Will never shop at this brick & mortar store again. My husband, toddler and i arrived today without a mask to return some items to the store. As we entered the store we were bombarded by an aggressive sales associate telling us we must have a mask. My husband and toddler left the store. I put on a mask to finish my return. Throughout my visit there i was repeatedly followed around the store by the same sales associate telling me to adjust my mask keep it over my nose. I only adjusted my mask so she could clearly understand me when spelling out my last name to complete the return. I have never since this pandemic had such a terrible experience shopping. They have lost a customer. Enjoy your masks Crate & Barrel π·
Disappointing the customer service policies here are not customer friendly. This business imposes mask mandates on its customers that do not allow their customers to be free to make their own decisions. People are adults and as such should be able to make decisions for themselves, like they are in all other areas of life. In fact, this business will kick you out if you do not conform to their customer service policies. A business is there to serve its customers and make the shopping experience as exceptional as possible. My fiancΓ© and I really wanted to have our wedding registry with this store, which would have brought thousands of dollars in revenue for them. In general, businesses run on such small profit margins that mandating these customer service policies are not sustainable for growth or even allow them to stay in business. My fiancΓ© felt especially downtrodden and spoken down to after being kicked out and not treated as an adult. The whole experience leaves a very sour taste in the mouth moving forward with this business and probably wonβt change even if they decide to βallowβ its customers to make their own adult decisions.
Absolutely love this store! If you love to cook, like I do, this is your store. You can find a lot of useful kitchen tools here and staff is always helpful.
SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE- Updated:Promises, promises. We will get it there by Friday!. . . . . .MONDAY EVENING AFTER THE BRIDE AND GROOM ALREADY OPENED ALL THEIR PRESENTS AND HEADED OUT ON THERE HONEYMOON THEIR PACKAGE FINALLY ARRIVED MONDAY!! There it sits on their porch for a week.Never again will I shop here and I warn you against doing so.SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!!DO NOT order from this company unless you want broken items and a lot of babysitting to get your items in a timely manner.WOW. I am shocked that a company can function so poorly.First, for a bridal shower a pottery bowl and platter were ordered. First time broken, 2nd time broken, 3rd time platter broken. Bowl defective glaze. Finally the shower was 2 days away and we gave her the piece that did survive the last shipping to her and let her decide if she wanted to keep it due to there being a defect in the quality of the glazing.Jump to Today. . I ordered 20 napkin rings On September 19th, now the 29th. . they STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED!!! I have called the company 2X and they promise me they will make sure they ship and be there for the wedding that is THIS SATURDAY. They wanted to waive my gift box fee for me. . how generous $5.50 on a $90 Order. If only they had to pay me my hourly wage for all the time I have spent on the phone with them.NOTHING BUT HASSLE AND WASTED TIME IF YOU SHOP WITH CRATE & BARREL!!
Iβve always shopped CB online because I donβt live near a store. I went to stl this weekend and was so pumped to actually shop in person before buying. I was shocked at the poor quality of the furniture! Barely anything was actually made of solid wood; all veneer! Their displays were peeling, I even saw a $1,000 coffee table that had mdf legs that were broken in half. The fabric on the sofas is poor quality as well. So disappointed because everything has always looked so beautiful online. If Iβm going to pay $4,000 for a sideboard, I just feel like it should be built with quality materials.
Always fun to shop there, new items every time.
Havent bought yet, but the furniture sales rep was terrific. Lots of knowledge and experience. Good suggestions.
My first time in the store. Very nice and clean although when I went to check out they was an older lady that checked me out. I didnt like the fact that she threw my change on the counter. I put the money in her hand she could have been a little more courteous and not so rude.
Itβs Saturday 11/14, earlier this week we made an appointment for 12:30 with a sales rep. We drove 90 miles and arrived 30 minutes early. The saleswoman we made the appointment with never showed up and when we asked management and other salespeople for help we were just told βsorry, itβs a Saturdayβ. Well we were about to spend $10,000 to furnish our whole kitchen and living room. Sure it would have been a nice commission for someone. Oh well, we will just have to take our cash elsewhere.
My go to place for all home decor.
