with astrology and healing stones and other crystals they have for sale. These scams should not be allowed in this city. Im also a bit offended that their name is Soulfood, but there isnt a single bit of soul food on the menu, nor any black people employed by the company. Its just plain appropriation.
Food and coffee didnt taste good at all. People are super nice product lacking highly
My favorite favorite spot. Sweetest crew of baristas ever:) Best coffee too.
They dont pay attention to Joe App orders. Twice I have had to go in the store after 20 minutes after ordering online. The cashier was more interested in her drawing than giving online order to the barista.
I dont make it out to Washington often, but every time I do I try to visit SoulFood. The atmosphere is amazing, whether youre here to work or just get together with friends
Though our first visit was brief, it was also excellent. Wait times didnt do anything but tell us we were in for a treat. Curling up on giant leather arm chairs to check out the atmosphere while we sipped our drinks was exactly what was needed. Staff was great, and the whole place had a wonderful feel to it. 🥰
Great coffee, great people, wonderful environment. Everyone is friendly and positive. Could not recommend this place more.
Great food! Amazing ambiance.
Great staff, cozy atmosphere and good coffee
Awful coffee - sour and burnt. No people in line, but waited for 2 cups cappuccino about 10 minutes
Cute little hippie coffee shop. Very comfortable.
Good coffee. Nice place outdoor space. Hippy love vibe.
Nice out of the way coffee house with great snack food
Absolutely lovely coffee shop, check it out if you can!*Queer Community Safe*Note: This review is during the pandemicI found this coffee shop after bouncing around other cafes in Redmond, trying to find a place to study. SoulFood has plenty of seating available (ask before sitting!), and has Wifi upon request.Jordan was a rockstar and chatted with me as I figured out my order (get a quiche if you can, the goat cheese asparagus is delicious). She asked for my pronouns and ensured that I had everything I need. Jordan was fast and efficient with my order, all with the most pleasant and kind attitude.I got a Baristas choice by Christopher, who made me the most amazing Lavender Cupcake latte. Usually Im not a huge fan of floral flavors, but this latte was absolutely amazing! If youre looking for the best coffee shop in Redmond, SoulFood Coffee House is your stop.
Always nice to stop in for a coffee and breakfast. Super friendly staff and amazing coffee. When you are not yet awake enough to make a choice on coffee might I suggest baristas choice? :)
Tasty pastry, warm atmosphere, and great customer service with recommendations of food and drink
Cute hippy-esque coffee shop. Sells charms, stones and incense. Also a library inside.
I personally really like this place. Its kind of unique and the vibe is good. This time I came back and got myself a cup of raspberry Italian soda which has redbull as one of the main ingredients. The one I got doesnt taste like it has redbull in it at all. I dont know if theyre out of redbull and forgot to mention it when I ordered, or the one who made my drink made a mistake, or she is new and didnt know she was supposed to put redbull in there. It tastes just like sparkling water with some cream and raspberry syrup. I feel really upset.Idk when Ill be back again but if I do come back, I hope they can pay more attention to my order. The croissants are good btw.
Went here because Happy cow said they had vegan food options. When we arrived they had none but they said they were getting options soon apparently. The shop itself was really unique and the coffee was nothing to write home about. They had a nice fall flavor selection though.
I am going to try to keep this short and sweet! It is like a hidden oasis! Once you walk through the doors, you feel a sense of peace, the smiles and heart of the staff are as grounding as coffee itself. As you become part of the soul family of regulars here, you will see this is not just a coffee house. It is a divinely appointed place where the most beautiful souls come to connect. This is what being a community is all about. Namaste :)
I grew up coming to Soul Food, before the current owners even owned the shop! I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is one of the most warm, inviting, and comforting places in Redmond. With a wide variety of crystals, oils, candles, coffees, cold drinks, and delicious foods, Soulfood always makes you want to come back. This is a great place (outside of the current pandemic) to meet new people and listen to local artists as well. I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already.
