This Travel Centers Of America on Highway 17 in Richmond Hill is a convenient stop for just about everything you need to do on the road. They have a well managed facility that is easy to access and get in and out of and be on your way. I have had a good experience each time I have been here.

It is a TA like many others... But Today Sara Wilson & Charles went ABOVE & BEYOND to help my 94 year old dad who must use a walker. When leaving the bathroom dads knees & legs gave up on him -- he could barely walk. Charles saw me struggling with dad & immediately came to help. Sara (Mgr?) arrived almost immediately too. Sara came up with a BRILLIANT IDEA & went running -- came back with office chair with wheels. Dad was able to sit comfortably as mainly Sara & Charles rolled him to the door. Only a few feet later and dad was safely in car -- Charles helped with that too.I cannot Thank these two kind people enough for so quickly coming to our aid. THANK YOU Charles and Sara.

Extortion at its finest! Use an app to reserve a spot. I guess you are supposed to use your phone going down the road. Half the spots are reserved and people are very rude.

Good Robbie, im glad they told you that you couldnt park there. Theres WAY more options for places to park for you fools in those pickups. Leave big rig parking ALONE. Tired of having to see drivers park on on ramps because people like YOU take up truck parking. Lets also add the fact that youre not supposed to be sleeping in your pickup per DOT regulations. Its not a qualifying sleeper.

Store manager had store employee tell me I could not park in a parking spot with my truck and 40 trailer. I stop here a good bit on my travels for fuel and snacks, needless to say I will not be stopping anymore. Whats this world coming too when you cant park your truck and trailer in a designated truck and trailer parking spot at a truck stop??

Been sitting at this shop since 1 pm for a trailer tire replacement..: see 3 mechanics working on 1 truck and that truck is only getting a pm .... me and the driver beside me been waiting at there door to be pulled in for a hour now ... TA y’all need to do better and get a express lane... the mechanics are in the office when they need to be out here fixing on these trucks ..it’s now 4:22 and we’ve been pulled up since 3 :15... it’s now 6:46 pm and me and the other guy is still in the door 5 hour laters for trailer blow outs .... listen trucker family go to the loves down the street if you need any repairs these guys are sorry as hell

Went in for a oil change, they pulled me in the bay, said to maybe three hours to get to me. 3 1/2 hours later I went to the desk for an ETA and the original two advisors were gone off shift. The mechanic tried to get smart just because I asked how much longer, so I left. I can spend my money where my business is appreciated!

Pulled in the TA service to replace one tire, “mechanic” said maximum time 45 minutes. 25 minutes go by, we come by the service area, the “mechanic” didn’t even take the wheel off! In fact, he struggled to do so. We were on a tight schedule, manager of TA service didn’t give a care, and we decided to leave elsewhere. TA service desk lady had an attitude because we were in a rush, but excuse me? I have cars to deliver to 9 customers, I can’t have some inexperienced mechanic try to replace my tire for who knows how long? This place has no respect for truck drivers and their time.Also, this TA, please hire experienced mechanics so we don’t have all this hope that the job will be done.

Walked in at 8, checked in at 11, and they started working on me at 4 in the afternoon. At 10 pm I told them that I would take it somewhere else and the lady at the front desk told me that I should probably take it to a dealer

2:42 a.m. I get a persistent knock at the door telling me I have to move from my parking space to about 200 away to another parking space So I comply but it made no sense as the lot was almost empty??? I was parked by the van. No remote for the TV in the drivers lounge

Overpriced poorly made hamburgers and wings. If you feel like having a $20 hamburgermeal where you hamburger is poorly cooked in a hurry, they forgot uour wings, and when you finally get them they still have red meat and liquid in them, then this is a place to eat. There were 3 cooks in the kitchen, yet i watched them get 3 orders weing before i for mine wrong too.

Under construction, restrooms are clean. Lot of parking spaces. Some of them are reserved parking but always empty,Parking lot not clean.Waffle House and Wendy’s and KFC Taco Bell on other side of parking lot. And a chrome shop and truck wash. Hotels at walking distance.One stop for Truckers.

