They are always so nice and the coffee is very good. I get their devil net which is a cold brew with whole milk and vanilla flavoring. Its extremely good. I highly recommend getting you coffee here.
We had a great experience; the coffee was delicious and the lady who took our order was very helpful and was super nice. She described all the specialty drinks we asked about and didnt seem bothered in the slightest. We then sat and enjoyed our coffee in a nice relaxing setting, with reclining chairs! That was a nice surprise.
Delicious hot white mocha. Friendly service. Masks still required (5/19/2021). No gelato at this location. Nice outdoor seating available.
Gelato was so good! Staff was also very courteous.
First time here, and it was a great experience. The gentleman behind the counter was helpful and friendly. Ill definitely be back!
Great service. And Definitely make a mean cappuccino.
$6 coffee and no WiFi.... Even the majority of coffee places in second world countries have WiFi. Get with the times Bibo (unless youre trying to be ultra hipster and disallow any tech at all, you should only accept cash in coins then ;)Coffee is good, ambiance is nice, but with no internet.. Ill be going back to Starbucks
Ordered a small white mocha for over $5 and it was okay but the customer service was pretty bad. We were the only customers and the barista didnt say hi, just stood at the counter and stared at us until we ordered. No prices listed anywhere either. Then didn’t tell us when she was done making the drink, just put it at the counter getting cold. Made us feel very unwelcome. Then a homeless guy walked up and she said hi to him and gave him a free cup of coffee. Should probably hire more friendly people being a coffee shop.
First I wanted to say that I dont like posting negative reviews. I would rather give my feedback directly to the establishment, but when I went on the website, I couldnt find any way to contact them. I just tried Bibo Coffee Company for the first time based on a recommendation for a friend who swears by it. Sadly I wont be back. There wasnt anything wrong with the coffees and lattes I ordered; they were just fine, nothing that I would go out of my way for, especially since there are so many other choices. The real issue was the girl that was working there. She seemed like she hated her job. She seemed miserable. I felt like I was inconveniencing her, just by placing an order. There was no smile. She actually seemed medicated and kind of out of it, but I could be totally off base. I asked if she was okay and her response was Well the world is ending, so.....Ive only been in Reno for about a year and half and everyone I have come in contact with has been wonderful! This is the first time Ive come across someone in hospitality that Ive felt shouldnt be in it. Im guessing that Bibo wouldnt appreciate someone with that disposition, representing their company and as I mentioned, I would have liked to have contacted them directly, but was unable to find an email. Sorry for the long review and I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.
Nice cozy coffee and tea shop. Table and chairs or comfy sofa and overstuffed chairs to relax in and enjoy your coffee or tea. Friendly, knowledgeable staff happy to assist you in your selections. Drinks made to perfection. Fresh snacks are available.
S. Reno location the place was super nice, fun looking. All tables were taken that Sunday 9am. The staff (not sure...) they were all in front of me (4 of them). I was waiting for my coffee in front of the espresso machine. They were talking to each other but looking at my direction. I was kinda confused haha. Anyways, the coffee didnt impressed me. But its not bad.
The staff was really nice and accommodating. And the coffee was good too. My only complaint is that the music was too loud for my taste.
Theres really nothing special about this coffee place. The coffee tastes bland, the closest I can compare it to is cheap homemade coffee, and its expensive for what it actually is. The decor is nice but after a while it starts feeling empty. The staff is friendly but if you ask them for a recommendation they dont really recommend anything.
Nice seating area and relaxed vibe. Vanilla latte was great! Plain latte was ok. Would go again.
What can I say? I love Bibo. They roast their own beans. Hands down the best cappuccino in town. If you are going for gelato I highly recommend bourbon cherry. They are very generous with their servings as well. They dont have wifi though, so be ready for that.
Very friendly staff. Always feel very welcomed! The mudslide is my favorite. Definitely recommend, only 4 stars because its not incredible coffee for the price.
Bibo at Foothill. Great location with great potential and I wish I could stay as upbeat about the cafe itself. Terribly friendly but clueless staff with nothing that would resemble love for the craft of coffee. No matter what hour of the day, the working area around the machine and the two grinders remains permanently messy with tools lying in disarray, not to mention layers of old ground coffee covering the surface. Yes, one can obsess excessively over clean counters but that’s hardly what truly matters. I could forgive all this if the coffee is of exceptional quality but I’m afraid that is not the case. Irrespective of the roast, the shots are consistently bitter, absolutely lacking tonal textures of individual blends. Customers with preference for milk-based espresso beverages would likely not notice any of this but those who find pleasure in appreciation of the craft, seek consistent stimulation and perhaps a bit of coffee escapism need to look elsewhere. Bibo (at Foothill) is yet another mediocre and uninspiring coffee joint disguised as artisan pit stop that leaves you with nothing more than bitterness.
Bibos is always a nice place for coffee. This one south of town is in a great location.