The atmosphere is amazing, and the coffee is great also! If you want to experience a wonderful coffee shop, with an unforgettable experience, come check it out!
The best place in the world, hands down. Get crystals and coffee and food and all of the kindness!
LOVE THIS PLACE coffees greatLove the AtmosphereAnd IF YOUR A HIPPY AT HEARTYA GOTRA GO VISIST
Probably the best coffee shop in the Seattle metropolitan area! The staff and other patrons are kind, friendly and welcoming. The environment is cozy, peaceful and warm. I cant say enough good things about Soul Food.
The coffee and tea selection is spectacular. I had a Cheech and Chong chai latte, which was made with hemp milk, and is worth going back for. Their pastries were unappealing, but theyre planning on revamping the menu, so maybe those will improve. (I hope they keep their beverage selection!) They try very hard to stock local products. They also have a lot of community activities, which is nice.
I was appreciative of it being open for New Years. It has quite a potpourri of abstract items it sells in addition to a cup of joe or tea as I like.
Soul Foods is a wonderful blend of high quality drinks (I personally love their hot cocoa, cold brew with the salted caramel, and a great little drink called the Bug in a Rug thats actually done of the experiments made by one of the baristas), unique ambiance (the combination with a metaphysics store gives it a wonderful design), great service (Speed is quite good even when theres a line, and the people are a delight to chat with) and great gift items (a gemstone, card deck, or art piece certainly beats out a gift card any day). Easily my favorite coffee shop in Redmond. In addition, for the witches, Hermetic practitioners, occultists, and other magically studious, casual or focused, its a great place to shop for both the low cost essentials like candles, incense, and un/carved stones and the higher budget grabs.
Soul Food Coffee House, funky coffeehouse with crystals, earth friendly cups and lids. Best Chi Tea, spicy, much better than that boxed stuff other places use.
Some really excellent coffee. Food choices are average. Not bad by any means but likely bought from a local big box chain. The nice part is that hot sandwiches are made to order so there is some customization possible. The people are wonderful. I regret that I discovered this place during the COVID 19 downturn. I am anxious to see this place in full swing...with live music and all.
Excellent 20 oz. latte. Coffee isnt super strong, so 4 shots is perfect.
I loved it here! Very cozy vibe, cute gifts and crystals on sale, smells like incense and coffee. Vegan options available. Plenty of seating. Cool art on the walls and they host some events in the evenings like poetry nights. Will definitely be back!
An absolutely amazing little coffee shop hidden from the world. Has all the usual drinks, but then some unique ones as well. The vibe is relaxed and warm. I try to go weekly! One of my favorite morning stops on the Eastside. Plus if you are looking for incense or the latest tie-dye fashion, you will find it around the shop.
Ambience and wonderful staff. Love checking out the rotating art exhibition!
Very unique place. Its a cafe with everything you would typically expect, but its also a cute little shop with incense, stones, jewelry and more. There are plenty of places to sit and do work or to read a book. They also have a stage for live music that occurs on certain nights.Overall a geat place that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cozy spot to spend a few hours.
Not very customer friendly and very limited choices
When I have the time, I love to drink a latte while sitting on one of their couches. Great coffee! Great vibes!
Best chai in the Seattle area and everything else is amazing too. The atmosphere is very hippie-ish, but that doesnt detract from it in the slightest.
Nice environment
If you are looking for a place to relax, rejuvenate and maybe get some spiritual inspiration this is it. The people here are awesome, patient and kind. The music is always needed. The vibe is unexplainable. I like to come here to work or just get out of the house. If you need Crystals, books, incense, tarot reader, live music, etc. Have no fear soul food is near!
What can I say? LOVE (love love love) this place. Its my go-to place for espresso, a cookie, and a comfy chair where I can write and people-watch. Good selection of crystals (and the owner is very knowledgeable). Astrology night with Rick Levine +1. Even though Im not much for open mic music, there has been some very good talent. Only improvement I could suggest is Ive tried the pot of tea a few times but it is so weak theres almost no flavor.