This review is ONLY intended towards the MECHANIC SHOP. 4/17/21 checked into the shop at around 3:10pm to have our truck looked at for an air leakage and get a lvl 1 DOT Inspection done. Was told to wait in bay 5, that it would be 2 hrs as there were 2 other trucks having service done in the bay ahead of us.4 hours go by and the entire time we watch as all 5 mechanics lolligag around wasting time chatting to each other, being on their phones, smoking cigs, walking back n forth not giving a care about us waiting there.Not one of them gives us any eye contact, no, Im sorry for the long wait or Ill be right with you. Nothing! No phone call from the shop desk. Just totally unprofessional and no consideration in the least for us.We decide to go park before the place fills up and decide to head into shop to cancel our appt. As we get the front desk the guy there was rude, asked for our company name twice and than proceeded to conveniently say, oh we were were just about ready for you.We explained politely that we had been waiting for 4 hrs to be seen after being told only 2 hrs, yet you have mechanics out there just nonchalantly walking around doing nothing. We politely tell him we wish to cancel and he was like mmhmm.No apology, no sympathy, nothing from him.. Real nice treatment. Mmmhmmm ...Soo, let me just say if any truck driver is looking to get service done on your truck in a timely fashion with professional consideration ... IT ISNT HERE AND DONT COME HERE. Please save yourself the frustration and the more than likely overpriced bill youll receive from them.

Friendly and nice and they show that when you first walk in the door with a greeting. Makes you feel like theyre glad to see you. Store is always clean or being cleaned when Im there.

TA cant understand why drivers are spending less money in their stores, but heres a fine example as to why - in the store, they have bamboo back scratchers that are marked to be sold by the manufacturer at 99 cents, but TA has marked the price on the shelf up to $2.19. Absolutely ridiculous how this corporation operates to rip off drivers as hard as they possibly can.

Good coffee, friendly staff, and gift shop. I was able to buy my daughter stuffed animales for Christmas. Decent gas prices.

The gas was cheap, the coffee is good. The bathrooms were clean, the staff was attentive. And they play good music indoors and out... which I enjoyed while I took an unbothered break in their parking lot.I will definitely visit again.

I dont know what some of you posting ahead of me considers clean,Ive never seen this place clean.4 girls working behind counter(2 registers) and bathroom is trashed,no tp for striking and no paper towels for hands.Unfortunatly my coat fell on the bathroom floor,nasty as it is I just left it.Nowhere here a driver can get an actual meal early morning hours.This is why Loves and Pilot/FlyingJ kicks your asses.TA was my favorite chain 25 yrs ago,damn shame how its being run these days.Will be my final visit to this one...plain filthy🤢🤮

This store is mostly put together well. A little dirty. But able to be shopped. Prices are ok. Th you lady working the register severely lacks customer service.This station as a driver lounge.Laundry mat.Simi cooked food.You have to get your cups from the register.On a nice note. It is right off 95.

I stopped by this TA for the second time in less than a week to get an oil change and they still don’t have anyone available to do the work. The same guy at the desk said that all of their techs are on road calls, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Take into consideration its only 6:30 in the evening. There should always be someone working in the shop regardless. This guy didn’t even bother to add me to the list, he just waited for me to leave. Very poor customer service on his part. I usually stop here but with that guy working the desk I’ll have to find another shop to go to.

This place does accept real money because they can’t tell if it’s real because their machine doesn’t take. You shouldn’t work with money if you can’t tell what is real or not. Also if the machine is what tells you if it’s real than why even have real people work here. I hate this store!!!

Popeyes Chicken is located here - love the chicken! However, it took 40min for 2 chicken sandwich meals & 8 piece tenders.Will NOT be back to this location for a while. BTW, it was not busy!

Dont expect any sleep during the day, FedEx and xpo uses lot as a trailer swap lot and they dont care about the sleeping drivers.

Stopped here today 3/3/21, at 8:25 am to put diesel on our truck and the register lady had a bad attitude, she didn’t even asked me for the company name even though it was on the commercial pump diesel only. May be she had a bad day but she is supposed to ask for the company name before she charges for the fuel, this never happened to me before. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Bathrooms were partially clean, they just need to clean the bathrooms doors.

Maybe its bad timing, but can never get in and out of this location. Its takes long getting your truck to the mechanic then it takes them to work on it. Why would this company want me to take my truck here for just a DOT inspection. I got other things to do other than sitting up at a truck shop waiting to receive services. Cant even leave the truck here until they get to it.

