The açai bowls are pretty good but they need to even out The açai two granola ratios (not enough granola). Our most recent order items were forgotten so that’s a bummer. Restaurant should be doing more to make sure they’re sending out all the items that were paid for. Also the coxinhas are overpriced in my opinion.

Kitanda is great in general but this location is pretty awful. Of the 3 times I came in, Acai smoothies were available... zero times. Last time they said its because its frozen. I dont what to tell you, can you try defrosting it? Anyway they have good coffee so try to sit down, plug in my phone thats on 1% and... none of the outlets work? K. Would not recommend

Your new staff are awful. Was just embarrassed by them unnecessarily. One or two bad meals is excusable but what happened today was wrong. Really sad to see a place we loved so much fall, but I will not accept abuse.Original review:Kitanda continues to be our default option when we dont know where we want to go or we just want good espresso, great snacks or a light meal, and a place to hang out in town for a bit. They do all kinds of fun stuff with their (gluten free) tapioca buns, ranging from sandwiches to desserts.Theres a bakery case full of all kinds of sweets worth trying. A couple of the staff like recommending modifications that make already fantastic desserts even more decadent (try adding condensed milk to the coconut roll).Theyre also where I get my coffee beans for at home, because they sell beans with a nice flavor at a low price.

Excellent coffee. Barista makes a perfect cup every time. Their standard cup of Americano has 2 shots of espresso but I asked for one with a single shot of espresso and they made it perfectly. Also tried the Brazilian cheese bread mini bites and the cheese roll and the coconut roll. Loved all of them. They even have pretty butterfly shaped chairs outside the cafe. Since its in Redmond Town Center its a perfect place to rest and recharge with a cup of coffee and snacks during shopping

Baristas here are so kind and sweet, and there’s a great selection of anything from coffee, tea, and energy drinks as well as tons of delicious baked goods and snacks. The only thing that bothers me is that there’s no way to tip electronically and I (as well as so many others) don’t really carry cash on hand but would be more than happy to tip the baristas when we pay with our cards! Maybe an update to the system is due, a lot of other coffee/drink shops allow electronic tipping and I’m here for it! 😁

The best way to describe Kitanda is different. Seems they just have fewer customers so its easier to remember your name and drink. Brazilian coffee (condensed milk syryp) tastes different from that other store, and yes, the breakfast sandwich is good not great, but they do offer beef pockets and acai bowls worth exploring. But what keeps them from that 5 stars is the lack of atmosphere. Its clean, devoid of a zoomy business atmosphere, but always has a table at the back so thats why I go back. Reminds me of Woods, but theyre not even trying to offer a unique feel, outside of the coffee and eats, of course.

The food and drinks are great, but the service needs a bit of work. This is our second visit, and each time the barista and server seem confused and took way too long to get the orders out. I dont expect to wait 15+ minutes for my order when only one other person is ahead of me. The first time this happened I thought ok theyre still working out the kinks, but for it to still be so chaotic a month or more late is too much.

Tocinillo de Cielo is a distant cousin of flan. It is sometimes mistakenly called Tocino del Cielo, which literally means bacon from heaven. No matter what you call it, Tocinillo de Cielo is sweeter and lighter than flan, light on the tongue -- youll find yourself tempted to inhale this stuff! And I recommend for you guys to have it in your menu, however 😋 Ive eating all around the world seeking for a romeo & juliet like yours and you guys are my number 1 thank you!!!

I am very upset with how I was just treated at this cafe. I walked in at 6:15 (Th 3/17) unaware that the location is closed at 6, but the door was unlocked so I went in. I see four people in the cafe, two are seated at a table and two employees behind the counter. This punk a** kid immediately yells across at me “we’re closed man!” “We’re closed!”. His tone and attitude was entirely unbecoming and I was shocked. I was immediately put on the defensive and since I was already inside and there were at least 2 (possibly 4) employees in the building I figured they’d accommodate a customer, after all their door was still open! But he wouldn’t let me order and just barked that they close at 6:00 and that the bread sold out at 5:30. Ive rarely been treated with as much rudeness and apathy by a restaurant before. I just discovered Kitanda and I love Brazil, Brazilian food, and brasileiros so I was excited to find somewhere I can get real açaí, pão de queijo, and café. BUT I will NOT be going back until that young man is fired. I dont know what happened during that kids day but he has no excuse to take it out on me as if I were an intruder rather than a guest. Whatever his issue, he has no business sense nor an appreciation for brazilian culture. You need employees who are willing to be friendly if letting a guest know that they are closed. When I’m in the mood to be mistreated I usually visit Walmart, maybe you should send him there.

There was a large selection of unique pastries, breads and sandwiches, and several excellent gluten-friendly options. We had the breakfast sandwiches on gluten-free Brazilian cheese bread, and they really hit the spot. The coffees have a wonderful aroma, and definitely stand out from other local shops. With many different options, the coffee isn’t bitter and has lots of options to choose from flavor and strength-wise.Seating inside is limited but we did find a table. I normally drink just black coffee, but at this place I always get the Brazilian latte. I have not tried their Acai bowls, but I have watched them make it and they look good. If there are a few people who ordered Acai bowls ahead of you prepare for a wait as they dont always have enough people on hand to make the bowls and cashier. Then fills it halfway and puts it on the counter. I said, “Uh, it looks a lot less than 12 ounces...”. This is a great little coffee joint. Their pastries are better than what you would get from any Starbucks locations. Ive enjoyed the vibe, patries, and somewhat enjoyed their coffee. I got here at 10:47 with one person in line in front of me and we both waited for 10 minutes before the lady even turned around to talk to us. There were two people behind the counter working one doing the coffee and the other doing the food. There really needs to be at least one more person back there to help out! Then after my long wait, they didn’t have any large cheese bread so they couldn’t make any of the sandwiches. She said it would be 30 more minutes before they were ready! The lack of preparation is entirely managements fault.Update 3/3/20 it’s 12:45 and they are out of cheese bread again. The girl at the counter said it will be 12 minutes. Someone needs to figure out a better system of making them before you run out.
