The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was good. I think the scoop was very small and overpriced for the amount of ice cream you get. The waffle cone tastes great though.

Oreo was flavorless. Lavender honey just tasted like honey... They arent allowing you in the store so you dont get to see the tubs. I wouldve drove somewhere else since thats the whole kid experience to see all of the flavors. Covid shouldnt shut an ice cream shop down when everything else is open.

Sweet Firefly is a delicious hidden gem! The ice cream is so good and the service is friendly!

I enjoy Firefly. Some of the best homemade icecream you can get locally. A bit on the pricey side. 2 scoops will run approx 5 dollars and if the scooper isnt heavy handed, the scoops end up on the small side like they were today. Currently during COVID, all orders are being done online with pickup. I did see an order couple there today as a walkup and they were kind enough to take their order at the door. They do have select ice creams available so I would check ahead of time before ordering.

Some people prefer classic ice cream places. I prefer trendy ones with a cool vibe and innovative flavors, which describes sweet firefly. Best ice cream in Richardson/North Dallas area, in my opinion!

Love this place! It is my wife and Is favorite ice cream place in the area. Their award winning chocolate is her favorite and the cookies & cream is awesome here, one of my favorite as well! Its been awhile since we came but we saw how they have a new store layout (for COVID is my guess). It is now like ordering from a ticket booth(?), there is no inside anymore. I am not sure how long this will last but we will see! There are a few benches nearby and the menu is on a chalkboard as well as at the window.

Their ice cream is amazing. I love their Vegan choices. Since I dont eat Diary, I tend to get stuck with Sorbet choices which are meeeh. So, their Vegan choices were amazing.

Variety of flavors that they revamp occasionally. Coffee Toffee Crunch is our all-time fav. We also really love the outdoor seating space in the complex, perfect for a post-dinner treat and conversation!Highly recommend trying this place out, not once but multiple times so that you get the experience of most flavors.

Came to Richardson for dinner and decided to search around for dessert. Found this gem of a place! The ice cream is absolutely delicious. Unique and traditional flavors can be found. Its cream perfection and my husband and I really enjoyed it. The owner rang us up and made a point to try and remember us. I think its her goal to know all her customers.Prices are well worth the quality. We split a granddaddy for $5.50. Blueberry cobbler, banana nut, and salted caramel. All three were delicious and we couldnt pick a favorite.

The ice cream here is great! The scoops are good sized and reasonably priced. I got the Honey Almond & Cream and it was so creamy without being too sweet. There was a line out the door, but it moved quickly and the ice cream was worth the wait.

Their retro theme is a fun atmosphere that takes you back to an old-timey ice cream parlor. Sweet Firefly is a must everytime I visit my sister in Dallas! My favorite flavors are the sea salt caramel and cinnamon, but Ive tried many of their other flavors over the past few years. All are creamy and delicious. My baby nephew swears by the bright blue kooky monster. Service is always great, and theyre doing a great job with COVID safety by serving through a window.Support this wonderful and delicious local business, you will not regret it!!!

Quite simply, its just delicious ice cream! Quick service, friendly staff, and well priced. They also have interesting flavors, and I wish I could have just sampled all of them haha. Would definitely recommend if youre in the area.

This is my third visit to Sweet Firefly, and every single visit has been spectacular. We love that their flavors rotate, so there are always fresh new options. Fantastic, high quality ice cream with some neat flavors (Toasted Coconut, Coffee Toffee Crunch) and other more standard flavors (Bourbon Vanilla, Sea Salt Caramel) but no matter what you get, it’s going to be REALLY good. There’s some limited indoor seating, but plenty of shady outdoor areas and benches to sit in (at the center of the little park area).

