I love this place and it’s good honest service. We moved farther away and we still come back to the shop because of the people that work here and always getting a fair deal and honest work.

Its hard to get excited about a new transmission but these guys made it great. Very good customer service which never seems to happen anymore. Upfront about pricing which I thought was fair and the best part they gave me a loaner car. I was so thrilled to know i could still go about my life while they fix me up. Everything went smooth fast and as expected and ill refer them to anyone!

Competent people, very nice loaner car but, I thought a bit pricey.

Technically there was no actual check engine light on, but something was amiss in my F150. 2 other shops that I normally trust all claimed to have run a dx and found “no codes.” On a whim and some research I brought my truck over to TSI. The staff is very friendly, professional, patient, and just down to earth good people. They had my issue dx’d correctly, and explained what the issue was. Luckily it was a very simple fix that I was comfortable doing myself. The only frustration I had was why no other shop seemed to be able to dx such an easy and very common issue. Well their loss, TSI has a new customer for life.

These guys are great! They saved me $2,000!! Russ was super nice, understanding, and made me feel better about my terrible car situation. My car stopped accelerating while on the highway. I had it towed to the nearest garage. They said it was the transmission and that itd be $3,500 to fix. I found Transmission Shop Inc, called them for a second opinion, had my car towed there and by the afternoon knew the best and worst case scenario. Russ even gave me price points for both scenarios and explained what he thought could be the problem after listening to the details of my car issue. It turned out to be a clutch problem. They fixed it and my car seriously drives like new! I highly recommend this place. They do other basic tune ups too and they are really fast! The turn around time on my clutch problem was two days! Thank you so much for fixing my car!

This place is the real deal. Old-school professionalism and excellent auto-work. I had my cars transmission rebuilt about a year ago and the car has run great. Last week I brought it in to have the transmission pan and gasket looked at because another mechanic said i had a seeping leak. The transmission shop replace both parts and flushed the fluid at no charge as part of my warranty. I highly recommend bringing you car here for any transmission work or otherwise. The quality or service and professionalism is worth every penny.

For a nasty, expensive problem, this was the best experience possible. We dealt with Roger and his attitude was 100% positive and professional. While driving our 2004 Denali, it didnt go into reverse plus, it was shifting automatically. This all happened on a Sunday afternoon. Monday morning we called our local mechanic and he referred us to TSI, specifically Roger. My husband gave them a call. Roger was incredibly understanding and matter of fact. We brought the car in. They took it for a drive to see what the issues were and gave us a call. Not fun but the work needed to be done - and was done later that week. We had to rent a car during this time as my husband now had the other car out of town. One of their employees picked me up at the car rental office and brought me back to the shop to get our car. All in all, it was a positive experience. I truly hope we dont have another transmission issue very soon but in the meantime, we HIGHLY recommend TSI.Oh, and while the transmission was apart they said there was an oil leak that they could fix. We knew about this previously so we were happy to hear they could fix it at a fraction of the cost of doing the oil leak separately.Good folk.

I highly recommend this shop. They worked on the 4 wheel drive of our truck back in December and were professional and efficient. Our problem was tricky to diagnose and they kept me up to date on their progress. We ended up needing a special part and they made a separate trip to pick it up so we didnt have to wait for it to be shipped. They were friendly, polite and respectful and when I picked up the truck, they showed me the part that had to be replaced and explained the problem. Price was reasonable, actually much less than I expected. Great business. If you have ever been intimidated by or spoken down to by a mechanic, take your business here. They will take care of you and your vehicle.

Wonderful customer service! I took my car into another shop and they gave me a $1400 dollar estimate, so I took it to Russ for a second opinion. He found out that my repairs were covered under my warranty which I wasnt aware of, and called chevy dealerships in the area to confirm it and got me set up with a specific person for a next day appointment at a Chevy dealership. He was friendly and genuine and honest. He even wanted to me to check in with him after my appointment with Chevy to confirm everything went okay. I walked out with a $0 bill. He couldve easily taken my money but instead helped me out :) I would recommend this place for anyone in the cities needing services for their car!

I have nothing but great things to say about these guys, They do great work and are very open about pricing options. I paid almost 30% less than the dealership for a transmission rebuild. They kept in constant communication and tried hard to save me money where possible. If you are looking for a trust-worthy mechanic, this is the place to go!

I toke my Tahoe in for service. They told me that I needed a new motor part for my 4 wheel drive. Cost $786 plus I needed three transmission serviced at $200 plus, they didn’t explain that there is also another part of the trans or 4x4 system that they could have changed. They charged me $125.00 for nothing. So, they expected me to pay almost $1000.00 for something I took to the automotive shop in Anoka and paid $240.00 out the door.They claimed to have place the truck on the computer and a very bad sensor reacted. The shop in Anoka put it on the computer,free of charge and received NO sensors.I will never visit this shop and do not recommend it. SCAMMERS

I dont normally take the time to write reviews, but this experience was well worth the time to do so. We recently had the shift solenoid (electro-mechanical part) component of the transmission in our 2008 SUV go out - a fairly minor and expected repair. Ive visited the Transmission Shop in Richfield before with other minor transmission issues with a happy experience, so no reason to not do so for this. After we picked up the SUV after the repair, we made it about 5 miles down the road when the entire transmission seized up, with lots of grinding, and metal-on-metal sounds. We had the SUV towed back to TSI and after an initial inspection, it looked like an independent failure - not related to the recent repair. Whatever was coming apart in our transmission was allowed to completely break once our routine part had been installed. Now we were looking at a $3500 rebuild of the transmission! However, the next day I received a call from Russ at the shop, who informed me that after they got the transmission apart - they realized that the initial part they installed was defective - and in fact had caused the mechanical failure and damage, and that they would be repairing this at no cost to us immediately. They could have simply allowed us to proceed with the expensive rebuild, and quietly swept the faulty part incident under the rug - but they chose the route of high integrity and informed us of the issue on their part. As consumers, were at the mercy of our mechanics to tell us what we need and be trustworthy, and that kind of integrity seems hard to find these days. For that, theyll have my business and anyone else within my reach. In my view, you should look nowhere else for your transmission services.

I brought one of my companies trucks that had a transfer case go out on it at the worst time possible to the TSI in Richfield. I had the pleasure of working with one of the owners I believe his name is Russ. My experience with TSI was top of the line with their friendly, fast, and professional service. There is a reason all of my company trucks are now maintained by TSI in Richfield. That is because I am certain I can trust and rely on them to get the job done right the first time. As we all know with the many other repair shops trust is a big issue. I would highly recommend anyone to use TSI as a good repair shop is hard to find now a days!