My husband and I are building a new home, so I thought it would be a great idea to make an online appointment for a design consultation. We live 90 minutes from this location but were super excited at the thought to work with someone on planning for our new home. I showed up for my appointment and told the person at the front register that I was there for an appointment that I scheduled online. She asked who I made the appointment with and I stated that my reservation didnt specify a person. She called upstairs and told me to go upstairs to the furniture department and someone would be there to help me. After 10 minutes of looking around for someone, I finally located a very nice gentleman who told me that the person I was working with was just finishing up with someone else and would be with me soon. Fine, I totally understand that. After 35 more minutes of just sitting no one had still come to work with me. My appointment time was from 12:30-1:15. At 1:10, I finally stopped an associate who was with someone else to ask her if the person I was to work with was around. I explained my situation and she stated that the online appointments are not a great way to arrange an appointment. Ummmm what?? If that is the case then why have them. Anyways, I told her okay and that I would go ahead and just place an order online for what I needed. She immediately told me that she could help me in a few minutes, but I said that I was ready to leave since I had already waited 45 minutes for my schedule appointment. After more conversation she said well with COVID and the fact that its a Saturday this stuff happens. I totally get that if I didnt have an appointment but I did. She did offer to do a virtual design with me, but after my experience I will not be doing that. I was looking so forward to this. Instead I came back home and went to a local furniture store where I was greeted immediately at the door and asked what I needed help with. Yes it was just as busy as Crate and Barrel, but someone still found time to work with me. I am sorry, but for the cost, Crate and Barrel you need to up your customer service game. This is just unacceptable for the price you charge to have your name on something.
Super helpful staff. I went in looking for a meat tenderizer and didnt see one on the floor. However, the sales person was able to locate one in the back for me!
Still have to wear a mask here
Spent $8,000 on furniture here in the past 2 months and tried to return something to the store today, drove an hour in the rain, round trip, with 3 antsy young kids to be told that I have to call to schedule for them to come pick it up, since it was delivered. The original delivery process did not go smoothly at all, either. They agreed to give 30 minutes notice, but then gave 10. The driver said if I wasnt there in 5 minutes they had to leave. I have 2 more deliveries in queue, including a custom made piece that I will be cancelling.
I knew I already loved all of Crate and Barrels items they sell when I walked in but I wasnt expecting such a warm welcome! I went on a Saturday when it was fairly busy and every section of the store I went to had at least one employee say hi warmly and asked if I needed anything. The entire staff was so friendly and made my whole much experience better.
Very helpful and friendly staff, plus I want everything in the π€£π€£
This is one of my favorite places to shop for the home. Things are a little overpriced but I know their quality and theyβre going to last. You can always shop sales here and get a great deal. They even have a clearance section. If you want to customize something they have a place that you can order customized items such as furniture. If youβre an entertainer, this is the place for you. They have cheese boards, glassware, cooking utensils, blankets, pillows, bedding, furniture of all kinds, even Crate & barrel for kids. I would strongly suggest going here for home goods.
Great selection and super customer help.
We have a challenging living room space, so we paid $99 for an in-home consult. Andy has been so wonderful and patient in helping us pick out the perfect pieces and configure the space in a usable way. I also appreciate the large show room with lots of items on display. Everyone that works here has been so helpful. I highly recommend C&B if you are looking for higher end furniture π
Love C&B, but understaffed lately. I can never get help with furniture and design staff.
Had a bad experience with ordering and product availability and Jenny was able to straighten it all out and even offer us a discount. Customer service was beyond exceptional after a shipping error on a system they could not control.
Hands down this is the best place if you need to buy something from a bridal registry. Not only do they help you print the registry they also will shop for you. If you happen to spend over $99 on the bridal registry purchase they will ship it at no cost to you. My only negative is that parking is weird at this location.
We were shopping for a very specific item and the associate who helped us was very knowledgeable and forthcoming with their advice. The pricing may seem a little high, but the quality is very good. We would have purchased a dining table on the spot, but the model and size we wanted wasnt going to be available until mid-March of 2019.
Nice place but definitely quality for the price.
Love this location. Great variety amazing furniture and supplies for a beautiful home and great friendly staff
Everybody is really helpful and nice. The store is always clean so you find what you need.
I had an excellent experience with Karen, who helped us with a piece of furniture. She was so kind and helpful throughout the process, and was super conscientious about details she thought we may want to know. Her amazing customer service made everything easy and pleasant.
The store is beautiful inside. From housewares to furniture and unique wall art. Close to a few good restaurants and the Galleria.
Great selection of kitchen tools, dishes, utensils. second floor has great furniture. its a pricey place but very clean, well organized and has a free park house right across the street for easy access
I always have a good experience in this store. They have a wide selection of home goods with a look that is current but often has a slight mid-century lean. They rotate their merchandise seasonally but they have a set of bread-and-butter merchandise that cn always be found.
My favorite store for the most up to date appliances & barware
Fast, friendly service/curbside pickup.
Nice experience, with quality sales people and great products
Great store. Not cheap, but quality products and knowledgeable staff.
Everyone was so stinkin nice! Got some great items, so far great quality and very stylish.
We spent $3500 on a sofa with a chaise and within a few months the cushions started to break down. Customer service is horrible. They finally sent someone to the house to take pictures but only after many calls and emails. It has been a week since the person came to take pictures and no one has contacted us. We will never purchase from Crate and Barrel again.