I love this coffee shop. It is unique, friendly and has good coffee. The environment is comfortable. As my work, Five Hearts Preschool, is located just down the street, I go to Bibo to unwind or rewind after a busy preschool morning.
I have been supporting Bibo for a long time. This location has become a basic, average coffee place with a staff that seems like they don’t want to be there. The coffee is not anything special and they have replaced their previous selection of fresh baked goods with pastries from a grocery store. Bibo has always had the policy of not having wifi to encourage community interaction, that’s cool. But I was really put off by the loud, local commercial radio station playing and the young “dudes” behind the counter that were overly nice to all the cute women and barely could form a whole sentence or look me in the eye while helping me. Steady decline, noticeable each time I come back.
I love popping in here for an iced latte or a devils net with chai sugar. I love the cold brew on tap! The white chocolate raspberry scone is my go to, and if I have extra time I get a toasted bagel. There is not usually a long line and I can be in and out in 5-10 minutes and on my way to work. The homemade gelatos are rotating and so tasty.
It was good. I like the location and the staff were nice and helpful. The coffee was nothing remarkable but then I only had a standard coffee this day. They also sell and make their own Gelato in original flavors. The counter person explained they had coffee drinks that used Gelato in them, now that sounds like what I will try on my next visit.
Good coffee and good staff. Accidentally left a personal item there last week and they had it stored for safe keeping when I checked for it today. Thanks!
Great coffee. No seating at this time.
This place is not good. It isnt even average. I feel like Reno has so many coffee shops that are actually pretty great but this place is just trying to lower our standards. The gelato is fine but if you like..... You know..... Want some coffee you should just stay home and be disappointed by that instead.
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had the chai latte, would like it to be a bit creamier but pretty good.
Used to be a big fan but now the experience has become ordinary at best. As more decent coffee shops have come to Reno, Bibo here needs to up their game. Comfortable seats are simply not comfortable and they’re not clean!!! Staff are not as cheery when greeting customers as they could be. Coffee is tolerable (better than Starbucks - not difficult - but lacking any depth or richness of flavor), although missing Barista art on my latte. Tea was fine. As the only coffee shop other than McDonalds, Starbucks and Raley’s south of Pianissimo, it has the market to itself - for now! Please up your game, replace those chairs and be more welcoming!
First time here and happy to say I will be coming back. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, plus the gentleman who took my order helped me find something new since I was over my normal vanilla chai. Thank you Bibo Coffee Company looking forward to my new visit.
Great service and atmosphere. Pretty fast even when busy. One of the best dirty chai lattes in town!
Tried Ice Carmel coffee. Pretty good. Ask how you want the drink, they will make it.
We are from Seattle and on our trip we were so delighted and impressed to find such an amazing cup of coffee! We will be back! 😀
Best coffee in town with the friendliest staff
I very rarely leave bad reviews, but when the mediocrity is as consistent as it is at Bibo on Foothill something needs to be said.I can deal with crappy, unfriendly service for a good cup of coffee. Unfortunately Bibo cannot even offer that. This location could be so great, but it is in desperate need of an overhaul. This morning was my last not being greeted, not having my frequent visitor card stamped, and waiting for a latte feeling utterly invisible in a very quiet, slow environment with $5+ out of my pocket (tip grudgingly included) and a subpar beverage to show for it. I could have had the same or better experience at McDonalds. From now on Ill take the extra couple miles north to Human Bean.Get your act together, Bibo! Take some pride in your work and in being local or make way for quality business like Hub and Coffeebar that do. Oh wait, you already have...
Best coffee Ive found south, in a tough town for a good coffee. The staff is a non sequitur for the location. They will neither brighten your day or leave you with the impression they clean past using the same wet rag all day.
Best Coffee in Reno!
Love Bibo, they have great coffee and pastries. They also make the best gelato. The employees are always so nice.
Great coffee! Great people! And a nice quiet relaxing place to be on a Sunday afternoon in summer.
Its a coffee joint that was out of 2 canisters of fresh coffee. Hhhmmmm
Got a breve latte and a chai latte. The other reviews arent wrong: the chai is otherworldly. Its like drinking a chai-spiced cloud. I also got that as a breve because Im indulgent; 6/5 would recommend. The regular latte was also delicious but a bit strong/a tad bitter for my taste. The manfriend loved the latte though and he prefers dark roasts so its probably just me.
My children and I were trying rolled ice cream for the first time, it was cold in the ice cream place so went outside to some tables to enjoy the weather. I checked to make sure the coffee shop next door was closed and it was. The owner was unlocking the door to bring his lady friend inside and as he unlocked the door started I hate white people! I guess he didnt like that we were at his tables that seemed to be for the public. I took a picture of his door to remember the company name (Bibo Coffee Company) and he walked out and asked if he could help me and I said I was writing a review that the owner is racist. His little lady friend flipped off my 14 year old daughter to show how business like they are.
Bibo is the best Reno coffee house with multiple locations. They make their own Gelato and it’s so good, should be regulated!
