The dictator in the back not wearing a mask properly as she is telling me to wear a mask is the insanity this has all come to! My lawyer will be in contact for denying me my medication because I choose to exercise my freedom of choice. It would be different if she had her mask on and not on her chin! Also, the vax station had an over flowing trash can with open and used alcohol wipes and band aid wrappers all over the floor! Sanitary right? For your health, right? Avoid this place at all cost and all CVS stores for that matter, everyone of them is filled with ego driven folks that have no compassion for peoples actual health.

Closed pharmacy in the middle of the day without a backup plan. I need an antibiotic immediately. My doctor submitted the prescription in a timely manner. When we called to find out when it would be ready (1:20 PM), we received a message the pharmacy was closed until the next day. When we finally reached a person on the phone in the store, we learned the pharmacist had to leave for a medical emergency. The front desk person had no way of knowing if the prescription had been received. We were told to call another CVS pharmacy. After waiting >30 minutes, we hung up. Obviously emergencies happen, but it is TOTALLY unaccpetable for a key health provider to not to have a backup plan. I will pull all my prescriptions from CVS local pharmacies and urge others to do the same.We had the prescription transferred to a real pharmacy at Safeway on Steamboat. It turns out that while CVS couldnt fill the prescription, they still charged our insurance. Thus, when we pickup the prescription at Safeway, we had to pay cash, since the medication had already been charged to our insurance. Obviously, CVS cares more about collecting money than providing timely delivery of essential medications to their customers.

Slowest full service pharmacy in Reno that I’ve utilized. Waited 30 mins for medicine. This was the second attempt at stopping at this location.Took 45 minutes. I saw a pigeon hatch a egg while waiting for my medicine. 😂Do better CVS😡!

Nice location! However can you please update your pharmacy hours on the Google page?...Currently has open until 8pm when I believe it closes earlier. However, this could be just a particular day.

I had to wait forever to get my 2nd vaccination. They were so busy they should really hire more people! All reviews are the same bad!!! Get it right CVS Corp. This situation needs to get addressed. Im so thankful I live on the other side of town.... I would hate to have to come here for my medicine!

Incompetent PharmacyOne would hope a pharmacy knows how to process insurance for prescriptions. If not being ripped off financially due to incompetence is important than this is not the location for you.After calling to show their issue the very next day they said their policy is too bad, they will not fix their error.

Dealt with them for years now and all they seem to do is hire RUDE, Inefficient pharmacists, and when your own pharmacist does not wear his mask.. enough said. I cannot believe CVS keeps the same people in this location. Pharmacist could not be any more rude, by phone and in person, and of course he was not even wearing his mask... which tells you a lot. Looking to move all my prescriptions this week..

This wasnt Simone but the girl at the counter with her. She immediately said when I walked up to the checkout counter were there wasnt a sign up stating next window. Said she will help you pointing to Simone who only had one person in her line that she was helping. Turned her back to me and was so rude.. i will go too my CVS but will NOT visit this store again.

Slower than a sloth!Do not pick up your perscriptions here!!! Took 45+ minutes last time. I left to drop off my screaming baby (hence why I use the drive through....) took around 15 minutes and came back and the line did not move. Decided to go inside instead. They also failed to inform me I had two perscriptions ready just 3 days ago so I’m back for the second. I’ve been sitting here for an hour and ten minutes already. They have finished with only one customer in that time. There are still 4 cars ahead of me. Complete BS!!! Have a separate place to test people so others can pick up their perscriptions.It takes less than ten minutes for a test elsewhere, but takes CVS an hour for one?!?!?!!!!!

I frequently get my childrens prescriptions filled at this CVS location. Beware of them using brand-name products even when you request generics. Today they tried to do this by filling a basic antibiotic prescription with a $130 name-brand product. My insurance barely covers prescriptions unless they are generic. I had to go to a different pharmacy to get the lower priced generic for $20.

The only reason I use this place on Steamboat is because of location and the discounts I can get using their Extra Care card. Now, without notification to their customers, they have replaced this program with a paying membership. I couldn’t agree more about the arrogance, lack of customer service orientation, and general absence of caring of the pharmacists at this location. So, CVS, thanks for the poor treatment of your loyal customers. I will drive out of my way to avoid you now. Hello Walgreens!

The pharmacy here is THE WORST. The service is horribly slow, the drive through window for the pharmacy is open sporadically and some days closes without reason at random times.For example on 5/2/19 we pulled into a 3 car deep line at the pharmacy drive through. After waiting about 15 minutes the car at the window drives away and the window is closed for the day.Yep.Screw off people waiting in line.We cant be bothered to help.Close the doors. Retrain the staff. Get new management.Horrible.