Store seemed clean for the most part. Nice selection of items. My complaint comes in at the coffee section. There are no cups out. You must ask the cashier for a cup due to Covid. I can understand that part. But what I dont get is the fact that I have to wait in line to get a cup and once I do.....the cashier who has been handling everyones money and credit cards plus touching all the items brought up to purchased...hands me a cup without washing her hands. JUST LEAVE THE DANG CUPS AT THE COFFEE STATION! ITS NO SAFER FOR ANYONE TO HAVE THE CASHIERS NASTY HANDS ON YOUR CUP!Just think about it people. Makes no sense at all!

Loved our lunch and the service was excellent. Fast and friendly Staff greeted us with Smiles. Snacking ideas for our trip were really good. Lots of nice cold drinks for everyone at a reasonable price. Loved our break from the highway and the traffic here. We will stop by again for all these reasons.

Is my first time make checkin 4:00pm to fixed my truck wheel seal and up to now 9:00 pm still waiting, I don’t how long it takes to get a bay.. lookslike slow but will share you time takes and how much cost me. Thanks

Great truck stop that’s very clean and well lit at night. We stop a a ton a trucks stops and TA is the majority of those stops.I like that this truck stop has amazing people working there and is always clean.The fuel prices here are always pretty even with elsewhere. If you’re thinking of stopping here I suggest you do so. 😁

Great place to stop.

Very clean plenty of parking for both bobtail and trucks with trailer. Popeyes usually very busy. Fuddruckers special ribeye great food. Cashier was to busy texting to take my order or even welcome me. I had to ask her to take my order. Even while giving it she finished her text. While processing my payment she went back to texting. Wow. Otherwise this place shines staff is usually very friendly and welcoming. Showers are great!

I stop and eat here often. I have always been welcomed and treated like family. As a veteran OTR/CDL driver I have the honor of sitting in the drivers section with the other Professional Transportation Engineersand I have always had excellent service. On my most recent visit, (07/23/17), I had breakfast. I was fortunate to be blessed with having Ms. Brenda and Candice take my order. Even though I only see them once or twice a month they always greet me with a big smile and like a long lost friend and make sure that my order is always right. They check back continually to see if everything is alright and if I need anything else. They always ask if Im OK and how things are going. After a long day of tractor trailer trucking and dealing with traffic, the hassles of shipping departments and getting loaded and unloaded, a pleasant conversation is always nice.The cooks name is Donnie and he deserves a gold star. He makes the best pancakes Ive every had; and Ive eaten a trailer full over the years! He knows his craft and hes good at it. He even came out to check to see if the chow was ok, it was better than ok, it was excellent.So, if youre traveling along I-95 in Georgia, The T/A at mile marker 87 is my recommendation. Ask for Ms. Brenda,Candice, and ask for Donnie to cook your pancakes. You wont regret it! Tell them Patrick/Foxfire said Hello, and drivers Keep it between the ditches.

First time here great place

I waiting nine hours for updating dot inspection, I came 8 pm, front desk told me no one unable do dot inspection, Mechanik will coming at 12:00 mid night, but there was three mechanics one job, I mean one trailer they try fix lamp, at 12:00 mechanics came I am still waiting until 05:00 am shop was empty no trucks no any job, I go to front desk he said no mechanics, mechanic gone, when I waiting there no one come fix issues, I was worrying why no one come to fix issues, worrying was right, I didn’t update my dot inspection and I left this place and I’ll never come back this shop

They took 7 hours to change the tire and front desk black lady is very rude,unprofessional and doesnt have manners ..she needs training how to treat your Customers.

Stopped to get air dryer filter replaced. Got right in. Mechanic was friendly and quick. So was service manager. Store and bathrooms were clean. Nice large parking lot. This place is on my list of good places to stop.

I went there to get my inside tire of my RV checked because it was low and I wanted them to blow it up and they absolutely did not want to help me at all They told me they didnt work on RVs and to go to a regular tire store which doesnt work on RVs either. So they are not helpful at all.

Front desk clerk at the service center has absolutely ¡ZERO! mental capacity to communicate to the customers! Drivers if you like to burn your time? This is the best place to do it! Don’t waste your time and money here!

