Seems like a good place to purchase different styles of bikes. HOWEVER, I went in to buy a BIG RIPPER bike, which they have in stock. When I tried to purchase the bike, they said they had to add 50$ for shipping to the price. That IS NOT STATED ON THEIR WEBSITE! I love supporting local businesses, but I do not like being taken advantage of. I understand ( AS I OWN 2 BUSINESSES ) that the pandemic has hurt many businesses, but that is no excuse for everyone to try to add costs to their merchandise. There should never be hidden fees when dealing with a reputable company. They allowed an 800$ sale walk out the door behind 50$. The price of the bike is clearly advertised on its website for 749.99$... UPDATE: bought the bike and had a pretty good experience here. The OWNER seemed really cool. Glad I gave them a second chance. I love my bike!!

Went to have daughters brakes done. I said it needed all 4 and expected to pay for that. Only did front because rear didn’t need it. They could of lied and I would have never known.Went back to buy stem and have carbon handlebars installed. Quick and efficient. Everyone is very friendly. These guys love bikes.Store has excellent selection and prices are as good or better than the internet. I will not do business anywhere else. You will have a very difficult time finding better service prices.Give them a try and I’m confident it will become the only place you want to spend your money!

My new go to bike shop. Great service and quality at a reasonable price. Same day break service/adjustment for $15. If youve ever tried to install brakes on a new kids bike and have them grip properly then youll understand this is a good deal.

Got a bike for commuting, 555 miles later it still looks new. Saving gas, staying active, coming back to this shop for tune-ups and gear! Shop local!

Came in here seeking service for a bike and the customer service was horrible. As I tried confirming the quote with the prices on the website, the attendant was pretty much kicking me out.Also, a $75 fee for a basic tuneup doesnt really justify the 2 week delay. You can get a timely, quality service at Trek/REI, without the punk attitude.

I had them put together a bike for me that I bought online. They did a very bad job. I had to bring it back for them to line up the fenders properly and I asked to speak with a manager about the poor service. The teenage boys that didn’t put my bike correctly told me the manager didn’t have time to speak with me.They also didn’t fill up the tires with air. If you’re paying to have a bike put together they should fill the tires with air as well. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this until I got home the 2nd time from taking it to their shop. I can’t recommend this business because of the poor service and rude staff.

These folks are awesome and very knowledgeable. The staff took time to explain various bike options to me. I was looking for a Giant and they recommended a similar price ranged Norco that I am beyond happy with. Kyle had my new bike made in a hour and was beyond helpful. Highly recommend this shop!

Won’t recommend this shop anymore for their clueless quote. I had serviced my bikes in this shop till last year and suddenly this year, somebody named (Kai) was too pompous to quote unreasonable amount ($115) for gear/break tune up later reduced to $45 for just gear tune up. Didn’t have any regards for schedule when asked about delivery. Won’t go back if possible.Update: Once I reached back my home with my bikes, I got to know that one of bikes front brake screw is missing, might be accidental, but at least they should have checked before returning itI hope they will rectify their mistakes soon, used to like this place.

They stole Parts off my bike after I purchased a brand new cogs I left with a used cassette. Wouldnt trust this place its run by children. When I asked for a manger they said they were all managers. THEY STOLE PARTS OFF OFF MY BIKE AND REPLACED MY BRAND NEW GEARS WITH USED. HORRIBLE PLACE TO LEAVE A BIKE.

Got bike back, rear wheel and motor are loose now and they said they cant fix it, bike stopped working soon after getting it back. Be careful taking your bike here. Also, in before the owner trys to say its fake, since it seems to be a common occurence on other complaints.

Low pressure bike shop with happy, friendly employees. They specialize in mountain and BMX, on top of being a regular bike shop. I bought a commuter bike here 5 years ago and I go back regularly to purchase parts or get maintenance done. I think the same techs have been working there this whole time which is a good sign. Ive always thought thier parts were reasonably priced and their service is a better value than usual.