Beautifully decorated place! Super clean for an ice cream shop! Super nice and spacious. They have a kid area where you can play board games, they have cute kid sized tables and chairs. And they also have a chalk board for kids so they can draw and be creative... Such a cool and family friendly environment! In the back they rent out space for parties or anything private for children. They make their own ice cream and are always on spot with the taste. I like the way they rotate their flavors and are creative when making their ice cream! Very friendly staff, really care, and owner Angie Conrad is a vibrant, upbeat and hardworking person. She Has really achieved her goal to make this place a success! Its amazing my clean for an ice cream place and I cant find anything wrong with it or improvement... Keep it up!!!

Ice cream was okay but the guy taking our order was super rude. He seemed to have an attitude and my family and I did not appreciate that. I do not know if it was us, because he was nice/polite to the couple that ordered after us, but we didn’t say anything about it.

Visiting the area for the week and was looking for a good ice cream spot. So many to choose from and decided on Sweet Firefly because while my husband and kids can have ice cream I cant have dairy. I usually have a hard time finding a good spot with some vegan choices. Unfortunately their vegan choices for the day werent any that I liked but I did have their mango sorbet. Wow! It was so good!!! We are from the Austin area with lots of gourmet spots. Sweet firefly reminds me of our sweet eats back home. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The young man working there today was so patient with my 9 year old who just couldnt decide what he wanted. We will definitely be back to this sweet spot on our next trip up here. Thanks for the good eats!

I was invited here by my friend and her family, which is now my family. Each time I’ve went, I’ve met great people, including one of the owners. Her testimony was breath taking. My heart felt full yet grateful, bitter yet sweet to have realized that their are GREAT people in the world. The owners treat you like family...greetings with a smile of warmth, friendliness to brighten your day. My last visit which was my “birthday ice cream outing”, it was then I realized that I have been adopted by the GREATEST family in the world!!! This confirmation while at Sweet Firefly. This isn’t just an ice cream shop...it’s where family(ies) share funny stories, heart felt moments, and build beautiful memories. I will forever be grateful that I the opportunity to meet the owner and given the chance commend her on the shops atmosphere, professionalism, oh and let’s not forget the GREATEST ice cream/snowballs in Dallas. Great ice cream! The Bourbon Vanilla was delicious. I prefer that over the Cinnamon ice cream I had.

The oreo flavor was good and creamy and the workers are really kind. However I couldnt help but think about another ice cream place further south called Tongue in Cheek that has more interesting flavors. If you cant make it there, this place is a great one to go to.

If you haven’t been to sweet firefly you are missing out. Usually one of the owners is there to personally greet you, and the sweet cream small batch ice cream is delightful. They also have candy and snow cones. There is a small room that can be reserved for parties and the covered walkway out front and shaded areas make the outdoor seating nice all year. Their sea salt caramel ice cream is unbeatable.

I like this icecream because its super creamy and you get big chunks of the main Ingredients in it, like Oreo.. you get big chunks of Oreo in each scoop. Also depends on whos working whether you get generous scoops or not. The young teens never let me down on scoop proportions!

Their ice cream is some of the best in Richardson. I would order their ice cream over their shaved ice. Staff is very friendly and look like they are having fun. I recommend eating your ice cream slightly away from the store as it is very popular with big families. The small food plaza had a few benches around their fountain almost as it was made for the ice cream shop.

I love their ice cream but I am really here to review them on their rental service. We rented their space for my baby shower and the staff was exceptionally courteous and sweet. They cleaned the space for our event in no time and also took photos for us upon our request. The space was just right for a small group of people. Well done on amazing staff, professionalism and real southern hospitality!!!!

This is the best ice cream you can get for the money, hands-down. The decor is lovely, the staff is great. Its a hometown favorite for a reason. They are known for their sea-salt caramel, but you should taste any flavors that interest you and consider getting multiples. My favorite is the Beltline Berry - its a black raspberry ice cream with chunks of dark chocolate. If they have it, you should try it for sure. Also, their coffee toffee crunch is fantastic. They also have a selection of candy available for sale if you need a topping. Just check it out - you wont regret it.