Soulfood is an awesome place to hang out and do anything. Events are happening all the time, making it a community center. At off times it is quiet and they have lots of outlets for working. The people at the counter are super nice. And their drinks and food are awesome too!
I really liked the concept & loved the assortment of syrups! The service was friendly and we tipped well. We did not like the drinks at all. Ordered a 12 oz hot latte and a 16 oz iced latte both with syrup. Both coffees were lacking appropriate amount of espresso and we both threw them out after a few sips. Some barista training is needed.
Very accommodating, wonderfully unique coffee drink flavors without all the added sugar.
Oh gosh. Where to start? Its an oasis for me. I sink into the couch and run away to the pages of my book; wander through the crystal selection; thumb new spiritual books; chat with the awesome staff. Its just a welcoming warm place to feel safe and get some good coffee and nosh. Id feel lost without Soul Food.
Wonderful shop with mystical type merchandise, delicious coffee, stellar service! Check it out, good ambiance!
Love this space. A music venue with a really great vibe Hands-On provided by the owners Kevin and Makia. Both lifelong musicians who understand and know how to do this right. Oh and not to mention the great coffee and and wonderful food this place is a real gem.
This is my favorite haunt for drinking tea and buying crystals. Very nice vibes, very nice staff. This place has live music and open mic nights, as well as guest speakers. If youre into New Age lifestyle, youll find pretty much all you need here--incense, gemstones, cauldrons, tarot/oracle cards, pendulums, candles, natural remedies, etc. This is the closest thing youll get to a witch shop in Downtown Redmond.
Great atmosphere, good coffee.
This is a great place to sit down and have coffee. Dont get things to go. Sit. Relax. Enjoy the live music and the interesting things to buy and look at. Talk quietly with a friend, sink into a comfy chair, and take 15 minutes to breathe a bit. And drink and savor your coffee from big warm ceramic mugs. The coffee and pastries are quite good, mind you. But its the feeling you get from drinking a nice latte in a big mug and chilling that makes this place special.
Really fun vibe and super nice people!! The coffee was great and we loved the vegan options for the coffee and a couple of the desserts (that were also delicious). 🤩
I love the atmosphere. Pretty cozy.Chai latte is awesome and chocolate muffin as well. They have live music sometimes on weekends
Cute local coffee shop with creative coffee and tea lattes and a great atmosphere
Stumbled on this place a few years ago. It reminded me so much of my hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. Super mellow vibe with crystals, books, etc. Coffees are pretty good and they have a selection of breakfast sandwiches that can be heated up. They have a stage for music, but have never been there in the evening to check it out. Lots of comfy chairs and some outdoor seating too from what I recall. A great place to relax and hang out.
Very chill and laid back atmosphere. A wonderful place to read, catch up on emails, or chat with a friend. Besides AMAZING tasting coffee and food, they also have a nice variety of beautiful locally made items, ranging from gorgeous handmade cards and jewelry, to unique small items and more. Its wonderful to be able to find a unique item and help support a local artist! They also offer a nice variety of live events held at their facility. (check out the website for further info).
Peaceful!! That’s how I’d describe this place. If you are looking for good coffee in a nice atmosphere this is it. You will be surrounded by art and good customer service, they have a great selection of gemstones.
Ive had mixed experiences in this place. Sometimes their coffee is great and other times its just sub par. The ambience of this place is always great though. It has a sort of good feeling to it. They also have guest bands performing on Saturdays that I havent been able to enjoy in person yet. However Ive heard theyre generally good! Bottom line, the experience as a whole is great whereas coffee could be better.
The coffee here isnt really my favorite, but the atmosphere is wonderful. Its a very cozy and comfortable place to relax, and when Im meeting friends I often choose this place as the meeting spot. And while I say the coffee isnt the best, its still pretty good. They have a lot of interesting specialty drinks. Sometimes there are live performances here.