We purchased a bed frame from CB2 with a teak finish in 2013 in St. Louis at the store near the Galleria. In the move from St. Louis to NYC, we called to request assistance from the NYC CB2 store because the frame had broken in one section, and we were looking to have someone from the store work on the frame. Up to now, no one has returned our request to fix the defect, and the purchase of this bed cost us quite a bit of money. We are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service offered by CB2, and would not recommend that anyone buy products from the store. We do not purchase anything from them anymore, and instead buy furniture from Wayfair, which provides good quality and is much less expensive.
Love this place. They are a little expensive, but you know you are getting quality. They actually have customer service.
Loved the convenience. Online order pickup parking right in front of store.
Very nice and helpful sales reps.
Warning! Their warehouse pick-up option is an absolute clown show. Have to have an appointment. Cant seem to get the appointments scheduled correctly and have to literally wait weeks. Customer service is totally oblivious and unresponsive. If you want to buy with the warehouse pick-up option, dont buy. And when you try to post comments on the Crate & Barrel web site, they censor them.
Iβm happy excellent customer Service . Karen really helps usπ₯
As overpriced, yuppie furniture stores go, this one is ok. Customer service is just alright; occasionally the staff can get a little snippy, even when the store is virtually empty. Also I donβt love that throw blankets are all acrylic given how expensive they are.
Great selection, helpful staff, high quality furniture. Not as expensive as you think.
Super nice helpful staff, clean store, they have everything you need for your home.
Company has an idiotic price match policy. Something bought within the return window is not eligible for price match. You have to return it and then buy it again in order get the better price. Bad for them and bad for the customer.
My experience at this Brentwood/Richmond Heights Crate and Barrel store today (10/28/17 at around 2pm) could not have been a more unpleasant, frustrating, or tedious experience, and I left the store questioning if a registry with Crate and Barrel was the right call.My wife and I went into the store to return a few items from our wedding registry. While we were there, we noticed that Crate and Barrel had a 20% off sale that covered the majority of our registry items that had been purchased (wine glasses, flatware, and dinnerware). We went up to the front counter and dealt with an employee named Sandy. Right away we were under the impression that Sandy did not want to be bothered by our questions regarding a 20% store credit for our registry items based on the current sale. She rolled her eyes and requested a manager to answer our questions. The manager said that she could not give us any store credit for the difference and the only way to get credit for the 20% discount is to return all of our registry items and buy them back again. When I asked Sandy more about making returns to take advantage of the sale, she rolled her eyes and was very short with us. We left the store feeling extremely disappointed because Sandy and the manager acted like we were being cheap and did not belong in Crate and Barrel. As soon as I got home, I called the Crate and Barrel Wedding Registry department. The employee on the line, Michelle, could not have been more patient and helpful (unlike Sandy at the Brentwood store). Not only did Michelle provide me with a gift card credit based on the difference in cost due to the current sale (which the manager and Sandy at the physical store told me I absolutely could not do), but she also voiced her appreciation that we went with Crate and Barrel for our registry. Next time I have a question or need to place an order, I highly suggest avoiding the physical store and just going through the online department and the Crate and Barrel Website. This Brentwood store seems too busy and too important to deal with some of its customers.
Excellent service and always has what I am shopping for
Great store, selection and staff
Love this store but a little pricy
Helpful and friendly staff, very nice place to browse furniture.
The kitchen was shut down due to technical difficulties. I can deal with that. There was an employee outside informing the white patrons as they arrived but did not inform my party of which were black. I couldnt hear what she told them as I was not within hearing range. She allowed my party to walk right by her and didnt say a word.
Lovely items but far overpriced. Sales and discounts keep me coming back.
Great place for bar ware and specialty drink glasses.
Very nice store excellent gift options
Most of the stuff is not worth the price you are paying for it. The furniture is particularly egregious. Save your money and find someone who actually knows how to craft a set of shelves, and buy from them. You will be saving money in the long run, and supporting an actual craftsperson.
Nice Crate and Barrel. A bit difficult to get into as its off of the main mall and on a small faux streets development.
They were really easy to make a wedding registry with
Great shop for your kitchen or home.
Great store, but the furniture is far too expensive. I pretty much just go for things to use in the kitchen.
The store: Pricey, but nice. (3 stars)The location: Prime (5 stars)
Easy parking. Neat stuff.
Ok. Not necessarily a place I would go out of my way to get to
Lots of darling items and accessoriesfor your home. Furniture is beautiful but a little pricey.
Expensive, but they have nice items.
I like many items here with modern taste
Cute stuff for our kitchen!
U donβt get greeted if your black
High quality, beautiful design.
Amazing stuff but sometimes items are overpriced.
Nice store but
No one offered to help me and I couldnt find what I was looking for
Pritty but EXPENSIVE
One of my 1 furniture stores
Good price
Great store
Overpriced
