Hidden gem. Store is located in historic building. Beautiful inside and out.They do have limited variety of natural materials garments and lots of man made materials clothing.

I just wanted to say how happy I am to be able to use the services they provide at my local banana republic! The staff was so helpful and accommodating Im simply beside myself. They went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed before I left and for that Im grateful. I am a fan of Banana Republic. They make beautiful, stylish, modern, smart casual clothing, shoes and accessories for most sizes and all occasions. During our holiday in San Francisco I purchased some lovely items from this store. Each season their ranges are lovely and Banana Republic clothing lasts, it launders well. I find that Each Banana Republic store is well set out and the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful.
Large store located in Union Square area on the corner of Sutter and Grant streets. Actually it is more than large, huge is more accurate. Was looking for mens wallets and belts but they had a tiny selection which was disappointing, but ended up buying underwear which was on sale. Good selection of shoes and perhaps may return one day soon to buy a pair or two if I dont come across other pairs that I like somewhere.
This is the Banana Republic flagship store for San Francisco and it shows. It has a beautiful storefront and the layout of the store is well done. There is a great selection of apparel and a fair amount in stock. There seems to be ample staff on hand because the store is clean and theyre not shy to open another register when the line backs up. Its easily accessible by BART with a short walk from the station.

Wow wow wow. This flagship BR store is awesome. If youre in San Francisco Id almost say dont bother with any other BR. Especially if youre just browsing. 👗The selection here is top notch. They have items that are normally only found online. The staff is very helpful, and its just far enough away from the main drag of union square not to be totally crawling with tourists.They also have the wedding collections here which can be useful not just for bridesmaid attire but all sorts of formal occasions.
Very helpful staff. I was greeted at every turn and asked if I needed help. If there was a question a staffer did not know they will find someone who does. The only thing I found lacking was the choice of selection. I was able to find more options at the embarcadero location as Im sure the flagship store is frequently visited by much more shoppers. I ended up trying on different styles and sizes and will most likely make my purchase online.
Great location! The staff was friendly and the selection great. I got some great advice. I ended up getting a great blazer that was on sale that was the same style as the full-priced ones. I also didnt realize that they have shoes here.

This is the flagship store in San Fransisco. Parking is awful, but that is not out if the normal for San Fransisco. The store itself is HUGE and they have the cutest clothes! I cant afford to buy their clothes at full retail price, but they have a huge clearance section where you can get great deals on quality clothing.
The flagship Banana Republic location. Its massive, and expensive. However, like any good Banana Republic, there is a sale section that is proportionally large to the store size. Ive found some good deals there. The staff is really kind and if you go at the right time of day the store can be somewhat empty.

This particular location is a large, well stocked and organized location. The best Banana Republic location in the city.The actual chain itself is also good. The clothes are expensive but generally its lowest youd pay for clothes of such quality.
Ive always like this store location as they have more inventory than other locations. But this time the service is bad... I was waiting for checkout at the womens register at lower level, two male associates walked by, didnt bother to tell me the register is temporarily close as the line is not long enough. Just minutes ago I saw it was still open... Fine, luckily Im familiar with this location and I know theres another register upstairs at the mens level. When I leave, the door facing Grant ave was locked. Another male associate stood 5 feet away from me, with both of his arms crossed in front of his chest, yelled its called push! Seriously??! I dont know what makes them feel so good about themselves. You dont hire people like that for customer service!
Wanted to get some new items, very disappointed, wanted a couple of shoes nobody around to get your size, had to go to the cashier they were all talking to each other had to say hello, and when I did get a young ladies attention, and asked for my size she asked a Asian gentlemen and the said they didnt have my size he was very rude, it was clear he didnt have time to help, she offered so customer service. It upsets me at 10:am in the morning a store would be happy to help there customers but clearly the attitude and culture was they didnt want the business My SUGGESTION Do Not Shop At Banana Republic There a Joke
This is a big, roomy flagship store. Great range of clothing, with all sizes seemingly on stock. The staff were a little overrun when I was there, but were incredibly helpful (and chatty). I had a great shopping experience in this store.
Amazingly huge location. You will likely find exactly what you need here for every occasion. Even wedding dresses. Cool, bright and clean!
This is a great location of Banana. Its huge with 2 floors and there are always good sales going on. They also feature some items from sf made near their accessory section on the top floor. Check online before you go there are often discounts available on wednesdays!
I love to shop at BR store and this is best location where they have more stocks. Their service is great. I always forgot my time when I shop here. It is nice.