Nasty place. Corporate needs to do something about this place. Management needs a schooling on how to meet customers demands for speedy service. 18 hr wait for a PM Service is not good. PM service should be in and out.

I was told at 6:13 an hour-and-a-half wait 4a p.m. when they pull me in the shop at 7 22 they tell me I got to pull out because theres a guy has been a guy there since 2 but they forgot about every time I come to this place the shop is never organized they never tell you the right times on the Waits never again

This location is BUSY!But everything seemed to run smooth and restrooms were clean.I actually stopped for Fuddruckers... Again it was BUSY, but fast and efficient. I would stop again!

Had to have my trailer tire replaced and a dot inspection updated. parking was full by the time they finished the job. they were kind enough to let me stay in the work bay overnight! I was so stressed watching the lot fill up, first free parking, then all the reserved as well. LM is the the best. thank you.

TA had a large variety of items for sale to meet travelers needs.I regretted not buying the very reasonably priced lined hoodie and hat and gloves while I was there.I want to go back and buy the giant unicorn stuffed animal for my daughter.The coffee was good. The bathrooms were clean.

Restrooms were clean and attendants were nice, but the burger that ordered was less then appealing. I understand that its fast food, but still I want my food at least look nice.

Absolutely loved this truck stop! Had AC freon charged and stayed the rest of the day. From the mechanics to the shower attendees everyone was polite! And I can not express how clean the whole place is. This is definitely on our favorites now! Great job the rest of the TA needed to train from this team!!

Shop was great, got in and out quickly. 2corry and Cal and the manager Bill were awesome! They are down to earth people and top notch mechanics. Other things we didnt even ask them to look at, they fixed. Angelina & Tamera was very nice as well.Thank you TA Service!🙏

Theyve got a Popeyes and Fuddruckers at this station. Great places to eat- i was not dissappointed.

There is no negative star enough for this place.i am sorry the place dont know any better i mean the people working in it.. WARNING. this guys are not worth it at all. Thief no more than is what theyre. Stay away truckers. The positive stars here are from 4 wheel cars That just stop for a quick fill up and snack. About 20 hour for a 324. Oil change and the final bill was 448.

They are not practicing social distancing or any precautions for Covid 19 and they look at you funny if your wearing a mask. They act like it’s not even out there.

The staff here were extremely accommodating! I was not in a truck and they still went above and beyond to assist me! Even while being short staffed, the manager took the time to ensure I was seen about! A very well run business with top notch employees! Thanks for all you continue to do!

Competent staff would be a good start. After that I would recommend fixing the shower system before another person has their shower given to someone else.

10-17-2019 to 10-18-2019Got here at 19:00 hours to get my truck serviced (an oil change) its now 04:00 the next day, my truck is in their bay and not one mechanic has looked at it. oh and you cant sleep in your truck when its in the bay; so I havent been to bed either and Ive got a delivery at 07:00.Best one word description for their truck service HORRIBLE.The girl behind the counter originally called me at midnight to tell me that I was next in line and pull my truck into Bay number two. Which I did. By 02:30 I got upset because I knew that not one mechanic had even look at it then she told me that oh the mechanic is on a road call. Around 03:30 I could see all the road crew trucks came back, still no mechanic looked at it. I go back in at 04:10 and ask how my 4-hour oil change is going and she replies oh the mechanic is waiting for a patch to dry on a tire on another truck. Hes going to get to you next after Ive been told at midnight that I was next WTF over. I asked why she didnt just wake me up at 04:00 in the morning to get all this done instead of at midnight no reply... crickets.Its now 05:00 and they just started servicing the truck. LOL They came up to me to tell me that they dont have the correct fuel water separator filter, Lord forbid that you check your inventory 10 hours before you accept the job.05:30 walked out to the maintenance bay and to my surprise, no mechanic. What a circus... avoid this service center like the plague.

I picked up a ld in savanna around 2:am after arriving at shipper I smelled a strong odor of Sulphur after checking around my truck I noticed a battery was leaking I called breakdown they hooked me up with TA n Richmond Hill ga they werent very busy and that time so they got my truck n the shop with no issues the lady at the counter got the ball rolling n just a few months the mechanic done his job after a short time n the shop under 1hr and two bad batteries replaced I was out of there im sorry I didnt get there names but they no who they are there are other people that could learn a lot about there proffecialism thanks for the great job folks keep up the good attitude it goes along way and wont b forgotten.