The owners and staff are just great people as well. So warm and accommodating. Ive never met a person who doesnt light up when we mention the name Sweet Firefly. They have become such an essential part of the Richardson community!

Sweet Firefly is a place that my friends and I frequent. Their service is always great and their variety of ice cream flavors is plentiful. Their flavors rotate, so its great that you can get two flavors with even the smallest size cup. As an added bonus, UTD students get a discount with their ID. This place can get rather busy, but they get through the lines pretty quickly. The store is always clean and there is room to sit outside as well. Sweet Firefly is a must visit for all ice cream lovers and a great place for friends who want a cozy place to socialize.

Fast friendly service. Really delicious flavors. Cinnamon is to die for. Bourbon vanilla equally good. Chocolate is super smooth and a great compliment to many other flavors, as well as being great on its own. The shop is a bit small, but there are shady areas nearby outside with benches in case the inside gets too crowded. We have only had good experiences here.

My daughter had a cheer competition in Garland, so after dinner my husband, daughter, son and I decided we would stop by for a post-dinner treat. The place was cozy and the staff was absolutely the sweetest! The girl who served us and the young gentleman who held a friendly conversation with my little family were so wonderful! Stopped in for a milkshake (which they do not make) after fiery tacos. Had a double scoop coffee toffee waffle cone instead. Great ice cream! And as everywhere I’ve been in Dallas, super nice and friendly staff (I may just move here!) tried the cinnamon Oreo ice cream. Also very good.

Staff is very friendly. Dining aka ice cream eating area is clean. There are approximately 12 to 15 flavors to choose from. The ice cream is of good quality but in my opinion there was not anything special or unique about the ice cream. This is definitely a cozy place where the locals come for desserts.

The girls were so sweet. There were 8 of us, and they were so patient and kind as we asked for samples and asked about different flavors. I had trouble deciding what flavor to get because they were all SO GOOD!! Ended up with the lemon vanilla, which is awesome. The service was even better than the ice cream, though.**edited to add, you can get 2 flavors in 1 scoop which is only like $3 .... for real artisan, home made ice cream!? So, sooo worth it

Small ice cream shop tucked in a calm neighborhood of Richardson. The ice cream cones and flavors are creative and yummy. The staff is more so.. they are friendly and welcoming. Try their vanilla bourbon and coffee toffee as a must although others flavors are great too. When ever we crave ice cream sweet fire fly is what we dream 😊

What sets this place apart is the quality of ice cream and the incredible taste each bite.Dairy isnt exactly my best friend, but my Sweet Firefly two scoops of Oreo and Chocolate Peanut Butter was worth every single bite! My hubby also enjoyed every bite of his Sea Salt Caramel and Chocolate Peanut Butter.Seriously, the quality of every bite was incredible. Ive made my way through many an ice cream shop and the oreo, peanut butter and chocolate are top notch.Not only will we be coming back here many times over, this is going to be our go to ice cream place. You know, when we feel like testing our digestive systems love of dairy :)

We are not from Texas, but visit relatives here once or twice a year. Weve been to many ice cream shops around Dallas, but this is everyones absolute favorite! The ice cream is the perfect, creamy consistency and the flavors are out of this world delicious. The staff is always super friendly and fun, especially kind to kiddos, and as accommodating as possible. Ive never had a bad flavor, or a bad experience! Highly recommend, and try the caramel!!

A wonderful, independent ice cream and shaved ice (aka snow cones) parlor. The ice cream is delicious! Their biggest seller! The Sea salt caramel. The cinnamon Ive cream is great too, as is the more prosaic mint chocolate chip. Give it a go, youll be glad you did.

Great experience!I came here a few months ago with a group while we were spending a few days in Dallas. After eating at a restaurant near by, we decided to pop in and have some ice cream. The ice cream (I tried cinnamon) was incredible, and the lady who served us was sweet and super patient while all of us chose our flavors.I definitely want to come back next time Im in Dallas/Richardson!