Banana Republic is caught up in a scam with Synchrony Bank and Midland Credit Collection Agency.My credit score was ruined by this...all for a pair of pants :( I will never shop at Banana Republic again. Such a SCAM!

This is a really nice, huge store but impossible for me to shop in because the dressing rooms are literally a cremation room / sauna. I am drenched in sweat by the time I finish trying on two shirts. It is the same way in the boys. Hope they can fix this !

I was attending a conference at Bespoke on October 1st 2019. During a morning break, someone bumped into me and spilled an Acai smoothie down my back all over my cream sweater and green dress. Although calm, cool and collective I wasnt going to be able to tough it out as I was speaking later in the afternoon. I noticed that there was a Banana Republic in the same mall and ran down there to see what I could find on clearance to do a quick change. Not only was the staff extremely friendly, they also steamed the linen romper I found but also helped me find a matching cardigan. This team of customer service professionals was so impressive and kind in the midst of my chaos. Thank you Thank you to the morning crew, you saved me from and otherwise embarrassing situation and I left that store looking amazing! Ive never had a better customer service experience! Im a Banana Republic shopper for life!

It took me years before I went inside Banana because I thought it was for old people, but once I went inside, I found a bunch of items that I loved. In fact, I was able to get a really awesome dress, for $25 bucks on sale, originally, $60+. So, I would go in every so often just to see what they have.
Staff are more than willing to help and the store is always well maintained. I love my shopping experiences here!

The mother of all Banana Republic stores. Their flagship in San Francisco. Its enormous and has everything that Banana Republic makes I would imagine. Great selection of sizes as well, theyre very rarely out of a size. And if they dont have it, well theyll just order right away.

Going to the flagship store always has its advantages. The product selection is really good and generally feels larger than other Banana stores. The clearance section itself seems huge.

Best selection you will find for Banana Rebulic. They have a nicer inventory than other BR stores with high end products. Here you can purchase vintage designer bags (Chanel or Louis Vuitton) jewelery, sunglasses, scarfs (Hermes) and shoes. They also carry the designer vintage collection in the mens section as well. The inventory turns over fast and staff puts clothing on the floor without steaming or ironing items so expect to see wrinkled pants, tops, skirts, etc. There is a bathroom if needed and most cell service will not work downstairs in the womens section.
Giant store with a huge selection compared to the store at the mall. Theres a downstairs sitting area for anyone whos tired of shopping but waiting for someone else to finish. Great wifi too!

I love the Banana Republic Flagship store here in San Francisco. There are two huge separate floors for Men and Women wear. I love that they have affordable clothing that you can wear for day and easily transition to night with an accessory or two. They have a great selection of quality business casual clothing and a good variety of slacks/dress pants for all shapes and sizes. They also carry a Petite line.Its a very spacious store that is well kept and tidy (ie, you rarely see any random sweaters tossed to the side or lying on the ground) You can easily navigate through the store because they do a great job of laying out their collections and highlighting certain pieces on display. Dont forget to try the Reserve In Store function - another +1 for being able to go online and reserve items and different sizes I want On Hold before going to the store! One of my favorite BR locations to shop at!

If you are around Banana Republic and dont see 20% or 40% off ads, you know you are at the wrong location. There is ALWAYS sales going on at Banana Republic. They have a decent collection for men & women at this store (they have to since its their Flagship Store). If you buy anything at full price, you overpaid! Women have a lot of options in the sale/discounted items section but men section doesnt have that much items. They also have accessories for men & women and unless you are a die hard fan of Banana Republic, you are better off looking for accessories elsewhere.Street parking is available and there is also a garage about 2 doors down but that place is a ripoff so dont park there unless you really really have to.