I just joined my husband on the road, a trucker, and we have been to many truck stops in the last week. And with all thats going on with truckers i am very disappointed in all the reserve parking that i see. If TA doesnt make enough from fuel, food, showers, and truck services why not make more money from them to park and rest.No wonder so many are on the side of the road...unsafe i might add....because they cant AFFORD TO PARK.Everyone wants to commend the front line workers of Covid...and yes i do as well having several nurses in my family, but what are truckers....they are on the front line delivering food, medical supplies such as gloves, equiment, mask, etc...so how about it TA...cant you spare parking for a while til America gets back on their feet..truckers as well?

If you came here for a shower and they give you #7, tell them you need a different shower! Twice in the last 4 weeks I got shower 7 and the water is ice cold. I told the manager, but they just dont care!

Front desk clerk at the service center has absolutely ZERO common sense. Wanted us to wait 8 hours to put a tire on a rim with 5 horses on the trailer in near 90 degree heat. Eight hours for a 10 minute max job. Needless to say we left. On our way to the Loves Truck Stop up the road.

It was a bit late so not as busy, there are not prices on certains things which is annoying and the cashiers do not have a sense humor, the over all place was decent, the bathrooms were clean but that might of been because they just got done cleaning them.And of course everything is way over priced!Go figureSafe driving and beware of the big rigs aka semis they can not always see you and they cant stop on a dime just like that so dont try to muscle them they are 80,000 lbs bigger

Yes truck stops of America is a great location to travel into to get a good price on gas even if youre getting off of the interstate you can get a good price on gas and walk on the inside and have a choice for restaurants for different types of food fried food real food hot dogs hamburgers or chicken for salads so you can get a good cost on food gas and even on the inside of the store you can get movies hats magazines and such for people that may be on a vacation traveling visit that may need to stop and get things that they can use for themselves in the car net Comfort pillows and all is there available so its very reasonable in the area for everything for all people and the location is great please Bob visit you shall enjoy

Stayed over the weekend. Ample truck parking, but quite a few reserved spaces at $18 a piece and many of those empty. Can walk to nearby fast food. Fuddruckers and Popeyes are a little too pricey.

The rooms were amazing for the price but the service for towels and other things are not so good. English isnt even spoken among the staff. Over all it was a nice stay though.

Big lot, clean. Shop knows what they’re doing. People are actually professional and nice. Decent change of pace from what’s becoming normal. Will come back.Edit. Bumping this down. A lot. I should have done this before. Forgot about it. The repairs the shop did were literally the opposite of what was needed. They didn’t break anything any further but didn’t actually fix any of the issues for longer than the 20 minutes it took to leave the shop and get on the interstate.

Iam truck driver wife. So every new been on road 2mos l like TA the workers are very polite. Good food on the run and the restaurants Bathroom are clean I like to use cover paper above the toilet I feel like everyone should have them TA have mostly everything need it definitely get ☆☆☆☆☆

Very nice people BUT their cleanliness isnt the same. There was no toilet paper in two stalls of the restroom.. The toilet/shower was not clean. I cleaned the toilet myself.. The bench in the restroom was in the shower so someone had sat their nakedness on it, BEWARE.. Normally, I sit my bag down on the bench.. The floors show how they clean the shower rooms and itd not good.. Just beware, there are a lot of cooties out there that we can get. The 2 is for the friendliness, that goes a long way!

Ta is a great place to stop they have quality merchandise and foods great gasoline prices very clean restrooms theyre just no one like them and I mean that all of their employees are outstanding how they treat the customers greeting you and they way they take care of you its like you are home I highly recommend it

I learned from my ex-boyfriend, who was a truck driver, to always stop at truck stops to use the bathroom while traveling. The reason is because the bathrooms are always clean and there are always people there, so its safe. Im never disappointed when I stopped at a TA. Thanx!

We fixed our bicycle tire flat and charged the electronics and chilled in the lounge and had wonderful milk on food stamps.