I always enjoy coming to GHY Bikes. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They’re always down to chat bikes, give a recommendation, or help with a problem. GHY is one of a few bike shops in the area that don’t talk down to me because I’m a girl (unfortunately a LOT of local shops do that). It’s always a wonderful feeling knowing I can walk into the shop and get the same level of customer service as everyone else.

As soon as I walked in all 3 of the guys greeted me and were helpful from the start. One guy helped me in particular and got me a helmet and gloves after patiently listening to my needs and even suggested a mountain bike park to try out and I did just that. I would definitely go back.

Always a great stop! The people are really down to earth, and have a great deal of knowledge. They carry parts for all kinds of bikes. BMX, mountain, downhill, street and all of the apparel to go with each. They sponsor several teams in the area, and love to give back to the community. Great store, locally owned.

I took my bike two month before riding the RSVP(185 miles), a teenager fixed it and when I took it for a 30 miles ride the brakes weren’t working as they should, he left the metal wires too long that scratched my legs and the gears were making very loud noises. I took it back and another person was able to fix it. Then I took it for another ride and the gears were not changing very well, so I took it back again and they said it got fixed. When I took it for a bike ride, the gears were not changing from the middle gear plate to the bigger plate so I couldn’t use the bigger plate on the 185 miles I rode this weekend. I am definitely not coming back to this place.

These guys are awesome. So glad to have them near work. As a year round commuter I appreciated them fixing my rear shifter cable on the spot. It was going to be a hard ride home.

The best experience I have ever had. First of all, the bike selection is primo. Great quality with great prices on every type of bike. Here is where the experience becomes the best. I bought a transition mountain bike, the next day I popped my tire on my way to work. I called them up and asked them if they could come fix it, with no hesitation they drove down to my work with a tube and fixed it for free so I could ride home. Damn good customer service. 👌👍👌👍👌

Hey, the most informative, professional, best Bike Shop in Renton!

Great local mountain biking shop. I came in to buy little things here and there that I needed in a pinch. A month back I had them build me a wheel set. Their free truing for life on wheels was a great perk, and the guys have always been friendly to me and my kids who love exploring the store and honking all the bike horns. Parking downtown can sometimes be a headache but GHY is worth the hurdle.

Great little bike shop - good prices and excellent customer service. I highly recommend them - they suggested a lower priced service than what I originally asked for instead of trying to upsell me! My bike was repaired faster and for less money that I was planning on.

A great group of guys work at this shop, all friendly and helpful. My son goes in thereoften just to look around and ask questions. Everyone is helpful even though he rarely buys anything. We did buy his BMX bike there, best selection around. Shop is easy to find and parking is always available right outside the store.

I love this place! I go in sometimes to get my BMX bike new parts and when they tune up my bike, I can go straight to the skatepark down the street. The people are all really nice and knowledgeable.

I was looking to buy a new XC / AM frame and had a quote from a different bike store on an Intense Tracer for $1,800. I was surprised to see more than one Intense dealer in WA at all and gave GHY a call to see what they would quote me. $300 less!Ordered the frame and it came in about a week later.When I picked it up I inquired about a headset but they didnt have the right size. They said they could order me one, I declined and the guy let me have the info on the size and type for when I went to get it.They do have a good selection of mountain bike parts too.Overall; good, quick, and friendly service with decent selection and competitive prices. Id recommend.

This bike shop is super helpful. My car broke down, rather than getting a new car in the congestion formerly known as Seattle, I decided to be a bus/bike commuter.Let me start by saying the staff is super nice. They didnt judge me for not knowing much about bikes and with their help Im semi competent in maintaining my own bike now. On top of that, any new bike purchased from their shop has a year of free maintenance.The first bike I bought from them ended up being destroyed in a freak occurrence (I wasnt hurt, but my bike was literally gone) and they helped me get back on the road with a great discount on another bike. 5/5 stars. Anyone who is into biking should check this place out at least once
