Dont sleep on getting here soon. The setting is very quaint and you get a very personal touch. From the flowers to the water to the plate setting this place is a must stop. Started off with Asparagus sald with a cashew butter that was amazingly fresh and light. Steak tartar with b&b pickles with Billy bread that was melt in your mouth. Finished off with Pork chop and Radicchio gratin with a mustard sauce that was deliciously cooked and very tasty.This place will get packed and will have a difficult time getting a table so get in early and enjoy.

Came to the market which is first come first serve seating with the same menu as the fully booked saison. Two large plates and both meats were very over cooked and the dishes themselves didn’t make much sense. Over priced food for the quality (9/10 for atmosphere and 10/10 for the beer selection in both individual cans and to go packs)

Another accidental find when I was in Richmond and a happy one for sure. Enjoyed a latte while wondering if I should also drink a glass of wine or try some craft beer. I stuck to my coffee and a much needed glass of ice cold water, while enjoying a cool down from the heat of Richmond.Nice atmosphere and I felt very welcome here. I personally did not eat here but saw many of the other occupants food and it looked really good.Cool place to hand out and it was obvious that many people do just that here.

I ordered the Fancy Chicken Biscuit and a cup of cappuccino for Sunday brunch. I really enjoy them. I like how they can keep their menu simple and focus on making great selection of food and drinks. The place has great ambience and people are friendly. Highly recommended.

Saison has amazing coffee and mixed drinks, and their selection of beer and wine is excellent. I wish they had a better selection of vegan dinner entrees, but their vegan breakfast burrito is super yummy. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful!

Where to begin...I consider myself to be a generally fair patron-- hence, the 3 stars. The food was good. The coffee was good. I loved the glassware. But allow me, for a minute to paint a brief picture for you. You are inconsolably hungover. You have just downed a breakfast burrito, followed by a tall Bloody Mary. The world begins to realign. You are then told that you are expected to...bus your own table. Im no chef/bartender, but I could have done any of this at home therein avoiding feeling violated both emotionally and financially. how do we feel about bussing our own table? are we as a society endeavoring into a co-operative style dining experience? Moreover, are these co-operative style dining experiences a slippery slope? overall good vibes though, and wed recommend the brunch tbh. fun fact John Adams lived to be 91, would he have stood for this?

Ordered the “Fancy” Chicken Biscuit and I wish I’d ordered two. It was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted. Moist, flavourful, filling, just perfect. And a great price too! Staff were friendly and the cafe had a very relaxed vibe to it. Would highly recommend going to get that chicken biscuit.

The “Fancy” Chicken biscuit was delicious. The egg was perfect and paired well with the spicy homemade sausage gravy and biscuit. The chicken itself was incredibly moist with a nice kick and crispy breading. The coffee wasn’t very exciting and the beers and wines were pricey, but overall a cool concept with a variety of choices to buy.

Food and cocktails here are delicious, service is always quick and attentive. Their market also has a great variety of choices. The coffee they serve was also a surprisingly good. I will definitely be coming back.

This place is really cool. Its interesting to find a place that serves coffee, tea, beer, & wine at the same time. Really creative concept.Has a pretty quiet and chill vibe, and super pleasant staff. My favorite burger in town...and some of the top fried chicken. All the best food of Saison, with a quiet, relaxed and quirky atmosphere. This market has an impressive spread of aperitifs and digestive, as well as beer, wine, sodas, etc. Great spot for breakfast or coffee.

Richmond has some great chefs, and THIS is one of the best! Try the congee, you wont regret it!We just ordered takeout during the covid quarantine, and let me tell you, its looking like Thanksgiving over hurrrrr!

I had a nice conversation invert a glass of wine here. I have not experienced everything that this market has to offer, but I enjoyed my visit and I will say that the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming.

If youre looking for a relaxed, cozy place to grab a drink, soak up the city night, buy some bitters for later, and grab a beer or two to take home, this is your jam. You wont regret giving this a chance. Bonus: absolutely delicious food from next door is available.

Cute spot. Street parking nearby, you should be able to park within a quarter mile. Beer selection was surprisingly vast, as were their wines. Chicken sandwich and biscuit are both delicious. They dont take reservations. If youre going to want to sit down, expect to wait a few minutes before a table clears up.

Manager was real nasty.....took back a over cooked chicken sandwich breast sandwich.and her mouth was not polite as it should have been...this was the second time they burnt my food....

Hot for the moment trendy coffee shop. A X Large coffee 24 oz should cost about $2. In the real world. That is not the situation here. The decor is cool but thats about it.

This place surprisingly have best coffee in Richmond! I tried the cortado and iced coffee latte. They are better then any specialized coffee shops in the city.

The dude with the bike should not be totally blocking the sidewalk while socializing with our door diners. 6 people had to step into the street to get around his bike in which he knew it was totally blocking the sidewalk. When informed he was blocking the sidewalk, he said, Dont touch my bike, walk around it.: Next time we are going to walk through him. Idiot.

This market is one of my favorite eateries in the up-and-coming diversify Jackson Ward neighborhood. I have enjoyed many great meals and drinks at this establishment. That’s why I was totally taken aback when I went into the establishment today and was greeted by a rude and I employe that’s why I was totally taken by surprise by the rudeness of the young lady at the counter. My mirror question regarding ingredients in items on the menu was met with sarcasm and rudeness. Great food great atmosphere but it’ll be a while before I ever consider setting foot back in the door.

Great warm weather spot. I love the wine tastings they have every Saturday for $5. Perfect if you wanna learn more about wine or alcohol in general. The staff is awesome!

I stop here for lunch occasionally. Good tacos and barbeque. The also are a mini convenience store for basic groceries, beer, wine, cigarettes, and candy. Its a bit slow but worth it. Its also the most Hipster Pinteresty place in Richmond in my opinion. And thats saying alot.

This adorable neighborhood coffee shop is in the middle of an interesting neighborhood. I bought a bottle of wine and took it away one night and enjoyed lunch there the next day. The service was great. The barista/servers/counter staff were very friendly. The coffee is fresh and delicious. I had the carnitas and fish tacos. They came on fresh, house made tortillas. The tortillas were rich and chewy with little crispy spots. These made the meal on their own. But, the fish was lightly coated and flash fried, over some pickled, red cabbage and some cilantro sauce. It was perfectly done. The carnitas, however, were the show stoppers. The pork is rich and juicy yet delightfully crispy. This taco had the same accents but with a generous line of cream sauce. Then only thing Id change would be to add the cream sauce to the fish taco as well. The vibe is funky and chill with random maps and posters tagged for sale. Indy music was playing at a perfect volume. Saison has an impressive assortment of micro-brews in six pack and individual bottles for take away. They also have a whole shelf of speciality vermouth and bitters.
