The helpful welcoming staff in this store are the best! Their stock selection is amazing...I have not walked out yet without exactly what I was looking for.Then there is location. Love this place. Best ace in town, theyve always got what i need and they always have a smile.Ive gone here many-a-time but my most recent experience was to copy some chip keys for my vehicle. Not only did they cut the keys right the first time they did it quick and programming went super smooth as well.

The size of this store is great when you need to get in and out quick. They dont always have exactly what you need, nor is there a huge variety. A side from that, the place has a easy layout. The vibe is that of a anywhere in America family store. The mix of O.G.s and high school boys that work there always make me smile.

Cashier was pleasant and helpful. Selection was good. Prices were through the roof. I paid $50 for a screwdriver, pliers, a hex set and an ope ended adjustable wrench. Yikes!

Never have anything in stock, even tho I check online through Google product search thingy for the store. This particular place had underwhelmed me 3 times in the last 2 months, each time they didnt have whatever it is I was looking for. Whats the point of having an online presence, or a product search if it perpetually is wrong. This store is in an obscure location, s Virginia Street is way past its prime and usefulness. Go to Home depot, or LowesPlus I feel like Im bothering them when I want to ask a question. Not a very friendly vibe.

A great little hardware store. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a nice selection in a small space. It was nice to not spend hours looking through endless aisles when I knew just what I needed. They even do special orders.

We needed 3 things to complete installation of our air conditioner, and we found all 3 items with no problem. Very helpful and knowledgeable crew. We even found the perfect clock there! They have always had everything weve needed. Customers for life.

So happy theres still a local Ace Hardware in Reno. Great customer service on both of our recent visits and their prices are considerably cheaper than the huge big-box DIY stores. Conveniently located near downtown and usually lots of parking available.

Went to buy cam locks, marked with wrong price. Bought what they had and left information for a courtesy call when they got more in stock and that never came whatever I just went back in a week later. Went to buy packaging tape, none had prices on them except one, which was the wrong price when I checked at register. Had no problem returning items here with reciept. If you need it now they probably got it but it is pricey

A great place to find bolts and nuts. Excellent selections and super friendly staff. We were missing one bolt nut for a furniture. At home depot we would have to purchase a set of 4 pieces, three of them will be a waste. We were able to buy one single piece at the place for under a dollar. Will definitely go there again for other hardware supplies.

This place is bigger than it looks! Also they had exactly what i needed and the customer service is top notch. I went in there looking for drywall anchors and it took me forever to find what i needed. Finally asked for help and a young gentleman who was working the counter came down and in 1 min flat he found what i was looking for. Ill definitely hit this place up again plus its super close to where i live. Home Depot and Lowes should take notes from this place.

Im a pretty tough critic of retail establishments, but I really love this place (as I do all Ace Hardware stores). You walk in, and youre almost immediately greeted. Went in there a few weeks back needing a specific sized bolt, spacer, and washer (I didnt know the size, but had an example for them). They took me downstairs and found all the items within probably 2 minutes. On my own, this likely would have taken me an hour.Last week I stopped by trying to get a copy of a motorcycle key. They told me that they didnt have the blank for my bike (Understandable) and recommended I buy one online and bring it in. Today I did just that, and Joe (who helped me last time and this time) cut the key for me. He even came outside with me to my motorcycle to ensure that the key worked well.I dont think Ive ever had to wait more than 60 seconds for someone to greet me and ask me what Im looking for. Im happy businesses like this still exist, and Ill be giving them as much of my business as possible. I wish that more businesses operated this way.

You dont get the big selection the big boxes offer but you will find a friendly and helpful staff. On the other hand, they may have the best selection of fasteners (nuts, bolts, pins, etc) in town. This is where youll that exotic bolt you havent been able to find anywhere else

At the tail end of installing a new kitchen faucet my husband and I hit a snag with the cold water hose connector. I headed to Ace Hardware with the old hose and the new connector. A young (relative to me, lol) assisted me. As I explained my plumbing dilemma he listened then asked a few questions to clarify then off to the pluming aisle we went. I love that not only was he helpful he never talked down to me. In the end he found what would resolve my issue. Problem solved, faucet installed!

Probably the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered in a hardware store. My daughters baby stroller got a flat tire en route to the store and they helped patch the inner tube and pump the tire back up! Also generally helpful finding merchandise. Great store!

Maurice, who goes by Mo, is the store manager and a very cool person who knows many of his customers by name. The first ace I’ve ever been to where the staff just ignored me. They were chatting with each other when we walked in, and just ignored us when we walked right past them. Then when we asked a question he was completely disinterested and just said, “I dont know try back there”....thought maybe it was a fluke but we went back again and received the same horrible service. Weve always known ace hardware to have the most helpful staff no matter which one you go to, but definitely not this one! So disappointed

Whether you need just one bolt, or a Big Green Egg, this is the best. I always come here first before the big blue or big orange, because as soon as you get in the door someone asks you what you need and directs you straight to it. Ace is in fact, the helpful place.

As with most Ace Hardware Stores, this store has everything a wonderful selection of screws and nuts and bolts and any sort of hardware youre looking for. The staff is very helpful and usually does all the work while I shop. The only difficulty is location being on South Virginia in the Midtown area makes it a little bit hard to get in and out quickly. But when I need Hardware particularly specialty items I go to the store for sure cant be beat. No comparison to Home Depot the selection here is by far superior.

I needed a Craftsman wrench, so I dropped into Aces Hardware Store. I found the wrench I was looking for and the cashier looked at a screw that I was trying to find another one just like it. He told me where to find a screw only to find out that he was able to tell the size and the length of the screw just by looking at it. I didnt get his name, but that was some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time from a hardware store. I did return later on that day and bought a few more items that I did not need but was able to use. If you like the old hardware store vibe, this is the place for you. I did find things that I dont see in the other hardware stores the big chains.To the cashier, thank you for your service and keep up the great job that I bet you do daily. Thank you!

I like going to a hardware store that actually has hardware for a change. Each time I have come here, they had exactly what I needed. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store itself is two floors of pure get it done stuff.

If you want them to hold your hand and take you where your item is then this is not the store for you. But if you want a quaint store with just about anything you need and a great location then this your store. AND it was a little unsettling to see the guys working there wearing guns in their holsters. What the heck is up with that?

I went to get new door knobs, aluminium tape, spray paint, velcro strip, and packing tape. They had everything on the list at very reasonable prices. This is a very old school store which reminded me of when I was a kid. The have a upstairs and downstairs. Very quiet and calm. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
