I would just like to start this review off by addressing some of the unfair criticism about this company, because there is a lot on here, likely just coming from a place of frustration.first, the review by Political Risk is arguably one of the least intelligent reviews Ive ever seen on Google. They are complaining about the tax on purchasing store credit and says its unlike eBay where you only pay tax if youre actually buying something. yes you pay the normal 5.5% sales tax when buying store credit; but when you purchase actual cards on this platform after obtaining credit, there is no tax. So in the end, this is no different than eBay charging their sales tax when you buy an item. He says it isnt 1:1 as if it was a gift card purchase, but you would still pay the sales tax after whatever you bought with the card if you werent taxed for the purchase of it? You can also get your remaining store credit refunded if you do not use it all.Another reviewer called this site overpriced, which is absurd. Thats the equivalent of calling eBay overpriced, considering these are individual sellers selling on COMC. Regardless, It is more than possible to find great deals on here. Especially if you arent searching for the same guys everyone else is. Ive bought hundreds of cards off hereI will say the one downside and valid criticism, is a major one for me. The shipping time is absolutely ridiculous, unless you pay for rushed which is hardly rushed. I just paid upwards of $25 extra to receive my cards in 2 weeks as opposed to 1 month. And extra 25 will get you overnight shipping at most online stores. Not sure whats causing the delay, but been like this for over a year.

New to modern sports card collecting, but once I was turned onto COMC I have been using it a lot. Honestly, I dont mind the delays-- theyre doing what they can. I have a 4 month wait to withdraw some cards from my account but whatever.

Long time customer, over 6 years and can no longer say much good things about their service. Dont care about their customers or reputation. They just keep making promises with no intention of actually meeting deadlines. Its easy to say its COVID or the surge in the hobby and every company has been impacted with delays and being overwhelmed. COMC has done very little to address their deficiencies, and instead keep making more and more guarantees they can not fulfill.

Dont believe the over the top negative reviews of this place. There was a huge surge of people buying trading cards in the winter of 2021. COMC was overwhelmed and experienced significant delays where people had to wait very long to get their cards. BUT COMC handled issues that arose during this time even though they took awhile. They sent me a card that had been missing from my order made during this period free of charge (i.e. they sent the card and a refund). COMC continues to be an industry leader offering unique, valuable services at an affordable cost. Buy and sell at COMC with confidence.

COMC used to be one of my favorite companies to use in the sports card business. They have gotten so bad that is simply no longer worth even dealing with them. They will not reply to e-mails and have absolutely no intention of meeting their shipment deadlines. I would strongly advise you to stay away from this company. Once I get all my inventory from them, I am done! They release nicely worded statements every now and again on how they plan to do better, but things just get worse. Terrible!

Would leave 0 stars if an option !!Purchased cards for a rare signing we are participating in on 4/16, was told they would ship 5/10 (Mind you signing is 5/14). 5/10 comes and guess what! Nope haven’t shipped and am told I can either wait or get a refund. Absolutely the worst business practices I have ever seen and my profession is supplier performance management!!! What happened to this place? They used to be really great years ago!I recently submitted a bunch of cards for grading. About 2 months later, the cards show back up in my account with NO grade or encapsulation?!All that money I paid to get my cards graded to where all I get back are a few notes... some minor corner wear here.... rough edges.Gee, thanks for nothing!I have done business with COMC since they day they opened. With that said, however, Im done with them, as I wont be sending them any more of my cards. I guess Ill just stick to selling/trading with friends, having a yard sale, or maybe having an occasional ebay sale if I have something really good. Adios!

COMC used to be the best place to buy PC cards in the world, however that has changed! Been waiting on a package since 2/15 and nothing. Currently trying to get a full refund on the items since shipping for them seems to be the most complicated thing in the world, however, since i agreed to the refund, the customer service specialist has not been responding to my emails. Weird how that works huh? COMC is really a good company for taking your money and holding your cards hostiage, besides that, they are horrific now! THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THEIR EBAY PAGE OR WEBSITE, READ THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAUS, EBAY AND GOOGLE REVIEWS BEFORE CONSIDERING PURCHASING!