Soulfood has something for everyone. Its a down to earth spot for studying, catching up with pals, and they have an open mic on weekends. Usually highschool type students performing covers, but definitely a cute experience.
Large coffee shop with a stage for open-mic nights. Good coffee. Bit of a patchouli and crystal vibe but not full on crazy.
Cozy coffee house with a comfortable atmosphere and delicious brews. The food is simple & tasty, and they offer gluten-free bread ($1 extra) for sandwiches, which I greatly appreciate. Perfect place to spend a rainy day, have a chat with a friend over some tea, or get work done.
Coffee is good, and the staff is very friendly but recently the food and drinks tend to come at somewhat of a glacial pace. Took the better part of 20 minutes to get a sandwich. The atmosphere is great and lots of space to sit and work and if youre not in a hurry its great place to hang out. Its quiet, which I like a lot. Just give yourself a bit more time than youd be used to at a Starbucks or Five Stones.
One of my favorite coffee shops. Love the vibe here!
Fantastic atmosphere, kind people, good food, all in all a relaxing place to go for Ann hour or two. Coffee wasnt the best Ive had, but it was strong and reasonably priced. Definitely has my recommendation.
Cozy place with a lot of seating. A very soothing energy about the place. They have neat trinkets they sell too ranging from crystals to candles to locally made honey. Great spot to meet with friends or study. I’ve spent hours here studying!
I give the Soul Food Coffee House and Fair Trade Emporium thats located at 15748 Redmond Way, Redmond, WA 98052 FIVE COFFEE STARS. New to this area and now I have a place to chill while enjoying a great cup of coffee. Ive been exploring many coffee spots and this one is now on top of my list. Such peace with a relaxing vibe. 5️⃣ 🌟S next time Im in town I will stop by again.
Easy parking. A nice stage and sound system. Laid back vibe.
Love the vibe here and the coffee
By far my favorite coffee shop I’ve ever been too. Amazing coffee. I usually drink dark roast but asked for a suggestion. Owner told me shot in the dark with Carmel. Excellent suggestion because I loved it. The baristas are always friendly, especially Jordan. There are numerous plugs, lots of seating (but does get crowded sometimes) and the atmosphere is very positive. Makes me feel like I can grab coffee and conquer the world. I highly suggest if you’re ever in or close to Redmond.
Very cool space with lots to look at and tables spread throughout. Its more of a store selling crystals, scented oils, incense, candles, and other eastern-as-interpreted-by-the-west type stuff, but the coffee was good. Relatively slow service but I wasnt in a hurry, so didnt bother me. The good coffee clearly made with care made it worth the wait. Overall very chill vibe and a great place to hang out on a weekend with a book.
Delicious coffee, great vibes, creative artwork, awesome products such as books, crystals, incense, jewelry, and even on the spot tarot readings! Super heady place to chill. Even a cute little stage for occasional live music. One of the baristas made my day with her vibrant energy. Great start to my day today ;) highly recommend!
I am here from Arizona. I am very pleased!!!!! Staff was so very nice helpful and I will e back. If you live in the area you must try it. I recommend the iced hemp late. The hemp milk makes the drink smother a d creamy. This is the type of place we need more of.
There is a crystal and incense vibe that could throw off someone, but it is really nice. There are several options for seating, alone or in group. There are board games at the coffee bar and a kid area on the other side.
Love this place. I did the open mic here. And the environment, the people, the drinks. Amazing. A really great place
I love this place, my friend introduced ed this place to me a couple weeks ago and we spent hours there studying and just enjoying the atmosphere. They do live music there, sadly I wasnt there on that day. I love that do organic milk and hemp milk. I had a blast.
Really nice selection of coffee and tea drinks, plus good muffins and bagels. The baristas do a fine job and are always friendly. Very comfortable selection of seating surrounded by displays of other things they sell.
