I went today to see if I could have a muffler delete and a straight pipe/ exhaust tip installed on my sons 2007 ford focus. When I arrived late in the day (4;30 pm) I noticed a similar car on the rack that was undergoing a similar installation. They kindly started the engine and let me hear the new sound post muffler removal. It was perfect! .......The next thing I know, Im headed off to their other shop (nearby) for exactly the same solution with a exhaust tip in hand. To my amazement the whole installation was less than 30 minutes.Every once awhile you come across people who truly believe in personal service and quality products and services. And smiling all the way through. I cant say enough good about this place... Will be back

Took my a6 in there today and was pleasantly surprised with how friendly and professionally i was treated when asking for a custom exhaust. They brought my car on the lift and we went over options and pricing. I ended up replacing my mufflers with straight pipes and had them create and X-Pipe to replace my center resonator. 3 hours later my car is a whole different beast then before. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Will be bringing all my cars here from now on.

What a lifesaver! Extremely helpful, professional and great customer service! Someone tried to steal the catalytic converter off my SUV. They used a saw and were unsuccessful but did a lot of damage. MGR was nice enough to fit me into their schedule. They welded the pipe and got me back on the road right away. Thank you MGR! 5 stars ***** !

I lived in Richmond for 46 years and have to say this is the best place to go for everything you need for your car. MGR not only knew what they were doing but went beyond their services to help get my car CAT certified and smog. Went for a quote for catalytic converters and the guy was charging $6000 are you serious the parts cost about 500 bucks. Went to another place $2500 for everything what a rip off

Was referred to MGR by the Toyota Dealership in Oakland to repair my broken flex pipe in the exhaust system. I have an old Toyota Highlander and the pipe had rusted out, causing a crazy loud rumbling noise close to the engine! I’m on a student budget and was told that “these guys are the best and cheapest for anything exhaust related!” They were right— I was so well taken care of! MGR immediately took my car in, diagnosed the issue for free, and walked me through the whole diagnosis. They were 1/4 of the dealership prices and I’m so so grateful to both MGR and the Toyota Dealership for such honest, awesome service. Hope to not be back any time soon; but if I had to, I wouldn’t hesitate on using MGR in the future.

After having my vehicle’s check engine light diagnosed, I brought my vehicle here to have the bank 2 catalytic converter replaced. I provided them with paperwork which clearly indicates that the bank 2 catalytic converter was the catalytic converter that had to be replaced. Funny enough, a few days after they “replaced” the bank 2 cat, the check engine light reappeared. I had the vehicle once again scanned by a technician, only to find the same code (P0430). After coming back to MGR and showing this to the owner, the owner checked the vehicle and said that the employee who had done the work to my car had replaced the incorrect catalytic converter. To make the situation worse, the owner said that he had recently acquired the shop, and that the employee who had performed the work on my vehicle was no longer working for him. Therefore he decided to tell me that he was not liable nor responsible for any of the wrong work his shop had done to my vehicle. Luckily, after researching, I found that he also manages Mr. Muffler, another muffler shop in the Richmond area where I happened to find the employee who originally changed the wrong catalytic converter on my vehicle. After speaking with the employee, I came to find that the owner I spoke with at MGR Muffler was still his boss. The employee informed me that he was going to check with the owner, to see if there was anything they could do about the situation. A few days went by without any updates, and so I had to go to the shop once again, where the employee literally told me that the owner was not going to fix the job his employee did wrong in the first place. So not only does this shop not stand behind their work, they also charged me $550 dollars to keep and remove the wrong catalytic converter. In other words, the catalytic converter they removed was in perfect working order, and we all know how much catalytic converters cost nowadays. Keep all of this in mind when thinking about taking your car to one of this man’s muffler shops; terrible service, and very non-professional.Take your money elsewhere, and don’t let yourself be scammed!!

My car is lowered on coil overs. I been driving it like that for 4 years now. And it was time to do some repiping. I live like 5mins away from the shop and I figured I’d go see what the hype is all about. How people be saying it’s a good friendly shop. Anyways I went inand the guy seems nice but at first he didn’t want to do business because my car was too low. And regardless if we do, do business he said it will get messed up again because the car is too low. I told him just to replace the pipe that’s connected to the cat and from the muffler. To me it looks like a easy fix but at the end, he end up doing it for me. The price was reasonable. And it only took about 45mins. I was happy with the results. I would recommend this shop for people that likes in the 510 area.

These people are honest and straight up awesome! I went in two years ago with my old toyota pick up which are notorious for the exhaust pipe breaking below the manifold. I had mine welded a few times but never held. Its old pick up and i dont have a lot of money for a complete exhaust system. Well he cut out the bad section and did some kind of internal weld repair and then fallowed up with an outside weld with a cross member to increase the strength. It looks like a work of art! Not to mention that it has held for over two years now. BTW my good old reliable toyota is lowered and very bouncy and i commute six days a week to hayward on the 880 freeway. Anyone whi drives that route knows if you have something loose its gonna fall off. Lol not the repair job at MGR Muffler. The technition was a no BS straight forward guy and was honest in telling me it wasnt a gaurateed fix, which I knew but being a person of limited money did me a solid and did an incredible fix and only charged me a hundred bucks. Worth every penny and even though he didnt gaurantee it to last. Its been two years and is still holding strong! Im certain it will last as long as my good ole picke up will! Thanks to MGR Muffler. You will be my number one choice for my future muffler needs.