I run one of the largest hobby shops in Canada (Cloutsnchara Sports Cards) and recently got a shipment in (which took much longer than the service I paid for). It was missing 17 cards in the package which are approx worth $1500. Running a business I understand patience is important, it has now been 2 weeks without a single reply email on this. I understand these times are tough for many businesses but you have to reply in a timely matter and give your customers that respect.

Really dislike the fact you have to buy store credit before making a purchase. Its not even 1 for 1 on the dollar like purchasing a gift card or anything like that. On eBay you only have to pay tax when youre actually buying something. Comc makes you pay tax just by putting cash on their platform. Thought it would be like PayPal where theres a small fee for switching funds, but Comc looks at it as your making a purchase without actually receiving anything. I dont find it ethical and will not be using the platform as a buyer.

Never made a Google Review before since bashing a company is not really my thing. But heres my first.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Horribly overpriced and ridiculous shipping, ZERO communication, No working phone number, constantly delayed ship times, WRONG ORDERS, need i go on? Their catch-all system seems to be to email them and hope you get a response. Its ludicrous.Ive stopped using it, and Upper Deck e-pack because you have no other choice but to ship with these guys and theyre just terrible. Worst Company Ever!

The worst company! Do not submit your cards to them. DO NOT DO ANYTHING ! No communication whatsoever. I started emailing 42 days ago about my situation. 8 emails. 1 quick automated response. That’s it. I’m just asking for my cards back. Basically stole 75 cards from me. And as far as buying cards, terrible too. They take 4-6 weeks to ship you a card when you buy it. Please do not deal with them. I’m upset it made me give them 1 star in this review.

This used to be my go to place to buy and sell cards. They have gone so far downhill that they will have to earn my business back. I paid for RUSH shipping for thousands of dollars worth of cards that I’ve been purchasing over a two year period. Some of these are timing critical in order to cash in on hot prospects. They are not even close to getting these out safely, and in a timely manner. Now they don’t even have an option for toploaders. This is a very scary situation in an industry where cards are extremely condition sensitive. I hope they can right the ship. It is inexcusable that they are continuing to take orders without processing the backlog first. Be warned

Will often suggest offering partial or full refund, rather than just sending item?! Appear to be short staffed or just dont care. Do not waste your time or money. They will take your money and then never send you your order. They do not reply to emails until they are forced to buy eBay. They say they are trying to grow their business and other factors is why they wont ship your order. After being told to fix the problem by eBay and just ship your order. They just cancel your order. This company is a joke and a scam. Its not hard to take an invoice, pull the order, package it, and ship it. If you read their reviews on eBay and Google you will see that this is a repeating occurrence. Just dont do it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME HERE!!!That was my last time with COMC after many years as a customer. I made a shipping request 11/10/2020. I knew there will be some shipping delays because of Covid 19. Estimated ship date was 2/15/2021. Now it is 6/30/2021 and my cards are still in stock. I got an answer via email but after I wanted to get my money back (over 500 USD), they dont answer me. This company has always time to sell new cards on eBay, make some promotions on Facebook, they have Black Friday sales... BUT THEY DONT HAVE TIME TO SHIP YOUR ORDERS BUT THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!

I requested shipping 4 months ago last year, I knew it will be a slow process, but it wasnt mailed even until now. It is really sad, I have cards there for a couple of thousand $ and even some masterpieces. I was aware of the risk, that if something happens to the company I may never see my cards again, but I could not imagine that this will ever happen. But what they at least could do, is to inform their customers about whats going on. I mean they still have our property, it is not like there was a fire or something.