Great spot too meet and speak to people everyone is respectable.
South Reno needs a good coffee spot and this is not it. Average quality coffee and average quality staff. I hate to say it but Starbucks is a better option if you are on the south side of town.
My primary reason for frequenting Bibos shops is the organic coffee and milk. They also have a limited variety of delicious pastries, etc. Theyre not inexpensive but they are convenient. My first choice would be Waldens, however they are not nearby.
Hands down the best coffee youve ever had!!
Great place to meet with friends and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is great!
Great coffee! My drink was perfect, not over sweetened!
This place has really come back. Hadnt been in a few years but the new locations have found their groove, they roast some of their own beans, and have stepped up the gelato.
I love coming to Bibos! Mellow place, nice people, good coffee. Need I say more?
Good Coffee, no internet. I asked them why and they said they were trying to encourage conversations.
Always great coffee. Does not need sugar. Gelato is good too
Coffee tasted great but really...no wifi? Shocking really. Friendly staff, nice music, but dont bring your wifi only devices.
Good place to hang out and get exceptional coffee.
Phenomenal lattes and cold brew, I made my own and it was delicious from their recommendation
Bibos is a great locally owned coffee shop. Wonderful atmosphere with flavorful coffee from small roasters and welcoming staff.
The coffee is good and environment is pretty good. The problems are seating is minimal, which I can work with, but there isnt any Wifi. I have actively decided to go somewhere else because I didnt want to use my phones Mobile Hotspot feature and thus use my entire months worth of data in one sitting.
One of only a few places in Reno to do a pourover. Great coffee
Great coffee adorable environment. Everything is good!
My sons fav.Great coffee!
The cafe looks different, but the staff and the drinks they make are just as great as the downtown locations. Buy your coffee (or Vanilla Chai Latte) here and you wont be disappointed !
I like my coffee shops simple, and relish the fact theres no wi-fi here -- keeps me actually busy if i come to read or draw or work on something.
Great coffee! Fast service!
Great meeting location...good service...good coffee. Just wish they would clean the windows every once in awhile.
Great place to hang out and enjoy a tea or other beverage.
Excellent place..love the coffee...very smooth
Great coffe. Quiet and not crowded
Excellent coffee, good service small seating is lacking.
Good coffee and service, but no Wi-Fi. Its 2017 btw
The coffee is excellent. They nail it every time. Im in at least twice per week and many of the regular staff remember my order.Im only giving 4 stars because theres no wifi. Thats usually not a big deal in most places because I can run my phone as a hot spot, but the building seems to be in a dead zone and I can barely get phone/internet service. Ive had to step outside to use internet on my phone and make phone calls.
Great place to have a good cup of coffee, chai, Americano or cappuccino. Nice clean atmosphere, really great staff and plenty of tables. For those complaining about the no wifi thing, your $2.00 cup of coffee for a group of 4 doesnt justify using this place as your personal office to meet with your clients. Im looking at you realtors and life insurance salespeople.Go to Starbucks or get an office if you need wifi. Otherwise, sit, read, drink and socialize.
They have really good flavorings for lattes.
Great coffee, better value than Starbucks.
Bibo makes the best café mochas in Truckee Meadows by skilled and friendly baristi, and its a comfortable place to hang out. They have a constantly changing selection of house-made gelato, as well as locally sourced food and snacks like quiche and coffee cake, all of which I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Good coffee butt when I went, midday on a Sunday Sunday, they had no food. Like stepping out of a time matchine into 1990 you wont find any internet access here.
Love the Malabar with heavy cream!
Good food, good coffee, not very spacious and not many places to sit. Also no wifi. Would rather go elsewhere.
Always a favorite, dirty chi latte, gelato, or just straight coffee
Excellent employees and wonderful coffee!
Bibo is my fav local coffee spot. The South Reno location is the largest (its still cozy) and makes a great meeting spot. The Caramella is super yummy, although I recommend getting it without whip-too sweet. They get their bagels from Truckee Bagel Co so you cant go wrong there. The Jalapeno or the Cranberry are fantastic. The staff is always friendly although a little more so at the Sierra St. location.OH! The gelato is homemade and absolutely amazing. If you get the chance try a gelato ice cream sandwich. The owners own creation consisting of a panini maker, hawaiin bread, gelato, and chocolate syrup. Amazing.
Great espresso, music and atmosphere.
Lovely place to stay for a cup of coffee.
Good coffee at a reasonable price
Nice place to hang out and sip a coffee
Love this little place😊
Great local coffee spot.
Great latte in a relax coffee shop.
Great local friendly coffee hub
Friendly staff and good coffee!
Best pumpkin latte ever.
I was standing there, no help. Im the only customer 3:45 pm
What a nice coffee location!
I love the place!!! Amazing coffee!
Good coffee and service
Great little place.
Great coffee and gelato
Wish they had not raised their rates.
Consistently enjoyable coffee.
Okay latte, but no WiFi
