No returns on an instrument we bought the same day and never used! Unbelievable. Extremely poor customer service. Avoid.
Very friendly and helpful staff here. Dont trust the other customer reviews here, a lot of them are either dumb and dont understand any of the in store policies, or there is a thick language barrier preventing them from comprehending anything the employees are actually saying. Seriously, have a look at all the bad reviews, theres tons of grammar errors! LOL
Sometimes they are service is very good, but have two times unhappy shopping experience.Once is I shopping at here, a young guy ask my name, phone number and address,I think I have clear speech,he still said what?what?with the mock。And I said I wrote down.he still laughing.The second time I wasnt find the book,I show her its from the same composer and told her what I want and ask her some questions .she answered me and wrote the address on the paper . she felt impatient and not happy maybe because I wasnt buy anything. she promised message me about the book and I never received any call.I ll never shopping at here again.
Ive been coming here for years (when it was still Mills Music) and have always appreciated the service they provide.This visit was no different. I was able to have my guitar set up by a clearly talented luthier who was able to fix a buzz that had developed with no issue or extra cost, and all at an extremely reasonable price.The gentleman who helped me out, Cameron, was very helpful and happy to chat with me for a while about guitars and informed me of upcoming deals the store will be having.I highly recommend this shop for anyone who cares about their instrument and wants quality service at a good value!

Dont rent instruments at this store! The company forced me to pay for the instrument which I have rented for a school year and returned promptly on 7/1/2019. The store at Redmond did not give me any receipt confirming the return and continued to charge my credit card. They forced me to pay the full price of the instrument.After reading similar reviews for this store I figured out that I am not the only one facing this problem - there are people complaining regarding same scamming - they have returned the instrument, but the company continues to withdraw money from their account.
I absolutely dont understand all the negative reviews on this store. The staff has been nothing but positive, helpful, and accommodating.The rentals are all reasonably priced, and all RENT TO OWN! I havent seen a music store that lets you make payments towards the eventual purchase of an instrument.This place deserves five stars. These other customers must be mistreating the staff.
Corporate Music Store - These low paid employees have no incentive to go out of there way, no excitement in what theyre doing and it shows.
Recently my son returned his rental and the store gave us a $100 credit toward purchasing a new instrument. We placed an order for a guitar which was canceled by the manufacturer. Because of this inconvenience, Ricky generously allowed us to find a more expensive one with the same price. During the whole process, the staff was also very nice and patient. They even offer free tuning. We are very pleased!

My daughters orchestra class required a specific book and it was out of stock at Amazon. I called Music & Arts to see if they had it. Not only did they find it for me, they saved it at the front desk, and told me how much they appreciated the business. They are now my first choice for various musical supplies. My daughter now takes lessons there once a week. Great service. Great for lessons as well.
Along the lines of other poor reviews this company (in store employees) has completely hosed the billing processing multiple times. Ive had to submit for 2 children renting instruments and yet still continue to get calls and snail mail from there corporate office saying the have not received payment (even though I signed up for auto withdrawal both times in the fall)
2 weeks ago I received an email from my daughter’s band teacher who was said that my daughter’s flute need go back shopping store to check the leaking. I visited Redmond store on my first time Feb 23rd and store college checked the history about the flute. We found this is the rent one not the new flute. My daughter rented the Yamaha 221 flute from Redmond store when she was in the 4th grade (3yers ago) and 1 years ago she bought it at Redmond store. I remembered we paid around $900.00. I also checked the Flute which is made in Indonesia 994821p not made in Japan and online price is around &600.00.Why we paid more and got the rent flute and also we didn’t get any warranty about the flute. I am asking to return or replace it .The store manager told me that she didn’t have right to make it but you can.So far we rent one month flute from Redmond store on Feb 23rd since my kid need play every day. I visited the store lots of times for the last 2 weeks and get zero support from store. The last visit was on this Monday since last Friday the Redmond store manger told me the district manager will available on this Monday. Even I visited 2 times on Monday but the district manger didn’t show yet. It was said that her houses power system get the damage . I was told they will leave massage for me on the weekend and will directly response the case. But I didn’t receive any information from the store.Now this is the third week ....
Dont rent instruments at this store! They are still withdrawing from our account for 1year and half. Eventhough we returned the instrument and purchased new instrument at this store. We called every day for refunds but, they rejected.Very stressful!!Please Inglewood band teachers, do not recommend this store to your students.
Went in, I had 15 minutes before I needed to be at a dinner date. Played a few guitars. Staff was great! Went back and bought a guitar.
Never Rent any student level music instrument in this shop. They screw up people very badly. I was victim of this.I rent a music instrument in Music and Arts 2 year ago, When I am renting the instrument, Shop manager told that you can use the rent credit for buying any instrument on returning the rented instrument.recently I went to return my instrument, they told like you r not eligible to use the rental credit on other instrument and u have to use it only on the instrument you buy. I got 400+ on rental credit, I asked for the same worth of any other instrument.they told like you have to buy the same instrument which is worth of 900+, I need to pay additional money, otherwise I forgo the money and walk away with empty hand. I lost all credit andThey lie on the rental credit at the time of purchase, when I am returning they told about terms and conditions apply on eligibility.I paid insurance also, once mouth piece broken, when I ask for replacement, they told it wont cover under the insurance. Its bad insurance.lady Manager was very worst manager i see in my life. I went to Music and Arts many times on returns issue(at least 4 or 5 times), they didnt process the returns well.First time I felt in my life i was cheated.Never ever go to this store, this is my strong recommendation.I am not sure why google not allow ZERO stars, I want to give ZERO or -5 Stars If i get a chance.
I went there two months ago at the start of the school year in September to rent a viola. They measured me, but did not have the correct size, and said they had a shipment coming in and the instrument would come in within the next week, that they would contact me when it came, so I gave them contact info. One month passed - no response. I went once again, they had the shipment but no instrument. They gave the managers number and said they would contact us again. Still no response. I called again and they still do not have it. -5 stars if possible.
Very rude staff especially one lady who doesnt know how to talk to customers.. Horrible service. They act like as if they are giving us free instruments.