Shipment requests that I placed months ago still have not gone out (despite paying extra for rushed), and they have completely stopped responding to any emails (and dont bother trying to call them; the customer service line has been shutdown due to COVID or something).Im seriously concerned that they are going to just vanish one day and all of us users will be left out to dry.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My husband made a purchase of 29 baseball cards back in April. He received an email in April that it was going to be shipped out on May 6th. It is May 15th and he still hasn’t received anything. He tried calling COMC but they don’t have anyone answering phones at this time. He tried emailing them 4 times, and still hasn’t received an email back from COMC. It’s frustrating to spend money online, and not be able to get in contact with the company to find out where your package is.

Ordered Feb 20, 2021 and 4 times shortly thereafter. April 19th...not shipped yet. Told to wait or refund. On May 18th asked for a refund for all 5 of my unshipped orders - no response. Opened a Paypal dispute following 3 more emails with no response. Magically after opening a Paypal dispute all 5 orders shipped with tracking. Agree with other reviewers this place used to be awesome...now it appears theyre holding youre money to reinvest while keeping the product. Garbage. Terrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Will never buy from this company again. I’ve purchased well over $1,000 (maybe even much more) within the last year. If the customer has to email you and message you from their eBay website without a response for over three weeks and then tell you that they will be contacting the Federal Trade Commission for lack of non-compliance and gross negligence with your own policies, then it’s time for your company to get out of the business. Your insolence and lack of follow through with your customer service is why this problem is occurring.The sad thing is that COMC used to be a great company. However, until you have internal issues resolved, you’ll never have an upward swing. Customers is what makes any business. You just lost one of your more loyal individuals.

Absolutely terrible. Bought a high end super pricey soccer card from them off Ebay. Paid in full and patiently waited over 3 weeks for it to ship. Unfortunately for me it never did ship and I had to get Ebay involved. I did eventually receive a refund 4 weeks later. They used to be a solid company but now they rob Peter to pay Paul. I expect it wont be long before they close their doors permanently and I have a feeling lots of their clients who consign with them might lose everything. Ive seen it way to many times.

I would caution anyone from doing business with this company. They blatantly ignore any form of service despite being way outside the terms of their contracts. Worse, they will charge you fees without explanation. I suspect they may be shutting down or subject to a class action, it’s that bad. Get your cards out while you can and do not send them cards.

COMC has fallen off a cliff. You used to be able to call and speak to somebody and they would actually answer your emails. Now, you get a voicemail that says due to covid their people working at home cant answer phones. My order was placed in October and its now been 4+ months and I still dont have it and nobody answers my calls or emails. I would highly recommend using other card sites where they care about their customers.Update 3/16/21: I have sent 3 emails to customer “service” regarding my shipment which I placed in October 2020 and have yet to receive. All have gone unanswered. I have serious doubts about management’s competence and ethics. I have begun liquidating a lot of my inventory on their site and plan to withdrawal my money as soon as possible. I will also be filing a complaint w/ the WA State Consumer Protection Division and the BBB. Using covid as a continued excuse for their incompetence is beyond infuriating.

I had been buying cards from COMC from 2009 until very recently when I finally gave up. Prior to covid shipments were reasonably fast and the estimates provided were reasonably accurate. Since covid shipping estimates are off by months. This is still true a year later. Even if covid protocols slow down the shipping process, how can they not understand their bandwidth enough to provide reasonable estimates after a year?Trying to get accurate revised estimates regarding shipment dates is impossible. At this point I am worried I will never receive my cards.

I placed a card order about a month ago, and when it arrived a card was missing. They have ignored my e-mails. In the past if there were any little issues they would respond within 24 hours.A few years ago the site was a decent site for ordering lots of different types of cards, including obscure cards, from many different sellers. The shipping fees have gone up from $3 to $5 for a standard order - before the price gouging. Now theyre using the virus as an all-purpose excuse to jack up shipping (and ignore customers). Estimated shipping time has gone from 2-3 weeks to several months, meaning now you have to pay over $13 for rushed shipping if want the traditional standard shipping (as opposed to waiting months for your cards).The site used to be decent, but is now complete trash. I have hardly used their site the last couple of years, and will not be doing so anymore.