Staff is nice, overall. Wait times are pretty long most of the time.But the worst thing is that they CVS has declared they will not provide hypodermic needles without a prescription - and Nevada State Law permits the sale of syringes without a prescription. We needed this medical equipment for a prescription at a different pharmacy that was out of state. CVS is not a compounding pharmacy, so clearly we could not have the prescription with them. We ran low and needed some to tide us over.This draconian, irrational policy runs counter to the letter and intent of Nevada State Law. We went to another pharmacy who was happy to help us out (Walmart).It is really obnoxious that these pharmacists make arbitrary decisions about our health that are none of their business. They are not doctors and they should not be deciding which patients are allowed access to the medical equipment they need.

I would give a zero if there’s an option for that.I called 2 days ago to refill my mom’s prescription at the CVS on Steamboat Pkwy and was busy until today to pick up for her. You would think the prescription should be ready 2 days later right, but it’s not.We were there this morning to pick up and was advised that it’s not ready. I questioned the girl and was told that they’re 2 days behind. ???They don’t seem to care about their customers. I came to this location due to the great feedbacks but after this experience today, their 5 stars on yelp are questionable.

I have had a very poor experience with the pharmacists at this CVS location. I was trying to pick up a prescription before leaving town for the holidays and one pharmacist had a very short temper and was extremely rude to me. She was angry that I came in to the store without receiving the text that my prescription was ready first. Since I spoke to the same pharmacist on the phone prior to coming to the store and she said it would be ready shortly, I assumed that it would be okay to stop by on my way home. Rather than explaining I had to still wait for a text, she acted very unprofessional and cut me off mid-sentence and expressed her frustration with my misunderstanding. Since I still have not received the text to pick-up and it’s now the following day (today), I called to see what was going on with the process of my prescription. A male pharmacist answered this time and once I explained the situation, he hung up on me. When I called back, the same female pharmacist who was initially “assisting” me answered and immediately knew who I was and rudely said that the male pharmacist could not hear me (I assume this is her excuse for him hanging up) and that my perscription still needs to be ordered. This whole time, that information has never been made clear to me. So, I am still waiting on my perscription and I leave town tomorrow. Unfortunately I will not have it for the holidays. I hope no one else has the same experience that I have had at the CVS on Steamboat.

I am so upset with this pharmacy that I called a different CVS to fill my prescription, and I actually got service. I called on Wed to fill an important prescription that I need this Sunday, it always has to be special ordered, thats why I called it in early, most pharmacies take 1 day, 2 max to get it in. They had me on hold for 25 min, I waited because it cannot be generic so I thought I had to fill it by talking to them, because when I transferred it to them, the woman told me she cannot put that note in, turned out she had put the note in and I didnt need to be on hold for 25 min. Then today I call to make sure its ready, the system said it was still being filled, so now I need to talk to them to see if it will be ready tomorrow. I wait on hold for 15 min, someone answered, started dialing, and hung up on me. I called back being fine if I still had to hold, but I didnt want to lose my place from their mistake. They answered and I tried so hard to get them to just listen to me but they just threw me back on hold and I will never use them again. Since my prescription isnt there anyways, I called a different one, she answered right away and didnt need to put me on hold. My prescription is now being sent there. I understand being busy, I also understand pharmacy phone calls can last longer than the average customer service, but this place left a bad enough taste that I will not use them again.

Always having issues with this CVS. From 45+ minute waits for a flu shot to messed up prescriptions Ive had a lot of annoying problems with their pharmacy. I havent switched because its so close to my work but I probably will soon, Ive given them 2 years. Today I came in to get my prescription and the line was way down the isle. I know how slow they move so I just left. Im just over it. Get it together!

Update 2021: Not sure whats been going on but the drive thru has been a nightmare the last few months. Cars sit at the window for 30+ minutes sometimes. Ive switched to having them mail my meds because I dont have all day to waste!Previously 2018: While they do get slammed and busy here like any Pharmacy, the staff here are super friendly, polite, and do their best to catch up when theres a hiccup during the day. They can often fill a prescription before I even leave the Drs office! Theyre seriously that good.

This location is severely understaffed! Every time I go to pick up a prescription there is a long line waiting. If you try to call in a refill or want to talk to a staff member there are 9 people ahead of you. Horrible business plan. I will be looking for another pharmacy.

I live nearby so I really want to use this pharmacy, but out of my three attempts they managed to mess up on every single one of them. I have even had to have doctors call and they still messed it up. This has to be the worst pharmacy around.
