Sloppy management, hazardous fluid spill leaving fumes that ruined my belongings, lack of transparency and response regarding terms of the contract, it’s become a nightmare.I found a unit around the corner had leaked some kind of hazardous fluid that smelled like lighter fluid over an area roughly 4 ft x 6 ft, took photos, reported it to management. Returned a month later to retrieve clothes for a funeral, the odor was still everywhere. I asked for my rent to be paid for 60 days as recompense for the damage, a bargain by any measure, and received no reply. When my bill was overdue I started receiving daily emails with threats about potential consequences which are not spelled out in the contract. Then they asked for a review, so here you are. I’m still too injured to move my stuff anywhere else, incredibly frustrated.

Ive rented a unit with Self Storage Plus on the 3rd Floor since June, 2021 and so far I have no complaints. The facility is always clean and the staff, Dawn and recently Tavis, are very courteous and helpful. I thought they were a little pricey but after comparing with local competitors, turns out Self Storage Plus rates are competitive. I would recommend them.

I came in inquiring about storage units for my business and was unsure of what size I should be looking at for the type of business that I run. Dawn and Tavis were very patient with me and explained all the different sizes of storage units and the type of insurance coverage I could pair along with it. They explained what size they think would fit me and my business and took their time since I told them I was absolutely clueless about the process. With both of their efforts I was able to have a painless introduction to storage. Also another point that I loved was that they did not pressure me to walk out the door with a unit so that I could think about my options. AMAZING customer service from both of them!

This is my first time renting a storage unit since college days. This storage facility is brand new, clean, and centrally located to many businesses and condos in Reston, VA. General Manager, Dawn is fabulous ! She knowledgeable and engaging with her clientele. Great location, very clean storage facility and a knowledgeable leader (GM) makes this place tops in my book.

The Reston Storage is wonderful place to store my belongings. I had another storage before. It wasn’t that great. Ms. Dawn Quinn has provided always a wonderful costumer services. She is great.

The storage is clean, nice and convenient as it is close to where I live. We got a 10x8 and it fits our needs and it is also a plus that the storage is 11” high. The staff is super nice and friendly and the process of getting the paperwork done was easy, quick and smooth. Mary answered all our questions and explained everything clearly. She also accommodated our request to see the unit the day before we were scheduled to occupy it. I do wish, however, that they have bigger/longer dollies and also to have mattress dollies. Other than those 2 things everything is great!

I was not yet a tenant here for a month when the brand-new building flooded during a rainstorm. I have spent many hours moving stuff so it could dry out, sorting through the damage and throwing stuff away, and documenting and preparing the insurance claim. The facilitys mandated insurance provider -- you must pay for insurance and it must be from them -- has a $250 deductible, so a months stay here has cost me at least $250 in addition to the rent and I am sure they will nickel and dime me some more.Unfortunately, rather than trying to help me with the situation, the facility keeps handing me new problems. They told me at the time that I could have a unit on a higher floor so I would not have to worry about this happening again, but are now saying I will have to pay more for the privilege.You rent a storage space because you want convenience and a safe place for your stuff. I got quite a lot of precisely the opposite here.

I have had two Self Storage Plus accounts. This one I only had for a couple months, and it was overall a good experience. I did end up with a unit in the second floor below ground level which had zero cell reception, and I couldnt use the unit I signed the contract for online because the door was too narrow, so I had to pay a second time for all the setup fees (most contracts are irreversible agreements). I am disappointed that the online experience was so poor compared with the flexibility of the on-site experience. The staff was courteous and helpful, I think the site is brand new, and I only rented for a couple months, and the checkout process was smooth and quick.They do want 10 days notice of vacating which I did not give, so I had some overlap cost, but thats on me. Again, overall good experience with some annoying bumps the staff could not control. Thanks for another good storage experience, Self Storage Plus!

Connor was awesome! Super friendly and helpful.Made sure my unit was cleaned and good to go before move in. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here. They also have security cameras everywhere which is amazing as well.

Reserved a unit online and got an immediate call back within 10 mins. The young lady quoted me a very good price on a unit. I came into the office and Dawn showed me the unit and told me about the property. I want to rent from this facility because it is clean and the staff member has a positive attitude and communicates very well.

Mary is absolutely wonderful. She was helped. She answered to all my storage questions and recommend packing supplies to help protect my belongings. The property is so clean. We definitely recommend and thank u Mary for providing the absolute best customer service to me . I will definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a storage facility.

After 4 years at a different storage unit across town, we are moving to this brand new Self Storage Plus location near our house - super nice, super clean, super convenient ! everything and more one could ask for! Steve has been extremely helpful during the transition, and we will be fully moved in by next week. Highly recommend - have looked at about a dozen different storage unit companies and locations in the area and this is head and shoulders above all the others!