They were decent a couple years ago (not counting their poor poor website interface). Service fell off about 2 months BEFORE covid. They made apologies, then promises. They have yet to fulfill those promises. I have sent 10+ emails over 6 months inquiring about the issues and the resolution. Have NOT received ANY response. I would not recommend Selling your cards through COMC. There is no customer service phone number and we are now at 57 hours after sending an email with the header (URGENT). I feel so helpless and screwed over right now. Learn from my mistakes and do not sell through COMC. I will copy and paste what was said in the email.1) Multiple payout requests I made 4+ days ago to my paypal that have not been received.2) A card that was sold on auction that was not paid for sitting in limbo (86083420)3) Lastly you guys are falsely advertising your EBAY auctions by saying 1 week guaranteed processing. Dude COMC RECEIVED the package on 1/7/21 at 10:57 AM that means you will have it on ebay auctions by friday. I havent even gotten a confirmation that received the package. Going on a week of no response to numerous emails. I sent them over 100 cards to list and sell. The timeline came and went so I politely emailed them to return my cards on my dime. I still have not gotten a response and now they do not accept calls. A simple return email and dialogue as to what is going on is all that I am requesting. I would stay away from at this point with the pandemic as they seem to be extremely hard hit.

I’ve only had good experiences with COMC. Fast shipping, extra secure packaging and condition of the cards was exactly what I anticipated. So much better than spending $$$ on eBay with S/H charges or cracking open packs with cards I don’t want. Seriously, the best way to shop and sell cards on the net.

Customer service is non responsive without multiple attempts and usually rude when they do respond. Their timelines are not always met. It took over a month to get my last order. They lied to me and broke my heart by making me believe I had a chance here. I get it though, hire people from staffing agencies, so you can push and over work them. Pick up your slack, then get rid of them but before you do. Make them believe they have a chance at bettering their lives, working at a place where theyre accepted but little do we know. Were going to get let go as soon as theyre done using us. Its unfair. But thats life right? Even if its the workplace. You should still be honest with anyone you work with.

Great to work with, I say 4 and a half stars as there is always room for improvement. That being said two times I have had customer service concerns, and both times they answered the phone and both times they were taken card of to beyond my satisfaction. As well I have sold over $20,000 worth of cards on the sight and again with little trouble. They are tough on condition for submissions so keep this in mind especially if you are not an expert sending in junk collections from the 80s and 90s that thing you are going to get money, unfortunately you bought Enron stock and no one can help with that. I have been on COMC since 2017. I can think of a few things, playing armchair QB, Id change about them but some of the reviews I see on here are not necessarily fair. COMC is not like eBay it is different in many ways. COMC is great for finding personal collection items and resell items. I have personally bought over 1200 cards on here and have sold maybe 10 or so. Keep in mind I also sell at card shows so my first choice is to always ship out. Selling on COMC takes some time and practice but it can be done even if you arent one of their larger sellers which I see mentioned by some. The only thing I would change about them is to have a seller plan where you can have so many cards sent in and listed at a discounted rate with the plan putting the premise on the seller to provide product each month. Shipping rates on COMC are very reasonable you will literally save THOUSANDS of dollars in shipping cost buying on COMC. Its not eBay its COMC and I feel their business and practices deserve 5 stars. I have had 3 large shipments and everything has gone smoothly. Will continue to utilize their website and services for years to come.

I have listed approximately 1,000 cards on COMC, and they have been selling at a very reasonable pace, in most cases for a profit over what I paid for the cards at shows. Now, I do pay a lot in upfront fees, but I am more than happy to pay it for the exposure it gives my cards.

Horrible service. It takes them a week to respond to an email if they respond at all. It takes them more than a week to pay you when you withdraw money from selling your cards. Save time and headache and sell on ebay or to your local card store. It has been a MAJOR hassle dealing with this company. F- rating.

Love buying from these guys, $3 flat rate shipping is great! On my second order I made a mistake and put in an old address, called the next day and Customer service fixed the issue and my cards arrived to the right place shortly later. Shipping isnt super fast but still fast enough for me given the price and that my order always ships complete! Thanks COMC!

Ive been trying to contact COMC for the last three weeks without a response. I used their return process to send a damaged card back to them. They acknowledged the return and have failed to update me whatsoever afterwards. I have sent them daily emails asking for an update with nothing being sent back. Please fix your customer service. It needs to be much better than it currently is. I would be happy to revise this review.

COMC declined to research and identify (my) collectibles and evaluate their condition and value, as advertised on their website. I had sent about 4,000 cards to them, and I spot checked 50 of those before sending, from the different years/sets that I was shipping. Of that group, most were in the $0.30 to $0.50 range according to cards that were already listed on COMC, some valued less than that and some in the $1.00 to $4.00 range. However, as they advertised that they would do the work to value the collection, I did not check every single card. I was comfortable enough to ship, based on limited research, that my collection was worth enough to cover selling fees. My only goal was to break even and get rid of my collection. I wasnt looking to make much on this.My expectation was that they would do a more thorough valuation and advise me as to was worth posting, at least offering more assistance than they ended up offering. As a first time consignor with COMC, I was hoping that they would work with me and figure out what was worth pursuing and what could either be donated or returned. Instead, they very quickly shut me down, offering only to ship the cards back to me at my expense (I would like to note that I do not have an issue with having to pay for return shipping), or they would donate my collection locally. It was as if they took a quick glance at my shipment and decided they didnt want to be bothered with me. I recently lost my storage space and do not have time to sell these cards myself (the reason I attempted to use COMC in the first place), so I opted to have them donate my collection locally. I requested, however, that they send me proof that my collection was donated (a receipt, etc.), just so I could try to verify that they actually did what they said they would do, as opposed to say, selling my cards without my knowledge. I have received no response in the two weeks since, so I have no way of knowing what they actually did with my cards. Im very disappointed that what originally looked like a great option to use turned out to be such a poor one. I wish that they would have offered a detailed disclaimer beforehand, or perhaps a submission form where they would contact the customer first with some sort of quoting process before anything is shipped. Or, I would have been grateful even for a little bit of customer service.If I had had a good customer experience, I would have certainly recommended COMC to my card and comic-collecting friends. The only advice I have is to do all of your own research beforehand (disregard any advertising on their website and do NOT expect them to do any leg work) and opt to sell your collectibles on your own or perhaps only send a select few cards if youre having difficulty selling them and need additional exposure on a consignment site like COMC. Its a lot more work to do your own selling, but in the end it is really the only way to ensure you get what you want.

I am a 17,000 feedback experienced seller on EBAY. COMC has Slow shipping and dont try to sell here. They charge you to list and then charge a per card to get them back. They have a small amount of sellers who sell millions of cards and the little guy just cant make it as the price anyone else out of the market. I listed thousands of cards and tried to talk to them with no results there. Complete waste of time. USE EBAY!

As a seller he is horrible as he often cancels sales to buyers when he thinks he could have gotten a higher price... I guess for consigning a person might appreciate that but as a buyer on eBay it is infuriating to have Comc cancel orders then relist them for sale at a much higher price.

Make a good service,but: Often it takes much too long from receiving the card at COMC mailbox and booking to my personal account. (for a 2 USD fee per card could be faster)And I, and a lot of other collectors hate, that COMC removes EVERY card from the brand new one touch or screw down holders and put them into soft sleeve and a normal plastic holder. They also remove the very high valued PMG, Rubies, Autographics,... which are very sensitive at the corners and edges.But trustful company, make a good service. (COMC is market leader, and so no other trustful choice availeble...)

Garbage site, dont even know where to start... Customer service is nonexistent, charge listing fee, charge you monthly storage on your inventory (cards for sale) Charge you 20% fee to cash out on you sales. Oh and charge you a fee if you want your non sold cards shipped back (plus charge you shipping). Ebay is the way to go...
